We’ve shopped here a few times, mostly jeans and tees for my husband, and while I haven’t found a dress that fits me just right yet, I always enjoy coming in. The customer service is consistently great, and all the staff members have been very kind every time. I especially want to highlight our last visit: we came in for a pair of sunglasses I had seen online, and the experience was genuinely exceptional. Even though it was a small $70 purchase, the gentleman who helped us made it feel like we were shopping in a luxury boutique. He was professional, kind, and incredibly attentive. Thank you! ❤️

I was trying out some hand bags in fitting room, the security guy coming in to check out what I was doing, searching my shopping bags,he even touched my own jacket which he thought it’s might from the store, well I understand they were just being cautious, but I feel I was offended and disturbed a lot by him because I wasn’t being treated like a customer,I like this brand because their unique designs and cozy vibes, but the experience like this is unacceptable to me,all other stores I shopped was fine except individual store like this, does not show any respect to the customer. And the staff there at second floor wasn’t being friendly also.

Banana Republic has been my go-to brand when I visit the States and this is my first time shopping at this store. Alina made the whole experience memorable. As expected, she noticed that I was holding two pieces and quickly offered to arrange the fitting room for me. She also advised the cost-efficient way of alternation by sharing a funny story with her daughter, adding personal touches to my shopping experience. While I was trying on the clothes, she would frequently checked in and provided styling advice so that I could dress fashionably. I ended up buying six pieces thanks to Alina’s wonderful customer service.

Never experienced this bad staff behavior in a store. First the staff got into my dressing room without knocking, without saying sorry. Then a guy monitoring me around the store, looking at me like I was stealing, not saying anything or smiling or indicating that he's just trying to help. I never experienced something like this, the employees are borderline rude. The security guy at the door is the only chill one.

Alina has made my shopping very enjoyable. She,herself, is very stylish and knowledgeable . This creates trust in her decision making and styling advice. I needed to be in and out very quickly and she suggested to me the exact pieces I needed. Highly recommend this store, wonderful shopping experience!

Had a great shopping experience at BR. I needed a sports jacket and Joel was phenomena, really attentive and with great feedback and style tips. I blew so much money, but I’m stoked.BR has really stepped up their game. Love it!

Honestly I am speechless. Came to make a return as the WC store closed the week I purchased the clothing. All that was said was “receipt!” while explaining the circumstances of the return. No hello, no greeting. No let’s make this right. I work in retail also and I know it’s frustrating to receive return after return but that IS the business. One look at the account and they would’ve known how much money has been spent here the last 10 years. Going to have to rethink that. On my way out only the security guard was polite. The star is for him, not BR.

It wants to come across as a high end emporium but its selections are meager ; but I did like the high ceilings and wooden floors. Store reminds me of a poor man dressed in seemingly sophisticated clothes. It’s better to convert the store to a loft and rent it to me. When J crew and j press exist, banana republic is such a waste of time

Yelp
OK, someone shrunk Banana Republic, and moved it over a few blocks. The new store is much more of a boutique vibe - women's fashions downstairs, men's upstairs. I miss having a fantastically wide selection. Having so many options to try on meant always finding at least a few items to take home. It was a worthy destination when I got to that point where I need a closet update and could get my gf to make the trip with me. But obviously this is the not-quite-post-pandemic/Internet era and that's how things roll. For selection, go to the website. Stores are for...people who are keen to touch the fabric or immediately test the fit. To be honest, all I was looking for over the weekend was a good pair of socks. So, I wasn't disappointed. They didn't have a large selection, but they had what I needed. A stylish pack of three. The sales clerk was nearby, checking out another customer. He got to me quickly. If anything, it is a notable improvement that there's no need to go to a register. He rang me up with his little wireless device. The prices are OK. I've always thought BR was a good place to stay current with style shifts but slightly expensive. The clothes aren't extremely well made. So I only think they're a value when they're on sale. But that happens frequently. Plus, having a BR card, the points rack up quickly and they add up to dollars off. So my socks were very reasonably priced.

Yelp
Banana Republic is back in San Francisco at this new location. Unfortunately the one on Grant Street and the one in the Embarcadero are gone. This new location is smaller and it feels more like a well kept boutique store. The staff is really helpful and friendly. It only has 2 levels, the women's clothing is on the first floor and men's clothing is on the second floor. To keep the store looking streamlined they only have a few sizes for each item on the display racks and I'm sure they will have your size in the back storage. Their current fall collection is incredible. I love the going back to the classic style for men - tweets and herringbone sports coats, button down knit polos, and a lot of cashmere. These type of staple items will have you looking good in the winter and fall for a lifetime. My wife and I wanted to buy the whole store. I was wearing jeans today, but other to that, I only wear Traveler Pants. I mean with EVERYTHING. These pants fits so well they make everything you wear look good. I mean you can actually replace the pants of a black formal suit with a black Traveler pants and be a mismatch color tone formal/casual superstar. Ah just wear some really nice black shoes. Downtown is going thru some challenging times and it is so great to see BR come back during this transformation. Hopefully there will be more things to come that will make a positive impact to this area.

Yelp
Lost a lot of the luster moving to a much smaller space which money wise for the company makes sense. Me and my wife missed the wide open and welcoming space that once was. Didn't even want to go to the mens section on the upper floor.

Yelp
To whom this may concern, I want to make the highest recommendation for Micheal Barent. I was watch shopping with my wife and entered the Banana Republic without any intention of making a purchase. Mike approached me and I let him know that I was not in the market to make a purchase but was there just to look around. Mike greeted me extremely kindly and still decided to wait on me and be available to me knowing that I was not going to be purchasing today. We struck up small conversations and had some good laughs.  It was clear to me that Mike was more concerned about my experience than trying to sell to me. When this became apparent I made the decision to make a purchase from Mike and I want to state, for me, It is the experience and treatment that makes me want to make a purchase from a brand.  Mike is the quintessential, most important person in a public-facing brand. I believe persons like Mike, should be fast-tracked to leadership roles where his stylistics and vision can be implemented brand-wide. In the sales industry persons like Mike are far and few between--Gems is a sea of people"just doing their job" or "waiting to clock out." People that want to make people happy and care are qualities that cannot be trained.  I am an extremely observant person and I can say that the people were pleasant in the store and the location was extremely tidy and organized. This is a reflection of Micheal B. Snypers role.

Yelp
Extremely rude and unprofessional employee-she yelled at us when we asked a question about a clothing item in the store.
