B&B Kasteelhoeve de Kerckhem

Wonderful peaceful and beautiful mediëvals farmstead set round central courtyard all lovingly and expertly restored to excellent standard, all in original oak with pen joints etc. A joy just to walk around the buildings and extended gardens including vegetable garden and orchard ! The rooms are exquisite and quiet. In the downstairs sitting room an blazing fire welcomed us for tea upon arrival; the owners welcomed us with great food all home cooked and most sourced from the garden making our stay an exceptional experience. We will return for a family reunion as such a group weekend would be perfect at de Kerckhem !

We heard such great stories of friends who had previously visited this little gem near Hasselt, Belgium. The hosts are most welcoming and charming; everybody feels at home at once at this cosy place surrounded by an orchard, and with views on flower and veggie beds. Really laid back and relaxed you get the most delicious cakes at teatime, drinks with canapes, and also an excellent dinner. If possible served on one of the terraces, but otherwise in one of the nice salons or the big kitchen. The breakfast is a feast after a good night sleep in one of the beautiful rooms. The hosts are also the proprietors who have renovated all buildings of this Kasteelhoeve with their own hands in the past 23 years! With great success! I strongly advise you to go and experience this special feeling of genuine hospitability!

Great peaceful place with nice warm family atmosphere and overall service on very professional level. Delicious dining mainly from ingredients from own large gardens, with high focus on complete perfection (only fresh ingredients, professional service, plating, diets consideration..) Big charming rooms with high ceilings and the most comfortable (double mattress) beds ever, together with heavy curtains which can make the room total dark, make your nice sleep guaranteed. Also great facilities for small company meetings or teambuildings. Good location for cycling, walks or trips around the country. 100% recommendation!

We very much enjoyed our stay away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The Kasteelhoeve is an oase of greenery with a beautiful garden, cycle routes and walks at your doorstep, very friendly hosts, lovely breakfast and a possibility to have dinner. Dinner is delicious,very inventive and creative and made by the host herself. We would highly recommend this property.

Tuscany was the original plan. C-19 changed the plan. But no worries at Kasteelhoeve De Kerckhem we found a little bit of Tuscany in Limbourg. You immediately see, feel, sense that this beautiful venue was put together with love and passion. Blissful. No surprise when you meet with the owners. They simply make you feel at home and go all out to make your stay a great experience. Beautiful and comfortable rooms, relaxing garden, lavish breakfast and dinner. With emphasis on local, fresh and healthy. We loved it and will be back. It’s a great place to disconnect and enjoy dolce vita and dolce farniente. And the next gen is around to take over the baton.

We ( 3 couples ) enjoyed our stay in the Kerckhem farm ! We recieved a warm welcome and enjoyed the different rooms / terrasses / sleeping rooms / gardens. In the arrangement a refreshing and surprising veggie-based menu was included. During the day we explored the environment by bycicle. Overall a correct quality/price ratio. I can recommend this one.

Very nicely renovated with large luxurious rooms well worth the money. Service should be much bettet and I got the feeling that we booked at an inconvenient time. ||They want to create a homey feeling but they can not or will not interact with the guests.||The room was bot cleaned. Breakfast was poorly served. And dinner was not possible because we were the only guests at that moment?||Hospitality is more than just providing a bed and place to park your car. ||

This is possibly the place with the best atmosphere you will experience anywhere. Wonderful food served in a unique setting, rooms where you will catch up on weeks of sleep. Relaxing by the fireplace, fresh flowers everywhere and vegetables straight from the garden onto your plate. Perfect!
