B&D Trap BBQ

We ordered the six wings, a meat combo with pork ribs and brisket, macaroni and cheese, baked beans, cornbread, and drinks. Unfortunately, the food didn’t live up to expectations. The ribs and brisket both tasted like they’d been sitting for a while, lacking any real freshness or smoke. The wings came out in under five minutes, which made them seem premade. The macaroni and cheese was bland with little seasoning, and the cornbread was triple wrapped in plastic, leaving it with a stale, plastic taste. The sauces were the only thing that added any flavor, but they seemed store-bought. The margarita was overly sweet, tasted artificial, and didn’t seem to have much alcohol. The only decent drink was a bottled beer. They recently opened a second location at Julia and Henry’s food hall in downtown Miami, which honestly raises questions about how they’ll barbecue meat in a setting like that if the quality here already feels mass-produced. Overall, everything felt prepped well in advance, not made with care, and far from what you’d expect at a good BBQ place. I wouldn’t eat here again.

I was craving some bbq and brisket so we were in the area and decided to try this place out. Huge mistake. Customer service was great but that was all. I ordered the two meat combo ribs and brisket and collard greens and Mac and cheese. I wish we would have kept driving. First this is not bbq there is no hint of bbq smoked flavor at all not even an ounce of it. The meat tasted like it was out of the oven with not even any liquid smoke. I am so disappointed and disgusted on top of it not being bbq there was no flavor at all. Not even salt and pepper..we spent $50 for food to go in the trash I cannot eat this. Will never return. Not even worth mentioning the sides. ***UPDATE***** To the business owner that responded to my honest review that was very typical. So you admit that due to your bias of me walking in the door before one word was spoken you knew I was going to have a problem with the food well that’s interesting. I did not have an attitude as you said we haven’t even spoken a word to each other. So based upon my facial expression you gave me bad food? I told the truth about your food and the fact you said it would taste better if I come in with a better attitude is absurd. So your bias allows you to falsely accuse me of being negative based upon facial expression and I received horrible food because of it. That is horrible business practice and just wrong. The fact that I was nice to you meant absolutely nothing because you already proved your bias. I paid for food I’m not your employee so let’s be clear about that. Regardless of your personal views the food should taste how it’s advertised as bbq at the very least. You and your staff know what you did was wrong by serving a paying customer trash food on purpose and then you attack my character to hide the fact that your food was terrible. Yes I will copy and paste this updated response because it’s not worth going back and forth and writing anything other than the truth. I hope a secret shopper finds you and exposes your bias and the way you choose to serve certain people bbq versus what you served me. You are childish and shouldn't own a restaurant. You gave me old food and you know it. It was horrible and I see why look at the owner...fake bbq you need to change the name because it was no such thing...look at the pictures of the food I paid for but because your bias you did it on purpose. I wish you would have had that same energy while I was there because I would have never ordered. I wasn't gonna say anything about you being a racist but the people that were behind me we could tell your demeanor changed. That is ok your food sucks and you served me old food and you deserved the review you received because it IS 100% TRUE. Your bias is screaming at this point and you should be embarrassed but you live this way and probably think it's ok. No worries you reap what you sow. I spent 80 bucks here for my sons and I and was highly disappointed the portion size is super small the Mac and cheese was disgusting and so was the collard greens they literally went in the trash the brisket was salty and dry. The best part of the meal were the ribs and the potato salad it was different and a bit spicy. I don’t recommend for the price you are paying

Such a good place to have lunch. Went with my coworkers and we were all stunned by the quality and service. Mac and cheese is rich and creamy, the brisket sandwich gets the fat cut off and then weighed before it’s served. This place is awesome and quick. 10/10

True Texas bbq… Pictured below is an undercooked, cheaper end of briskets, that wants to be cooked more. A business tip: passion from the owner for whatever venture they’ve poured their money into can shine into your customer base if you can take a note from Myron Mixon. Just disappointed to cough up for a restaurant that lacks heart in the meals they’re serving out. For the sake of the company, I truly hope that the next batch of brisket has the easiest pull and purplest smoke ring. Good luck! I have eaten here several times before I decided to leave a proper review. All my visits the star of the show is the potato salad (honestly flavor profile is everything). But for the other time the pulled pork was always dry And lacks seasoning or just a flavor of what a moist pulled pork should be. Also the mac and cheese is up for debate, good but not great. The brisket is what I think all Bbq enthusiast would look forward to but it fell short in the selection given and flavor. Sometimes moist sometimes dry but still missing the flavor. Corn bread was wrapped so tight I thought the coast guard would be looking for it… tasted more like a cake than a cornbread. Still believe in this spot and will give it one more try. Banna bread pudding is great. A touch of sweet but light on the banana.

I love this place. We drive all the way from Miami just to eat here. It’s super clean the staff is friendly. The food is amazing. I really recommend coming here. You won’t be disappointed

B&D Trap BBQ is absolutely phenomenal! We had the brisket sandwich and the pulled pork sandwich, and they were both packed with flavor and perfectly tender. The BBQ smells were out of this world and hit you the moment you walk in—it just makes your mouth water! The service was friendly and quick, which made the whole experience even better. If you’re looking for authentic BBQ that hits the spot, this is it. We’ll definitely be coming back for more!

Amazinggggg! Had the ribs, brisket and the turkey wrap and everything was amazing! Oh and the baked beans.... fire!

Possibly the best bbq in Broward. Fantastic pulled pork with geeens on the side. It's well worth the extra stairmastet minutes for the cholesterol. The service is fantastic too: very friendly service feels like having dinner in a friend's house. The ambience and food fit with that vibe too: it feels like a good friend's grandmother's house, complete with a grandma who's an amazing cook. I loved this place all around...

Clean nice building. Parking spots in lot. Picnic tables outside for ample seating with fans and tv. Delicious brisket and wings.

Decent bbq, nothing to write home about. Well seasoned. Prices are reasonable as well.

I just left from having lunch at the newly opened Texas-style BBQ joint B&D Trap in Fort Lauderdale. One word sums it up: PHENOMENAL. I went with a friend and we shared the #7 combo which consists of: * 1/4 lb. Brisket * 1/4 Rack Ribs * 1/2 Chicken * Cheddar Sausage * 2 Regular Sides * 2 Soft Drinks The cost was $45 and worth every penny. For sides we got the Mac & Cheese + Baked Beans. Our only complaint with the entire meal was that the beans were not traditional barbecue baked beans, and were rather their own take on baked beans with pinto and kidney beans mixed in there. They weren't great and I'd never get them again, but the mac & cheese was incredible and I'll substitute a different second side next time. We also shared a delicious bread pudding for dessert. My advice would be to not go here alone and to make sure you go with at least one other person. Reason being that the #7 combo is the only one on the menu that offers multiple meats to sample, and it's way too much food for one person unless you plan on bringing half of it home. Otherwise, if you go there by yourself you'll be faced with a very difficult decision on which of their many delicious meats to choose from for your meal. I'll definitely be back soon.

This place is amazing! Everything I tasted was delicious, and the service was really good as well. The ambiance of this place is very casual, and cool. I recommend 100%

Amazing BBQ!! Great ambiance. Very attentive and sweet service! my favorite was the pulled pork sandwich with mac and cheese. Turkey wrap was a great healthy choice as well. So much flavor! Oh and their own draft beer is refreshing for these hot summer days!! Definitely recommend.

Ribs had blood coming out of them. So disgusting and disappointed the potato salad was spicy not sure why?? Being from Texas I am a BBQ snob and this by far was nothing OF TEXAS BBQ..same on you!! Brisket was so tough couldn't even chew it. Waste of $75!! Never again. Please cook your meat people, come on mannn

Ordered delivery via uber eats and surprisingly it was still hot. I ordered the pick two combo with brisket and smoked turkey. For my side I picked the mac and cheese which was honestly one of the better mac and cheeses ive had at a bbq place- so much flavor. The brisket and turkey were really good. I loved their bbq sauce - not too sweet. I ordered a side of the cornbread which was fluffy like a cake and a little sweet- also really good. Def enough food for two meals for me. Definitely check them out.

spare ribs were good just i little more fatty than i like which typically is the nature of spare ribs (to be far). Wish they had a baby back rib option and if so i didn't see it. I also got coleslaw which was really good. I heard good things about their pulled pork so ill prob try that next time. The staff was friendly and open to answering any questions i had.

Came here about an hour before closing time so I'll assume that's why some of the pieces were dry. The ribs were nice and flavorful but some parts were really dry and tough the pieces that weren't dry though were really tasty, the brisket was no better and was also a tad bit dry I would definitely come back for the ribs earlier in the day, the potato salad was good too. Staff was nice as well

Probably the best bbq spot I've found in Fort Lauderdale! Me and my friend shared the sampler combo and everything was amazing. The Mac and cheese and the ribs were my favorite. Great service as well.

Heard a lot about this place and fed into the hype. I had big expectations and was mostly pleased. The bad was the baked beans. They were severely undercooked and hard. Should not have been served. The. Brisket was good but very fatty. I enjoyed it. The Mac n cheese was very good. Slightly spicy and creamy. Potato salad good. Chicken wings good. Nice place with good vibe. $18 for a sandwich combo with one side and a drink. I took away a star for undercooked beans . I will give it one more try in the future.

Awesome BBQ! Everything was delicious! We ordered To Go and got the sample platter with brisket, pulled pork, ribs, and chicken. For sides, we had the mac and cheese, potato salad, cornbread, and beans. Even the banana bread pudding was amazing! Would highly recommend!

Looking for good barbecue in downtown Ft. Laudy? B&D Trap BBQ (1551 NW 6th St. off Sistrunk) is the real deal. My buddy and I dug into the brisket sandwiches. Tasty! Cole slaw for me (good!) and potato salad for him (also good). Wasn't nuts about the corn bread (a bit cakey but nbd) tho the bogo beers sealed the deal -- and the meal. Must return for the ribs! This is a great local place and worthy of your patronage. Eat (and drink) local!

I think this place has a lot of potential, just needs a few tweaks to make it really good. I got the #6 combo and payed the extra $3 to upgrade to ribs. This was $21 and for an upcharge i definitely hoped for more than 2 ribs but i understand food costs can be high, etc. Im going to give them the benefit of the doubt as I visited at 7:30 on a sunday night... but the meat could have been much better. The brisket was pretty tender and seasoned well but a tad dry.... The ribs looked great but were really tough. As i mentioned sunday night might not be the best time for barbecue so i give them a break there. Now to the positive: the barbecue sauce is AWESOME. Really well balanced smokey, sweet, tangey, one of the better sauces ive had. The mac and cheese is fantastic, super creamy, definitely the star of the show. I also got the cornbread which was good, and the fries are great if you like the mcdonalds style fries. Overall: this place has potential, i think the 4stars is generous for the food I was served but I think theres potential and maybe just need to keep a closer eye on the quality control as we can all agree that isnt the best looking brisket you have ever seen and the ribs were definitely tough BUT good flavor, well seasoned, great sauce and sides. Also great outdoor patio area! I will give this place another shot in a few weeks to see if my experience is better and will review accordingly!

Five stars for excellent BBQ. I had the pulled pork sandwich and was delighted they used a quality bun and added excellent homemade coleslaw. The sauces are very good and include an Alabama white and a tangy FL sauce. It's take out or outdoors but on a hot summer day when you are already sweaty - the outdoor picnic tables are perfect. Also the prices were right! I paid double for a spot in Miami for the same order. Check it out!

Drove 20 miles because of reviews. Eat in dinning is under a covered patio with picnic style tables. To use the restroom you get a passcode from up front for the door lock. When we were there it was 90 degrees and the wind was blowing thru really hard. 2 in on a Friday around 3 for early dinner. No one there. If you are going to eat in you go inside and order and pay. They give you a beeper, you sit outside until it beeps. ORDERED: Split into 2 trays. 1/2lb Brisket $15 1/2 rack St Louis style ribs $18 1/2lb Pulled Pork $10 Side of BBQ Beans $5 Side of Potato Salad $4 Unfortunately all the meats were barely warm. SOMETHING THAT SHOULD NEVER HAPPEN. Especially when you are NOT BUSY. Long before I finished all was COLD. LOOKS?? Everything looked great. TASTE?? Flat. No real smoke flavor. Needed sauce. NO NEED TO GO BACK!!!

Came here for the first time this evening, and we will definitely be back! First impression was that this pace is new, and extremely clean. We walked up to the counter to order, and were greeted by a very kind woman there. She helped us pick out what to order, and then we waited outside in the picnic table seating area. We were brought our food in a very timely manner, and WOW we were both blown away by how great everything was. The pulled pork sandwich, Mac & cheese, and cornbread were all to die for. Coleslaw was ok- not the best I've never had but also not the worst. Very excited this place is open, and will absolutely be back soon.

I've been to this restaurant over 5 times and each time I would give it another try but today is definitely my last time visiting. To start, the restaurant is located on sistrunk (sketchy area) a nice corner lot with free parking. It's a new location with plenty outdoor seating. The vibe is cool but every time I go, I would be the only one there. Seems like they don't have many customers that visit and I'm sure I know why. Let's start with the quality of the food. It's SAD. It's close to being inedible. I usually get the ribs, brisket, Mac and cheese, fries, coleslaw and cornbread. The ribs are definitely low quality and hard to eat. It's mainly fat with very little meat. The brisket is super fatty and has no flavor. Again low quality meat that has been sitting around for hours. The Mac and cheese are very saucy and no cheese. You're better off eating boxed macaroni. The coleslaw is basic. No effort in making that. This establishment is an embarrassment to bbq. I've had bbq from Nashville, Texas, Carolinas, etc and this restaurant would place last. I don't see this place lasting another year.

I absolutely recommend this place! It r re reminds me of the roadside barbecue places I used to visit in South Georgia when I was younger. Excellent food and service without pretense. The real deal for barbecue!!!!

The worst bbq I have ever had brisket was dry not tender we also got Mac and cheese baby ribs slaw and pulled pork all of which was all PURE SALT UNEATABLE WAS SO GROSS I have never had Mac and cheese be so salty I really can't emphasize how salty everything was we ordered on uber eats dried to get money back it was not cheap came out to 140 dollars we have not gotten a response back DO NOT WAIST UR MONEY I don't know how it has any good reviews but no one in our household could eat any thing the beans where ok but wow so much salt and the saltiest thing we got was the ribs OMG I'm talking eating a brick of salt and they didn't Evan seem like real baby backs looked like st. Louis style ribs cut in half way to much money for what it is Horrible DO NOT EAT HERE

REAL pulled pork sandwich was a good start. It made me realize how many joints are not serving the real thing anymore! The rest of the food was just good - not exceptional. The counter service was prompt and good and the order provided quickly and promptly. The inside is more for ordering and waiting for takeout and not set up for dining except possibly if you are alone. The seating is at picnic tables in an open but covered outdoor area with a couple TV's and lots of fairly loud fans. The outdoor seating is obviously not air conditioned so plan accordingly. As a new place, I think they are still finding their place so I'll definitely need to do an upgrade soon.

Wow! Such great BBQ! Had the pulled pork Sammy and the brisket and turkey combo. Turkey was awesome. Brisket was good as well. Potato salad was terrific. Highly recommend to people looking for some good local BBQ...plus picnic tables and tv!

The food doesn't taste like it used to. The mac and cheese used to be creamy. Now its pasty like they added flour and used less cheese. The brisket used to tender and juicy. Now its dry and tough. The ribs still hit though. But I had to pay three extra dollars to substitute ribs on the two meat combo. And I only got two. I don't know if they changed cooks or what. It will be a while before I give them another try.

Bbq was really good. Brisket was super tender and ribs had great flavor. Mac and cheese side was super creamy. Location had both indoor bar with streetview with about 8 chairs and covered outdoor seating with pick of tables and fans. Would definitely return

Hands down the best pulled pork I've ever had! So juicy and flavorful, I ate it without the sauce! The brisket was decent, and a friend had the ribs, which I could see falling off the bone. As for the ambiance, it's a cute little patio area with picnic tables and benches, which is the perfect place to get together with a few friends. We've already been twice since discovering and will definitely be returning!

Food was good. We ordered takeout and they didn't put any bbq sauce in the bag which left us with dry ribs. Even dry they were still good with decent flavor but a bit tough. The restaurant itself was clean and the staff was nice. I would go back but check for sauce next time.

The place is pretty and looks clean, but the barbecue is a miss. Mac and cheese was the only good thing. Brisket came out cold/room temperature and tasted very bland. They use artificial tea (at a barbecue place???). The cornbread tastes like some weird mix of cornbread and lemon cake. Leaving a 2 because the employee was nice.

incredible barbecue probably the best I've ever had. I usually love sauces and smothering everything I eat in sauce, but this meat was so flavored and so tender it didn't need anything although the sauces they do have taste amazing I definitely recommend 10 out of 10 will definitely be going back when I'm back in Florida

Run do not walk to this bbq joint! My husband and I Ubered tonight because we both had a long day and just wanted something good. Brisket, amazing. Turkey, amazing. Potato salad, Amazing! Corn bread is so moist with a zest of lemon. And do yourself a favor and get the banana bread pudding. So glad we have a good bbq place near us now. Next time we'll be going to the restaurant instead of sitting on our couch saying "yum omg taste this. Omg try this potato salad!" Good job B&D Trap, welcome to the neighborhood.

The best bbq I've ever had. Food is served fast, fresh and hot even when you order togo. Service is impeccable even for first time visitors. 10/10 recommend checking this place out!

food was excellent ! i like supporting local especially when local is great.., my only thing and it wasn't bad the beans had more of a tomatoe paste taste then bbq but they were still great just a little different then expected from others i've tasted. i would definetly comback the service was good quality was good. the two ladies at the counter were good the tall which chick went above and beyond to cater to our table of 7. we well be back

DELICIOUS BRISKET!!! The coleslaw is also yummy! Limited indoor seating but the pic-nic tables are weather proof with fans & they even have 2 tv's!
