Damn. I had a very bad experience here on Saturday morning before the Husky game against Fresno State. I went in with my daughter and purchased the following:
8 Brats
8 Italian Sausages
4 Hot Italian Susages
10 Hebrew National Dogs
10 Regular Hot Dogs
The total was just over $100.
The person helping me was quite rude throughout the process, never smiled, very matter-of-fact. That's fine, even though I was with my daughter.
Then, he says to me that if I am going to come in and place an order this large, I should call in advance to tell them my order. First off, I didn't think the order was that large. Second, I have no idea what I want to buy until I walk in there. Nevertheless, I nicely asked the best way to do that since I don't know what they have in stock. I think I said something along the lines of: "What would be the best way to do that since I don't know what I want or what you have until I get to the store?" His response, in a rude tone, was: "well, you are wiping us out here, we just put all this stuff out for display and now we have to restock."
Completely shocked! There were like 8 people working in the store. I bought maybe 1/8th of the displayed brats and sausages. Yes, I bought all of the displayed Hebrew National dogs. Totally ridiculous service.
Anyway, I have had good experiences in the past here. Prices are a bit high, but I always support my local stores. I will give them another shot, but if this general rude service happens again, I will stop going here and tell others in my neighborhood the same.
I definitely miss A&J's at this point.
