7 Food & Drink Pop-Ups In The Hamptons This Summer - New York - The Infatuation

"While contactless payments have become standard these past few months, it’s been the only way to place an order at Bandit since this coffee shop opened its first location in Midtown last year. And downloading their app is the only way you’ll be able to pick up a cold brew or chocolate croissant at their pop-up in Water Mill this summer." - matt tervooren

Bandit Coffee & Matcha Bar - Review - New York - The Infatuation

"While contactless payments have become standard these past few months, it’s been the only way to place an order at Bandit since this coffee shop opened its first location in Midtown last year. Google
A case where looks can be deceiving. This one hurts a little, because this spot has been one of my go-to breakfast places for a long time. I decided to try their seasonal breakfast chicken “biskey" ($13), and unfortunately, it missed the mark. The chicken was undercooked... that soft, stringy texture I first mistook for the pickles turned out to be the meat itself, and that’s not something you can overlook. The upside? The biscuit was phenomenal. Dark, buttery, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside... exactly the kind of biscuit that keeps me coming back. Every restaurant has an off day, and I’m hoping this was just one of those. I’m not giving up on them but I’ll stick to my regular favorites next time and let this seasonal item pass. 🫤

Google
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The best coffee spot in all of St. Pete! Their breakfast is amazing, and the sourdough is out of this world — it literally melts in your mouth. Everything here tastes fresh, and the vibe is always great. My favorite place to start the day!

Google
Awesome coffee. Bandit’s cold brew is the type that has extra tasting notes and added complexity. There’s some extra umph there in your cup. I also had the chorizo breakfast burrito which, news to no one, is ridiculously good. The red sauce had a ton of extra flavor. The service was 10/10. What a way to wake up.

Google
Great little hipster coffee place. But very busy on a Saturday morning around 8:30 am. The line ran through the store, out the door and down the sidewalk in front of the building. But we waited. Coffee was great. The croughnut we had was alright. Kinda chewy. Staff was nice.

Allison Becker

Google
Good coffee and great food. Nice seating outside. The inside is pretty loud and the line for coffee is very long since they only have one person making drinks at a time. You can order the food to go to skip the line, but unfortunately can’t order coffee ahead. Despite the wait the food and drinks were worth it. I loved that they had multiple vegan food options. I had the vegan breakfast sandwich with egg and sausage, which was delicious, their sauce is very good too. The iced vanilla oat milk latte was good too.

Google
We stopped in to grab coffee on the way out of town. We got lattes and a breakfast sandwich both were great. The staff was friendly and helpful

Google
This place makes me so happy. They have such yummy matcha and I love that it’s a community hub. People working on their laptops, mothers and their kiddos, professionals stealing some time away from work for a caffeine pick-me-up. I always come here as a treat to myself. Love Bandit.

Google
Best coffee in St Pete’s! Top 3 Cortado I’ve ever had

Yelp
This is now my 3rd (maybe 4th?) visit to Bandit, I can confidently say my raving review is long overdue-- and I would say my love for this place has only grown since my first stop over a year ago. Let's start with the menu: there are so many great options and substitutions that you can make the don't sacrifice on flavor (although it may bite into your budget). With that said, portion sizes are great. I have not been disappointed by any of the pastries and their glass box which seemed to be a rotating selection of seasonal sweet treats. I think my favorite thing on the menu might have to be in the chorizo burrito (and I'm not usually much of a poor guy). The chicken Caesar salad burrito is a very close second, and both options are a very delicious and safe from the menu. The chocolate chip cookie is fantastic although I didn't get a chance to try the blueberry fig cake. I'm sure it was delicious. Would definitely recommend anyone passing through Saint Pete and will absolutely be returning for another Sunday brunch in the future.

Yelp
Brunch usually has a line but the food's actually pretty good Sometimes on weekends they have a seasonal fruit ricotta toast that's so pretty to say no to

Yelp
Bandit Coffee Co. is THE breakfast spot in St. Pete. Located in the Grand Central District near downtown St. Petersburg, Bandit Coffee Co. is situated in an electric neighborhood- which makes sense when you consider how dynamic the food and coffee is. I've had Bandit's coffee several times, and the cold brew always delivers. The staff is always so friendly, conversational and funny! Yes, they all have a good sense of humor and aren't afraid to be themselves- which is refreshing. The maple chicken biscuit I got was decadent and juicy. The biscuit was warm, buttery and soft. The maple aioli was sweet and complimented the juicy tenderness of the fried chicken. The pickles were savory and and it all just worked together perfectly. The fries were phenomenal: peppery, salty and crispy. My friend got the Caesar wrap, which was equally as delicious as the maple chicken biscuit- lettuce was fresh and the chicken salad was hearty and tangy. You have to try to house-made sauces. All the sauces we tried really resonated well with the entrees we got. I love Bandit- please don't be scared off by the line (there usually is one- for a reason! I promise you, it's worth the wait)

Yelp
Nice local coffee shop with great service. Can tell it's a chill community space with really good coffee. The vegan sandwich was actually really good. I usually stay away from vegan cheese but the combo on this sandwich made it very tasty. They have delicious cronuts as well. Definitely a must try if in the area!
google avatar

Alexis S.

Yelp
Everyone talks about how great this place is and I was finally able to try it. I got the maple bourbon latte since it's their fall special. It was great! Also their pastries look incredible so I will have to go back and try them. There's seating inside and out and even though there was a bit of a line, it moved quickly and the staff were so friendly.

Yelp
Bandit Coffee Co. is a great local spot in downtown St. Pete. The vibe is lively and it's definitely a popular place, so it can get busy, but the service was solid. We ordered the potato sandwiches, an egg and sausage biscuit, and grits. The grits were a little too buttery for my taste, but everything else hit the spot. The mocha latte was especially good--rich and well-balanced. Overall, a cool neighborhood café with good food, good drinks, and a nice local feel.
google avatar

Yelp
Such a cute and hip coffee shop with great vibes! I love their merch, and the place was buzzing when we stopped by on Sunday. I tried the chorizo burrito subbed with steak while my friend went for the brioche egg sandwich with the hashbrown--both were delicious. Their house-made hot sauce is a must; the Dragon's Fury had more heat than I expected (which I loved). Drink-wise, I kept it simple with an iced americano, while my friend went for the seasonal bouquet latte, which was floral and tasty. Definitely a spot worth checking out if you're looking for great food, coffee, and a cool atmosphere.
google avatar

Yelp
Such cool vibes, great food and coffee. The staff was so cool and even remembered my name after I've been sitting there for like 30 minutes, which was cool since it was my only time there. I'm not a local. I found it on TikTok when I was heading to Saint Pete for the day and it was worth the stop!
google avatar

Phillip B.

Yelp
Service was excellent. The ambience and vibes are great. Plenty of seating and working space. Enjoy the vegan sandwich one of the better ones I've had! Orange juice was great. Would recommend

Yelp
As a St. Pete newcomer, Bandit Coffee was the name I heard over and over when I asked where to grab a nice little drink; the line I encountered when I arrived was evidence enough that this place is a local favorite. Despite being super packed on a Saturday morning, the line moved quickly and the staff were pleasant and efficient, getting me my drink before I had even finished paying and bringing me my food within 15 minutes or so. For my first visit, I tried the Salmon Toast, a surprisingly hearty piece of bread loaded with a cucumbers, salmon, and a creamy sauce. I ordered the Soft Egg on the side thinking it would be a poached egg, but it turned out to be a soft boiled egg (not mad at it!). For coffee I had the Bouquet Latte, which may have been a little too complex for me as I found the syrups to taste muddled together in a way that made me feel like I was drinking flowers (the name should have given that away!). Overall this is a really cool place and I would absolutely be open to going back and trying a few different menu items. It's popular for a reason!

Yelp
The service is always Amazing and I love the vibe of the coffee shop! It's simple, spacious, and very reflective of the city of st Pete! It's a neighborhood feel. I got the vegan breakfast burrito bowl and it was amazing! So hearty and flavorful. The only reason why I gave it 4/5 stars is because I didn't enjoy the seasonal bouquet latte. But all of their other seasonal drinks are amazing.
google avatar

Samantha S.

Yelp
Hands down the best vanilla latte in all of St. Pete! The staff is always so friendly and welcoming, and the service is consistently great. I love the laid-back vibe here, especially being able to sit outside when the weather's nice. Food-wise, I've tried the avo toast and the OG egg and cheese (I sub sourdough and skip the mayo), and both are amazing. Everything tastes super fresh, and you can really tell they use quality ingredients. Also, huge bonus: the vanilla flavoring in the latte is made with all-natural ingredients--and you can taste the difference. Fresh, flavorful, and just so good every time.
google avatar

Taylor H.

Yelp
I totally get the hype. The iced Bouquet Latte feels like drinking a garden in the best possible ways. The food was so tasty and way above traditional coffee shop quality.

Yelp
I've been going to Bandit for so long I'm a regular. It keeps getting better -- with the inevitable downside that on weekends it is TOO popular. The menu is inventive, the food is delicious. The ambiance almost always excellent, thanks to the sophisticated taste of the staff (Sam, Chance et al). The soul of the place is its owners and baristas. Always superb service. Special credit to the managers over the years -- Seth, Ashley, Jay, many others. The latest is Michael, courteous friendly efficient with a sly sense of humor. Any regular, any first-timer, will be treated well and if you have a problem, he will solve it for you. Today I got a mocha, crafted by Hadley.
google avatar

Kristina L.

Yelp
Latte was delicious. Also did a croissant and seasonal cronut with my friend. Line was long but went super fast! Filled to top and actually spilled a bit on saucer trying to get to table.
google avatar

Lauren M.

Yelp
The food was actually really delicious, was not expecting much from a coffee shop but was pleasantly surprised. The service was good, baristas are very knowledgeable. The ambiance was a little bit all over. It was a little bit dirty in there, air vents definitely haven't been cleaned in at least a year. Coffee was good. Would come back for the chorizo burrito!
google avatar

Alan N.

Yelp
Beautiful space. I came here at 9:45am and got my coffee around 10:30. A bit of a wait. I was there for two hours and there was a really long line out the door the whole time. Espresso was good. Bathroom on site. Indoor and outdoor seating. Small lot with handful of space. 1-2 blocks away there are tons of free street parking.
google avatar

Helaina H.

Yelp
Not worth the hype unfortunately. I've been to most coffee shops on central and around St.Pete and Bandit was sadly a let down. We paid $57 for 2 cold brew coffees, yogurt, bfast burrito and a pastry. Then waited 45 minutes for the yogurt and burrito, which were fine. Although the cherry pie pastry was absolutely delicious! Lastly, I should note it was noticeably dirty
google avatar

Yelp
Started coming here again now that I'm back in school and this is my HG study spot! Loud music and always busy from open to close--so if you need a quiet workspace this is not the place for you. They don't mind laptops here and they do not have wifi but that honestly helps me stay locked in. All the employees I've interacted with have been friendly. Food and caffeine options are so yummy and keep me full + focused for marathon study sessions. Expect to wait in line at least 15 minutes if you're not ordering ahead, but it's so worth it, one of the few restaurants in the Central/DTSP area that I recommend.

Yelp
This has been on our list since we moved to town! Walked here with our dog on an early Sunday afternoon, which I'm sure was the busiest time of the week. The interior was very open and bright, and the outside areas were welcoming. We shared a picnic table with another couple since there wasn't as much table space compared to how many customers there were. The line was super long so we decided to get a table outside with our doggie and order pickup at the window. We half and halfed the Spicy Chicken Biscuit and the BLT, and I also got a Maple Bourbon Cold Brew. Took about 15 minutes to come out. The food was absolutely delicious, the aioli in the BLT made a huge different in the sandwich. Added a lot of moisture to the crunchiness of the bacon and bread. The biscuit was also delicious, I wish they offered ranch with it but nonetheless the chicken was perfectly crispy. The coffee was okay, more affordable than most coffee places now which I appreciated. Will definitely be coming back!
google avatar

Chrissy D.

Yelp
Great spot for a high-quality coffee! The line was out the door when we arrived so we had a feeling it would be good. Once we got inside, it was loud and lively with community-type seating. Definitely not a place to do work in, but good for a social scene if you like the hustle and bustle. This would've been the place to try something new with their unique menu, but my cold brew was still fabulous! Definitely glad we stopped by!
google avatar

Julia Y.

Yelp
Best croissants in st pete and their breakfast burritos are 10/10. I don't know what they put in that red sauce that goes with the burrito but that sauce makes the dish. The coffee is standard, nothing crazy there. There's always a long line on the weekends, but try to come during the weekday. This is also a place I would come to get away from the home office for a chill positive change of scenery. Love the outdoor seating option especially when we have our doggo.
google avatar

Michelle W.

Yelp
Cute coffee shop near downtown st Pete! There was a line to the door when we came in, and for good reason. The coffee was good, chicken Caesar wrap was good as well, but the real star was the sausage egg and cheese on a biscuit. Best breakfast sandwich I've had in a while. Sea salt chocolate chip cookie was a great way to end the meal, I'll definitely be back!
google avatar

Haidar H.

Yelp
Dope little spot with some great coffee. I wish we would have eaten there too! The menu looked absolutely fire. There wasn't any wifi and we couldn't sit inside with our puppers (completely understandable), but we're definitely down to check this space out the next time we're in St. Pete's.
google avatar

Carmen T.

Yelp
It was a semi-long wait time but it was soo worth it. I've seen the line out the door most times. I got the turmeric latte decaf which was awesome and then egg bacon and cheese on sour dough was one of the best I've ever had. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating and the service was great! The pastry was also amazing. Definitely a must go to!
google avatar

Dan H.

Yelp
We had seasonal drinks that were amazingly good: cherry coke espresso & the rose seasonal latte. Can't remember the cute names they had! We also had breakfast items that were delicious from the sandwiches to the avocado toast, which is huge. The line was constantly out the door and we were lucky to snag a table but I think it was worth it!
google avatar

Lexy B.

Yelp
10/10 biscuit sandwich. Delicious. I ordered coffee & breakfast to-go through their website. The biscuit part of the sandwich always matters so much to me, and this one didn't disappoint. It's one of those sweeter biscuits, so if that's not your thing, then you may not like it. Service was super quick and sweet- they have a pick-up window specifically for these weekend orders, so it took a whole 30 seconds out of my car to retrieve it. I'm not sure what the interior is like, but this place was recommended to me by manyyyy people that have lived in the area for a while. I loved the coffee, and they made it extra sweet for me per my special notes. They even doodled sweet lil stars on the cups. Made my day. I'll be back soon!
google avatar

Alyssa M.

Yelp
Ohhhh my goodness this mocha was seriously to die for! The chocolate flavor came through perfectly and went really well with the smooth coffee in there. The ambiance is super cute and has a good amount of seating. The cup they serve the drinks in is adorable and you can buy it there as well (I will be going back to buy one soon!) The service was super quick and they get your coffee to you almost immediately. Expect to wait in a line to order, but it moves pretty quickly. I will definitely be coming back and I see why this place is so popular!
google avatar

Carling L.

Yelp
Everything is amazing. Tried something new, did a breakfast sandwich on sourdough w sausage egg and cheese. Delicious!!!! Love a runny egg
google avatar

Breanna K.

Yelp
tried to stop by around 10:30 on a sunday but the line was insane. came back around 1:30 and it was way better!! matcha lemonade was perfectly sweet and yummy!! the egg & cheese was good too but the eggs were kinda wet and falling out of the sandwich, and for $9.50 it's only a half (on sourdough).. everything on the menu seemed expensive but what do you expect? its a cute ass hipster cafe in st pete. good vibes overall if you're into that kinda thing.
google avatar

Melissa E.

Yelp
This is a go to spot to meet up with a friend in the morning! The staff is so friendly and helpful! I also really recommend their breakfast burrito with chorizo so delicious! I definitely prefer their hot coffee I find thir iced drinks to be weak. They do get crowded and I do wish they offered Wi-Fi so I could stay and work!
google avatar

Charlotte B.

Yelp
My favorite coffee shop hands down!! Food and coffee are amazing. Also amazing is their pastries ahhhh I can't get enough of them. Especially their seasonal items. This coffee shop is busy for good reason and totally worth the visit. The staff is super efficient and friendly and can handle the long lines with ease. This is my to go coffee shop for amazing coffee, food and ambiance. I will be back soon.
google avatar

Val R.

Yelp
Service and food was phenomenal. Latte was served hot. Which is sometimes a rare occurrence as it's served warm in many coffee shops. The sourdough bread and food was delicious. We are on vacation and came back the very next day. Highly recommend
google avatar

Stacy S.

Yelp
Such a great place! Luckily, we got a table outside with shade to enjoy our breakfast burritos and ice tea. I love that they made our ice tea fresh. The burritos were good. Meat for him, vegan for me. I didn't love the extra tomatoey sauce in the vegan one. It was too much, and it was not easy to take out. The croissant we tried was delicious.
google avatar

Allie S.

Yelp
Good coffee and great food. Nice seating outside. The inside is pretty loud and the line for coffee is very long since they only have one person making drinks at a time. You can order the food to go to skip the line, but unfortunately can't order coffee ahead. Despite the wait the food and drinks were worth it. I loved that they had multiple vegan food options. I had the vegan breakfast sandwich with egg and sausage, which was delicious, their sauce is very good too. The iced vanilla oat milk latte was good too.
google avatar

Yelp
The ambience is great, with friendly staff and a prime location, both inside and outdoors. The vegan burrito was delicious, and the matcha was equally tasty. I would recommend this place!
google avatar

Lauren M.

Yelp
- chocolate chip cookie: 9/10 - matcha: 6/10 amazing cookie! great gooey and chewy texture! had another flavor in it also, we first thought it was pumpkin but now i'm pretty sure it was a ginger snap molasses flavor. it was really good!! all their pastries and food look amazing. their coffee isn't my favorite but i will 100% be back anyways for the food. no wifi here super easy parking in this area. free 2 hour street parking and they have their own parking lot at the coffee shop. individual bathroom here also.
google avatar

Emma P.

Yelp
maybe just maybe the best breakfast burrito I've had in awhile. The sauce 10/10 I got the mild, maybe could go for the hot though. So filling, could only eat half. So be very hungry and be prepared for left overs. It had chorizo in it and was cooked to perfection with the eggs as well. I wish I brought my left overs on the plan but it would've been to messy. I grabbed a hot chai to go with. It's not sweetened chai so they told me that and then recommend vanilla, honey or simple syrup. I went with vanilla and whole milk and it was Devine. Not too spicy not too sweet. It was a little chilly out so it was a nice warmth for the cold day. We sat at the window bar seats and it was very pleasant. I would say though that they have a lot of seating inside but it's more of community table style so be prepared for that. They do have a lot of outdoor seating but it had been raining so it was a little wet still. Can't wait to be back in st Pete to have this combo again.
google avatar

Alex H.

Yelp
I live on the same block as this locally owned and well know coffee spot. On weekends, there is a line out the door and almost to my house. It isn't just because of their seasonal coffee menu, amazing rotating pastries, or small but unique breakfast options. The community was already in love with bandit but we fell head over heals about them during the cat 5 hurricane last October. When the communities' power was out, and there wasn't gas for miles, those of us wondering around the block found bandit, handing out hot meals to the community when we had no way of cooking for ourselves. There were even vegan options. The way their employees came together to give out free food from their failing freezer is honestly heart wrenching. The owners and employees had bright smiles and were a true beacon of light in one of the cities darkest moments. Thank you bandit!

Yelp
Really cute coffee shop in St. Pete! I don't go to St. Pete often but was super excited to stop by this coffee shop because I hear so much about it. I just got a cold brew with almond milk, but I regret not getting food (was planning on getting lunch so was saving my appetite lol)! I did some work on my computer and met a couple people that I was sitting next to. Everyone was really friendly and the vibes were great!
google avatar

Robin L.

Yelp
I ordered to go but the few minutes I was there the service was great! Someone came right away to wipe down my area and I noticed he was going around collecting dishes from tables. The coffee was average, but my chorizo burrito and salsa were honestly pretty good for a coffee shop! They had loud music playing so I wouldn't visit if you're planning on getting work done. Another down side was that there's very limited parking and I was told it gets pretty crowded at times so be prepared to walk a bit if you come at a popular hour. Aside from that it had a cool vibe and good food so I'd definitely come back!
google avatar

Julia P.

Yelp
The cold brew I had was very good. I also ordered the egg and cheese sandwich with bacon. The bacon was too salty which I loved but surprisingly the eggs were. The sandwich was delicious though and it's always busy it seems so it's hard to find parking sometimes. Clean establishment and very welcoming
google avatar

Mara M.

Yelp
Honestly thought it was just ok and didn't necessarily get the big hype. There's no wifi and the music was really intense and loud jazz, drums, horns and yelling on what felt like an endless loop. Everyone around me was also yelling. I came to work on some things and really couldn't focus at all here. I get the feeling this is more of a food/meeting up spot than a cafe to study/work/chill. I didn't feel like the coffee was anything super special either. I'd come back to try this as a lunch spot instead of a coffee shop.
google avatar

Samantha C.

Yelp
Had really high hopes for this coffee place since a lot of people recommend it, however it was a bust for me. For my drink, I ordered the MASALA CHAI LATTE and despite ordering it sweetened, it was straight up bland and tasted watered down. Will never again order seasonal lattes here, but I'm willing to come back to dry their regular coffee. For my pastry, I went with the COOKIE BUTTER + JAM SHORTBREAD. It was perfectly crumbly but unfortunately, this too was bland. The shortbread cookie wasn't sweet at all and really, just lacked flavor. Thankfully the little dollop of jam topped it or else it would have been tossed. Definitely won't rush to be back here, but I'm not ruling it out completely.
google avatar

Kalani G.

Yelp
Super cute shop that came highly recommended. Came here for coffee and stayed for breakfast and baked goods. Super friendly service. Enjoyed my breakfast sandwich but the soft scrambled eggs got to me after a while, still delish. My wife loved her scone. Great coffee and great vibes.
google avatar

Amber S.

Yelp
Great ambience, good coffee/matcha, and I love their breakfast burrito. Sometimes gets busy

Yelp
So I didn't visit Bandit Coffee, well, sort of. There's an amazing, tiny little place at the back of Bandit called Smallbar. But I couldn't find them on Yelp. My friend saw their posting on Instagram and thought it would be worthwhile to check them out. I admit I had to circle the place multiple times to realize where Smallbar actually was. The door wasn't well lit, but thankfully had a sign that says enter here. There are six stools at the bar and three tables, such a cozy, comfy place to have a glass of wine. They are opening up a full restaurant/bar a few blocks east, hopefully soon, but in the meantime, I will continue to enjoy evenings at their current location. They have a small but enjoyable selection of wines. I started off the evening with a Sauvignon Blanc, and then the other glass I had, I can't remember, had a nice hint of orange. They also have small plates. We ordered the glass noodles and hot Cheetos chicken. Both were really flavorful. The owners are super personable and make the experience even that more enjoyable. I hate to write a post because now people are going to go out of their way and try it and there won't be any space left for me.
google avatar

Megan W.

Yelp
We went because they had vegan breakfast options which was nice and the vegan breakfast burrito was very tasty. The coffee was excellent. The lines get long though and there is quite a wait because of this but it's nice to sit outside while you wait.
google avatar

Tom C.

Yelp
They open at 7:30 and by the time I got there at 8 there were about seven people ahead of me ready to order. But the staff behind the counter were professional, right on top of each order and willing to help anyone with questions (like me). Every customer, after ordering and paying, receives a colored number on a stand which you place where you sit. My order, passion fruit kombucha (on tap!), a gingerbread croissant and a Snack Parfait consisting of vanilla bean yogurt, granola (house blend), seasonal jam and sea salt took only about five minutes to get to my table. There was more to the croissant than I had anticipated and I had fun eating it, taking as many crumbs along with the moist and flavorful croissant as I could. It was topped off with a sprig of rosemary for appearance but, already a fan of the herb, I gladly ate it. The presence of the ginger wasn't at all strong as you'd find in ginger root because it was expertly balanced with confectioner's sugar. The blend of yogurt, granola and jam seemed made for each other, an epicurean ménage-a-trois if you will with the salt subdued in its presence. Blending passion fruit juice with oolong tea in a kombucha is a great idea as the combination flows very smoothly down your throat with an added freshness to its very nature. I highly recommend this place for a light breakfast and as a way to spend a quiet time on your computer. They are also open for lunch and have a great selection of beer, wine, coffee and tea.
