16 San Francisco Restaurants Serving Solid Breakfasts Every Day the Week

"This neighborhood favorite is tucked beneath an unlikely nail salon sign and down the way from Liholiho Yacht Club. But people fell so in love with the breakfast sandwiches — including the eponymous Bandit featuring Muenster cheese and thick-cut bacon — that the shop opened a second location on 18th and Dolores Street in 2023." - Lauren Saria, Dianne de Guzman, Paolo Bicchieri

11 Outstanding Breakfast Sandwiches in San Francisco

"Where better to go for a breakfast sandwich than a breakfast sandwich specialist? This Tenderloin burger joint has a whole menu of breakfast sandwiches, and they’re available all day. Connoisseurs may want to eat their way through the entire list, but it’s hard to go wrong with the gut-busting Brekkie, which features scrambled eggs, a pork sausage patty, cheddar, smashed tater tots, caramelized onions, and jalapeño relish on a brioche bun. Still hungry? Get a side of unsmashed tots for good measure." - Paolo Bicchieri, Luke Tsai, Eater Staff

Best Dishes Eater Editors Ate Last Week in the San Francisco Bay Area - Eater SF

"I was stuck at home for a good chunk of last week, essentially transported back in time to those early pandemic days when your dining options come down to two things: delivery or whatever myriad groceries you happen to have on hand. Lucky for me, there’s no shortage of excellent delivery options in San Francisco (don’t forget to tip your drivers!) including Bandit, the Tenderloin breakfast sandwich specialist. So midway through my isolation and extremely sick of cooking my own food, I had the supreme pleasure of starting another day at home with the Petty Cash, a platonic ideal of a breakfast sandwich starring a chive-flecked scrambled egg patty — tender, neither over- nor under-cooked — and a melted slice of cheddar cheese on a smooshy brioche bun. And in a feat of food delivery prowess, the tots even arrived hot and crispy." - Eater Staff

Phenomenal burgers are available here. If you want to bite into a burger that isn't gigantic, has fresh toppings and a juicy patty between soft, nice-looking buns, this is the place for you. I had the Bad Mofo burger without pickles and it was perfect. There was fresh lettuce, a nice fresh slice of tomato, and crispy bacon along with the patty. I also had a drink, but I don't remember what it was. Overall, the food was really good, and the service was too. It was pretty plain inside, except for the cars. It's a simple-looking restaurant with burgers that are simply wonderful. There isn't much seating, but Union Square isn't that far away.

Google
Nice food and atmosphere. Could have been a little spicy. We tried two sandwich broke and fancy. Also had some tots on the side. The orange cream soda was not that great. Orange juice was not as fresh as expected.

Teck Boon

Google
Even though it’s stated as a takeaway place, there is a few seats inside should you choose to have your burger there. Staff are helpful and the burgers are freshly prepared upon ordering. The focus is more on the freshness of the ingredients and not so much on sauces that’ll end up overpowering everything else in the burger.

Google
Fun little breakfast sandwich shop, love the atmosphere and very friendly staff! I went for the Broke Millionaire, good overall for sure but I'll admit the leading flavor was the sausage patty and I was hoping all of the other elements would've not been buried by that.

Shelby Sterne

Google
The breakfast sandwiches were delicious and the butteriest brioche practically melts in your mouth! Eggs were fluffy and cheese was perfectly gooey. The staff is so friendly and supports other local businesses, recommended the spot next door for coffee. We’ll have to come back for the burger!

Google
The dirty deed is incredible. They don't skimp out on the toppings. So much cheese and bacon. It's a meal on its own. I also got the hot mess sandwich and it was delicious. The people here are also super friendly.

Google
After enjoying my first burger here, I can easily say this is my new favorite spot to get a burger in the city. The taste was perfect, the kitchen cooked it exactly the way I asked, and the presentation was impressive (see photo). Parking in the area sucks, so if you’re ordering take-out, I recommend being extra cautious with eating their burgers in the car. It’s insanely juicy (only after you bite into it) and you’re going to regret not bringing your bathing suit. I’m a huge foodie, but I rarely post good reviews unless it’s truly impressive…my bad, don’t hate. Bravo Bandit 👏

Google
I have been wanting to check out this little burger joint for a while and when I finally did, it did not disappoint. I had the Brekkie for breakfast and enjoyed this little monster. It looks small but well stacked with scrambled egg, pork patty, cheese and tater tots. Because it's technically a burger, it's heavier (greasier) than the usual "breakfast sandwiches", but definitely more satisfying too. Service was friendly. No outdoor seatings (but to be honest, you may not want to sit outside and eat on Geary anyway).

Yelp
Solid breakfast sandwiches and tater tots!! Food held up extremely well for takeout! Typically takeout food gets steamy and the condensation ruins the crispness but not at Bandit! Buns on the breakfast sandwich was not soggy and the tater tots taste like they were just out of the fryer. It was pretty difficult settling for only one sandwich but I really like the components of the Fancy and added a chicken sausage. Tater tots were so good, would come back for the tater tots alone! Skip the dirty bandit (horchata + cold brew). It was not my style. I love horchata and cold brew separately but it's definitely an acquired taste when combined. It needed ice but it looks like it was prefilled into the cups at the start of the day. Small joint with limited seating. I appreciate how convenient it is to get to. Not the best parking situation but if you don't live nearby, their food (can only speak on their breakfast sandwiches and tater tots) hold up well for delivery.

Yelp
Me and my boyfriend were in SF and were craving some breakfast sandwiches. We stumbled upon the Bandit on Yelp and ordered online. I highly recommend ordering online to avoid any wait! We both ordered the bandit and enjoyed it. If you've ever had Eggslut, this is better in my opinion! I'll definitely be back to try the others.

Yelp
The perfect breakfast treat! Got the bandit as is and devoured every bite. Simple and hearty. Their location is tiny but perfect to grab and go. Not a long wait and fantastic customer service by Cassandra. Be sure to get their aioli sauce as well!

Yelp
This is probably the best bang for buck bfast sandwich bc it's almost a full meal (like a burger size). The brioche bread is sweet and fluffy. My partner and I tried two different bfast sandwiches and they were both good but missed an oomf to the food. But I think it's based on the food we ordered. We got: 1. The fancy- I realized I wanted some kind of meat in mine after a few bites so that was a user error 2. The breakkie- my partner realized we wanted some avocado in it. All that to say, we'd come again but would order ones with avocado and meat!

Yelp
Had food catered here for an event. Tried their wingman and tater tots. Tater tots were solid: crispy in the outside and chewy on the inside. Wingman: Essentially a fried chicken sandwich. The chicken was a bit dry, which was a bit disappointing and I wished the brioche bun was less dense. I did appreciate the wasabi slaw that added another element to the flavors.

Yelp
Bandit is a tiny little spot packing big flavor inside. They make very high level breakfast sandwiches and hamburgers. Nothing you can complain about when it comes to the way everything tastes and comes together. But let's be real. The prices and the size of the burger you get don't quite add up. That's my biggest gripe. Bandit is really making out like bandits with these little burgers at these prices. It's something like a size of a burger in between a slider and a normal sized burger. I'll level with you though, pretty good fricken food. (4.6 Stars)

Yelp
My friend and neighbor recommended Bandit for their breakfast sandwiches so we came here one weekday. It was pretty busy around lunchtime, but service was friendly and we got our orders to-go quickly. I liked my Hot Mess sandwich and Dirty bandit Cold Brew Coffee Over Horchata. The bread bun was delicious--very sweet and it complemented the egg very nicely. There's not much seating indoors, so you can take it to Union Square or Huntington Park to eat outside!

Yelp
The wife and I were in the City. We were looking for a breakfast spot. I was craving a breakfast sandwich or a breakfast burrito. We narrowed it down to Bandit and Heist. Both looked very appealing from their food photos on Yelp. And guess what! Bandit and Heist are sister restaurants! They're owned by the same owner. So funny!! Well, enough of that. More about Bandit. Bandit has a very small counter area. It can fit about 5 people. It's really more of a take-out spot. Their menu online don't match the menu in store. For example, online doesn't have the Broke Millionaire listed, but it's on the menu at the restaurant. We got the Broke Millionaire, the Brekkie, and the Dirty Deeds. They all looked and smelled really good! I was very excited to eat it. My excitement quickly died down after 2 bites. The first bite was a hmm... let me eat a little deeper and get fully engulf in the sandwich. The second bite confirmed it all, that the meat just wasn't good. I liked their sauce, I liked the buttery buns, the egg mixture was very very flavorful and well cooked. However, the breakfast patties tasted like unseasoned ground beef. Twas' a very lackluster center to such an amazing exterior. Again, everything except for the meat tasted good. Great eggs, sauce, buns + tasteless groundbeef = 3 stars.

Yelp
I ordered for my office, through uber eats but review is based on product and packaging. Really well packed in biodegradable materials. All food was labeled to reflect the name of the order whose it was! 10/10 this was so well done and the penmanship was beautiful! Food review: Broke Millionaire sandwich. Portions are significant, but there are some technical moments that can be tweaked or improved. Pork sausage-patty was dry and tasted sweet. I was definitely not expecting to get a sweet pork sausage patty and that really threw me off. The bacon and tater tots helped offset the sweetness a bit, but the bacon tater tot to sausage ratio is off. I would have prefer less of the sausage to balance out the flavors because right now this Sanwhich is overwhelmingly sweet. Also toasting the buna bit may help improve texture. It is a huge sandwich, and if you like savory over sweet, this is probably not your best option. Tater tots were delicious! And that bacon was thick crispy and delicious! Service and packaging was awesome, definitely recommend for office breakfast on order neatness. If you like savory have some good sauce at hand, this sandwich will need it!

Yelp
So I came back over four years later I was driving by having seen it and wanted to stop again, but just never had the time just to grab a quick sandwich. The Mocho sandwich with bacon and Kobe beef is amazing, but the chicken sandwich is remarkable and totally worth it. The portions are huge. The quality of the proteins are extremely high, as are the greens and rather use. Glad they opened up another shop and hoping that they open one up in the East Bay sometime soon. Great burger joint sandwiches and also they have amazing breakfast sandwiches chicken waffle sandwiches and things like that.

Yelp
After a night out, I was craving a delicious breakfast sandwich. I had seen photos of Bandit's and knew one day I'd visit, and Saturday I finally got to try it. I decided to go with the 'Broke Millionaire' which has scrambled eggs, chives, caramelized onions, cheddar cheese, smashed tots, house made pork sausage patty, bacon, avocado and their signature Bandit aioli. It was the most expensive breakfast sandwich on the menu, which is only $10.95. Honestly great price considering everything you get in one sandwich. Add a side of tator tots, and you are looking at solid breakfast meal for under $20 after tax and tip. Taste-wise, I thought it was cool. The house made pork sausage patty was delicious, then you add the bacon and avocado, it's an artery clogger that I had no problem finishing. The scrambled eggs were overdone, a bit dry and could've used a bit more of salt. The brioche bun, in general, is not my favorite type of bun, too much bread for the most part. I think it needed more of a toast because the inside of the bun. I ended up adding more mayo because the sandwich was dry. Still tasty, but there is room for improvement. Definitely will be back because I see they have some burgers on their menu and I'm a burger lover and on a mission to try them all! If you order off caviar, the prices are going to be slightly higher. So if the plan is to pickup, call in your order or place it in-person. The shop itself is more geared towards takeout, but they do have a bar/high top where you can stand and eat there, I ended up grabbing it to-go. The trip home and the tator tots stayed crispy and crunchy which is always nice. Be sure to grab a side of their aioli because it's a great dipper sauce.

Yelp
I love a breakfast sandwich and the Bandit breakfast sandwich was the perfect way to start our morning. My husband and I stopped here during our trip to SF after researching good breakfast sandwiches in the city. It's a small place with only a few spots to sit, but it wasn't busy when we ordered and our food was done within 10 minutes so we ate inside. We both ordered the Bandit breakfast sandwich and loved it! It's a good sized sandwich and has delicious flavor. The staff were kind and it was quick service. Although the space is small, it's cute inside! I wanted coffee and they didn't have any, but directed us right next door to the cafe to grab a drink while our food was being prepared. Definitely worth a stop for a delicious meal!

Yelp
dry.* (visited september 2023) *fine print near the bottom of the menu: "all burgers cooked medium unless otherwise specified", so this review will be based on the meats' 'medium' doneness. my party of two went on a weekend around noon and it wasn't really that busy i'd say probs one person ahead of us. wait time was relatively reasonable. i didn't realize how tiny the space was but something to keep in mind for folks who have larger parties. service: as our first times, i directly informed them about that and needing recs. they could be friendly-er but they did give us recs, so service was just ok. HOWEVER, they never mentioned the "all burgers cooked medium unless otherwise specified"/ default meat 'medium' cookness, which led me to being so disappointed in this place's food. if y'all see this: i hope that in the future, you could just ask everyone how well the peeps would like their meat cooked, or make it bigger on the menu. cus to me, the menu is so overwhelming with words and tiny text. and the tinyyyy fine print for "all burgers cooked medium unless otherwise specified." is located not even at the verrrry bottom but it's wedged and undetected between other words. my bad on me for not catching it but i'd say there can be improvements from their end tbh. the goods for the foods: -the fries, Dirty Deed Fries were a bANGER and i highly recommend them. the sauce is good and very filling, id ask for more cheese but still good. -egg LOOKED fluffy. but was actually kinda not as fluffy as i'd like. -buns were ok?.. oop. the bads for the foods: -both sandwiches lacked sauce, thus the sandwiches was just dry dry dry. -the chicken for the chicken sandwich was soooo dry, not crunchy, and not well seasoned/ flavored. the beef patty can be made less medium but for chicken? it needs to be cooked right ! but the chicken was such a flop. -the beef patty for the breakfast sandwich was also soooo dry. -bacon in chicken sandwich also very dry *im sorry my companion was so disappointed in this chicken sandwich. -both lacked flavor. it needed the sauce to spice up the flavor cus all you taste is the ingredients in not the best form. i tried eating it with the fries but i couldn't escape just flavorless blob of mush. -no free water. do i think they'd get mad or decline me from getting a free cup of water? i didn't ask, cus i felt some tension from staff and was afraid to ask. pls lmk if they do offer free water because from what i experience, i'm assuming no and was so parched by the end of this eating experience. they were getting an influx of good press by instagram content creators, which is why i was compelled to go here... hmmm my hypothesis is that MAYBE an exchange of pr for free food? idk, some food for thought. it's just a theory, a food theory..

Yelp
Was really craving a late night burger so decided to order from Bandit since I've heard great things. Ordered via uber eats and got the bad mofo burger as well as their signature fries. The burger was pretty decent but the fries were a bit disappointing since they were super soggy by the time it got to my place. Overall not bad for delivery but will need to go back in person for the real experience.

Yelp
I must say I've never had a breakfast sandwich on a Brioche Bun until my visit to Bandit and I am a huge fan! I tried the Brekkie and literally I was in food heaven for like a good 5 minutes. Something about the combination of homemade sausage patty, cheese, soft fluffy scrambled eggs, bacon, smashed tots all in between the soft brioche bun just melded perfectly together and let's not forget the jalapeño relish (icing to the cake)! It added that extra slight spicy sweetness and flavor to each bite that I took. My husband ordered the Broke Millionaire which he said was one of the Best breakfast sandwich he has ever had. I took a bite out of his and agreed it was good but I really enjoyed the Brekkie a lot more. Their menu not only includes breakfast but extends beyond to burgers. If my trip was extended, my husband and I would have definitely came back to try the burgers!

Yelp
While the breakfast sandwiches here looked amazing in photos, they turned out to be disappointingly dry. On the bright side, service was friendly and I really enjoyed their lavendar latte. I wouldn't return for the sandwiches though.

Yelp
I always enjoy starting my day here when I'm in the neighborhood! The bread buns are phenomenal, the staff is very kind and the varying sandwiches all have their own charm
google avatar

Yelp
I just realized I had a review in drafts. I visited here early last year 2021 and I was absolutely blown away by the uniqueness and deliciousness offered here. I got the brekkie and it's amazing. Cooked beautifully and flavored very well. I'm looking forward to returning you try their burgers. It smells absolutely amazing in here.

Yelp
Me and my hubby were looking for a place that was open on Thanksgiving and luckily our hotel pointed out this spot. I got the harvest burger and hubby got the mofo. We shared a dirty tots. It was so good yall. The dirty tots are meal in itself. It was for. Their sauce is so good and not to spicy for my no heat taste buds. Hubby enjoyed the burger, saying it was very juicy. We give them two thumbs up. Pregnancy approved.
google avatar

Amy L.

Yelp
Good breakfast spot close to hotels that is reasonably priced! The staff is also really friendly! I got the fancy breakfast sandwich. I loved it, because all of the veggies were well seasoned. There was an ample amount of mushrooms and tomatoes, both my faves!! My only criticism is that they used a burger bun for the breakfast sandwich. I know bandit is a burger place, so it makes sense. But I ended up eating my sandwich open-faced because all of the bun was a little too dry (the bun wasn't dry to clarify...just too much bread). Open faced was perfect!
google avatar

Truth N.

Yelp
Maybe I came on an off morning, but I don't understand the hype. I ordered a Bandit breakfast sandwich and it was mediocre at best. The flavor was lackluster and my sandwich had 1 1/2 slices of bacon and a few slices of avocado. The bacon and avocado were strategically placed on the perimeter of my sandwich to make it look full. I gave two stars for the fluffy egg.

Yelp
Let's get dirty Ordered based on recommendation from my roommate but think I could've done better by ordering the Notorious Burger as he said that was excellent while my burger was ok. Dirty Tots were incredible. Overall a good spot for ordering delivery or a quick bite Food: Dirty tots 4.25/5: Awesome dirty tots with cheese, bacon, and grilled onion and sauce in the side. Perfect balance of crispy ness on the tots with the sauce and other toppings. Highly recommend, I would order again from them and just get the tots. Bad Mofo Burger 3/5: The patty was good but even with adding the separate orange sauce (highly recommend) the burger was a little dry and overpowered by the bread. Bacon was a little too tough for my taste. Overall a decent burger but not a showstopper. Ambiance: N/A, ordered through food delivery app. Price: About the median range for burger and sides in the city with a meal for one climbing towards upper $10s, good price for being in the city.

Yelp
For a place that specializes in breakfast sandwiches I was pretty underwhelmed by the breakfast sandwich. For one, the brioche bun is very dry and crumbly - which is exacerbated by the fact that their sandwiches have a very high bun to filling ratio. The scrambled eggs were also not that fluffy - they were quite dense and more like a solidified chunk of egg. Plus I don't think I'm a huge fan of the bandit aioli - I found the sauce too heavy and overwhelmed the flavors of the other ingredients.
google avatar

Breanna N.

Yelp
This place reminded me of Eggslut because of the breakfast sandwiches! I liked how it offered both that and burgers. We ended up ordering some burgers, tater tots, and coffee for lunch. The burgers were pretty greasy and nothing too special. I enjoyed the Dirty Tots!! Crispy tots with cheddar cheese, grilled onions, bacon, and the house made aioli. They were a lot better than the burgers. Lastly, the coffee we got was the The Dirty Bandit, a cold brew over house-made Vegan Horchata. I had high hopes for it but it didn't taste like Horchata. :( The service was good though! We were offered some extra aioli sauce which I recommend adding onto your food. Overall, this place was good but a little expensive. I might come back to try the breakfast sandwich since we weren't able to last time.
google avatar

Val O.

Yelp
Service staff are great as are burgers. I think I would just share that burgers are cooked medium. I noticed a burger I got a couple weeks ago was really pink, more so than one would expect for medium.
google avatar

Whitne Y.

Yelp
I've only ever gotten delivery from them. They not only make a mean burger and tots, fries good. They can read! Asked for x, received x times 2. I rarely like ordering delivery because the food comes subpar. Not bandit. Please don't change. Thank you.
google avatar

Yuetong Z.

Yelp
I love Bandit's large, fresh burgers, great service, and cheery ambience! The house made aioli complements the juicy patties and other burger inclusions perfectly, making Bandit burgers the perfect choice for a quick lunch.
google avatar

Yelp
We tried Bandit via delivery. Haven't dined in person yet. I like their burgers and their humorous food names like Forbidden Greens Salad, Bad Mofo burger, Notorious burger, etc.
google avatar

Rhondi S.

Yelp
Few blocks from our hotel, we wanted breakfast! This place is small, did I say small? Counter seating for perhaps 10 people, so we'll wait. Breakfast sandwiches served with glorious combinations on a fresh brioche bun, hello, yes!! I had the "Fancy" scrambled eggs, chives, Gouda, sautéed creminis, avocado and grilled tomatoes- da bomb! Friends had the bandit, scrambled eggs, bacon, Munster cheese, avocado, yum. 7+ other breakfast egg sandwiches to die for! Served with tots and excellent service. They also have numerous burger combinations m, fish n chips or salads for lunch if you are not here for breakfast! Come here for these amazing breakfast sandwiches!!
google avatar

Karen Z.

Yelp
I have a special place in my heart for a good veggie burger. Fortunately, Bandit did not disappoint! I ordered the Harvest Burger, and was very pleased with it. The vegetarian patty on the Harvest Burger was made in house, and one of my favorite veggie patties that I have tried so far. I thought the toppings complemented it well too - especially the sauce and brioche bun. I also got a side of tater tots, which I was very excited to see on the menu! The portion was large (you could definitely split these with a friend) and was an excellent side to go with the burger. The tots were warm, crispy, and fresh. I will definitely be going back!
google avatar

Wallace V.

Yelp
This was easily hands-down, one of the best breakfast sandwiches I have ever had in my entire life! From the very first bite, my taste bugs went on a vacation to flavorland! Also, the staff was very sweet and accommodating and made sure I understood the menu and asked me if I had any questions! all in all this place gets a 10 out of 10! I will definitely be back!!!

Yelp
Came by here for the first time today with my friends after seeing countless videos about their breakfast sandwich. I'm on a hunt for the best breakfast sandwich in the city and this is a contender! Had the Broke Millionaire and definitely want to come back to try their other items

Yelp
Captain crunch always hits the spot. So glad they brought it over from Heist. Make sure to get some hot sauce.

Yelp
Oh Bandit, how I love thee! Their food is so delicious and very filling. So far I've had both of their fried chicken sandwiches, tater tots, the Fancy breakfast sandwich, and the Brekkie breakfast sandwich. The fried chicken is cooked to perfection: crunchy exterior with moist chicken. I forgot to ask for no onions the first time I ordered one, yet I didn't mind it when I started eating it. Regarding their other chicken sandwich with bacon.. there's a lot going on! I thought the bacon was lost with all the other ingredients, but you can't go wrong with adding bacon anyway. I also ordered tots that time, so I think I was overloading myself with food. The tots were crunchy and fluffy, and I'm glad I ordered them even though I was stuffed with the chicken sandwich. As for the breakfast sandwich, the Fancy was light yet also filling. I loved the grilled tomatoes as it gave it a good smoky flavor. I just had the Brekkie, and it was scrumptious! The house-made pork sausage had a nice texture and it went well with the smashed tots. I also really liked the jalapeño relish! I normally don't eat jalapeños, and there were chunks of it in this sandwich. But I devoured it all. The jalapeño added a good heat, not overpowering. And it complimented their house aioli really well. This has got to be my favorite breakfast sandwich so far. Speaking of their aioli, it's on all of their sandwiches and it really brings the ingredients together. I've also ordered their cold brew horchata. I first had it at their sister restaurant, Slingshot, so I was happy it was available here. I love horchata, so it's a nice sweet treat for the morning. I've heard Slingshot closed, and my coworkers and I are super bummed about that. We loved their breakfast burritos. I hope they make at least one of them available at Bandit. At this time, Bandit takes phone orders and they also do take out. They're also available on GrubHub, but I try to order straight from restaurants. This is a staple for me as a TL resident so I'm definitely coming back.

Yelp
We found this place while waiting in line for another and so glad we did!!! The food is excellent and prepared at the moment. We had the mofo burger and that was delicious and juicy. We ordered a salad to go and it was huge! And delicious as well. The place is small, no tables only a small seat in counter so it's best to order to go. The customer service was very good and friendly.

Yelp
Quarantine brunch takeout. 4 - The Bandit (medium egg, bacon, muenster, avocado, -arugula, +pork party) 4 - The Brekkie (scrambled egg, pork patty, cheddar, smashed tots, caramelized onions, jalapeno relish) Overall, "I'm a fan."

Yelp
Tasty, quick, good service, and reasonably priced! I got the veggie burger and was really happy with it. Patty is house-made and yummy. Cold brew horchata is also very good!

Yelp
Huge breakfast sandwich. The bacon was amazing. I am not the biggest fan of brioche buns for breakfast sandwiches, but other than that personal preference the sandwich was amazing. The aioli had a great kick. There is only a little bit of seating, so prepare to take to go unless you go at an off time. The workers were also very friendly!
google avatar

Kelsey R.

Yelp
So so good! This sandwich was hot, fresh and melty (the cheese pull was amazing). Loved that it was the perfect medium size- not some ginormous sandwich, but definitely filling. Overall very delicious. My friend got the Deviant Breakfast sandwich and also thought it was excellent! Small spot with just a few chairs to sit inside.

Yelp
Solid food at a great price. The staff treated me well, great service. It lives up to the hype. I had an egg sandwich and tator tots. I've had the fries before and they were spectacular. Can't wait to try the burgers.

Yelp
Great burgers. Decided on walking there last minute and was immediately warmly greeted. While place is small for dining in, the food was out fast and cooked perfectly. I was starving going in and left satisfied with just a burger.

Yelp
We picked up breakfast from here multiple times on my visit to San Francisco. They have probably my favorite breakfast sandwich at a reasonable price for being so close to Union Square. I had the Petty Cash Sandwich, which has scrambled eggs, tillamook cheddar, and chives on a brioche bun. It's a decent sized sandwich and the brioche bun tasted amazing! Paired with the crispy tater tots it was a delicious breakfast. You can see them making the sandwiches fresh in the kitchen from the ordering/pick up area. They offer pickup through a 3P app and each time we ordered the pickup times were pretty accurate.

Yelp
First time eating at this this place. I had good juicy and tasty home made like hamburger and a green salad. I am coming back to this little spot. Prompt, great friendly service.

Yelp
The tater tots here are amazing; I only ever get them via delivery and they hold up and are crispy and awesome every time. I keep on ordering for the tots.... that said... Burgers show up burnt to a crisp every time. No idea why. Every now and then I crave their tots so much I convince myself that they won't burn the burgers this time.... so far no such luck, and I've probably given it 8-10 chances.

Yelp
Came across this spot while getting coffee next door. Flavors were great and portions are good but the only thing I would complain about is the bread. The bread was stale!! The area isn't great either since it's in tenderloin area.

Yelp
This is a very small place - most definitely get your food to go even though they do have a couple of spots available to sit inside by the window which could make for interesting people watching depending on what time of the day you end up here. Our order came out fresh and hot. I had my hamburger with mushrooms and onions. If I am back in the area and have a hankering for a burger I am definitely going to go back to Bandit. The tater tots, however, are a different story. They were crispy and had a perfect bite to them but oh my god you could taste that they had been fried in old oil. You know the type of oil that should not be reused. I seldom let my food go to waste, especially when it's a fried - king of crops - starchy potato. If the tater tots tasted good, this place would have been a solid five!

Yelp
Heard about this place, and I am always looking for a good hamburger, so went with a friend to see what's going on. They are located on Geary among many restaurants and hotels, pretty nice area of the Tenderloin. Walking it was easy enough to find, but they have a very small sign, so keep your eyes open! It's small inside, with seating for maybe 6, but it seemed like most people were getting orders to go. I initially thought I would try one of the hamburgers, every one looked good, but I saw they had fish and chips, so ordered that. I prepared myself for disappointment; most places don't do a good job with those. I was very pleasantly surprised by my food, it might be the best fish and chips I have had in San Francisco! Came with ketchup, malt vinegar, tarter sauce, and a chipotle dipping sauce! Nice! The fish was very good and I would go back there the next time I want fish and chips. My only complaint is that I want to go back again soon and try those burgers, but I might be stuck on the fish and chips!

Yelp
Delicious! Had a burger, chicken sandwich, and breakfast sandwich and everyone enjoyed! Customer service was great, the lady who helped us was super nice and friendly. While there is only 5 stools inside, if you can get a seat to eat it's really nice (they have classic 2000's pop playing). :)
