Bandit Taco

First and last time here... adobo chicken bow was the most blendish and over disgusting food I had eaten. I couldn't even finish my bowl. After a few bites I was done. Never coming back and super nauseating.

The adobo chicken was a bit dry and bland, but the skirt beef and cartinas were great! Taco Tuesday is highly recommended, where you can get some items for only $2.5 each. Monday's special is bowl and Wednesday's special is burrito, which I look forward to trying in the future!

Delicious tacos at a decent price! I tried the steak and chicken tinga tacos, chips & salsa, and homemade plantains. First, let me tell you, I hate fresh tomatoes. I have avoided them religiously for years. If it accidentally comes on my food, I pick it off and go about my business. They came out with a cup of salsa that looked like cut up fresh tomatoes, red onions, and cilantro. At first, I didn't touch it. In an object lesson for my son, I told him just because I don't like some things, doesn't mean he can't try new things. I offered to show him that we can all try things together, and let. me. tell. you. WHAT. The flavors that exploded on my taste buds were PHENOMENAL! It did not taste like tomatoes! My husband said, "I have never seen you eat tomatoes our entire relationship (15 years)." So if a simple salsa can blow your mind, imagine what the tacos did?

This place is so special and clean! The customer service is excellent from the moment you walk in they make you feel welcomed. The cashiers are very kind and do a really great job. Also, the food taste is great and fresh. Definitely coming back again!

My fish tacos were great. The second time they could have been fried a bit longer but otherwise it was good. The plantains as well. Food was fresh and hot when I picked it up.

Went in since they have deals throughout the week, Monday they have a 8 dollar burrito, Tuesday they have discounted tacos and Wednesday they have 9 dollar quesadillas. Had the Barbacoa quesadillas and it was crispy not too oily and had a lot of cheese and meat on it. There green mild sauce is also a must have and matches the quesadillas perfectly. Overall the staff are very friendly always having a smile and were quick and delivered the food to my table. Felt the exact same vibe as their restaurant in DC. Best barbacoa I’ve had hands down.

I stop by here frequently for lunch and dinner. The staff is always friendly and fun, Maggie, Lourdes and Jonathan are so helpful and knowledgeable! I love the tacos and tortas, so delicious and at a good price! The restaurant is always clean, even in the middle of prepping a catering order, wow! Definitely recommend the street corn and tres leches too!

Ordered the fish and carnitas tacos. Both were good. Negative about my lunch was the fish taco was good maybe even great. But if you are used to west coast fish tacos, you won’t be disappointed but you will say what west coast fish taco eaters on the east coast always say. “I sware, you just can’t get a fish taco here like you can on the west coast” if you know what I mean this is a useful review!

I've said it before and I'll say it again, these college kids have so many options compared to back in my day (decades ago)! I love it, but I'm low key jealous lol. I wanted to try a new place for Taco Tuesday, which just happened to also be "National Taco Day!" Woot! This was a good choice. I've seen positive reviews from some fellow yelpers and knew at some point I'd visit. The service was great. Very nice people working here! I did the taco Tuesday soecial - $2.50 for certain tacos. I did chicken tinga. I was a lil greedy and did 4 tacos. There's some sauces on the side! I liked the hot one. The tacos were good! Parking is tricky. There's a garage but I risked it and parked right in front since I was just doing a take-out order. Add this place to your list!

I popped in here randomly one Sunday needing something quick that the entire family could eat. There's not a designated parking lot so just be prepared to park along the street it's on. But it appears to be majority college kids walking in since you're basically at UMD. I ordered a chicken quesadilla, cheese quesadilla, bowl and a few tacos. Everything is made to order so be prepared to wait a few minutes for your food. But that just means you know it'll be hot when you get it. The kids enjoyed the cheese quesadilla, it's large enough for a couple of small children to share. I hoped the kids would eat some of the chicken quesadilla but I ended up eating it and enjoyed it. The bowl was a little smaller than desired but solid. The tacos were really good also. The hibiscus drink I found to be delicious and finished before my food was ready. ENJOY!

Same dish, different year. Still flavorful. I went before the lunch rush so the dish was brought to the table. The parking isn't free, cheaper to pay for street parking at the meter

Came here on a Friday night hangry and I was kindly greeted by Lordez and another lady. They recommend that I choose the shrimp burrito over the fish one. My food was fresh and they were able to make the requested substitutions. Since the food was fresh and it was busy, it took about 20 min. The burrito was HUGE. The shrimp was good and flavorful but it doesn't disburse throughout the burrito well. So next time, if I want shrimp, I'll get the tacos and get the burrito with fish.

Fast service, the food is always delicious, and the staff is always really kind and helpful. Small sitting space indoors but there is outside seating as well. Definitely a great College Park taco spot.

Randomly stopped in. Never been here before. It was "Taco Tuesday" so select tacos fillings were only $2.50 (Carnitas, Tofu and Chicken) I got a Carnitas taco. It was filled with various toppings. I added some medium sauce, grabbed a cup of free water and was on my way. Consider I was just trying to stave off hunger, I would have prob. got a 2nd :) Little dining space. Large menu. Worth a late night stop in

This is a solid Mexican option for casual dining. They are really fast and the food is great, i recommend the steak quesadillas or burrito. They also offer a reward system and daily specials. I will say during my last visit they didn't give me sour cream and pico with my quesadilla like normal, but i think they were training someone. I visit here almost every week though so i strongly recommend!

I decided to try this place out on a whim. Baja Fish Taco - Flour Tortilla Shrimp Taco - Corn Tortilla Birria Tacos The fish in the fish taco was pretty good. It had good flavor and tasted like it was cooked freshly. The shrimp taco was OK, nothing too crazy. The sauces in both were decent. I could've passed on the birria. It doesn't really have too much flavor when it comes to the meat or the consommé. There was definitely a lot of cheese in the birria taco as well. The tortilla wasn't crispy throughout. It was just crispy on the ends. I will say the fish taco gave this review some extra points for me but overall I think it's a pretty mid decent taco place. I did like how the flour tortillas weren't like those thick bulky flour tortillas. If I had eaten the fish taco alone in the order, I probably would've rated it higher. I'm not sure if it stays open late or not but it'd definitely be good for that.

Delicious and fantastic tacos! I love their multiple varieties and options and of course pair them up with their plantains which I easily devour. Their juices are really nice too

I love this place for my tacos take out. The hibiscus drink is delicious - not to too sweet and lots of flavor. The tacos are all good. My favorite is Barbacoa, and fish. I think the portion sizes are fair for the price increase that is everywhere. If I had to choose chipotle or here. It's here. The service is fast also. I only wish for large orders they thru in chips. They also have family size portions! No pics because the food goes down too fast. Service is friendly so, they hire well.

Probably some of the best Baja Fish Tacos I've ever had, if not the best. I've eaten here a total of four times now and the fish tacos never disappoint (so much so I have yet to try something else on the menu). They are bursting with flavor, have multiple delicious textures and always taste so fresh (the good kind). The place looks unassuming as it's pretty small and slightly tucked away, but I appreciate the colourful decor and the tidy surrounding; mostly all I ask for of in a food place. The service was nice too, not much of a significant interaction as you order at the counter and collect your food once it's prepared, but also nothing to complain about either. Bandit Taco has definitely made it into my books as a favorite and I will be making this place one of my usuals. PS. Try the Horchata too!

I decided to come here on the suggestion of a friends. Never been before... I ordered the Adobo Chicken Bowl...OMG! So delicious! Everything tastes so fresh and clean! The chicken is so perfectly seasoned! So much tastier than anything I've ever ordered from Chipotle! I'll be back, for sure! Amazing service and prices are so good!

Really bad experience. I ordered a crispy shrimp burrito and once I went home to eat, there was barely any shrimp in there and the burrito fell apart. Only 1 shrimp was in there for $13 burrito is a rip-off. Additionally, the service was really bad as well, unfriendly and long waiting time. This never happened before and is very disappointing.

Best Taco Spot In CP, everything is good. The burritos are the best here and the yuca fries are also extremely good. Can't go wrong with any of the protein options. The chorizo burrito is the best thing I've ever had compared to any place in the area. Service is quick and super fresh. Drink selection is really good too and many sauce options. Good seating inside and cool space. Definitely recommended.

The ambiance is so great to study in. The staff is so welcoming and the cashier is so sweet (Sarah). I came here for dinner and the tacos were so good that I came back for breakfast the next day!! SO YUMM

It wasn't great but not bad. Stopped by after shopping at TJs. Just Ok. Habaneros is much better.

Might be the worst value for the money. Ordered Carnitas Burrito for $10.00. There must've been two tablespoons of pork at the most. Should be named rice burrito.

Best Tacos!!!!! I definitely recommend this place. Shrimp tacos where my favorite just amazing also the mushroom tacos where on point. the chips and guacamole where to die for. Just " Delicious". The place was clean and I Love the music that was playing. The staff was friendly and helpful prices where fair and reasonable. Overall I was please with my first visit at Bandit taco. Definitely will be returning to try the Birria taco and more stuff on there menu.

I ordered the mushroom taco and tofu taco, and they were possibly the worst things I had ever put in my mouth for 10$. Both tacos were cold and tasteless. The mushroom was not cooked well and was essentially just sliced mushrooms in a tortilla. The fried tofu taco was somehow even more of a disappointment, with a generous one small piece of cold hard tofu. I have no idea why all the food was cold and uncooked because I went there 3 hours before closing as well. Both tacos had a yellow sauce which I believe to be queso but it honestly tasted like spoiled thai curry with the consistency of mucus, making the experience so much worse. The salsas were also mediocre at best. I would say just save your money and go to one of the many other mexican places nearby

My favorite taco spot! I love love love Bandit since they opened their first location in U St. It quickly became a neighborhood favorite and I'm so happy they continue to expand. I recently tried their breakfast menu and everything is delicious, I'm so glad they have it available everyday at this location. Some of my favorite items from the regular menu: shrimp, korean beef and al pastor tacos!! Their carnitas bowls and mushrooms burritos are outstanding!! they have choices for everyone including vegetarians/vegans! this new location has a nice seating area, music and nice ambiance! everyone is nice and you're greeted as soon as you walk through the door, definitely recommend!!

I love Bandit Taco! Have been a fan since 2021 and I have put so many people on because of how good it is. The ingredients are so fresh and everything tastes delicious every time I go! I have tried their tacos, burritos and bowls but my favorite is the chicken torta! the korean beef torta is also really good! I enjoy the environment and the staff is always friendly and welcoming.
