The noodles themselves — the Biang Biang bowl — were actually good. I’d give that part a solid 4 stars: tasty, fresh, and satisfying. But everything else really dragged the experience down.
The meat wasn’t great. Some bites were fine, but others were tough and chewy, like they’re not using the best cuts.
The real letdown though were the starters. We had the chicken buns (€9) — outrageous price for what you get. The chicken was dark meat and a bit dry. The sauce around it was okay, but nothing special. We also ordered the chicken bites (€9 again) — maybe 5 or 6 small pieces, same issue: dark meat, dry, and not worth it at all.
For me, that’s taking the piss. If you’re going to charge more than Wen Cheng — which is kind of the benchmark in Berlin — at least make it better. But here it’s more expensive and worse. So while the noodles are good, the rest is a 2.
