My partner loves this place, because it's very Celiac-friendly, and she loves Thai and southeast Asian cuisine.
We came here on one of our date nights and, while the food is not quite to my taste, I can't doubt the quality. Further, my partner loves it, so I'll speak to the experience, my perceptions, and her review as I would choose something different next time.
First off, we started with their drunken wings. These are crispy fried wings with garlic, cilantro, and shallots, and were very delicious. We devoured those.
I asked the waiter whether to go for the glass noodles or the curry fry deluxe. He said both were good, but the dry deluxe was more unique and worth a try if I was deciding between the two.
It was a huge bowl, filled with thin cut fries, topped with fried chicken, garlic, herbs, a soft egg, and a curry sauce. The reason I wasn't too fond of this was mostly due to the curry sauce; it leaned heavy into coconut and I found the coconut flavour overwhelmed the rest of the dish. Because the fries were coated in the sauce, they were pretty limp and soggy, which is the texture that the dish was going for, just not what I particularly enjoyed. I'm thinking the next time we'll go, I'll opt for the glass noodles, which don't have the curry sauce.
My partner went with the green curry bowl and, as usual, she devoured the entire thing. She goes here all the time, though, and truly loves it.
I recognize that the quality of my dish was very high, and the staff definitely know what they're doing and they know their product. They were friendly and quick with service and we had a lovely evening. The next time we go, I'll try the glass noodles and probably update my review. But since I didn't particularly care for the taste of my dish, I just can't give it five stars for this trip.
