Where to Find Candy and Chocolate in Nashville | Eater Nashville

"Known for their artisan marshmallows, The Bang Candy Company serves up unique handmade candies and treats. A cold weather favorite is the hot chocolate on a stick — a single-serve hot chocolate mix, available in peppermint and other flavors, and molded onto a wooden spoon for melting." - Kristy Lucero

Went for the candy and left with some unique and fabulous simple syrups. Staff was friendly and really helped us select the best simple syrups. Sampled a few and this was what sold us on not 1 but 2 different syrups. The candy sample was delicious! I recommend stopping by for a free chocolate sample, and sampling the simple syrups for a fantastic treat!!

Google
Bang Candy shop is decorated in a *whimsical* fashion, and definitely geared more for the tourist passing through, possibly after visiting one of the neighboring businesses. I live in Nashville and always try to support local businesses because it's the "Nashville Way!". When I walked in, I was completely ignored by the one staff member behind the counter. Perhaps I acted *too local" because when other patrons entered, they were greeted with the utmost enthusiasm and energy. After browsing for a minute, and deciding on a rather pricey grab bag of chocolates (the store is surprisingly small and there were no free samples to enjoy or much of anything in stock to peruse), I was checked out by the staff member who completely ignored me as he took my cash as he was too busy talking with the tourists. I inquired about a fountain drink and was given no instruction, just the price. ($3 for a small drink) I left, and as I was ) leaving, I couldn't help but notice that out of all the traffic in and out of the shop during my time spent, I was the only paying customer they had. It was an interesting experience and I hate to report that when I opened my expensive bag of mixed, individually wrapped chocolates, one of them was unwrapped and a few of them were melted 😞 The gentleman did give me a replacement bag, but no apology (which is fine, I didn't expect one!) just a story about things being moved around the store recently as an explanation for the damaged goods. ⭐ ⭐

Stopped in here after a different shop, bc who doesn't love candy. It is so cute! Laid out to look like an old soda fountain. Chandeliers made with spoons and vintage coke machine selling glass bottles. Really fun selection of niche items and candy. Pimento cheese popcorn for mom, rainbow unicorn bark, big lollipops, flavored rice krispee treats. The young men who work there are awesome as well. We had several small bags and they were kind enough to give up a large bag and "make it look pretty" Great fun! Great candy!!

Google
This place was super cute - I am not a huge fan of candy but went in to buy a couple of gifts. The gentleman behind the counter was informative but not pushy. He let us try some samples (which made me buy some sprinkle covered dark chocolates). These were in GLASS jars - such a quality gift. This sweet gentleman was so great he wrapped everything up so nicely and with an amazing speed, which I was so pleasantly surprised when I got home. He even offered to wrap and repackage stuff we purchased from another shop, which was wonderful as it was a 11 hour drive home. If you get a chance in Nashville you should BANG CANDY❣️

Google
Beautiful candy shop with unique options and free samples. Friendly service. Try the rainbow bark chocolate!!

Google
All candy should taste this good! They use all-natural ingredients to create stunningly soft fudge, caramels, and marshmallows in a variety of flavors. This is by far the best fudge in Nashville, and by far the best value with their low prices

Google
Loved my visit to this quaint boutique candy store and more. The marshmallows, Rainbow 🌈 Bark and infused chocolates were deliciously creamy and so flavorful. They had other items such as coffee drinks and ice cream. Such a pleasure to chat with owner and daughter. Will be back.

Google
The marshmallows here are not the white blobs you roast over campfires. These are custom made, super soft, with flavors. You'll never want to eat marshmallows from a bag again.

Yelp
Chocolate and service is Haaaaaaa... MAZING!!!! 100% swing by and grab up some of these yummy sweet treats!!

Yelp
Very disappointing tourist trap of an area. Shop website said they hand made their marshmallows, went into shop and lady said we haven't made our own in over 3 years! Well then change your website!!!! Bought one small pkg $10 for 4 and they were nothing special. PASS

Yelp
This is right next to "the pickers" store location. Bang Candy is a Nashville-based sugar-peddler specializing in whimsical confections. Indulge yourself on handmade confections and desserts. There is also a selection of flavored syrups and desert kits. This is an interesting store... they have coffee and drinks as well as candy options. The candy options are a bit on the adventurous side. This is not your normal diabetic causing sweets... these are upgraded adventures in confection flavors and combinations. If your looking for somewhere to occupy your young kids, with sugar inducing jitters, this is not it. This is really more of a candy store for sophisticated explorers and flavors seekers. It is worth sampling, striking out to explore, and indulging in though...

Yelp
We stopped in here on our visit to Marathon Village. The store has fun decor and is filled with candy and gift items. We were offered free samples which were delicious and bought a few things before continuing out shopping and whiskey tasting adventures. The prices are a little high, but that's expected in this setting. The woman at the counter was very nice and super informative too.

Yelp
This review comes a little late, but I love supporting cute local businesses so I wanted to get this review out there. Although I've been to the Marathon Village before I've passed by this little shop and never quite realized where they actually were located even though I had tried their product. The first time I heard of the Bang Candy Company was through a coworker who is from Nashville. She gave us all a set of their hot chocolate on a stick ($16 for 4 sticks). This was so sinfully good and it really made for an excellent Christmas gift. Amazingly big chain stores like Whole Foods sell Bang Candy Company products now too. The Bang Candy Company sells gourmet candy in beautiful packaging including the following: -Marshmallow Delights: I really don't like marshmallows but the fact these are homemade may change my mind... -Flavored syrups -Chocolate bark (their rainbow bark is gorgeous!!) -Caramels and toffees Although it is on the pricey side I like to indulge now and then and this would be good for someone who wants a souvenir from Nashville.

Yelp
Are you wanting to upgrade your smore game? Do you want to support a local business? Are you interested in trying something beyond your mundane, typical-usual sweet treat? GO TO BAND CANDY CO! Recently did a no contact pick up order of their cute marshmallows for a social distanced smore party- and you guys!!!! THEY ARE INCREDIBLE!! First of all, their communication was fast and helpful. They made special arrangements for me to package the marshmallows into smaller groups so each person has their own little marshmallow supply - can't speak highly enough about them. Trust me, JUST GO!

Sallie G.

Yelp
The Bang Candy Company at Marathon village is extremely inviting and has many specialty items besides there chocolates. Will and Markeith are very friendly, polite and attentive. Just a great experience and the samples are delicious. I invite all to experience this, it is the best.

Yelp
Gourmet Marshmallows with a Bang! These aren't your everyday bagged marshmallows you pick up at the grocery store. They tend to be too sweet and rubbery. These delightful treats are hand made in small batches and only quality ingredients are used. The result- an unbelievably fluffy, light, slightly sweet, packed with flavor marshmallow. Upon entering, we were greeted by owner Sarah Souther. She is extremely friendly, hard working, and down to earth. After a bit of chit chat, we found out that she used to sell her marshmallows out of a van. Congrats on the recent opening of your new store Sarah! They currently offer Artisan marshmallows and naturally flavored syrups. The store will eventually turn into a little cafe, where they will offer sandwiches and coffee. We decided to try a variety of flavors (ie. Buttercrunch Toffee, Chocolate Espresso, Rose Cardamom, Ginger Orange Cinnamon, Chocolate Chili, Toasted Coconut, Orange Chocolate, Vanilla Peppermint, and Pumpkin Pie). Biting into one of these marshmallows was like biting into a fluffy cloud. There is no doubt about it, quality ingredients are used to prepare these treats. The Chocolate Chili is no joke, it packs a mean punch. You will surely taste the chili. The Rose Cardamom is such a lovely flavor combination, no wonder it's so popular. I appreciate that no preservatives, stabilizers, artificial colors or artificial flavors are used in the making of these mallows. At around $5 for a box of 4, they are leaning towards the pricier side. However, quality ingredients are used and the flavor combinations are wonderful. The Bang Candy Company takes something familiar and kicks it up a few notches. Note: The fresh marshmallows last up to 7 days.

Yelp
I am so in love and obsessed with this cute place. Literally the best s'mores EVER. They of course have beverages available such as coffee, etc. Great service, lovely shop as well. Oh and reasonably priced! If you're ever in the Nashville area definitely check them!
google avatar

Kelsey D.

Yelp
Super cute little shop. Locally owned and operated. Everything is handmade right on sight, which makes it extra special. Try a smore (which they toast right before your eyes) if you have a chance. Pair it with a coffee drink made with handmade sauces and syrups to make a perfect Nashville snack.
google avatar

Anita M.

Yelp
A bit pricey for its candy here. I liked that there were homemade marshmallows but the bark they sell seems almost outrageous. $4 for a taste sized piece is basically highway robbery. Perhaps if there was something more unique to the candy it would make it more justified.
google avatar

Liz T.

Yelp
If you are in the Nashville area you have to stop at this cute little candy store located in an awesome converted factory. It is so unique in that is specializes in marshmallows! I've never had a gourmet s'more like this before! Toffee marshmallow that melted to perfection placed on top of a short bread cookie with chocolate. Heaven for only $3.25. They also have a selection of flavored simple syrups, caramels, fudge and soft serve ice cream.

Yelp
Marshmallows are always a good idea--and in this Birthday adventure to Nashville it was decided that we should stop somewhere fun that provided homemade, fluffy marshmallows. This place delivered! The aesthetic appeal of the candy here alone can make your mouth water! So far, out of all the things I purchased (and I spent entirely too much on candy), my favorite thing has been the dark chocolate honeycomb squares! I'm out, well... I at all the ones I bought, but I can still remember just how tasty they were! And, and! They have a magic machine here that can produce a s'more on the spot with their chocolate dipped marshmallows. I didn't try one (because I already had too much) but they looked delicious! (I may have drooled over a strangers shoulder... but why joy do something like that in a city where no one but the people you came with will ever see you again? )
google avatar

Kaylen S.

Yelp
Fun candy store locales next to the motor company so we stopped in. They have homemade marshmallows and build your own s'mores so of course we had to try them out and they were delicious. They toast them right there in front of you and the smell is amazing! Definitely a to do with kids!

Yelp
Wednesday, April 16, Tony and I went to the Marathon Village with Matt, Lora, Janie, Dakota and Ethan to visit the American Pickers Nashville store..while visiting I stepped next door to check out the candy store..and I am glad I did..will definitely go back soon!!! I was drawn to the store mainly because of the words CANDY on the sign above the door...lol !!! Who wouldn't be.. I was very pleased with the decor of the interior. I love the old buildings refurbished and reused instead of being torn down or going to sheer waste. I was disappointed that there was no fudge available, but they did have some flavored homemade Marshmallows available for $1 per piece...I bought a piece of homemade salted caramel for $1 and a soda for a $1... I will go back again..I want fudge next time If you are in the area check them out..not really big inside but the great scents of the candy, the sheer aroma will draw you in, even if the name doesn't...

Yelp
Flavorful marshmallow delights! The excellent maple bacon bourbon marshmallow was incredible dipped in chocolate!! I love marshmallows and the freshness of these were incredible. I have eaten the grocery store variety but these are so freaking good and no preservatives so the flavor is light & delicate, sugary and the bacon is savory. Happy mouth feeling all the way around & I'd rather have the one bite of goodness than lots of fillers. The coffee drinks are local--had the firepot chai over ice and with almond milk, which was smooth and spicy. Definitely stop here at Marathon village shops!!

Yelp
The Bang Candy Company is the store for you if you are a fan of homemade marshmallows. Don't be fooled by the name - this place pretty much only sells marshmallows and a little bit of fudge. This cozy shop is located in Marathon Village. There were about 10 different marshmallow flavors (I remember Rose Cardamom, Toasted Coconut and Chocolate, Chocolate Chili, Maple Bacon Bourbon, and the flavor of the month featuring Guinness) on the day we stopped in, along with 2 types of fudge (chocolate and peanut butter). The marshmallows are $1 each while the fudge is $1.75 each. You can also buy boxes of marshmallows, but they are actually more expensive than if you bought them individually (4 for $5). I guess you're paying extra for the box itself? My marshmallows and fudge were great. I'll definitely stop back in if I'm in the area during my next Nashville visit.

Yelp
Pricey little marshmallows! We tried the s'more on a stick, maple bacon bourbon marshmallows, & some bourbon caramels; no bourbon flavor in our opinion. Good homemade candies but not worth the price. Bought some great sounding simple syrups (ex. lavender mint) & am looking forward to creating some craft cocktails.
google avatar

Crystal L.

Yelp
I think I was honestly expecting more candy than this. Tiny store that sells an assortment of homemade marshmallows, wrapped caramels, & peppermint bark. The marshmallows weren't very good in my opinion but the caramels were pretty good. I won't be returning.
google avatar

Millie G.

Yelp
We were in the area and decided to step into this cute shop for some sweets. I decided I wanted to make my own s'more and I was so glad I did. It was absolutely delicious. It was on they smaller side, but that's typical of places with gourmet sweets. You can pick from a small variety of flavors and since I love chocolate I picked a chocolate cookie, and chocolate chili gormet marshmallow . I also had a chocolate chip cookie that was also good. The place is a little pricey for what they offer, but sometimes its ok to treat ourselves.

Yelp
Move over truffles! Make way cupcakes, cookies and frozen yogurt! There's a new sweet in town. Could it be Bang Candy Company owner Sarah Souther is on the forefront of the next food craze? I found Sarah at the Farmers Market, serving up her marshmallow treats from inside an adorable retro trailer. (She's in the back row, next to Emerald Glen Farms - check out my review on them.) While she offers all sorts of flavors and toppings, I chose a small box of her Toasted Coconut and belgian chocolate marshmallows. Inside the adorable gift box was four morsels. The cost was $5, but so worth it. Toasted coconut? Hello???? With chocolate and soft, melt in your mouth marshmallows? Here's the best part: Sarah's planning to open her own shop in Marathon Village in the next few months. So until then, I'll have to make a trip to Farmer's Market, weave my way through the veggies and over to the back row to get my mallow-fix.
google avatar

Candi L.

Yelp
Really good fresh marshmallows! Super soft and tasty! Nothing like those jet puff bagged ones! They even had whiskey flavored caramels which were really good!
google avatar

Colie Z.

Yelp
This was a fun little shop. I had a smore with regular shortbread and a bourbon bacon marshmallow. It was very tasty. The reason the review is 3 stars is because the s'more was tiny and it cost $3.50. I'm all about artisanal treats. I understand the craft and ingredients cost money. What about having a small option and a large option? Are there other marshmallow treats you could offer? I'm glad I went one time, but I wouldn't go back.
google avatar

Maria K.

Yelp
O.M.G this place is amazing. Who would have thought that homemade marshmallows could taste so good!? I had never even thought about homemade marshmallows, what even is a marshmallow??? I tried this place for the first time during TN flavors and was blown away by the sophistication and complexity of their sample. Their sample was a whiskey smore. Sounds simple right? NOT. This thing was like a flavor explosion in your mouth. I don't think my taste buds were developed enough to understand the brilliance of these random flavors (citrus, cherry, chocolate, marshmallow, caramel) being put together. The smore was a chocolate shortbread with cherry smoked caramel, marshmallow smoked with citrus stuff on top. It was delicious and amazing, and I love this candy company so much!!!!
google avatar

Sarah N.

Yelp
Expensive marshmallows for the taste and quality. I didn't think they were bad, but the flavors were just not strong at all. In fact we tried the Wasabi Ginger and the Toasted Coconut Almond ones both which you would expect to have radically different taste, but neither one had very much flavor. The coffee we ordered was what brought this place down an extra star. I ordered an iced coffee and the coffee was beyond burnt. It literally tasted like smoke.
google avatar

Jason H.

Yelp
Amazing selection of coffee and cookies! Also some amazing s'mores with homemade cookies and homemade marshmallows!!!
google avatar

Andrea T.

Yelp
I read about this candy shop in the Nashville Wildsam Field Guide. I guess I was expecting a candy shop? It's really a coffee shop with a small assortment of candy. It was the day of the Porter Flea so maybe they had run out of a few flavors of items? I had the hot chocolate with a pumpkin marshmallow. The hot chocolate was lovely. Not too sweet and just chocolaty enough. The pumpkin added some complexity to the cup. The price of the hot chocolate was also not ridiculous. I'm used to max brenner in philly where the prices are much higher! I also sampled the peanut butter fudge which was very good and a bite of my friends chocolate chip cookie. The cookie tasted homemade...maybe? I like the idea, but your a coffee shop with sweets not a sweet shop with coffee. Definite identity crisis here, but definitely worth stoping in for a fix if your in the area!
google avatar

Shannon F.

Yelp
This is a great local shop with fun flavored, homemade marshmallows. I wish they had a marshmallow tasting like a wine tasting, but with marshmallows! That would be fun!
google avatar

Whitney Y.

Yelp
Really struggling-on what to rate this place because we Loved this place, my son loved the gigantic chocolate chip cookie, my mom loved the Carmels & peanut butter fudge! But I was looking forward to the marshmallows & they didn't taste as I imagined them too .... Bummer. The lady working, guessing owner, was super friendly and sweet! We will be back!
google avatar

Lindy F.

Yelp
"Yeah, but now I have a serious marshmallow jones." -- Red Dragon (2002) Fluffy, gooey, sweet goodness. All the marshmallows please - and quick! They should call this the Bang Marshmallow Company because this is what they sell and specialize in and well they should, because they are damn good at making them. My friend Leslie brought me here on my recent Nashville trip and I was in awe of all the mallows (they had fudge too). I had to get myself the Chocolate Chili and the Maple Bacon Bourbon. They also have a monthly featured flavor - it was Guinness and something (I wish I could remember). They had a Rose Cardamom, but I am not much for rose in my sweets and they had a toasted almond and coconut - but those of you who know me that almond and coconut will kill me - so I passed. The shop is super cute and tucked away in the Marathon Village shops. I loved this place and would most definitely some back to get my Marshmallow on.

Yelp
Cupcakes? Pshaw. That's so 2011. (Just kidding. I still love you, Cupcake Collection.) But don't limit yourself to a single category of sweets. Sometimes you want something lighter, fluffier and more marshy. To the rescue comes The Bang Candy Company. Best marshmallows ever. EVER. Some people say they're pricey. I say they are a bargain. If you eat a piece of cloud dipped in chocolate and coconut for $1, would you call that pricey? If you could float away on a rose-flavored breeze for $1, would you call that exorbitant? So yeah, 5 stars on the marshmallows alone. But wait - there's more: Best sandwiches in Nashville. (Well, ever since the last restaurant at Belle Meade Plantation shut down and took its homemade reuben with it.) I had an amazing panini sandwich filled with salami, goat cheese, kalamata olives, onions and some other goodies. This sandwich was such a Super Sandwich that it literally broke Bang's panini machine. (No worries, I think they were able to fix it with a screwdriver.) Could it get better? The homemade herbal lemonade vaulted this experience into 6 or 7 star territory, but alas Yelp caps the scale at 5 stars, so I'll go with that.
google avatar

Peggy O.

Yelp
A brilliant idea and delicious. I am a huge marshmallow lover - and the variety is amazing. It would give me great pleasure to put one in my cup of coffee every morning. Genius, absolutely genius.

Yelp
Walked into The Bang Candy Company in Nashville and was greeted by Nikki Lane the very friendly and sweet gal working the counter. Come to find out she is a singer who will be in my home city of Austin in October to perform at ACL Festival. Only in Nashville (or maybe Austin) can you find this sort of fun connection. Best of luck to Nikki on her singing career. From her my friend and I chatted with the owner who is a bubbly red head from Ireland. She started her business in a vehicle selling marshmallows on the street. From here her connection with Mike Wolf of American Pickers lead her to opening a candy shop next door to his Antique Archeology store in the newly renovated Marathon Village. Ta da! The shop itself is adorable with exposed brick walls and high top tables. Marshmallows dipped in chocolate and other forms of candy are the specialty though they have homemade lemonade and other cool drinks. If you don't like marshmallows you can buy homemade cookies. There is a vintage 1970s jukebox and magazines to flip through if you decide to stay and hang for a bit. I really love the look and vibe of this place and the snacks are refreshing. It is a great break spot from the lines for next door as Antique Archeology will very frequently have lines.
google avatar

Chloe M.

Yelp
The customer service here is pretty mediocre. It would have been nice if the girl behind the counter had said "Hi" when we walked in the door. Instead, she was too busy texting on her phone to even look up at us. It would have been nice if she had asked us if we had been there before and if not, then tell us something about what exactly they sell. I think it is a fair assumption that most people have not had a "premium" marshmallow. At least the marshmallow was good. I tried the lime flavored one and my dad had the orange. It's a very subtle flavor. I wouldn't make a special trip to go there though. There are far too many other places in the area where the staff are friendly and they appreciate your business.
google avatar

Kristin Marie S.

Yelp
So yummy! There is nothing better on a cold day then hot chocolate with bang candy company marshmallows. The chili chocolate, heck yeah! They come in cute little boxes and are made with love, you can just tell. I haven't been over to their new locale but I have purchased them from their mobile shop. Really the whole thing is great. The only thing that holds me back from giving it 5 stars is the price, $5 for 4 marshmallows, ouchie. Still worth picking up some if you have extra cash or need a gift!
google avatar

Amanda C.

Yelp
This place is great just because of the oddity of having a place to buy gourmet marshmallows is awesome. I really enjoyed my espresso marshmallow and the chocolate chili marshmallow as a sweet snack before the Iron Fork Show. Both were light and airy....kinda like little melty cloud pillows of OH YEAH. To accompany my marshmallows, I had the Lavender Mint Lemonade. It was really refreshing and did not have an overly sugary taste to it. I truly enjoyed it and may have to try making my own one day. The price is a bit steep and that is my only complaint....so this is a treat only place for me at the moment....(dang you student loan repayment messing up marshmallow indulgences!!!) They do have an assortment of fresh sammys and coffee products too. Their tee shirts for sale are just darling by the way. I am going to have to get one or put it on my wish list to show some local support in the form of being a walking billboard.

Yelp
The question is how to judge Bang Candy Co. Does one judge by the offerings, by the service, or by your gut reaction? There is so much to like, and a few things that annoy. First thing I hate, hate, HATE the location. No one can convince me that Marathon Village is a good area, reasonable to reach, and is poised for renewal. It's a bunch of old warehouses surrounded by areas I don't like finding myself in the middle of the night. They seemed a little over-proud of their meager food selection, which seemed to be the barest minimum for a place trying to gather a lunch crowd. One thing that creeps me out is their selection of bizarro sodas. It's not like these flavors are unusual, it's that they're completely unrecognizable and unappealing. This is my personal opinion, but I feel it valid with "Habanero and Lime," "Hibiscus Orange Flower Ginger," "Ginger Rosemary," and "Rose Cardamom." I've tried the only Strawberry Mint, and even that was a couple steps of weirdness beyond my preference. That being said, the staff is friendly and personable. I enjoyed chatting with them and learned about what's going on in this area of urban blight. I was disappointed when they informed me that the Listening Room had been shuttered, but not surprised. I liked the decor, and especially the 60s record player. The marshmallows are excellent: well flavored and had good texture (it better have at a dollar a pop), and their coffee brew was tasty. If you're lucky enough to find the Bang trailer, give it a shot. If you happen to be tooling around Jefferson St. or Watkins Park, or you work at Millennium Village, hitting the shop will be a treat. It's worth a visit.

Yelp
I am absolutely in love with Bang Candy Company. I'm not the biggest candy fan but I tried them on a suggestion from a coworker who spoke very highly of them. I have since placed several Postmates orders and been by there. The location is wonderful and right next to some really cool locations like Marathon Music, the old Soda Parlor, and Safe House Tattoos. I have tried nearly every caramel they create and their lemonade is worth the drive just to get one if nothing else. Try a simple syrup with it like the strawberry rhubarb. The marshmallows are also something to behold and if you buy 10 of said caramels you'll get an awesome bag with the logo on it. Definitely worth checking out!
google avatar

Courtney T.

Yelp
Homemade caramels...amazing!!! I could have eaten the whole bag in one sitting. Definatley something to savor! Homemade marshmallows-were tasty but to squishy for my taste. The flavor didn't come through well. The chocolate made it better. I'd go back for the hand rolled caramels!
google avatar

Yelp
Just purchased 2 lemonades that we're $3.75 each that were way to sweet, not even fresh squeezed and filed to the brim with ice. LITERALLY 5 sips per cup. We barely made it out of the shop with half a cup full and the girl up front knew we weren't happy, as we all mentioned the ice ice after our first sips. She should have refilled us. The peanut butter fudge we bought had a good flavor but was doughy in texture and melty due to the heat, I presume? We threw those away. $13 later, no candy and ver little drink.
google avatar

Yelp
Wasn't impressed with my experience overall and I probably would have given a better review had the service met with any kind of expectations. Location - love the old building (marathon car works building). Its right beside Antique Archeology (American Pickers) so that should be a plus Fare - marshmellows. Would have been interested in trying somethign but they didn't offer any suggestions what so ever, not even when I said "I wouldn't mind trying something but not really sure what you have here". Duh! Open invite there! Drinks - they have a great lavender mint lemonade...try it....love it. Very refreshing. Staff - not so helpful. I get that it was a busy saturday and you probably have a lot of lookers because of your location. But...customer service is what keeps doors open...just saying....

Magdalena A.

Yelp
Have been here before and was MEMORABlLE...So disappointed as arrived 15 minutes before stated closing time and place was closed!!! What gives? So sad.:(

Yelp
Pretty underwhelmed by this place unfortunately.... very small, expensive and not many choices for anything "candy". There are a couple marshmallows to choose which should be about half the price they are, and the rest is ice cream.

Yelp
Looooved this place. We almost cruised right on by as there's a very small antiques store next door that apparently always has a line. I was thinking everyone was in line for the marshmallows. Luckily we parked and checked it out. We sampled a few of the marshmallows including the special of the day, maple bourbon bacon which was out of this world. I can seriously still taste it now. If you've had the Rogue Voodoo Doughnut Bacon Maple Ale, just imagine it in marshmallow form. The coffee, made to order, was also super good and the perfect accompaniment to the sweets. They also have some great t-shirts and coffee mugs as well as homemade flavored simple syrups and t hey'll package your marshmallows to go (a great souvenir to take home to the kitty sitter...)

Yelp
Stopped in while on a weekend trip to Nashville, and this was one of the places I was the most excited to try. We had a s'more, a toffee (I think was what they called it), and a few of the stand alone marshmallows to try, as they really don't have much else. The s'more was decent, but the cookie was too hard and made a bit of a mess. The marshmallows on their own were really, really lackluster. They were over whipped and nearly flavorless, and the chocolate tasted more like almond bark than the real thing. Too fluffy, and almost like solidified whipped egg whites versus sweet, sugary pillows that they should be. I like to support handmade, but they have quite a ways to go to be good. Gave them 2 stars instead of 1 because the counter girl was friendly and helpful.

Yelp
My visit to The Bang Candy Company was with a friend who had read about the establishment online & wanted to purchase something unique as a Christmas gift. The venue is located in an area that may be considered trendy by some & dangerous by others. It is heavily congested. I don't usually consider difficulty in parking a problem if I am pleased with the overall experience; but the parking was inconvenient. The store is very small and also heavily congested. I purchased a gift box of 12 & 4 individual pieces to try myself. It seems that all orders are packaged when purchased & the wait was fairly long for such a small order. Regarding the candy, it's not that special. The idea is interesting ... homemade marshmallows of different flavors & toppings. Unfortunately the ones I purchased all tasted pretty much the same. Some were identifiable as the flavor attached to them; some were not. They are small & light and are sold at $1 each. I almost wonder if I really want to give the gift I purchased. I suppose I will since it is unique; but it's just not what I was hoping for. I hope the recipient is not as disappointed as I was.

Yelp
Stumbled into this place after visiting American Picker's store. Tiny store with lots of delicious options. Not cheap. Staff was friendly but didn't greet you when you walked in. The peanut butter fudge was so good, my friends and I went back in twice to get more. Some in our group were hesitant since they don't like peanut butter fudge, but wanted more once they tried it.

Yelp
The place was well stocked with sweets but we just came in for cool beverages which we received! It is a colorful and quiet place to stop in! The staff are sweet (no pun intended) and always have a smile to brighten your day! The AC definitely works so again a great place to stop in!
