Google
food is fantastic, I have had multiple dishes from here and I have never been disappointed. large servings, friendly staff good prices. everything you want in a restaurant, to include clean restrooms.

Google
The Pad Thai with chicken here is hands down the best in Delaware. I go visit Thai restaurants all over the country. I want you to know how much of a gem this place is! Come eat here. Quality prices excellent food and service!

Google
So- for me where the restaurant did best was its heat level. The papaya salad did feel authentically hot- however it wasn’t served correctly. And from there it went downhill. All the portions were small, food overpriced and the service and atmosphere is sparse. In the Thai Basil- we had to do some serious digging to find a few slivers of what we could only hope was indeed basil. I’m being generous to rate this restaurant with 2 stars. … I’m sad to say I was disappointed. - in case it wasn’t obvious enough.

Google
I came in and got the fried rice with tofu. The server was very nice and diligent however the food was very bland and i felt a little sick after eating it. I took the rest home thinking maybe i wasnt hungry and ate the rest the day after. Turns out i got salmonella poisoning so i will not be coming back. Cross contamination is no joke.

Google
I paid 17.95 for dry fried rice and beef. The beef was a 2 dollar surcharge, which makes sense, but the rice being $16 dollars is insane considering it was rice, some carrots, onion and a one piece of tomato. This is after I walked and and specifically asked to be recommended something since I've never had Thai before. Maybe I don't like Thai, but I suspect someone was just asleep at the wheel, with both pricing and staffing.

Google
THIS PLACE IS AWFUL!!!!!!!!! Ordered $65 worth of food and tip. Got home and was missing rice for both curry orders. Man on the phone refused to refund me unless I drove 20 minutes the whole way back to give them back the food. He said he would only take off $6 worth of spring rolls for my trouble. Everyone knows you can’t eat curry without rice. Soy sauce was spilled all over everything and the spring rolls are terrible. Dumplings were soggy and nasty. Tried a spoonful of curry and it takes like they added water to it. Everything was miniature and not worth the money. Thanks for ruining my dinner and ensuring I wasted my money. I was so excited for dinner and now have nothing to show for it. Disrespectful and downright rude. Will be disputing the charge with my bank.

Google
Delicious meal! We had Thai fried rice vegetable with tofu and chicken Thai fried rice. The food was fresh. We asked for medium spicy and it’s hot. We will definitely be returning! The place is big and clean.

Google
Best thai around! I’d stay away from mixed drinks. The wine prices are great and the meals are plenty and the best around. It was our first time here and we can’t wait to come back!

Yelp
I highly recommend this place for the great food and fast and friendly service. Tried this place for dinner, with an order of carry out and the food was very fresh and delicious. I had an order of the fresh garden roll, papaya salad and the hot and sour soup with mushrooms. I will be back.

Yelp
Food was delicious vegetable dumplings excellent. Avocado shrimp was excellent. Shrimp pad Thai was wonderful.

Yelp
Mom and I were gonna go to the Mexican restaurant for dinner, but we saw the sign for Bangkok Bistro and decided to eat there instead. Boy, am I glad we did! The food was delicious and our server was friendly and gracious. We started with the shrimp avocado appetizer, which was yummy. I had a bowl of hot and sour mushroom soup, which was the best I've ever had! Mom had basil glass noodles with chicken, and I opted for the vegetable pad Thai glass noodles. Both were fantastic! There were plenty of open tables, and our booth was clean and comfortable. We will definitely go back!

Yelp
Been wanting to stop here for a while and I'm glad we did! Wound up ordering 1/2 the menu and it was all great. Shrimp Avocado Appetizer Chicken Satay Vegetable Pot Stickers Spring Rolls Pineapple Fried Rice Basil Fried Rice Duck All fantastic I can't wait to try more things in this menu!

Yelp
Is it bad to be addicted to Thai Crispy Cream Cheese bites? Is it bad to lick peanut sauce off of your plate while in public? Asking for a friend. Regardless I wouldn't want to be in a world where these things were frowned upon because then I wouldn't be so blessed to have the Bangkok Bistro within drooling, I mean driving distance. I'm starved for this kind of fare and have found few places as friendly, quick and delicious. We had the aforementioned cheese bites, plus the crispy and tasty spring rolls, Chicken Satay and Peanut Sauce with tofu. And, and oh my finally some Thai Tea Bubble Tea. Really great service and excellent food. Sawatdee! This is a Thai greeting meaning you are blessed. Indeed.

Yelp
Delicious Mussuman curry with a sprinkle of roasted peanut halves and a side of jasmine rice. He got a side of peanut sauce on the pad Thai which "took it to the next level." They were out of Singha so we tried the Leo and it was crisp and flavorful, imported from Thailand. We tried the homemade mango ice cream and it was mild, with chunks and a hint of mango flavor but creamy and not icy nor anything like sorbet. Service by Marlin was prompt and friendly. Altogether a great choice, as evidenced by tables of happy customers including some regulars.

Yelp
I've had terrible Thai in Delaware and have been looking for something bordering on tasty...this place wasn't the worst but certainly isn't the best. It seems like a Chinese interpretation of Thai....I could taste a sweet chicken cornstarch broth that had been used as a stir fry base. I initially ordered Drunken Noodles...they were cooked with the wrong noodles and with the exception of the spice, completely bland. I switched to Pad See Ewe and added crushed red peppers. This has slightly more flavor, a bit heavy on the oyster sauce, but still lacked any dimension. Disappointed but at least I've checked off lunch for the day. Service was fast and pleasant.

Yelp
The essence of Thai food is all about balance - achieving the perfect harmony between sweet, sour, hot, and salty. Even though Thai food uses many of the same core ingredients as other southeast Asian countries: chili, garlic, ginger, lemongrass, fish sauce, palm sugar, and lime juice. Good Tai chefs manage to retain a unique flavor. Thailand's various regions all have complex cooking styles, flavors, and unique dishes. This is simply one of the best Tai restaurants we have been to and we are looking forward to coming back.

Yelp
I've been to both the Dover and Lewes location. Lewes is cleaner and has better service. Food is great at both. I love the Phad Thai, Thai tea and crab Rangoons!

Yelp
First time visiting BB having heard so many good things about it; delicious drunken noodles, very friendly service, and a cute space - can't wait to return!

Yelp
The outside sign says Thai Bistro and inside say Bangkok Bistro so I wasn't sure where I was eating at. The place was clean but the decor is poor. Black decals of skylines on the wall really doesn't take me on a journey. We were waited on quickly since there was only one other occupied table. We ordered fried cream cheese wonton, they were good and hot. I ordered the Big Bowl Bangkok soup. Honestly I wasn't impressed. The bowl was big but it was half full of soup. See pic. The chicken was bland. It was boiled then added to the soup. I found 2 small shrimp and noodles. The broth was good but not a lot of seasoning. It was an OK soup. They also didn't bring any basil, jalapeños or bean spouts for the soup. I like the deep flavored soups I usually get at Thai or Vietnamese restaurant and this wasn't super flavorful. Not bad. The Pad Thai was a heat level 1 when we wanted a 3 . It made your nose run but no sweats.lol it was good but again the chicken was the same as the soup a,bland. See pics. I asked for the spice tray and it had my favorites . We will go back again. Probably won't order the soup. We would order the cream cheese appetizer and the Pad Thai again.

Yelp
Food price has gone up by a couple of bucks and portions look like they have been cut in half. I'm so tired of shrinkflation. I can't stand it.......... last time I ate here although I really like this place for the taste and quality of the food I was still hungry when I left. WTF... I wish they would serve a bigger portion For the cost we're paying I would go here more often

Abbe O.

Yelp
Excellent service, the cuisine is delicious, atmosphere is inviting. They never disappoint

Yelp
Drunken Noodles and pad tai was good but they were both sweeter then we liked. Service was excellent. Will go back again. This is one of the best Asian food places around.

Yelp
OK. So. This is a restaurant that produces high quality food, consistently. My fiancé and I moved to Georgetown from years living in Lewes so, restaurant options in this area are slim and so is quality as well. BUT, we know without a doubt that when we eat from here, it will be DELICIOUS!!! I promise you, their food is SO good. Coming from the niece of an aunt & uncle who are teachers in Thailand. I LOVE getting some curry when I'm feeling under the weather too. It is sooo soothing and yummy. Thank you for the amazing quality food that you produce!

Yelp
I like Thai food and it's usually good but I've found none better than Bangkok Bistro in Georgetown, DE. Tucked away in a strip mall along US-113, you will find yourself enjoying a delightful dining experience. The Green Mussels appetizer was out-of-this-world with an herb sauce to die for! The Chicken Satay was good and the fresh rolls could not have been any fresher! Their luncheon specials are a great bargain - a very large plate of food for about ten dollars. They offer five levels of spiciness (none, mild, medium, hot, and "Thai hot") on their entrees. It's probably better to go on the milder side then spice up your plate to your own taste with the condiment tray that comes to the table (crushed red pepper, jalapenos, Thai chiles, and a spicy-sweet-salty relish).

Yelp
Amazing food every time we go, always great people and food is always cooked right. Definitely a place to try if you haven't been. Try the drunken noodles.
google avatar

Yelp
Very good consistent meals! Chef/owner is very pleasant Beef soup is one of my favirotes

Yelp
We shared 2 dishes and both had problems. Minor issues, but unfortunate regardless. The fish (whole tilapia) was dry and overcooked. There wasn't enough sauce so it was a bit disappointing. The noodles were ordered as "Thai hot" but the cook forgot (according to the waitress). The waitress was a sweetheart and always available to help. The restaurant is very open and a bit cold feeling. Considering the rural area it's located, not terrible. I'd not return personally but was a decent experience.

Yelp
I have continued to patronize this place. I have now had over 15 dishes on their very extensive menu. All of the food is fresh and hot when it arrives at your table. The staff is d as Keats very friendly and seem to be happy to see you. On my last three visits, the place has had steady business inside and the takeout orders are steady every time. I'm pleased that they are continuing to thrive in Georgetown.

Yelp
The food is very delicious! Love the Ginger Chicken dish the most. The staff is very nice and the restaurant is very lovely. Highly recommend this place.

Yelp
I was in the mood for Thai food and my neighbors swear by this place. Fast forward SMH little old Georgetown is rocking it with authentic Thai food. So if your traveling south on 113 It's worth the stop in Georgetown. I was lucky enough to have Titima as my server but call her "Onny " as she is affectionately called, and she treats you like a family member. This has to be the cleanest restaurant I have ever seen. Started with an appetizer of spring rolls which were super fresh and flavorful. The Thai chicken yellow curry with coconut milk with potato, carrot, and onion was authentic and loving the dolphin shaped rice! FYI spice meter verdict with curry: Yellow is mild/medium, red is medium-hot, and green curry is hot. The pad Thai shrimp was the bomb ! It was colorful, full of texture, and veggies. Bangkok Bistro is in an older strip mall, but once you open the door to Bangkok Bistro, it's awe dropping, decorated so nicely and big! ( Right up from J.J.'s Bagels ...you know the best bagels ever) . Bangkok bistro has been there for three years , and they are closed on Sunday. Did I say clean? The health score is 100/100 ! They offer Tiger beer, Sapporo, Kirin Ichiban, Tsingtao and other domestic beer.

Yelp
Soooooo I was so confused. I was on a road trip and I searched for the Bangkok bistro for a few minutes before realizing it was misnamed on yelp or vise Versa. The outside says "Thai Bistro" and I think they renovated the inside and not the outside. The inside was pristine and clean. The food was very good and flavorful. I got the seafood soup. The menu had no description and I had to ask the waiter many questions. He didn't know any of the answers because it was his first day and that was pretty annoying...but we made due. Overall a decent experience for a Thai restaurant in the middle of nowhere Delaware!

Steve G.

Yelp
The worst meal I have ever tried to eat !!!! We ordered Pad Thai ,drunken noodles , Thai fried rice and steamed dumplings. It was take out. I was so disgusting we threw all of it out . Awful just awful Stopped in restaurant on the way back 2 days later and told the owner. She was great she resolved it Tried again it was delicious

Yelp
We are in the Georgetown area of Delaware a few times a year and have been challenged to find a lunch spot we really like. Today we tried Bangkok Bistro and were quite impressed. The restaurant is spacious and comfortable, and the bathrooms were clean and modern. The servers were attentive and gracious. We started with Spring Rolls which were crispy, non-greasy, and delicious. The Pad Thai was cooked perfectly and very satisfying. I got the Thai Chicken Fried Rice and had them add pineapple ($1) and was very happy. The food here is seasoned with a thoughtful hand; not too salty and not greasy. We now have our "go-to" place for lunch in Georgetown.

Yelp
This was our first visit - after looking for a Thai restaurant near our home in Millsboro, DE. The Bangkok Thai restaurant is excellent! I had Chicken Panang Curry that was one of the best curry dishes I've ever had! My wife had Chicken Pad Thai and she said it was also one of the best she has ever had! The restaurant was clean and the service was great and very personal. The total bill was just over $30 - a very reasonable price. We will go back! You should try it.
google avatar

Kerry N.

Yelp
We ordered pepper garlic beef, vegetable Thai basil rice and cashew chicken with vegetables, for $37. We could not discern if the brown, crusty stuff was beef or leftover, burnt cardboard. It had the most unusual texture too. The dish had 3 peppers and no garlic flavor at all. The fried rice, which was a $2 upgrade, was okay, nothing special. The vegetable Thai basil rice was mushy and lacking vegetables. The cashew chicken decent. We ordered takeout, on-line, so we couldn't address the beef situation with them. The on-line ordering is simple and convenient. The format makes selecting options of sides and spice level very easy. Overall, it was an expensive disappointment.

Yelp
Back again and still loving the food. We go here on our way to and from the shore and it's always a one of the most long-awaited stops. They can prepare many dishes gluten free and are very allergy friendly. Other Thai restaurants will either leave out gluten containing ingredients or add a gf soy sauce with no other flavors. Thai/Bangkok Bistro adds lots of other spices to their gluten free foods so it tastes excellent!
google avatar

Chuck B.

Yelp
Not big on atmosphere in their large open dining room, but their pad Thai was outstanding, available with a range of heat to suit taste. The food is the most important part and this restaurant gives that the right amount of attention.
google avatar

Nate W.

Yelp
The food was great. The customer service was fantastic. The woman that helped us was very friendly and make sure that we felt welcomed the whole time. Will definitely be coming back again.

Yelp
Where do I even begin... the peanut entree with chicken had the portion of a 3 year old child, pad thai had barely any chicken because instead of chicken they gave us tofu ( only few pieces of chicken on top but on bottom was a ton of tofu) and the pad thai had no vegetables, egg, peanuts, or bean sprouts. Also ordered the panang curry and mussaman curry, 2 different curries that ended up being the same! They had the same taste, same look, same everything. And I have been to Thailand! I know what these curries are supposed to taste like and look like and these were the most horrific representations, I wouldn't even consider them a curry with how watery and flavorless they were. They didnt even have any seasoning and tasted sour somehow! If you want to eat thai avoid this place as it isn't thai, more like a McDonald's of thai. Btw we didnt even eat the curries because they tasted so bad.

Laura A.

Yelp
We love pangang curry and have tried it a various traditional and not traditional. Unfortunately, this was missing a lot of things. It was not creamy and did not taste like the peanut sauce. The tofu didn't even look cooked. When we asked they questioned us by saying what did we know about the dish. Then another person came over and told us that it was because they don't use fresh coconut but instead just milk from the can. So, it's not creamy. We had to ask for ours to go and are going to try and salvage it at home With some ingredients. Do not try the Panang curry. It missed the flavour and the spices and even texture. Unfortunately. Other food did look good but we didn't get a chance to try it.

Yelp
Unbelievably delicious food. Leaving OCMD to head back to Philly, my boyfriend and I were getting hungry and decided to stop in off the highway. Definitely rolled the dice as you never know the quality of a restaurant in a complex in a random town. But WOW. The food blew my mind. I've had a lot of Thai in my life and I can honestly say it was the best green curry I've ever had. I got spicy green curry with shrimp and my boyfriend got medium red curry. We both loved our dishes. Not to mention they shaped our rice hahaha mine was shaped like a dolphin. Such a fun touch. The servers were kind and welcoming. Could not recommend this spot any higher!
google avatar

Lisa S.

Yelp
We love this restaurant because: (a) the quality of the food is fantastic, (b) the staff that works there are very friendly and authentic, and (c) excellent service. We highly recommend this restaurant for Thai food!
google avatar

Beth E.

Yelp
Nice and spacious restaurant with friendly staff. Food was served fast and was delicious. The menu has a good selection to choose from and the prices are definitely reasonable.

J L.

Yelp
Pretty atmosphere and clean. Wait staff was very nice. However, I'm an Asian who has enjoyed a lot of good authentic Thai food. The pad thai was pretty good but the drunken noodles, basil beef, and green curry were not very good in my opinion.

Greg H.

Yelp
I read other reviews and they got it right ! I ordered the drunken noodles with shrimp with a 3 out 4 for spicy-ness - it was outstanding-so good!! I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in the area - the service was also excellent and the dish came out quickly- highly recommend this place
google avatar

Pjuan B.

Yelp
I usually take a picture of my food but I was too hungry and dug right in. When I tell you I was blown away with their green curry duck (I got it the spiciest way) I was also given some hot seasoning on the side. The vegetables were delicious, the broth was smooth and flavorful, the duck was delicious and tender. I will be back to come here again. It's beautiful inside!!! I'll have to dine in next time!
google avatar

R S.

Yelp
Stopped in for lunch. Service was excellent and food was very good! As the server told me, this is the best kept secret in Georgetown!

Robert S.

Yelp
Never a bad meal! Titima and her staff are generous and happy to help with menu suggestions. Try all their great dishes!
google avatar

Yelp
Passing through dlDelaware and we stopped at this gem to try the food. It was authentic and the service was impeccable. Would definitely comeback if we are in the area
google avatar

Ray L.

Yelp
Came here for dinner with friends and found out it's happy hours and they have a special menu and also $1 off for drinks. The special menu is $25 for 2 and you can pick 1 appetizer to share and 2 entrees (big bowl soup, Pad Thai, Fried Rice) appetizer: egg rolls (4) and fried wontons (8) - they came out tasty and hot Entree: Chicken pai thai Beef pai thai Big bowl soup Thai basil fried rice. drinks: Saporo beer Kirin beer 2 red wine. Everything was good and we all enjoyed our meals and the portions were good. They only had 1 waiter and 1 in training but the service was decent. Will go back to try their other menu items in the future.

Ladd C.

Yelp
Excellent Thai food, hot and delicious with very reasonable pricing. The environment and hospitality are welcoming. I've been a loyal customer for a couple of years and they have proven to be consistent throughout that time frame. Highly recommended!!!

Jackie K.

Yelp
My husband and I had takeout yesterday and were looking forward to good Thai food after reading the reviews. So disappointed as we found the food poorly seasoned and of poor quality - at a $62.00 price tag. Needless to say we won't be returning.

Karen B.

Yelp
I've had many things on the menu. Or go to place during the pandemic and now we stop by whenever we are looking for Thai Food.
google avatar

Mady P.

Yelp
I have been to all three of this restaurant's locations in dover, rehoboth, and now georgetown! I was not disappointed at all. I highly recommend their pad thai! Their thai tea is spot on as well. Very friendly service and their decor is simple but sweet. I'm glad they've opened this location and I hope it gets the business it deserves! Definitely recommend!
google avatar

Corinnia M.

Yelp
My sister and I stopped in on a Friday night at 6 to eat dinner. They have a great menu. Customer service is top-notch. The food is spot-on. You can order the mild medium hot or Thai hot to your dishes. The vegetables are all cut the same size. The rice is the perfect amount. The salt is perfect in the dish not too much not too little. The interior is a great contemporary style. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing. Tables have a nice spacing you're not on top of one another. Check it out I think you'll like it

Hope B.

Yelp
I absolutely love this restaurant. The food is delicious. They recently added boba tea!

Yelp
The greatest Thai food in the region. Large menu nice and clean. An absolute about face from the Red Hen in Lexington VA (Red Hen sucks)
