Unspoken, this is one of (if not the BEST) Thai restaurants in Barcelona. Each dish was notably prepared with passion and balanced with the best spices. We discovered this hidden secret, tucked away on a tiny street in the Les Corts neighborhood. I’ve been a Barcelona resident for over 12 Years and tried many Thai spots, some which have come and gone but my Thai cuisine experience was forever changed when I recently discovered this amazing spot. In searching google for an Asian/Thai restaurant that was likely to be open on a Monday night when returning home late from shopping. After plugging the address into the GPS, we found street parking and made our way to the doors of Bangkok Cafe. A small cozy restaurant with a handful of tables, apparently offered in two reservation seatings during the evenings. We did not have a reservation but were lucky to be sat in-between the seating times. The restaurant was busy and the staff very friendly and accommodating. I make it a point to order ¨staples¨ on my first visit to a Thai restaurant. Chicken Satay, Pad Thai and a Spicy Soup. Each one of these dishes were absolutely amazing. Once again, the staff was very gracious, all working together like a well oiled machine. We left feeling extremely satisfied and looking forward to a future visit. The only negative comment I can share about the experience is the fact of the restaurants size. The kitchen occupies about 1/3 of the space, therefore clothing will absorb much odor from the creativity for those delicious plates. A very small inconvenience for AMAZING Thai cuisine.
