"There is only one spot in town that does justice to the salty, spicy, sour, and sweet Thai flavors: this no-fuss-looking eatery in a residential street lined with tiny houses in Les Corts. If you can’t locate Bangkok Café on your first attempt, just close your eyes and follow your nose: you’ll smell the deliciously funky Thai fish sauce and chili aromas long before you spot it. The herb-laden larb gai packs a punch and has been known to make grown men cry, while the thick peanut gravy in the Penang curry is so good you’ll lick it clean off the plate. With fewer than 10 tables, and huge demand (mostly from Barcelona’s chili-starved expat community), you’d be well advised to make a reservation by phone before trekking out here." - Isabelle Kliger

This Thai place is as close as you can get in Barcelona. If you don’t like spicy food, try other places. If you love to try something Thai, make a booking and have a blast here. Enjoy!

Fantastico authentic Thai food. Very friendly service. Large diverse menu of real Thai dishes. Great for a quick bite for lunch and a wonderful lunch menu that hits spot. Barcelona is greatest food city on earth. Every culture under the sun is represented here, true melting pot. The duck curry with lychees and grapes is out of this world! Ola gracias! Rapido!

Very tasty food made with care. I always choose vegetarian dishes with tofu, and I've tried every one on the menu hehe. They’re excellent! I’ve returned to this restaurant several times, and the food is always high-quality and delicious

Everytime I come to Barcelona I get take out from here. My favourite is the #16 soup. Take out portions are small for the price but everything I have ordered is very fresh and so good! It’s a cozy space inside and the staff are lovely. Thank you for my reusable take out bag 💝

Unspoken, this is one of (if not the BEST) Thai restaurants in Barcelona. Each dish was notably prepared with passion and balanced with the best spices. We discovered this hidden secret, tucked away on a tiny street in the Les Corts neighborhood. I’ve been a Barcelona resident for over 12 Years and tried many Thai spots, some which have come and gone but my Thai cuisine experience was forever changed when I recently discovered this amazing spot. In searching google for an Asian/Thai restaurant that was likely to be open on a Monday night when returning home late from shopping. After plugging the address into the GPS, we found street parking and made our way to the doors of Bangkok Cafe. A small cozy restaurant with a handful of tables, apparently offered in two reservation seatings during the evenings. We did not have a reservation but were lucky to be sat in-between the seating times. The restaurant was busy and the staff very friendly and accommodating. I make it a point to order ¨staples¨ on my first visit to a Thai restaurant. Chicken Satay, Pad Thai and a Spicy Soup. Each one of these dishes were absolutely amazing. Once again, the staff was very gracious, all working together like a well oiled machine. We left feeling extremely satisfied and looking forward to a future visit. The only negative comment I can share about the experience is the fact of the restaurants size. The kitchen occupies about 1/3 of the space, therefore clothing will absorb much odor from the creativity for those delicious plates. A very small inconvenience for AMAZING Thai cuisine.

The food was very authentic and absolutely delicious. We received our order incredibly fast, and I got to taste a variety of dishes—especially enjoyed the curries and soups. However, the place is quite small, and with the open kitchen, it can get pretty hot inside. The service was friendly, but they rushed us to leave, which I understand as they wanted to seat more customers. Overall, I recommend the experience, especially for the food, but be prepared for a quick dining experience!

Yelp
First off, the food tasted great. It was fresh and quickly prepared. The cafe itself was crowded and a bit loud (sort of like actually being in Bangkok). I was disappointed that they used fish and oyster sauce as well as shrimp in all the curries; I'm vegetarian. There were only two options for me, but it turned out fine. The location is in a part of the city that is a bit far from the tourist area, but it is nice. Quality food and recommended if you're having a pang for Thai in that area.

Yelp
The best Thai food I have eaten ever!!!! I had the coconut soup and the red curry. Absolutely delicious!!!

Yelp
I had a great experience here. I just flew in from 12 hour flight and decided to come here for dinner. Turns out, it was reservations only. I didn't have a reservation but the waiter seated me right away anyway. I'm so thankful for that. The dining area is really small and This place gets super busy. Food was really quick and fresh. I ordered the green curry and it was really good. A bit oily though but it's not a problem for me. It's a nice clean place with some cute decors and touches.

Yelp
This place has real Thai food if you are looking for great Thai food, the cooks are all Thai. The place is really small, if you come in with a large group make sure you call them in advance to make reservations or they won't be able to fit you in. The papaya salad was really good, I loved the Thai ice coffee. Didn't like the hours of operation. They opened at 1pm and closed at 3:45 then open again at 7:30pm and close at 11:30pm. If the hours weren't so limited I would order the food everyday it was sure good.

Yelp
Very nice Thai place in Barcelona. The food is excellent, the service good. The place is very chilled out and relaxed, the play chill out music and the street right next to it, which is filled with plants and flowers and jasmine, makes you feel like you encountered an oasis in the middle of Barcelona. The place is rather small and usually it is difficult to get a table. The tables and chairs give you the impression that this is rather a place for a small snack, but the food proves you otherwise. We had crispy prawns and minced chicken salad for starters, both delicious. The main was comprised of red duck curry and a more spicy chicken curry and again both very mouthwatering. To finish up we enjoyed some thick rice with mango, that was great but we felt the portion was a little small for the five Euros we had to spent on it. The rest of the food was priced rather cheap than expensive, the mains go for around 8 to 10 Euros and the starters around 4 to 6. All in all, a very nice place to satisfy your curry cravings with good friends. Go check it out.

Yelp
My favourite Thai place in the city - 100% authentic. Be warned that this is a tiny bar converted into a restaurant, tables are tiny, it is very noisy as its always full house, and you would be smelling food being cooked the entire time, and also smell like food when you leave! But if you love Thai food and the real stuff, go for it. You'll definitely repeat :)

Yelp
There's plenty of reviews in Spanish so I figured I'd write this in English. This place is probably the nicest Thai restaurant I've tried in Barcelona (I haven't tried them all though!). The main courses were delicious, very fresh and flavourful. I did enjoy it enough to return a few days later with another friend for lunch. I was actually going to give them 5 stars but I think the quality of the starters lets the place down. I usually love Asian starters (generalizing a bit I know) but of the 5 starters I tried only 2 were especially nice. The other 3 were okay. The service was fine, nice enough. Wine price was good. The mains, however, are worth the trip alone.

Yelp
This little cozy restaurant has found itself one of those secret charming spots in Barcelona, in one of the most beautiful streets in Les Corts. The restaurant holds no more than 30 seats, yet what it lacks in space it makes up in charm. The food will satisfy those who look for the not-so-exotic but also those looking to fill their mouths with the taste of southeast Asia. The price is reasonable and you can have a lunch menu for just 10€. The only con I can think of is that they serve little (33cl) water bottles and given that the food can be very hot, you will need to order at least a couple.

Yelp
I was a regular here for about a year. I always spent way to much money here since it a little pricey, however the food was so authentic and amazing! The ingredients are super fresh and there were many vegetarian options! I tired one of the best Massaman curries here! The atmosphere here is cozy, with recipes written on chalkboards that line the top of the walls around space. The staff is super helpful and always remembered regulars!

Yelp
It was okay had it not been for the food to come out 20 mins behind one. This spot is a hit or miss. It's in the corner of a dead zone where there are no other businesses around. Maybe next time if they can bring our dinner together and I can up a star. Red chicken curry was great but their vegetarian dish (I forgot the name) was very tasteless, almost disgusting and not worth the wait.

Yelp
My husband and I decided to go here because this place had the most rating. It was hard to find since it was in a dark alley and the restaurant barely lit up. They barely speak English but was able to accommodate us. The menu was limited and we did not have an option to decrease the spicy level. The thing that I hated most was that they don't serve noodles, only rice. Not your traditional or typical Thai restaurant. If I had known these facts, I wouldn't have gone here.

Andrew M.

Yelp
It's one of those little gems that you hear about but rarely find live up to the hype. Sure it's small and crowded and the cooking chiles from the kitchen can occasionally make the entire dining room start to choke, but you're not here for the ambience - you're here for the food. Super fresh, amazingly bold flavors, good portion size and the feeling that you're getting the real thing - we've got it on a weekly rotation! Oh - and you must book in advance - it is always packed.

Yelp
Authentic Thai food, in a remote location of Barcelona. It's a great find as the food is delicious and you leave with the sense you have been to the best Thai restaurant in Barcelona. The only reason I take a star away is because I had to wait in line quite some time, but the food definitely made me forget about this.

Meera S.

Yelp
Great food. Tiny restaurant. Make reservations, otherwise the host will get sarcastic with you. Great vegetarian options, but they don't make adjustments to food. My brother and I don't eat eggs, and the waitress said that they could NOT make pad Thai without eggs.

Dani M.

Yelp
Great Thai place. Food came quickly and was delicious. Service was good and pleasant. Loved the coconut curry chicken and both the mango coconut dessert and the coconut ice cream were out of this world (I do love coconut, though). Sweet and sour chicken was also nice. Would definitely recommend this place.

Yelp

Yelp
I was lucky enough to be taken here by some friends on a recent trip to Barcelona, it bought back memories of our gap year travelling SE Asia and Australia. I started with the Larb Kai before moving on to a fiery Green Chicken curry, beads of sweat started breaking out after the first bite. A truly delicious experience

Yelp
The food was delicious!! The place is really small but it's like an oasis in the middle of its neighborhood thanks to its position. Staff was really nice. Will come back for sure.

Sophie D.

Yelp
The food was amazing, cheap and served fast but the restaurant is very small and noisy, so uncomfortable, and the waitresses were very rude.

Nuria P.

Yelp
Super good! But be sure you book because it's a small restaurant and gets crowded quite fast!

Stephen C.

Yelp
Ordered food and waited an hour and half. They just forgot what menu customers ordered. Taste was good though.

Yelp
I had a bad experience here. The two of us entered and we were the only ones there, then ordered. Soon the restaurant filled up. My partner's food arrived quickly, but my pad thai took 20 minutes! They seemed to have forgotten to cook it, and it finally arrived after my partner finished his meal. His chicken basil was way too spicy. My pad thai had very little flavor; too little noodle and too much bean sprouts. The 2E upcharge to add shrimp resulted in just three shrimp. As a veteran of many great Thai restaurants in the US and around the world, we cannot recommend this one.

Yelp
you really need to book in advance. good thai food but small and a bit noisy place.
