Whenever I'm vacationing in Myrtle Beach, I always make it a point to come here. This place has great hours, is family-owned, and makes delicious food. We came here twice on our last vacation and once on this one.
When you walk in, you notice immediately that the space is small and cozy with dated decor. You are always warmly welcomed by the owner who works the register. Her children run the back of the house and do the waiting of tables.
Every time I've come, I've gotten take out, so I cannot account for the dine-in experience. I normally place my order in-person or via phone, and after a 15-20 minute wait, I go pick it up.
I've had the pad thai, papaya salad, drunken noodles, and spring rolls all of which are very good. The papaya salad is probably my favorite. I order it Thai-style, which is nice and spicy and super fresh.
Another review mentioned the pad thai as different, and I'd have to agree. It is not as saucy as other pad thai, so you really have to mix it up to get the sauce onto the noodles. The sauce is also thinner. Still, the portion is large, and it is filling. The drunken noodles are better and have way more flavor, which is what I'd recommend.
I have not yet tried any of their curries but will definitely go for one of those the next time.
Their service is always great and with a smile. When I needed a remake on a dish that was too spicy for my Mom and sister, they gladly obliged. I personally like the spice level but will note that it's not for the faint of heart.
They are open during the holidays, making it really convenient if you're traveling into the area during that time--a great spot for solid Thai food.
