"Bangkok Kitchen makes the best Thai food on the Cape. This casual spot has terrific stir-fried noodle dishes like pad see ew and entrees like the broccoli medley and crispy duck with the tamarind sauce. There are only a few tables inside, so we suggest taking everything back to your rental or eating some mango sticky rice at nearby Kalmus Park Beach." - Jennifer Mattson

Google
One of my favorite restaurants on the Cape. Very small, but huge menu and fantastic food. Sam and his staff are always extremely friendly and welcoming. The food is always hot and fresh. I recommend this place to everyone!!!

Bangkok Kitchen is a hidden gem! If you love Thai food, you’ve got to check out this cozy spot in Hyannis, Cape Cod. We tried their Thai Red Curry and the Thai Chicken and Shrimp Spaghetti, and wow—both were delicious! The owner was incredibly accommodating and mentioned they could handle any special food requests we had. I especially appreciated that they made the Red Curry vegan, per my request, without any fuss. Their service was good. The staff was pleasant, attentive, and quick with the delivery. Their portions were perfect for a meal and their prices were reasonable. While the restaurant may look small from the outside, it offers a good number of parking spots and clean restrooms, which is always a plus. I definitely recommend Bangkok Kitchen!

Google
Great spot!! I have a bad soy allergy, and they were more than accommodating. I order the ginger mix with chicken and they just made it with a different sauce so it would be soy free. It was absolutely delicious!!! 10 out of 10. I wanted to eat a second plate. I will definitely be back when visiting the area again. Staff and I think the owner was very nice!

Google
This is a cute traditional hole in the wall Thai style restaurant. The service is very friendly and they keep the place very clean. I enjoyed the taste of my red curry chicken dish and Thai iced coffee. My spouse ordered the chicken Pad Thai however, wasn't crazy about it. The reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because when you pay close to $40 U.S. for a lunch meal, you shouldn't still leave a place hungry. As you can see in the pictures, the portions here are very skimpy. My dish was mainly sauce. It was tasty sauce but not filling. I am not a huge eater being a very petite person in general and I feel that this wasn't good value for what we paid to dine here, and won't return on that basis alone, unfortunately.

Google
Fast service and nice comfort food.

Google
Massaman curry is the best I've had. Everything made to order and tastes home made. Duck with spicy basil sauce. Or just roasted duck plain. Tiny place, no pretense, but fast service and kind staff. Steady stream of take out orders but we generally eat in.

Google
Absolutely recommend this place!!! Tiny unsuspecting adorable little building with parking in the back. We were able to snag the last table. My gentleman waiter was super friendly and funny too! When I said I wanted spicy, I got a wink and a smile….he had me covered. Lol! Food was delicious and perfect portion sizes. I got the seafood Prik King and would definitely get it again. Saving this place for the next time I’m in town.

Google
We loved this place. It’s quite tiny and very simple with only 5 small tables, nothing fancy, but it was filled to capacity with 16 or so guests dining. The staff were all very friendly and you can tell it’s a real authentic experience with great Thai cuisine that tastes great but also feels healthy. We had Pad See Ew, Tom Yum Soup and Yellow Curry. All were fantastic. The veggies were fresh and not over cooked. The curry was light and healthy tasting. There is no liquor license from what I can tell, so you are restricted to soft drinks but that was fine. The owner perhaps, a very friendly lady, has a beautiful smile and is very welcoming. The prices are so reasonable. We really enjoyed our dinner and look forward to coming again!

Yelp
Why didn't anyone tell me about this place!? Lived all my life on cape and wow have I missed out. As I walked in everyone from cooking staff and front of the house greeted me - which I truly appreciated. I loved the decor inside, and the team helped me place a gluten free pad see ew order, with plenty of other gluten free options to choose from -- They were so friendly and recommended menu options for the future. I will definitely go again, and the portions were very good. Only recommendation would be even larger portions just because of how good it is. Thank you

Cin L.

Yelp
Always amazing. Been here dozens of times. Great local place. Small but can always find seats. All the workers are so nice and attentive. Great thai ice tea. Lunch menu is so goood!!! Must try!!!!

Lauren C.

Yelp
Delightful and delicious! We called in for takeout and the gentleman who answered phone was so kind and shared his recommendations based on what we were planning to order. The pad Thai was incredible with really well-balanced flavors -- I love more tamarind/lime forward pad Thai (versus more sweet flavor profile at other places) and their pad Thai is perfect, perfect, perfect. The pad kee mao, chicken satay and potstickers are all excellent as well and a much welcome breath of fresh air after a week of mostly fried seafood on the Cape. We did keep the fried food party going by getting spring rolls and they were amazing as well. Can't wait to go back -- worth the drive from Harwich Port!

Yelp
I've been eating at the Bangkok Kitchen for at least 6 years now when I vacation on the Cape and I have 3 words to best describe it: flavorful, consistent, and fresh. The restaurant itself is small, maybe a half dozen tables, so I always go between lunch and dinner, maybe 2-3pm, and have no problem getting a table. Parking is tight but is easily accessible just seconds from the roundabout on Rte 28 by the Cape Cod Gateway Airport The service is very good, the food is always delivered quickly, and I have yet to have a bad experience here save for this last visit where two old biddies thought it would be okay to blab out loud about politics in public but that's not the restaurant's fault. I'd rate this restaurant a solid 4.5/5 chili peppers and the best Thai food I've had on the Cape.

Tuli S.

Yelp
Basil Thai was closed!! That is the only reason we came here. Saw tons of great reviews so we tried it out. The soups (tom kha/tom yum) were both very average. Not good or bad. We also got the pad Thai which was also average. Portions were a bit small for the price (in comparison to Boston where we live). Bright side, service was great and the food came out fast! Had high hopes but there is no way we will be eating here again.

Yelp
TIP: park across the street at the staples lot WHEN: Friday @ 6pm Hidden Thai gem in the heart of Cape. Hyannis!!! This is the spot if you want authentic Thai food. It's a very small restaurant, exterior is green color so you can hardly miss it. There are only like 1-2 parking spots in front of the restaurant. We parked across the street at the Staples lot. You know the spot is authentic when local Thai people gets takeouts there. The restaurant owners are a Thai family. The chef (owner) came out of the kitchen to greet some frequent diners. They were very outgoing and welcoming. Dining indoors gets pretty hot due to small restaurant space, and there aren't much air flow w the kitchen being so close to the dining area. There are about 10 tables inside. The server is excellent, she was attentive and accommodating to our needs. WHAT WE ORDERED Pad kra Pao x2 We ordered seconds bc it was THIS GOOD!! This simple pork dish blew my mind!!! It was cheap and friggin delicious with so many different flavors. Only costs $15/ plate. Worth it for the value. I can eat it for days Panang curry The curry was way too watery. It had a lot more sauce than the veggies. I wasn't used to this liquified curry. Tom kha gai soup Very strong coconut flavors and the chicken was cooked very tender. My sister liked this dish since she's on soft food diet. The total came out to be around $60 for 4 entrees which is not bad at all considering it's the cape. I'd totally go back for more Thai food if I vacation again at the cape. Thank you for an amazing dining experience!!

Tony K.

Yelp
Very tasty and fast. Service was attentive. Dining room is small but we were able to sit right down before the dinner rush.

Mike M.

Yelp
The service at this establishment was abysmal. I was compelled to leave without even tasting the food. The waiter, who I suspect was the owner, displayed a shockingly rude attitude when I politely requested additional vegetables on my plate. The initial portion was pathetically small for the $16 price tag plus taxes. In a humiliating display, he loudly retorted, "If you want more vegetables, you have to pay extra!" This was an utterly disgraceful experience. Avoid this place at all costs.

Joan P.

Yelp
This is a great little Thai spot. When we arrived, there was one two top by the kitchen that we gladly accepted. This place is wildly busy with dine in, and takeout. The food is fresh and flavors are on point. It seemed one person was taking care of front of house. There are few tables, the place is small. The food? It is wonderful, authentic Thai food and that's what it's all about for us.

Bob M.

Yelp
Best thai food on the cape. Priced reasonably and cooked to order. Parking is difficult I would suggest parking accross the street.

Peter W.

Yelp
Excellent food and quick service. The beef pad Thai was wonderful as were the dumplings.

Priscila D.

Yelp
Authentic Thai cuisine. Fresh and Delicious food .Great and friendly service! A must try !!!

Juan C.

Yelp
Worst experience in a Thai restaurant-owner was rude and food is meh. We had high hopes based on the good review but it was disappointing.

Kali P.

Yelp
my boyfriend and I go here almost every monday after doing errands. Service is quick and friendly, food is always delicious. We always get thai iced teas, crab rangoon and entrees. 10/10!

Eva D.

Yelp
I seek out the small, mom and pop owned restaurants...especially this one as my husband and I had such fond memories of this place during our honeymoon 20 years ago. The food was super bland. The Tom kha gai was like slurping a warm coconut water with a slight lime flavor. The green curry was watery and was lacking any curry paste. The chicken was slightly tough and vegetables were bland. The best item was the crab fried rice and I'd give that one 2.5/5 stars. I am super puzzled by the 4.5 star rating and wonder if ownership changed recently?

Emma V.

Yelp
Really happy with my order. First time ordering from this place and I'd definitely go again. I got the pad see you and the pad tai. Fresh veggies and good quality proteins!

Crystal L.

Yelp
We were in town visiting family and had a craving for some good Thai food. We got on Yelp and found this little place and decided to give it a try. The building is super small but don't let it fool you. They do a lot of take out business but we were able to sit inside and have a great meal and we had 6 in our party. The service was excellent and the restaurant was clean. The food was amazing! We literally ate every bit of everything we ordered. The Mango curry was a favorite and the dumplings were the best I have had in a long time. Don't pass this place up because it is small, they have huge flavor and we will be returning!

Robo T.

Yelp
Still delicious. Still 5 stars. Friendly service in a small quaint restaurant. So glad they survived covid!!!! This last visit I had the grapow chicken and and a dumpling appetizer. So so good! This is still my favorite thai spot on mid-cape!!

Paul F.

Yelp
Always great! Very consistent, fresh and delicious! Ready quickly for pickup and nice to eat in as well!

Melody V.

Yelp
upon entering this smaller restaurant, i was skeptical at first. but after feasting upon their food, i discovered that their food is absolutely delicious. i genuinely had one of the best pad thai here. it was flavorful, spicy, and savory. additionally, the gentleman is very humorous and welcoming. i definitely recommend coming here if you're looking for thai food.

David D.

Yelp
Best Thai food hands down that I have had anywhere in Massachusetts. Great service, fresh food... nothing beats this place!

E P.

Yelp
Im not sure if there is new owners- as I haven't seen the usual friendly gentleman around. He has made visiting here pleasant and the food was consistent for years. The last two times I went in, I ordered two very different dishes and they were served with the exact same sauce, different veggies. Subpar at best. The cools are not using the recipes that they always have, its not great. Im disappointed because this has been one of my go to's for many years. The woman who has been there seems a bit cranky too.

Shannon C.

Yelp
Delicious authentic Thai food. Teensy little place. Loved the shumai for an appetizer and the curry was great!

Qme L.

Yelp
I'm surprised at all the 5 star reviews. I don't think I particularly have high expectations for thai food but this place wasn't good. We were visiting the cape and were craving Thai food and decided on this place since it had a lot of positive reviews. We called ahead and placed the order over the phone and it was ready in the 20 minute time frame we were given. We ordered several apps/entrees: pad thai, pad woon sen, drunken noodles, pad see ew, summer rolls, wonton soup, and chicken wings. My brother in law couldn't even finish his pad woon sen, which never happens. All the stir fry noodle dishes were so bland. The drunken noodles were pretty spicy for 'medium' spicy. I tolerate spice well and I was gulping down water. Basically the only thing I could taste in the drunken noodles was the chili pepper. Pretty disappointed with the food

Cindy K.

Yelp
Best Thai food in Cape Cod so far. We ordered crab fried rice and it's delicious. The place is tiny but service is excellent.

Marion Y.

Yelp
Came here on a whim looking for dinner- saw it had great reviews. We have great Thai restaurants where we live (NYC and SoCal) but this place is arguably THE BEST Thai food I've ever had- anywhere. A++++

Donna R.

Yelp
Recently moved to Cape as year rounders. Love it! But we have tried and tried again for great thai. tried several places..the reviews here are great, only a 15 min drive. ordered, picked up, only to get home and the order was mixed up. called...not really to be a big complainer (everyone makes mistakes) , but wanted to let them know that someone else might end up with our order. The owner of this establishment was so apologetic ...we didn't want to make the drive again...he insisted on making it right..within 15 mins. he was at our door. The Pai Thai and spring rolls were missing...my favorites! Did not disappoint. It was so delicious! He could not have been more friendly! I gave him a nice tip for coming out and delivering...he would not take it! But I insisted...now that is what you call great service! I highly recommend this restaurant! you wont be disappointed~!

Jeannette M.

Yelp
One of my favored dishes, meaty softy shell crab fried to perfection paired with curry. This dish is enough for two ppl definitely worth trying.

Lacey G.

Yelp
Used to absolutely love this place.... Food is delicious, but the portions as of recent have SHRUNK CONSIDERABLY! In my green curry I had 3 very small pieces of chicken (1 inch by 1 inch in size) in total?!! I thought this was a fluke... but the 2 orders since then have all been seriously lacking in the amount of meat provided.... For $12-15 per order, would expect more than what we are getting....

Kim N.

Yelp
Really good comfort food. Enjoyed the pad see you and the fish cakes. There is some seating but seems most of their business is take out. We did take out and everything was packed well.

Leah S.

Yelp
Awful. We ordered the mango paradise with chicken and the ginger mixed with chicken entrees. The mango was old and disintegrating and the vegetables were soggy. Small portions, tasteless (even though we ordered extra spicy) and overpriced.

Laila D.

Yelp
This is one of the best Thai restaurants we have eaten at! Simply superb! We are from NYC and lived in SF for years, both with abundant delicious Thai cuisine. We ordered the crab fried rice, beef yellow curry and steamed vegetables. It was absolutely delicious. I miss Thai cuisine and this was fresh, balanced and not overly sweet and Americanized like some places. I am so grateful for this nourishing and most flavorful food, and did not expect to find such delicious Thai food in Cape Cod. Thank you fellow Yelpers and Trip Advisor for the heads up!

Colin W.

Yelp
Not the best Thai compared to what's available in Boston area, but still pretty tasty. Will be back.

Sherry M.

Yelp
Food is good. Staff is friendly. Hidden gem for sure. But one thing that would be better if they served alcohol. Even if it was just beer and wine.

Patty R.

Yelp
The food is excellent, service wonderful. Although it is a very small restaurant it is very comfortable and relaxing!

David C.

Yelp
Fresh Thai food at it's best!! The building isn't much to look at BUT THE FOOD!!!! The food was outstanding, and fresh! There are only 6 tables inside so get here early or you'll wait. Yes, it's worth the wait. Take out is always an option also. Service was quick and friendly. A quality product at a very reasonable price point! I will be back for sure! Wicked awesome!!! Thank you

Roni M.

Yelp
Good service.. The food is good, but the nodels is too sweat..less sweat and its will be perfect

Dae K.

Yelp
Had a great dinner! The food was fresh and very tasty and the staff was also very friendly! I would definitely come back here again!

Rachel T.

Yelp
Soooooo good. Best kept secret of the Cape. Food was so fresh and delicious. Staff really friendly. No alcohol was available but the food more then made up for it. Will crave this food for such a long time. Cant wait to go back.

Mark D.

Yelp
This place is the most expensive Thai food that I have ever gotten. $38 for pad Thai and pineapple fried rice. Not worth that price.

Debra T.

Yelp
Reallllly Cape Cod??? This is your pick for best Thai? Uhhhh hell no. The Fresh rolls were 6 bite size mini mini rolls for the price of regular fresh rolls. Boy there's nothing like runny, watery yellow curry! I asked for a bowl of Tom Yum and a side of steamed noodles for my soup. They brought out a teeny Tiny little cup of soup with a big bowl of under cooked stuck together noodles.... reallllly? I could put like three noodles in that cup. When I asked the server if this was a bowl pointing to my soup he said "No....it's a cup" I said "wellI asked for a bowl". He said oh, sorry. And walked away. Any moron could see that those noodles would in no way fit it that wee little custard cup. Nope nope nope. The soup was sub par and to top it all off.... they started SWEEPING the CARPET with straw brooms while we were eating!!!! What kind of crap was that kicking up I nto our food?? Dear lord Cape Cod Thai food aficionados, pull your heads outta your boots.

Jason K.

Yelp
2.5/5 pad Thai, 1/5 everything else. Straight up gave me a cup full of ice with a little cream as a Thai iced tea. To be fair it seems like an overworked family joint. The grandma who took my order shuffling this way and that at 0.1 mph is charming in its own way, but I'll be cursing her smiling crow's feet when I'm shitting this out in 2 hours. If you have to go because it's Monday the other places are closed, ONLY GET THE PAD THAI

Madeline L.

Yelp
Brilliant! Amazed at how wonderfully they combine Bangkok with Cape Cod style :) Delicious tea and soup to start, and the best Thai fried rice I've had outside of NYC! Great service, cute little place - make sure to get here early for the lunch specials!

Justin H.

Yelp
Was happy to find a decent authentic Thai restaurant during our vacation in Cape Cod. We were getting sick of seafood and seeking something different during our last night on the cape. Made a good decision coming here. It is run by a nice Thai family and the menu has a good variety. Seems like they do a good takeout business too. It's not the best Thai food I ever had, but it's decent and stands out enough in an area devoid of diverse cuisine that I give it 4 stars.

Bill S.

Yelp
First a disclaimer. The Bangkok Kitchen is a hole-in-the-wall little restaurant across the street from a Staples and easy to miss as you drive by. But you shouldn't drive by if you're hungry. It's a family owned operation that is very popular with locals, who parade in during lunch and dinner hours to collect their take-out. There's a very friendly give-and-take between the owners and their long-time customers that speaks well for the restaurant. But they are no less friendly to out-of-owners like us, who followed the recommendation of other Yelpers. We loved the Tom Kha Gal (chicken in coconut milk), so delicately seasoned, the crispy dumplings, the mildly spicy lemongrass and the deliciously spicy lab. The servings were plentiful, and we wished we had room for more. Prices are very reasonable, the service quick and efficient. We believe the Bangkok Kitchen is a small gem on the Cape.

Amanda L.

Yelp
Great, small atmosphere. We had a reservation and got there to a reserved table waiting for us. We ordered Spring Rolls and the Chicken Satay as appetizers which had delicious sauces. We ordered and our food was out pretty quickly, plenty of vegan and vegetarian options (tofu, veggies). There are also so many Thai places around but this one is definitely recommended! Small parking lot in back, kind of tight but does the job.

Heather S.

Yelp
This restaurant is clearly a local favorite! While we were there, no less then 5 locals came in for carry out. The family that owns the restaurant treated each like a friend they hadn't seen in ages. The ginger dish was amazing, lite yet flavorful. I highly recommend a visit when in Hyannis.

Jeana P.

Yelp
A gem! Quaint, small dining area with an attentive wait staff. Everything is consistent in terms of freshness and quality. Their Tom Kha Gai is one of the most satisfying soups to have. All of the noodle dishes are loaded with flavor, the crispy Pad Thai has the perfect texture balance while the Pad Kee Mao has the perfect level of spice. The only place I stop for Thai cuisine while on the Cape. Cozy atmosphere, charming workers, consistently delicious meals.

V H.

Yelp
I eat at this restaurant regularly and am always happy. It's a bit of a hole-in-the-wall, in the best way. Painted a light lime green, the restaurant sits defiantly on a postage stamp of a lot on a tired strip of road just south of the airport rotary in Hyannis. If you're in the Staples parking lot, look across the road; if you pass the Taco Bell you've gone too far. The sign says "Thai Food". And the food is great. Solid, aromatic Thai cuisine. Served in a small, clean, slightly quirky dining room which is separated from the kitchen by the counter holding the cash register. On the walls there's a picture of the king of Thailand, some nice wall hangings, and someone's oddly interesting painting of a fox. The staff are very friendly, and ask after my mother when she isn't with me for lunch. Regulars know to give the latch on the door an extra tug on their way out. Be a regular.
