The 18 Best Restaurants in Park City, Utah | Eater

"As the first Thai restaurant to land in Park City, Bangkok Thai has been a Main Street institution since 1994. Chef Wichayanee (“Yanee”) Chayangkura doles out winter warmers in the form of steaming curry and noodle bowls while honoring the beloved restaurant’s history. Start with traditional appetizers like coconut sesame shrimp, roasted duck with steamed buns, and chicken satay before moving on to three-flavor sea bass, pineapple fried rice, and pork belly prik king." - Katie Shapiro

Stopped in for lunch for the 1st time. Great experience here. Really nice atmosphere. Tom Ka Gai soup was delicious! Best I've ever had. We also had the Fried rice with chicken and veggies. Very fresh and a nice clean dish. We asked for peanut sauce and it was so good. It has lots of ginger in it. Deep and rich taste. There is a surprisingly good wine list... More extensive than I've ever seen in any Thai restaurant. Great experience!

We recently visited Bangkok Thai restaurant in Park City for the second time, and it did not disappoint. The food is excellent, with consistent quality and generous portions. Don’t hesitate to ask for a takeout box—it’s worth enjoying again later. The tom kha soup is outstanding, and the lettuce wraps are also a must-try. The restaurant is located in a basement, which can feel a bit confined, so keep that in mind. However, the staff is incredibly friendly, making the overall experience very enjoyable. Highly recommend!

Google
Food was decent, the chicken coconut soup was really flavorful and the lobster summer roll was unique and well balanced. The drunken noodle and lettuce wraps were lacking in the flavor department, which was unfortunate. An additional negative is that they charge a $4 credit card fee, it’s 2024, if you choose to take credit cards as a merchant you should be eating the fee - that is the price for bringing more customers with different payment options to your establishment.

Google
Went there for a weekend getaway with my little family for lunch. Was rainy outside, so thai cuisine perfect for the weather. Starts with chicken satay, Tom yum soup and spring roll. Then we shared with chicken fried rice, Thai basil beef, and lava cake dessert . Fast and attentive service. Prices are a bit higher, maybe because of the location in Park City? Tourist area? Anyway, food was tasty and good portions. Thanks for having us.

Looking for authentic Thai food in Utah? Look no further - Bangkok Thai on Main in Park City is the best Thai restaurant in Utah! They are big on staying as authentic as possible while providing a unique and delicious dining experience. Ownership also recently changed which brought about some great new additions. They also focus on providing amazing presentation like the pineapple fried rice being served out of half of a pineapple! It makes for an extra sweetness and an amazing memory! The portions are massive and can definitely be shared or taken home as an extra meal or two - which makes the pricing of the food a little more tolerable! It is expensive, but Park City always is! I would consider it a hidden gem based on its underrated status with the locals & visitors! It is kind of tucked away and a hidden food place in Utah. You have to enter the from main street and step into the basement to enter the restaurant. They do have a really fun patio seating option as well right on Main Street! It is one of the best places to eat in park city Utah! 📌 605 Main St Park City, UT 84060 🍍 Amazing Presentation of Food ✨ Vibey Outdoor Patio Seating 🍜 Best Pad Thai in Utah 🏞️ Fun park city dinner spots 📈 Underrated Utah Spots

Google
I would say this is pretty average Thai food. I ordered the chicken pad Thai and it did not have a whole lot of flavor. A couple of people that I was with that have been here before said that it used to be better.

Google
Nice place right on Main Street in park city. Prices are very reasonable. We had the Panang Curry, the Pad Thai and the Thai Basil Stir Fry. The Pad Thai was a little dry but aside from that, everything tasted really good!

Google
Indoor and outdoor dining and a separate bar area located off main street. Tom yum soup was absolutely delicious, also the drunken noodles if you like spicy the authentic level was perfect heat for those that love spicy food

Yelp
good food, but I found not one but two hairs in my curry. not busy but kind of slow Service. The ambiance was cool being a basement restaurant, but the waiters on their phones aimlessly walking around killed the mood. Our waiter was very efficient though and made us feel quite comfortable.

Yelp
Ate here for the first time yesterday. Have to say that their mango sticky rice was absolutely phenomenal, and the presentation was beautiful! The ambiance was stunning. I loved the stained glass downstairs in the dining area. I also loved their Thai decor. Their customer service was also pretty great, though it did take a while for us to get our check even though we were one of two parties at the restaurant. The prices aren't super terrible, though. I'd come back again for sure!

Yelp
If you go downstairs, restaurant is to left. The ambiance is cozy and very Thai. Nice menu, it isn't too pricey. I ordered the Tom Kai Gai, chicken coconut soup. Service was quick and soup arrived fairly quickly, I was there at 4:00 so it wasn't busy. The soup was tasty, I would order again.

Carol G.

Yelp
the menu offers a great variety. I had the pineapple pad thai and it was excellent. nice atmosphere in the basement.

DP B.

Yelp
Bland and rather dry food. Loud atmosphere. Far from what I'd call the "fine dining" they are claiming. Not likely to return.

Yelp
The food was terrible. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend this place. The service was okay, but the food was just not good.
google avatar

Tiffany N.

Yelp
I'm so shocked this place has such low reviews. We got the drunken noodles, Tom yum going, and Penang curry. We felt that all the flavors were all point. The soup could've had more to it like more seafood and mushrooms but overall it was good. We loved the Penang curry and it had a baby kick of spice. And the drunken noodles was the best. We had a great meal and quick service
google avatar

Emma T.

Yelp
Easy to order online, pick up was fast and efficient. I got delicious pad Thai with the ability to add in my own spice. The others in my party were also happy and well fed! This place just recently opened and I would go again!

Yelp
Inauthentic Thai food. Mediocre at best. Will not be returning ...................................... ................

Yelp
Great service makes me happy. Tasty food makes me eat. Large portion sizes make me full. A perfect score.

Yelp
We love the Pad Thai special here...All you can eat for $15 AND IT IS ONLY IN THE BAR. It's available right now for either lunch or dinner and was so yummy- lot's of chicken. It was such a large serving that we had it for two more meals at home. We never took advantage of the 'all you can eat' because neither of us could get through half! We were told only one person has ever emptied their bowl to order another. Make sure to ask for the spicy condiments. I ordered medium spicy and then added to taste- little bowls of spice heaven that they bring out. Our bartender, Jake, was really good and made the best Lemon Drop Martinis! He shook it a really long time so that those lovely ice crystals float on top of the martini glass. It was probably the best prepared Lemon Drop I've ever had. And it was a special of the day at $9! I love that they have $9 drink specials. I'm so tired of paying $20 for a cocktail. We are here for 2 weeks but will definitely come back.

Yelp
We needed an easy night so we decided to do to-go, good thing since reservations were needed! The Pad Thai was a huge serving the side of brown rice went well with the entree. Very attentive service considering how crazy busy they were. Highly recommend.
google avatar

Yelp
Nice and intimate location in the basement of a shared building. Our friend had kids in a stroller so it made things a little more tricky than normal. Food was good and portions were huge with plenty to bring home. The staff was friendly and there was not a long wait for the food at all. Street parking only.

Yelp
This is THE BEST Thai food I've ever had, and I eat a lot of Thai food!! We made a reservation for a Sunday night, they weren't completely full, but they did look busy, so I'm sure they're even busier on Friday and Saturday nights. The restaurant has a great ambiance, perfect for a date night or a quiet place to catch up with friends. It absolutely sets the mood to enjoy some comforting Thai food. We started with the large order of fresh spring rolls (8 pieces) and each piece was stuffed full and the peanut dipping sauce was very nice. For entrees, we had the Chicken Coconut Soup (Tom Kha Gai), which was clean and flavorful. We also had the Chicken Coconut Soup (Tom Kha Gai) which was out of this world delicious. I wish I could eat this every day! It was a little spicy, had a great texture, and amazing, rich, flavor. Last was the traditional fried rice with shrimp which was also superb! I find that fried rice can often be lacking in flavor, but this fried rice was packed with flavor. I definitely recommend Bangkok Thai next time you're in Park City!

Yelp
VEGAN REVIEW this place is ok. We got spring rolls, yellow curry, Thai basil, pad see ew. The flavors were pretty good, veggie & tofu is a protein option for all dishes. They are can easily omit egg. Our spring rolls came out frozen (literally frozen, not just cold) in the middle. The green beans in the Thai basil were raw (literally raw, not just undercooked). It gets pretty busy, so you have to be assertive to get service. The decor could use a refresh, chipped plates replaced, etc. However, this is prob one of your best bets for vegan in downtown PC
google avatar

Amber E.

Yelp
OK Thai food - pretty pricey - about $28/entree, and then, if you want rice, it's $6 extra. Also, wasn't very flavorful - at least the pad Thai and pad see ew. Portions were quite generous, though. You could definitely share or go family style.

Yelp
Unfortunately, YELP does not provide me the opportunity to rate negative stars, otherwise I would have done so. So hold on tight, here was our experience... 1) Walking down the concrete steps to the restaurant was a hazard with ice and snow. We helped a father carry his young son down the steps. Mentioned the hazard to the hostess, and we were told that is the property manager's job. Really??? 2) We sat down at our table and were immediately greeted by our waitress with a question of if we were ready to order. No offer for drinks or water and had not been given menus. At that point, we probably should have taken our loss of time and left... 3) We ordered two Singa beers - both arrived warm and when we asked for a Pinot Gris, she wanted to know which one... Hint, there is only one Pinot Gris the wine menu... Oops... 4) When we got the drinks, we ordered appetizers (Spring Rolls). Again, she wanted our entree order... Not very happy when we asked for a bit more time. 5) The spring rolls came, but no silverware or plates... Oops... Had to ask twice to get them. And when we asked if there was any mustard to dip the rolls in, we got a very nasty look (I kid you not), and was told they had ketchup but no mustard. Is this a Thai restaurant, or Burger King? 5) For our entrees we selected Pork Ribs, Drunken Noodles, Fried Rice, and Coconut Sesame Shrimp. All arrived cold... yuck! And even if they had come warm, they were all devoid of any of the spice and flavor one expects from Thai dishes. 6) Then the topper came after we we at the table for 89 minutes. The hostess explained that there was a 90 minute limit on table times. We needed to settle up and leave the table. I guess she didn't account for the 4 tables around us that were empty. Oops... 7) When I mentioned to her how disappointed we were with the food and the service, in her best "I don't give a darn" voice told us she would tell the manager. No "sorry", no question of what could have been done better. 8) All this experience for only $205.79 prior to tip. What a deal!!!

Yelp
We've been here a few times while visiting Park City, and it has never disappointed! Large portions and a great selection of delicious food! The service is not speedy, so don't be in a hurry, and it can get loud and the tables are close together (especially if you have a bunch of winter clothes on). But the food is to DIE FOR! Come on in for some great Asian/Thai ambiance and/or an escape from the usual Park City burgers and pizza!

Ben R.

Yelp
Avoid eating here. The only resemblance to Thai cuisine are the words on the menu. I suspect minimal if any "cooking" going on. You're better off buying jarred curry and pre-made frozen appetizers from any grocery store. To add to the insult, the prices are higher and portions are smaller than nearly any other Thai restaurant. They automatically add 20% gratuity to every check (anticipating your dissatisfaction), and will also charge you $9 convenience fee if you intend to pay with a credit card.

Yelp
Walk in down stairs and got seated quickly, the service was good and the food was also good. It is a smaller space like most on Main Street park City and a little cramped but nothing to worry about, they did a good job clearing the table quick as you finished a plate. It is pretty authentic Thai food and the dish that stole the night is in the pictures, top notch. The asked how spicy out of 5 and we said 2.5 push toward 3 and it was perfect. Grab Rangoon was house made like I've never seen before. My favorite Thai spot in is Bangkok in Columbus Oh and it was pretty close. The peanut sauce is 5 stars with the chicken satay appetizer. If the read this much I will add and agree with other posts that the meals are overloaded with veggies and light on the protein.

Jim M.

Yelp
This place has an incredible selection of gourmet Asian cuisine. I guess my favorite part is that no mono sodium glutamate is added to any dish. I was really impressed with the selection of gluten-free items. No, I am not on some kind of a gluten-free diet but I cannot eat gluten, and most restaurants don't have that as an option. I really enjoyed my meal here. Wine prices seem to be at an incredibly inflated price, but that seems to be par for the city. Service was incredible. Staff was extremely friendly.
google avatar

Larry D.

Yelp
Loud and cramped atmosphere. Service was fair to good. Food was average. Enjoyed the fresh rolls. Hot and sour soup was so so. Pad thai was good. Ordered two chicken curries - most of the chicken was dark meat which is not my preference. Also, not much chicken was in the dish.

Bianca G.

Yelp
Amazing experience! I totally recommend this place, the food was delicious! Our server was very friendly and the atmosphere was very nice! Definitely, I will come back!
google avatar

David M.

Yelp
Looked like a decent place, nice ambiance, etc. The menu was pricey, and we expected top quality, but were very surprised and very disappointed by the appallingly low quality of the food! I got a Pork belly dish and the pork was cooked beyond recognition... it was hard and dried out. I couldn't even cut into some of the pieces! My wife's dish was equally disappointing... overcooked chicken and seriously undercooked veggies, with zero seasoning or any kind of sauce, etc. Don't waste your time with this place, there are other Asian/Thai places in town, try one of those instead!

Theresa J.

Yelp
I had Ray (I believe that's how you spell His name? He resonated sunshine and thus struck me as significant) as my server this evening. I have never had a more pleasant interaction with a server. As someone with celiacs disease, often people dismiss my diet as an LA "trend". I never felt this way with Ray. He made me feel so heard and respected; often overwhelmed with the choices of a gluten free menu, He guided me through the menu with a feeling of safety I rarely feel. The manner of professionalism and care I received was unparalleled. My second time in park city was beyond amplified by this dining experience.
google avatar

Jim S.

Yelp
Located in the heart of Main Street this restaurant has a nice patio dining which is great for people watching and views. The service was friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and they also offer lots of unique beverages. The prices are reasonable and between the delicious food and views I had a nice time. I would highly recommend this place.
google avatar

Yelp
Absolutely horrible . Bad attitude, food was horrible, help staff looked miserable and acted that way. Don't go.
google avatar

Brandon Z.

Yelp
Dishes - Pad Kee Mao, Signature Pork Ribs, Green Curry, Coconut Chicken Soup. Pad Kee Mao - ratio of vegetables to noodles was bad. Too many vegetables and not enough noodles. Protein serving was not great. Lacking of wok hei flavor / smoky flavor from high heat in this stir fry. Just was a normal sauce mixed with wide noodles. Signature Pork Ribs - 2 and a half pork ribs were not "fall off the bone". Seasoning was ok, mashed potatoes needed salt and was too gluey: too chunky. The vegetables on the side didn't really compliment was cohesive for the dishes. This is what Thai restaurants serve? The pork ribs were not enough Thai seasoned. Green Curry - Green curry had good base Thai flavors but it was too sweet. Coconut chicken soup - too sweet, lacking in depth of flavor, and very monotonous.

Yelp
To start the ambiance is poor. The Resturant is located below ground level in a basement. Our biggest complaint is the food didn't seem fresh. Rubbery chicken and died up vegetables. I love Thai food but not this place.
google avatar

Lisa H.

Yelp
Great flavors! My husband had the pad see ew and said it was great. My drunken noodles had great depth of flavor with Thai basil. Noodles were fresh and so good. Portions were generous enough that we both have a second meal. Enjoyed pork potstickers, which seemed homemade.

Damon D.

Yelp
One of our favorite restaurants in all of Utah, We love bringing our family and friends. The food is truly amazing and so grateful it is a Thai restaurant in Park City.

Yelp
After a morning on the golf course with the boys, we decided lunch on Main Street was in order. Because we were overwhelmed by choices and hadn't ventured that far down the strip, my friend quickly decided Bangkok Thai sounded best. PRO: Their outdoor patio sits on Main Street which allows for fresh air and the best of people watching. CON: It fills up fast and doesn't turn over quickly. PRO: The main dining room is decent size with a variety of seating, features Thai accents and colors and creates a comfy atmosphere. CON: It feels a little unassuming, not well labeled and isn't well lit. PRO: Servers are nice, offered suggestions, refilled our waters and brought things out in a timely fashion. CON: Clearly very understaffed, couldn't provide any house made cocktails as the bartender didn't show up for work, and felt the need to share their stresses with patrons. Awkward. PRO: Menu is HUGE and offers a variety of delicious Thai and Chinese eats! CON: Prices are OUTRAGEOUS! While lunch dishes are the only reasonably priced options ($15/dish), the appetizers start at $12 (for a soup!), and main/dinner menu dishes start at $25! YIKES! PRO: Portions are huge, split dishes that want to be shared with plenty left to take home. CON: None! While I know being in a touristy mountain town is bound to take a hit at my pocket book, I didn't expect our lunch (with wine) to cost over $100. Woah! When in Park City, not sure I'll venture back here.

Yelp
My pad Thai was delicious and a huge portion. Couldn't eat it all in one sitting. Pinot Grigio was also delicious.
google avatar

Martha M.

Yelp
This is THE best Thai place in town . Get the drunken noodles, Panang, or any other curry. They are the BEST. I've tried all Thai restaurants in Utah and this is by far the best. The curry's are thick and not watered down. Full flavor!

Shauna H.

Yelp
A party of six, we came in from the cold for a drink in the bar area. Good ambiance, service and unique, excellent craft cocktails. Our group was definitely happy to be seated right away (after others on the strip were advertising an hour wait for even bar sections). After paying the bill, I accidentally left my credit card, but the staff and manager were super helpful getting it back to me. Will definitely return for dinner next time in PC!
google avatar

Carmen V.

Yelp
I would not say is the best Thai I have ever had, but it was super convenient considering the very expensive options in the same Main street, being super hungry and craving the coconut-seafood soup. My soup was way smaller than the ones I am used to at other Thai restaurants and same for my companion but all was good and pretty fast. I don't like dark restaurants with carpet on the floor and that kind of 'smells old in here', but was not there for the aesthetics at that time, so all good with fast and pleasant service.

Whitson K.

Yelp
Visiting Park City for our anniversary. Stopped in for late lunch in a cold day. Nice decor, but food was wonderful. Green curry and wife had red curry. Perfect spices. Really nice staff. If we come back we would recommend. Especially for dinner.

Yelp
This Thai restaurant has quite a bit to work on. Especially when you consider the prices for entrees at 28 and 24 respectively for the Thai Barbecue Chicken and Ginger Chicken. First let me start with the Coke I ordered. I asked for Lime as I do when I order Coke. Never got the lime, but our server was very attentive to her phone at the host station the entire meal. I guess texting your friends is more of a priority. The Coke was so flat it tasted as if it sat out overnight. No carbonation to speak ok. The Thai Barbecue Chicken was a plate of two grilled breasts with steamed broccoli and carrots. The chicken was over cooked and dry. My 6 year old niece would've put something out much better. The Ginger Chicken was much better as the wok oil have the dish some flavor and was not as dry. However, there are more service oriented restaurants to choose from. I had to ask for the check as the server was still at the host podium texting her friends. There won't be a repeat visit.

Aubrey S.

Yelp
Food was fantastic! The flavors were very good. The service and display of the food was good too. We ordered a dish that they served inside half a pineapple and it was fun and yummy! Defiantly going back and highly recommend!

Kathleen F.

Yelp
We ordered the potstickers, pad Thai with chicken, and Panang Curry with shrimp. First off the server, Kim, was outstanding. During the summer the pad Thai is all you can eat and it is delicious. All of the food was fabulous and the wait staff was wonderful. Liked the ambiance too. Would recommend.
google avatar

Lilly S.

Yelp
Was seated quickly. Food was spectacular. Good service. Was very happy with everything we ordered. Ordered the pot stickers, chicken coconut soup, and stir fry cashew cut. Would definitely recommend.

Yelp
Food is okay for Thai food in Salt Lake City compared to New York City service is good and friendly

Yelp
We lived in Thailand for 3 years and we really liked the food in this place!! The Khao Soi and the Yellow curry were very tasty!! The restaurant is a little crowded but it was nice. The service was good. We definitely recommend it!

Kelly G.

Yelp
Great food and big portions!!!! Prepare to bring home leftovers - would definitely go back :) comfort food

Adam J.

Yelp
I took my family here on our summer trip. We got a variety of different foods. Everything was amazing. The service was 10/10. We will make this an annual stop on our family vacation.

Luca G.

Yelp
I went in there with my family and it has a really cool vid super pretty on the inside my server was really nice and attentive and the food was great!!

Whitney W.

Yelp
The food is amazing and you have so many different options. The pricing is very fair for the food you're getting especially for being on Main Street in Park City. This restaurant is in a great location in one of the most beautiful towns! I definitely want to eat there again!! Highly recommend!!

Yelp
We lucked out on a busy Saturday night and got in because a reservation had just canceled. Bangkok Thai has been one of our favorite restaurants for probably about 25 years! We used to go to the one in Foothill Village in Salt Lake. Even though they were busy the service was fast and the food was of course delicious!!! My husband got the Drunken Noodles with Tofu and I got the Yellow Curry with Tofu as well. We both had the spice level at medium and it was spot on! My only complaint was the drink. It was the Mango Mai Tai and was way too sweet.

Peter C.

Yelp
ordered from uber eats. food is bland. sent to me with no utensils. over priced for lack of flavor.
