Always prompt dine-in service, no matter the hour. The food is consistently delicious. Creamy curries, tasty thai tea, and awesome noodles choices, my favorite drunken noodles and that chow mein.

I had the Chicken Pad Thai to-go, and it was incredible! I placed my order online, and they had it prepared within the 10 minutes it took for me to arrive! I was highly impressed at the speed they prepared it and how fresh it was! The Pad Thai was super yummy, and I really enjoyed that their sauce was not too heavy on it! My stomach felt happy afterwards instead of bloated like other times I have a Pad Thai! This was perfect :) Also, the lady who was working gave me a rose along with my order!! SO kind and absolutely brightened my day!! I look forward to returning and trying more dishes!!

Google
I always love Thai food but I had never tried Avocado Curry until this day. Did not disappoint. The Thai iced tea is also delicious! Everyone I was with loved their meals as well (Panang Curry, Pad Thai, Pad See Ew, Ginger Chicken)

Amazing food! Feels authentic and in a nice cosy downtown place!! I regularly come over to grab a nice thai lunch/dinner! Amazing options.. the spicy bamboo stir fry is my favorite

Google
Very good som tam & sticky rice. It actually was as spicy as I wanted it with fresh bird's eye chiles (I ordered "Thai hot"). The khao soy was delicious--I would definitely order it again. If I'm being picky, it could have crunchier noodle on top and more pickled greens, but it tastes great. Big portions. My friend's roti looked good too. I would probably try something with roti next time and get dessert too.

Google
Underwhelming. Very little in terms of flavor profiles muddled with overbearing curry. Pineapple fried rice - all I tasted was curry. All the other components were just lost in the overly strong flavor of curry. It needed more balance. The shrimp were really good, which was the only redeeming aspect. Drunken Noodles. Meh. There was no spice at all. It didn’t have enough sauce and just felt like a stir fry dish. The veggies were good. Mango w/ sticky rice. This was pretty good. My wife loves this stuff so it was mainly for her. Probably the best dish of the three; which is unfortunate. I feel like this place isn’t as good as pre-pandemic. It’s been awhile since I’ve been here. Either that, or there are so many better options out there for Thai food.

Google
I drove by Bangkok@12 Thai many times. I wanted to try them because I loved Thai food. I tried many Thai restaurants in Sacramento and the Bay Area, but not Bankok@12. I finally tried them tonight! They are so good! Food, service, and dining room. I like them all. I have the roast duck curry tonight. I can eat it every day! Lol

Google
It's always a pleasure and a treat when I can stop by and get the pumpkin curry! If you haven't been here make this your next stop! Perfect service, fabulous menue and a pretty atmosphere!

Yelp
Great food and great service! Came here for a work lunch and we had a reservation for our group. After we were seated, we ordered and the food came out quickly! I ordered the spicy bamboo with beef and it was spicy and delicious! Servings here are large and the majority of our group had leftovers. This place fills up quickly so come early or make a reservation!

Yelp
Black Folks Be Warned: My experience was unacceptable. When my group of five arrived, we were completely ignored. Eventually, a server dropped off two glasses of water for a party of five and then disappeared. By the time I had to get up and ask someone to assist us, the ice in those two glasses had melted. We waited 30 to 40 minutes just to place our order, while other tables that arrived after us were promptly served. Our attempts to flag down the waitress were literally ignored. She walked away mid-interaction multiple times. I finally approached the front desk to get someone to acknowledge us and bring waters for everyone. Then came another 45-minute wait for our food, while every other table in the dining room had been served, eaten, and left. It felt like we were being intentionally neglected. To top it off, they tried to automatically add a 20% gratuity, which I refused to pay given the outrageous lack of service. I left no tip and I stand by that decision. There are too many great Thai restaurants out there to waste time or money on one that treats guests like this. Never again.

Yelp
Whenever we watch a show in downtown, this is one of the places we go to. We've tried their curries, curry puff, pad thai, salads and the food is tasty. Recently visited and tried the fried roll and the beef pad see ew. The pad see ew is so good and will recommend. I would say skip the fried roll because for the price there is not much filling inside. It's not worth it. As soon as I got in I was seated right away and in a few minutes the lady who helped me got my order. Food came out fast and she always checked if I am good. Great service. I went evening time and there were other patrons but not so busy. Place is clean. There is a lot in the menu that I would love to try so definitely will be back. Thank you.

Yelp
I've gone here several times because I work down the street and love that they have Khao Soi. I tend to order that but the serving is never consistent. I usually order and will have some there and take the leftovers for the following day. Depending on the chef or the time of day, it feels like the servings are more and less- enough to notice the difference if you order the same thing every time. Then, I order the Roti with Coconut ice cream except they never have coconut ice cream. They should probably take that option off the menu now. Other than that, it's decent but I haven't been back due to the inconsistency.

Yelp
My coworkers have talked about this spot a lot, so when one recommended we go there for our lunch break, I couldn't say no! I ordered the pad Thai and thought it was very tasty! The portion size and price was very reasonable and I liked the proportions of everything it came with. They also went heavy on the crushed peanuts which I love to have in my pad Thai so I really enjoyed that! I also thought there was just the right amount of sauce (not too dry, not too saucy). The service was also very fast for it being lunch break in downtown Sacramento which I was impressed by. I'm sure I'll be back again.

Yelp
I ordered the daily curry and it was pumpkin with chicken and shrimp! It came with a small soup and rice for $19. Very tasty!

Yelp
I visited Bangkok @12 Thai Restaurant in Sacramento, CA on Wednesday, 6/5/24, around noon. I decided to order the Shrimp Fresh Roll and the Chicken Pad See Ew. Both of the dishes had a huge portion and tasted amazingly delicious. The flavor profile was there. The customer service was friendly but lacked a bit of attentiveness. I had to get up a couple of times from my table to ask the staff members what I needed. Overall, this restaurant is worth visiting.

Yelp
**Grubhub Order** Ordered the Drunken noodles w/chicken and Fried Ice Cream (I know, I know. Odd combination) Drunken Noodles w/chicken: 8.9/10 - Good portion. Fresh veggies. Very aromatic. Pretty tasty. Chicken was good, everything was sauced well. However, well, not a however, more so a suggestion. Ask for the chili paste (sambal). Adding that raised it to a 9.1/10 IMO. Fried Ice Cream: 8.7/10 - to be fair, it's good. I feel if it was shared with someone, it would easily be a 9.3/10. After the initial surprise of how good it tasted, I kept eating, and then begin to get the slight taste of the "fried" part of it. The oils and the ice cream was a bit much, it was still crispy though. Sidenote: I didn't taste coconut ice cream. I tasted vanilla ice cream and a syrup splashed on it. Overall, give this place a try. I will try more items and report back.

Yelp
The prices were very reasonable, so wanted to give it a try. The pineapple fried rice and spicy eggplant dish were pretty good. The pad thai had way too much fish sauce - ended up throwing it away along with the pumpkin curry. It just had a weird flavor as well. I have a reward there, but probably won't be using it & will stick with the Thai House of Authentic Ingredients.

Yelp
Decided to try this spot for lunch and definitely want to come again to try more. I ordered the Yellow vegetable curry (medium spicy) w/ white rice and they also included a side salad. The curry was flavorful. The medium spicy is plenty spicy for me and slightly sweet. The vegetables and tofu have a great bite and good texture. I also enjoyed the variety of vegetables included. I ordered pickup and they were nice and friendly. Great spot if you're in the area or looking to try a new Thai spot.

Yelp
The curry here is amazing!! I've enjoyed the green curry from here and I've come back a few times to get it with different meats since I've enjoyed it. The portions are good sizes but the rice is separate so keep that in mind if you enjoy a side of rice with your curry. I've included the full menu since they have many other options to choose from. I'd definitely be coming back to try more!! Food I've tried: Chicken Satay: Green Curry Bowl of rice (ordered separately)

Yelp
This place was delicious! We had a large group and were looking for a place to eat near the Convention Center. The place is simple but food was good quality + delicious and was able to accommodate our large group of 7. Service was great, so glad we found this spot.

Yelp
This is my friends and I go to place when we go to Sac Anime. I like the Pad See ew. The noodles were just the right tenderness. The pork may be a little dry for some, but I did like it. Even though the waiter said it might be a 15-minute wait when he sat us down to get our order, he got to us pretty quick. I assumed it was busy because of Sac Anime/ Labor Day weekend. It's definitely a great place if you want to get lunch in midtown Sac.

Yelp
There was 0% chili in my THAI calamari salad nor my Tom Kha. Still love it, just ask for that chili when you go.

Yelp
Great establishment. In the heart of Sacramento. Recommend parking down the road and walking, Kid friendly (Pad See Ew, great for kids) MASSIVE portions Clean Service is amazing, quick.

Yelp
Delicious Thai restaurant in downtown Sacramento. Definitely has some strong favorites and a couple of under performers. A notable peeve is that dishes like curry and stir fry DO NOT come with rice and you must order it as a side. Food: Chicken satay - 4.5/5 - very good; generous portion size House roast duck curry - 5/5 - so decadently delicious; must try if you're a fan of duck Mango curry with salmon - 5/5 - delicious style of curry for those who love curry and very generous portion of salmon Avocado curry with chicken - 3.5/5 - why is this not green???!!! There are slices of avocado in a yellow curry which seems strange since all the other places that I've had avocado curry had green coloration. Spicy green curry with chicken - 5/5 - a spicy delicious and satisfying dish Pad Thai seafood - 5/5 - very sweet and satisfying; definitely squeeze that lemon/lime to balance the taste Drunken noodle seafood - 4.5/5 - pretty good, but texture was a little off, also not spicy enough and so definitely I've had better versions Kao soy / Khao soi (northern Thai curry egg noodle dish) - 5/5 - most definitely recommended if you've never tried this northern regional dish or if you are already a fan of it Spicy basil fried rice - 3/5 - texture and appearance is impressive but the taste was bland lacking in salt, spiciness as well as weak basil aroma Lemongrass stir fry - 5/5 - excellent flavors; strongly recommended if you want stir fry Thai tea - 5/5 Ambience: Medium sized featuring Thai cultural artisanal decor Service: Fast and friendly

Yelp
The food was very delicious but it took an hour to get someone to take my tables order. Other tables who sat next to us and arrived after us had been taken care of and when we tried to flag down a server, they just left and ignored us repeatedly. Once we finally got our food 30 minutes after placing it, a lady claimed it was because of the "lunch rush" but when we looked around, we were the only table in the restaurant since everyone had left and we had just gotten our food.

Yelp
The foods was ok not to bad l.. I feel for the Service need more improvement I feel rush to order for me this this place is noisyr Really Really Noisy my ears was so ear was so red. I can't even eat my food

Yelp
Good food and great customer service!!! #4 with shrimp (in the pic) on the menu is really good and the Mussman chicken is really really good!
google avatar

Jessica O.

Yelp
Food is always amazing and the staff is always nice. However we had a party of 11 and while I was the first to get my food, we waited 10 minutes for the last person to get their food as if it was forgotten with the large gap of time. It is courteous to wait until everyone gets their food to begin eating but we are all starting to look around. Sadly, mine was no longer hot in temperature.

C K.

Yelp
Atmosphere, place looks uninviting. Maybe the food doesn't fit our tastes, because it does tastes like the Thai food we are used to. Service is fine.
google avatar

Tina P.

Yelp
The food was really super good. Super fresh. I think there is only one guy tonight waiting tables. I don't think he was expecting such a crowd. We were in Sacramento for a convention and apparently the word got out and the restaurant was packed. Everything we had was delicious we had pad Thai with beef, pad, Thai with shrimp, Spring rolls, cellophane noodle salad, curry with beef, with pineapple and rice, and chicken wings,. Everything was super good it's a must try. The atmospheres is not to wow home about but the food it's really tasty!!
google avatar

Yelp
Some of the best Thai food I've had!! We came for lunch, but they were closed (we didn't check their hours before walking over, our mistake). We grabbed a drink nearby and went back for dinner and so glad we did! Staff was nice and service was quick. We had chicken pad Thai and panang curry with chicken. The flavors were soo good, great sized portions. I will definitely make this a permanent visit whenever I am in town!

Yelp
Came here for lunch on a work trip around 1pm and it was empty! The reviews were amazing so I wanted to give this place a try. Service: 5/5 Very kind, attentive and everything came out fast! Thai iced coffee: I really wanted to like the Thai coffee, but it seems very different to what I'm used to in NYC. They didn't add any condensed milk, and instead they added wayyy too much sugar/ sweetener. Personally I would not order again, however I think it would be perfect for someone who likes their coffee on the sweeter side :) Drunken noodle with Chicken: 5/5 Flavor is delicious, portion size is very generous. I wish they gave a tiny bit more chicken though since most of it was only a ton of noodles. Chicken was cooked perfectly and the noodles were nice and chewy! Would come back and order again / or try something new :)! Definitely come and try this place for some good Thai food!

Arianna M.

Yelp
I loved this place! The food was so delicious & you get a good portion for your money. Aside from the food being amazing, the service was incredible. They were very nice & attentive. Good service always adds to the experience which is why I would recommend it here!

Yelp
I mean, come in here every few years for decades, and have to say that this was the worst flavor of Pad KeeNao I have had. The last time I came I made the mistake of ordering it a little extra spicy, which canceled out all the flavors so this time I just ordered it normal spicy and it just doesn't have flavor. There was some heat but sadly disappointed. Interestingly, enough, they've added bamboo shoots, green beans are still there and same with the peppers and onions. Spices what's missing there's no real flavor besides the heat also, the noodles were mushy chopped up crumbled up. I don't think I normally it's like this for a place to meet somebody for lunch because the noise levels off the chart, if you get quick service and that's nice. Wouldn't choose to come here, but wouldn't object highly if friends we're all meeting there.
google avatar

Jackson T.

Yelp
I've been here a few times and it's one of the few eateries that is within walking distance from my work place. This restaurant is in an area of downtown that is notorious for getting hit by cars. I think within the last two years, this restaurant has been hit at least 3 different times from car accidents. But that didn't stop Bangkok from serving great dishes. It's authentic Thai food within walking distance and in downtown. The staff are nice and there are usually state workers in here eating when I'm here. This last time, I was here with coworkers and each of us ordered the lunch special. I had a beef plate with white rice, one coworker got chicken with white rice and last one had tofu with brown rice. I also ordered a Thai lemon iced tea. Everything was great. It was full of flavor and tasted like authentic Thai food to me. I'm glad this place is close by and I may become a regular.

Dao H.

Yelp
Staff and food during lunch are always on point. Highly recommend pad Thai, all curries, and Thai tea
google avatar

Chynita S.

Yelp
First time hubbie and I went to the restaurant however we ordered pad thai and chicken laab but pad thai ended up having a long piece of hair in it once received and Chicken laab was no salt and not that spicy as they said. One server was very rude to hubbie. But ambience is good just the service was not.
google avatar

Nohemy C.

Yelp
Ordered delivery via Yelp app and the delicious food was delivered on time, hot, and without any issues. Only bummer is that the restaurant didn't include sauces like the spicy chili which I requested. I ordered the chicken drunken noodles, tofu pad see ew and chicken pad thai. All were very tasty despite not having the spicy on the side. Obviously that would have taken it over the top. The drunken noodles looked just like the pad see ew except it had more veggies like bell peppers and green beans.
google avatar

Alan D.

Yelp
Nice ambiance! Cozy! Great location! Service was excellent portions are good! The food was delicious! I would go again!
google avatar

Raquel G.

Yelp
Great service. Pad see ew was tasty. I was pleased that I was able to get more broccoli instead of the carrots. Noticed they do a lot of takeout. They even had a sign with a QR code to scan to start your takeout order.
google avatar

Mercedes J.

Yelp
Omg I love this place !! I stop by at least once a week because it's near my office, my favorite dish would be the drunken noodles with shrimp !!! Try it now !!!

Yelp
Bangkok @12 is a Thai restaurant located in Downtown Sacramento that excels in traditional Thai dishes. They have all of the popular menu items like various colored curries, pad Thai, drunken noodles, and more, but the best dish they serve here is the kao soi. Kao soi is an egg noodle dish in a curry sauce accompanied with vegetables, your choice of meat, and topped with a layer of fried crispy egg noodles. The combination of crispy and soft egg noodles topped with the curry sauce creates a bite with multiple textures and tremendous flavor. Bangkok @12 also offers a slightly discounted lunch menu available from 11AM-3PM on weekdays. Give Bangok @12 a try if you're in the downtown area and looking for quality Thai food!
google avatar

Pamela F.

Yelp
A great option for a later lunch in downtown Sac. Go around regular lunchtime (11:30-1) and it's too busy and LOUD! But find the sweet spot after the crowd dies down and you get quick service and terrific food!
google avatar

Jaidan P.

Yelp
This place is down town kind of hidden on the Conner of I and 12th street parking cute little place with authentic decor clean place with nice staff the food is very good I ordered pad Thai and Kao soy the flavors here are very authentic to Thailand flavor Ask lots of questions about the spice level it gets very spicy if you don't check priced well consistent taste 9out of 10 for me would definitely recommend
google avatar

Yelp
I came downtown with my son Jakob to test electric scooters and noticed this authentic Thai restaurant on the corner. After a great ride we decided to try the food. Omg!!! Awesome!!! Calamari is light and crispy very good. We had Thai dumplings which were made fresh. The food was great but being with my son was better.

Madiya N.

Yelp
Great Thai food! Gotta try the red curry it's delicious. Best Thai food in downtown Sacramento.
google avatar

Geoff J.

Yelp
Had lunch here yesterday after the Van Gogh immersive experience which was also very good. The four of us had different selections off the lunch menu and they were all very good so it seems you can't go wrong with the reasonably priced lunch menu. Good value, the complimentary soup was welcome on a cool day, and the service was friendly and fast. Street parking was not an issue and there is a nearby lot as well. Highly recommended.
google avatar

Yelp
Terribly addicting pad kaprow! Can't say enough about it - ordered it several times in one week. Veggies fresh, chicken tender, sauce absolutely divine! As the saying goes - it's like crack. Bangkok @12 definitely delivers on the spice!! Never been to Thailand (absolute dream!), but have eaten at many a Thai restaurants, and keep returning to this gem! Great staff - friendly, accommodating, fast! Compliments to the chef - I'm dying to know your secret to a perfect pad kaprow sauce! Give them a try - many more should frequent Bangkok!
google avatar

Courtney O.

Yelp
Some of the best spring rolls I've ever had! They were so fresh and they did not skimp on the shrimp! Peanut sauce was great. I love their Pad Thai as well and the portions are always huge! They are in the heart of Downtown and sadly their windows are boarded up due to protests, but they're still alive and kickin' and putting out great food! I hadn't visited in a while and it seemed like the food was better than I remembered. I'll be back real soon! Pay them a visit - you won't be disappointed!
google avatar

Monica L.

Yelp
Had the pad se ew with beef spicy and one Thai coffee. Portion size was large and could be shared between two people. Even the Thai coffee was big. I ordered from the dinner menu during lunch time because most of the lunch options were stir fry dishes. I like my pad se ew to be be saucy and less dry so this was perfect for me. Some places make their noodles more dry. The staff is friendly too, so I would recommend
google avatar

Michelle S.

Yelp
Really good food and service . I got the pad se ew with tofu and it was good but I did find it too salty. And the dish just overall didn't look appetizing. As you can see in the picture it was mostly this dingy brown sticky color.
google avatar

Ry B.

Yelp
FANTASTIC chicken pad Thai and fresh shrimp spring rolls. Pad thai sauce and flavoring was flawless. Ordered online before they were open and got prompt text notifications that order was ready. Very nice server that had everything ready to go. Peanut dipping sauce for the shrimp rolls was delicious. I'll be coming here regularly from now on. Prepare to be stuffed.

Yelp
After being a loyal customer of this restaurant for many years, I tried placing an order through DoorDash today for Bangkok 12, but my order kept getting canceled. I called the restaurant to find out what was going on, and they told me they would no longer accept orders from me because of one previous incident where they made my food extremely spicy despite my specific instructions. I had to request a refund for that mistake, and now they're punishing me for it. I explained that it was a one-time issue and that I had even contacted them to let them know what happened. It's unacceptable that they're penalizing me for their error. I only ordered from them because they were two blocks away from my house, but there are plenty of Thai restaurants in downtown Sacramento with far better food and customer service. I remember when this place was called Amarin back in the 80s and 90s, and after it was sold to new owners, everything started going downhill. Shame on this restaurant after spending thousands of dollars throughout the years with them. If you do decide to eat here, do not eat any of the seafood. It doesn't taste fresh. I stay far away from their seafood and only eat the chicken.

Carmena B.

Yelp
Ordered Crab fried rice and added shrimp it's was really good and i loved the portion size didn't get a picture before but i have a lot to take home
google avatar

Roman M.

Yelp
Stopped by for lunch on a thursday while working downtown. While they were busy I was surprised how efficient and quick my to go order came out. I had the drunken noodles and a side of sticky rice. The flavor was great, food was hot, delicious. My only negative is the portion size, it was small. Dont get me wrong it was enough for my serving, however if I had to share it it would have definitely not been enough. It was about $23 bucks for both items and no drink so a bit on the pricy side too. But I guess everything is going up.
google avatar

Thumper E.

Yelp
This is my go to Thai restaurant the food is OUTSTANDING. The prices are really reasonable as well. It's not a really big place which I like a lot. It's a homey kind of place and I love that. The service is awesome the people who work there are really great as well. We come down from Highlands just eat there because we love it so much. People in midtown don't know what they're missing.

Yelp
I revisited Bangkok@12 last night. This is probably my 4th order- because I do believe their noodles- pad Thai, Drunken, and Pad See Ew are super good. Curries are also good, but I've mainly only had the avocado curry with chicken which is mild and creamy- however I do like a curry to have depth and punch but avocado curry isn't on many menus and it is delicious. I also tried the calamari salad this time- I love those diamond cut spicy squids and it didn't disappoint. For me this a a go to for Thai if you are in central downtown. I can't just push it to a 5 star because the flavors just needs a bit more layers for my palate and with soooo many Thai choices in Sac the battle is real for 5 stars. I did like the complimentary roti though! Thanks Thai@12!
