Good source of viet and thai groceries. Organized. So many choices for diffrent types of uncooked noodles. Lady cashier was helpful. Limited parking. Lots of asian condiments too. Found my favorite kiamoy when i was a kid. Good shopping experience.

I purchased 2 bottles of Samb Oelek chili paste when I got home and opened the top lid I noticed that the bottle was already opened as both the seals under neath the cap were already broken open for about an inch. So I checked the second bottle low and behold same thing. I drove back to the store and had them replaced as they were closing, I showed the security guard as he was locking up he was nice enough to grab 2 new bottles for me. He removed the cap and it looked sealed so I really didn’t think much of it and came back home. When I checked the seal at home it came right off and has a strange odor kind of like the product but with a mixture of a chemical maybe. I always purchase this product on a regular basis and the seal is really hard to get off I normally use a knife to cut through to get it off also the color of the product is on the brown so I ended trashing it and purchased a couple of bottles of the same product from Albertsons with no issues. I’ve never had an issue at this store before but something has changed seems a little shady for selling a product like this. I’ve included photos the first 2 are the once I purchased yesterday the third photo is of one I had purchased from Albertsons as you can see you can’t get the seal completely off as they stick to the edges. Needless to say I will not be going back to this store.

Google
Grocery store has everything I need to make any Thai dish I want, that’s enough for me. People they are always friendly, prices are good, and I’ve never gotten produce that wasn’t fresh.

The store had an inviting entrance.

Google
Nice smaller local Thai grocery. Staff is very welcoming and helpful. Was able to find everything I needed, plus some new products and veggies. Unfortunately, the restaurant next to the grocery isn't very good. So if you're hungry while grocery shopping, I recommend you go elsewhere.

Yelp
Best market for Thai food. There are many items here you can't find in most Asian food markets.

Yelp
Relieved and rejoiced to finally find a place nearby that had all the Thai ingredients I needed! Small but good. Sadly the economy has increased prices of course but that's not really the store's fault. PASTES Great selection of curry pastes, chili pastes, and seasoning packets for making things like Tom Kha and Papaya salad (All ranged roughly around $1-2). A selection of jarred sauces like , shrimp pastes, fried chili paste, and other sauces that were a few dollars more. COCONUT MILK/CREAM I focused on the Mae Ploy coconut cream which was $3.79 AROMATICS Aromatics like galangal, lime, and lemongrass are available in both dry powder form and fresh form. The powders ranged from $3-6). You can also get star anise either in dried bags or as a powder as well SAUCE Good selection of fish sauces and soy sauces. Large Viet Hung fish sauce - $13 I also spotted cheaper brands like Tiparos, Megachef, etc THAI CHILI POWDER! Finally. Been trying to find it at all the other Asian markets and it's been weirdly hard. I got my trusted 7oz red top container for $4.99 THAI TEA Thai tea in both canned ($3.39) and bagged instant form ($5) PRODUCE I was a bit sad at first on how small the produce section was but it turns out they actually really did have all the needed basics there. - Green papaya (they only have whole, no pre-shred) - Holy Basil in bags - Turmeric in bags - Thai chili peppers - Galangal $7/pound - Lemongrass stalks (I remember it said either $2-3 but didn't specify any further whether that meant PER stalk or per ounce or per pound, etc - Makrut ("Kaffir") lime leaves in bags (said it was $26 a pound but didnt provide a smaller, more realistic measurement - long beans - daikon - as well as a very modest collection of mainstream produce like tomatoes, onions, button mushrooms, etc CANNED Things like bamboo, including thin or thick cuts They also have my personal favorite jarred bamboo in chili oil. RAMENS They've got a small selection of ramens, also including variations of Indomie Mie Goreng ($1 per bag) and 1-2 Korean selections like Shin Ramen The sections I breezed by included oils, rice, snacks, and a few fridges with meats, eggs, desserts, frozen galangal, miso, etc. Unfortunately they didn't have the frozen precut lemongrass containers you sometimes get at Thai or Viet stores They also take card! It's a tiny tiny store with an equally tiny parking lot, so be prepared expect a full lot sometimes. I luckily found a spot but also noticed that it can be a bit of work to shimmy your car back out when you leave since they're packed so tight Definitely worth a visit though if you need this specialty of ingredients.

Yelp
The discovery of this place was because of dining at Sanamluang next door years ago. Mom went in and found a a specific meat product not available at our local supermarket. And she made something amazingly delicious out of it! Fast forward a few years later, we were blocks away when I reminded her about this place. She asked if we can make a stop so she can make that same dish again. (She mentioned Hubbers might have made a request for it.) I was curious enough to go in this time. I expected it to be crowded because Sanamluang is incredibly popular. We were lucky to find the only open parking spot which happened to be right up front. This place is deceiving! Looks like a no nonsense place looking from the outside but it's pretty big once you get inside! They even have a seafood and meat section at the back. They'll also clean and fry in-store purchase fish. I did notice that most of their products are pricier compared to other Asian markets. I didn't have the need for any, so I came out empty handed. But Mom got the cut of meat she needed to make us dinner this week! Okay first stop (for me.) Being far from home, not sure when I'd come back... if the need comes up and I happen to be around, maybe...?

Yelp
Fabulous Thai grocery store with countless products from Thailand. Sauces, canned goods, jasmine rice, snacks. You name it they have it. The Asian vegetables are super fresh. Chinese broccoli, Yu Choi, morning glory, Thai chili, Thai basil to name a few. They also have Thai sausage.

Yelp
Had everything my Thai wife needed to "adapt" into American society. I am so grateful that someone put in the work to make that store.

Yelp
What a great market! Best place to find Thai products. The people who work there are very friendly and helpful. This is a great market if you're a Thai food cooking enthusiast and trying to experiment with cooking delicious Thai food at home. The market is very organized and easy to navigate.
google avatar

Yelp
For making pho at home, Bangluck has all of the quality agreements for my dish. It's hard to find certain Thai spices and they have all of them.
google avatar

Yelp
they had szechuan peppers at about 1/4 the price of amazon. the women that helped me were so friendly and knowledgable, and this place has a ton of great ingredients you can't find anywhere else. definitely recommend!
google avatar

Alicia W.

Yelp
This was an amazing Thai market. It made me want to find all my Thai cookbooks and cook everything. You will find every Thai ingredient here. Great store!
google avatar

Maruko X.

Yelp
It's a very small grocery market place, located in the busy plaza shared with few other merchants, including a popular Thai restaurant in the area. They sell limited vegetables and meat here, mainly cookings sauces and snacks.
google avatar

Alejandro L.

Yelp
Came here so I wouldn't go to another Thai restaurant and over pay for a decent pad Thai. So...I make my own!! This place has all you need and though things are hard to find - the ladies working there are very nice in letting you know what makes the best home made pad Thai - ingredients and all! Go for it!!

Stacy O.

Yelp
All the ingredients to make my own PHO! My fave place is $20/serving but I made it at home for $2! The Thai Basil and bean sprouts here are fresh and tasty YUM!

Yelp
Stopped by Bangluck Market to pick up ingredients for yellow curry. Mom stocked up on those Thai snacks and dessert. The parking lot capacity is about 10 cars so beware of cars double parking. This small strip mall is also housing a Thai book store and Thai restaurant.

Michael W.

Yelp
My Thai wife (my only wife!) and I drive down from Nipomo, CA, two times a year (~ 350 mi r/t) to Bangluck Market to purchase supplies. What a find! The people are knowledgeable and friendly, and we almost always find what we are looking for. Why "almost"? They do not always have fresh durian or cha-om sot, but nobody else does either. The market smells fresh, and parking is always available. Since it's in "Thai Town", we meet lots of Thais who live locally, and they give us tips to find other non-market things (e.g., Thai books, magazines, and newspapers). Of course we will return a half year from now.

Yelp
I've already been here a couple times whenever I'm in the Hollywood area and it has a pretty good selection of Thai only groceries. They even have Frozen cilantro Roots which is one of the Holy Trinity ingredients for Thai cuisine. Lots of ingredients to make Thai food and the people there are also thai. Of course it's not as big as 99 Ranch or other Asian supermarkets like H mart, but if you're looking anything specific in this cuisine, then I would say check it out. The snacks are also cool and if you have a specific dish that you want to make from a restaurant, I would say this place is more authentic because it's harder to cook with other Asian substitute instead of the country of origin. Parking is kind of hard though so make sure you wait around and either park in the street or wait for parking in the lot. I'm not local, but I'll probably try to check it out if I ever come here again.

Yelp
My favorite Thai market .This is where I buy the ingredients of tomyang soup such as galangal root, lemon grass, Thai chili, kaffir lime leaves. The price is reasonable. Employees are nice.
google avatar

Kuni F.

Yelp
Eating out at Thai restaurant is getting too expensive. I decided to cook myself so I came here for buying ingredients and condiments. They have everything I need and prices are reasonable. I will definitely come back again when I am craving for thai food.

John K.

Yelp
My first time shopping at this store was wonderful. They had all the ingredients I needed. I'm so thankful to the owner, who was so sweet and patient with me, helping me to find the items I needed. I'll be returning.

Yelp
There aren't too many Thai markets in Thai town which is a bit odd. Yelp only comes up with Bangluck and another one down the street. I will say that I end up at the other one just because it's closer but I like Bangluck a lot better. Sure, the lot is smaller but it's free and there's an attendant there to guide you into openings and then rearrange cars as people leave; it was a little unnerving to hand your car to a stranger but it all works out. Bangluck is on the smaller side but it makes everything easier to find and I'm in and out pretty quickly, even if there is a line to get in; again, they're smaller so capacity is watched pretty closely. I find that the price of produce is roughly the same but fresher and I find the staff to be a lot friendlier as well.
google avatar

Paul M.

Yelp
Apparently the only Indonesian grocery in all of West Hollywood. They have all the items you can't find at Super H. Cheap and fresh dry goods.
google avatar

Fahad H.

Yelp
Small store with mostly Thai products (Thai spices, drinks, snacks also have some fresh fruits/veggies).Clean place and friendly staff so if you're into Thai food & stuff this is a good place to go to.
google avatar

Genevieve G.

Yelp
I came in looking for sticky rice, and got so distracted by everything else that I almost forgot what I came in for! They have a good selection of Thai groceries as well as Asian stuff in general. I got excited and picked up a variety of seasoning packets and sauces and some chips (my favorite thing to do when going to a different country is seeing what flavor chips they have). I don't live nearby, but when I'm in the area I'd come back.
google avatar

Olivia K.

Yelp
I went here to gather some thai items for some recipes in my thai cooking book. I drove also to LAX-C the huge thai grocery store -- not good for good quality cooking items (would skip that place unless you need LOTS of vegetables see my other review). They had everything I needed. It was great, including thai chili paste, all the curries, kaffir leafs, thai basil, good quality oyster sauce/fish sauce. I was so happy. But what made it even better was the cashier. She was so great and was giving me tips on how to cook everything included other dishes I didn't plan to make but now I will! She also explained how to store certain items to prevent them from expiring like the kaffir leafs. Anyways 5 stars. Amazing.

Yelp
This market is my GO-TO place for Thai ingredients. Been here a few times Depending on what time of day you go, you may be lucky to snag a parking spot. If not, good luck finding street parking lol The market is located in a mini little plaza. It's a little hole in the wall place but has all the items for authentic Thai dishes. I had saw a thai curry recipe that suggested canned paste curry. So, I knew I had to get authentic Curry. But where?!?! Anyways, I actually came across this market here on Yelp! I have yelped "Thai Markets Near me" lol Gave it a visit.... and low and behold.... I walked down an Isle and there it was..... shelves consisting of different types of canned curry paste. They had red, green, yellow.... you name it. And each can was under $2! I also bought some authentic Thai coconut milk and other items too. Long story short this is my place to stock up on canned curry, thai produce and coconut milk. Anyways, check it out! You'll Never know who you'll run into. I was just here 3 days ago and ran into Chrissy Teigen's mom and her son, Miles lol So sweet Koop

Yelp
Having to be creative during this awful pandemic and eating at home 100% of the time, I needed some Thai ingredients for some new culinary exploration. Let me put it this way: this little market has everything you need at least for Thai cuisine novices; It might not be enough for true Thai aficionados but good enough for me. Kafir leaves in little bags ,fresh and fragrant (hard to get anywhere). Thai basil. Dried shrimp etc... The personnel is very friendly and will help you find what you need. The place is a little tight so you have to be careful as distanciation is difficult.
google avatar

Yelp
This is a relatively small Thai-focused grocery market in east Hollywood. Living in Atwater Village makes it quite difficult to find many legit asian grocery stores... so I was really thankful to find Bangluck Market. They have all the stuff you need for thai dishes at home, and even some ingredients for Vietnamese cuisine such as pho noodles. Recommended if you need Thai ingredients! Friendly customer service and small parking lot in front.

Yelp
Bangluck is right in the middle of Thai Town, located just south of Sapp Coffee Shop and a block above Jitlada. It is small - more mart than market - but packs all the essentials. There is a short rice wall proudly displaying "New Crop 2020", that abuts an aisle with maybe 5 types of palm sugar. Beyond that, tucked in a corner, is the meat department flanked by freezers with fish balls, frozen wontons, coriander root, and other miscellany that I don't know. The produce section is small, too, and you can walk through it in 5 seconds. Somehow it has 3 types of basil. Further along there is an entire aisle dedicated to spices. Oh, and of course, there is durian - frozen, dried, and snackified. Like I said, essentials. Everyone seems to know everyone here, and I only heard snippets of English between all the conversations in Thai. The cashier asked the guy ahead of me what he was cooking today, and he laughed, threw up his hands and said "I don't know my wife just told me to buy these", and said thank you three times before walking out. Really a lovely place.

Yelp
Small Asian grocery with a pretty good selection of items. Teeny tiny parking lot but I suppose most people in the area take public transportation to get there Would return

Yelp
Amazing Thai market!! Incredibly helpful staff! Our cashier helped us to get the ingredients and equipment to make the perfect Thai sticky rice! They have an incredible selection of spices, sauces, pastes, specialty produce and kitchen equipment needed for a delicious and authentic Thai meal. I'll definitely be coming back to restock on ingredients! I also got the pork floss buns and they were pillowy soft and perfectly seasoned as a delicious snack/lunch! I was also able to find fresh makrut lime leaves for curry paste, as well as frozen pandan leaves for making desserts! A true gem for finding these specific ingredients- just note that fresh makrut lime leaves are a summer seasonal item and are not always available. Support locally owned businesses like these and you'll never regret it!
google avatar

Keesha F.

Yelp
Decent mom and pop store, with lots of items you'll need to make thai food. Only wish they had fresh thai curry pastes, then I'd never need to visit the horrible thai store down the way.. I also usually load up on Foco drinks, they have a really nice selection of them and at about a dollar a piece, they're way cheaper than ordering online.
google avatar

Yelp
I love it so much Bangluck Market and Sanamloung restaurant Thanks for your service us it this situation i hope i will right back again All food and thai products are like Thailand
google avatar

Cathy N.

Yelp
Bangluck Market in Thai Town is situated in a tiny strip mall at the corner of Hollywood Blvd and N Kingsley Dr. The parking lot is even smaller than its sister stores in North Hollywood and Reseda, so it's always difficult to find parking space. The store is very small and heavily cluttered, but you will find all that you need for cooking Thai or any other Southeast Asian meals. The first area of the market is full of dried foods, and in the back is its produce section. The seafood and meat area are in an extended room to your right. Thai snacks are my most favorite items on my shopping list. Bangluck Market carries THAYA freeze dried mangosteen and freeze dried durian. They're basically 40 grams of heaven in a bag. The freeze dried mangosteen tastes so good that I forget they are also healthy! Thank you, Bangluck Market, for selling this heavenly Thai fruit snack!
google avatar

Brenda L.

Yelp
This is a great market for Thai grocery items. They carry a variety of Vietnamese foods. I noticed they sell Kirkland saran wrap here (and it was sold out at Costco earlier that day when I went) and that there isn't a lot of vegetable/fruit options. Their meat section is separate from the rest of the floor. My mom and I both almost fell on our way to the meat section because the floor was wet and slippery and there was no sign/grip flooring material. I got an Asian broom here (the best kind of broom you can ever find), tom yum soup base for my hot pot, dried woodear mushrooms for my Vietnamese egg rolls and banh cuon and a few other ingredients. Their house ware section is pretty small and doesn't have many updated or modern items. The parking lot is pretty tiny. The majority of their items are canned or dried goods.

Yelp
One of the waste groceries I ever been and the smell is very bad. The MC #01 lady checked me out was piece of shit and I dinner nothing wrong. All I did was nice and help her put my stuff on the bag. She was not appreciate what I did for her,but said shit in Thai language. If you hate your job leave don't treat people like that and specially we bring a lot of money to your store.

Yelp
As luck would have it, I was thirsty as I was leaving Hollywood. Lucky for me, I spotted Bangluck as I headed into Thai Town. I had the good luck of nailing a spot in the tiny parking lot (Bang!) that the market shares with several other businesses. Luckily Bangluck has a pretty good selection of refreshments, not like some down on their luck corner markets around town. The market is larger than it appears from the outside and has a great selection of items both foreign and domestic. I felt like something different and lucked on to the cooler-case with an assortment of drinks featuring random things floating in suspension - think boba-ish but having the same density as the suspending liquid so the seeds and other ingredients hung in the liquid. I chose something that looked like it had tadpoles in it...it was ok. See picture, also featured in the coffee table book "Refreshments of Varying Viscosities", a must for your next science-geek get together!

Yelp
I just went there. It was so upset about your employees manners. 1 of 2 ladies at the cashier on the left side from the entrance was talking about me after I asked about payment if I could pay a card with this amount. That lady said in Thai to her friend like why little amount wanna pay with a card. Then I asked her friend again how much for that because they were talking too loud I could not hear that clearly. That lady' s still keep saying my ears were not good too that her friend had to repeat again. Hello I'm here. So I did not think I misunderstood for that my ears are very good and I understand in Thai very well. I heard her name, but I don't want to type here.

Yelp
Terrible, foul-smelling, unpleasant experience. I have been here several times, always looking for a specialty Asian item for recipes my wife likes to prepare. This time it was something easy; egg roll wrappers, easy right? Wrong! First, the woman up front sent me to aisle 1 where there was nothing but dry noodles - no egg roll wrappers period. I checked the #1 refrigerator door to eliminate that possibility but not there either. I went back to her and asked again, "please, I need egg roll wrappers - they may be refrigerated, they may be frozen but unlikely they are dry..." She says "oh you mean frozen?" Hopefully, I say "yes! I'll take them frozen or refrigerated! " She says " go to door 14 or maybe 13" Okay, I go. Guess what? No egg roll wrapper... Can you help me? So I get a blank, unblinking stare like I am speaking Martian. No answer, no nothing - but most importantly - no help! Besides the fact that no food market should smell like rotten fish or maybe rotten meat, no retail market staffers should be so openly hostile, unprofessional and unfriendly. I learned my lesson, I am unwelcome as a customer, it couldn't have been more obvious. I'll find another, better smelling, cleaner, friendlier place to trade. Never again. :-( Like Share

Yelp
Just beware when you check out. The receipt does not tell you what kind of vegetable you buy, it just says produce/scale, and of course it comes out higher price.
google avatar

Janna L.

Yelp
Really fun if you love Thai food and market shopping! The store is bigger than you may think. One grocery area turns into another and that turns into a produce area and then a fish/butcher area. I found so many cool things here and nothing that I saw was expired! The prices were super reasonable and I came out with a big bag of stuff for under $20! That included some fresh Thai chiles, a bag of fresh garlic, a fish filet (dover), several fresh shrimp, Pad Thai sauce, various noodles, ginger candy (for that achy tummy), preserved lemons, red curry paste, ham and cheese bakery buns (did not know these had mayo in them - do not get if you are adverse to mayo like me) and the list goes on. I am excited to cook with the things that I got. Thai food is my absolute fave. Service was patient, helpful and sweet. Shop was clean. Parking in the tiny, shared lot is tight but otherwise, all the reasons in the world exist to return here! It is just that place to get otherwise impossible to find items!
google avatar

Kim C.

Yelp
Customer service there is just terrible. The ladies there are so rude and mean, not helpful. Also, there was a sticker price that shows $1.99. They charged me $3.29 claiming it was the wrong price and someone didn't take out the old sticker. Really? I suggest you ask them upfront. I noticed once you check out. Many prices come out differently. I think I'll stick to Silom Supermarket. Bigger and a little friendlier. The parking at Bangluck Market is just horrible and a nightmare.

Yelp
I've become a little bit of a regular at this market due to my newfound addiction to Thai cooking. I love the convenience of the market since it's close to home. I come here to get many of my curries, coconut milk, some produce, jasmine rice, and other essentials for Thai cuisine. I've read reviews about the staff being unfriendly, and though I don't know what may have happened in the past, the staff at this market has always been friendly and helpful to me. One of the gentlemen in the butcher section was kind when I went to purchase some ground pork and chicken breast a few weeks ago. (the only reason I don't give five stars is because I do think the butcher and fish section needs better storage, I wish they would keep the fresh fish in cases so that flies wouldn't be attracted, but it is a small space so I understand it's hard to display everything). I also want to shout out to the kind cashier who helped me find the Kaffir lime leaves in their produce section today. I've wanted to use them in my green curry and pad prik king. She walked me to where they were, even selected a couple bags for me and gave me a tip that I can freeze them for later, so shout out to her to help me especially 10 minutes to closing time. Overall, I enjoy shopping here. Parking is easy, prices are very reasonable, and yes, the staff is friendly. PS, this is the best place to get Thai basil in all of Los Angeles, it's very fresh and lasts me for days compared to other markets where I have to use it that day or the next day. Also, meat quality is excellent and extremely reasonably priced.

Yelp
This is the real deal! If you are looking for Thai/ Southeast Asian spices, sauces or condiments, you can get them here for super cheap. I found fish sauce for $2, a big jar of Thai chili paste for $3 and dark soy sauce for around $3 as well. I also found a couple of my childhood snacks in the candy aisle, like sesame candy! They also have a meat section, which I didn't get to check out, but it looked very busy and the meat seemed pretty fresh.

Yelp
Amazing find. Parking isnt super hard and for Hollywood thats great. Has a lot of hard to find food and always super nice people

Yelp
I have enjoyed learning more about Thai cuisine and how to cook it in my own home and Bangluck has all the essentials you will need to get started. Helpful staff, great selection of hard to find elsewhere ingredients and great prices.

Yelp
What a lovely little well-stocked Thai market. I don't know why I don't come here more often. Perhaps now I will.

Yelp
Clean, organized and reasonably priced items. Definitely come back to shop. I bought a bunch of Thai green tea for only $3.79 per 7 oz bag versus $7.92 on Amazon

Got some great authentic Thai chili flew in from Thailand. I can't stand the ones you get from chinese grocery that is not spicy and marginally different in flavor. Very excited to try later for cooking! They have two types, one mixed red/ green , the other all red.

Yelp
I love this market! Small Thai market with a great selection. I love the canned jackfruit in brine and their selection of ingredients and snacks. They have a small parking lot and there is a lot of street parking too. Definitely coming back here.

Yelp
Stopped by looking for a few very specific Thai items - I found one of two so for having some of my impossible to locate things I give 3 stars. That said - what the prior reviewers said is true. It's a bonanza of sometimes difficult to find cooking things - and in volume. However it has a marginal appearance plus is is not the LARGEST of it's kind. So it is hit or miss to find what you want here. That said - parking is free but tight and limited.
