I came here specifically to try the bánh cuốn and was really impressed by how authentic and delicious it was. My husband ordered the cơm tấm đặc biệt, and I got to try a bit — the grilled pork was especially memorable. It was tender, perfectly grilled, and honestly more flavorful than what I’ve had at other places. The service was also excellent. A friendly gentleman — possibly the owner — was handling everything from taking orders and serving food to making drinks and checking out the bills. Despite being busy, he was quick and attentive. The restaurant is small and located inside a mall, so you have to walk in a bit to find it, but it’s definitely worth it. There’s a great variety of food on the menu, and everything is very reasonably priced.

The food here is so delicious and authentic. I lived in Vietnam for ~18 months, and I haven't tasted many of the flavors I did at Bánh Cuốn Thăng Long in the nearly six years since I've been home. It was a lovely and nostalgic experience. I ordered mì quảng and bánh cuốn Thăng Long. I hadn't had either of these in the States before. Because my husband is less familiar with Vietnamese food and was a little hesitant about the things I wanted, we also ordered gỏi cuốn tôm thịt and bún thịt nướng chả giò for a little more familiarity, as he had already tried these in other restaurants. The bánh cuốn was made well and the nước chấm was delicious. I am somewhat hesitant about chả lụa, but this meat was flavorful and I enjoyed it. It also came with shrimp cakes, which was new to me. They were crispy, but not very flavorful. The gỏi cuốn was fresh and warm and came with warm peanut sauce. This was new to my husband, and he remarked that the textures and temperature were different from what he was used to, but for me it felt like I was right back on the streets of Saigon. The mì quảng was so fragrant and the pork inside was so flavorful. This was a dish I'd only had once or twice when I was in Vietnam, and it made me regret not having it more. It was SO good. The herbs and vegetables that came with it have names I never learned (besides like mint and cilantro), but they are so delicious and perfect. Would absolutely recommend this dish. I tried the chả giò in my husband's dish, and it was the first time I've had good Vietnamese fried spring rolls in the USA. I didn't taste any of the rest of his bún thịt nướng, but he enjoyed it, and it looked great. This was way too much food for two people, but I was just so excited to try everything. We ate as much as we could and left feeling very very full, but it was worth it. Note that the prices reflected in the most recent menus posted on Google are not accurate, as prices have increased from last year. We spent $70 after tax and tip (this being an abnormally large amount of food for two people, so it's understandable).

This place was so sweet. Family owned and the chị was so kind, and gave me great feedback on what I should get. The Mi Quang is so good! Banh cuon was pretty decent for my fix

Google
The food was surprisingly on the bland side, but overall a solid B. The place is a bit small and tables are limited. That being said, service was incredibly fast and they definitely want you in and out. Don’t plan on lingering there for long because they want your table for the next group. If you want to have long chats, go hang out at a boba shop instead. Luckily this place takes credit cards because there are some other restaurants at Eden Center that will only accept cash.

Decided to go here to try conches, and the dish that contained it, Bún Ốc, was excellent. Also had the Bánh Cuốn Thăng Long, Bánh Uớt Đặc Biệt, and Bún Mắm, which were not bad either. The prices are pretty similar to other places in the Eden Center, so no complaints. The waitress was friendly. All in all, another respectable Vietnamese restaurant that serves decent food.

As a Korean who lived in Vietnam for 11 years, I tried Banh Cuon here with my parents when they visited VA from AL. We visited this place for three straight days. Why? Banh Cuon there along with other food were so good. I think for three people, we ordered 5- 6 dishes. No, Banh Cuon itself is already enough for one person, and I eat a lot. But we wanted to try our throwback food we have missed for so long. We missed Banh Cuon, and we haven't had it since we immigrated to America 14 years ago. The sugar cane juice, the food, the loud and busy atmosphere, the customers, and the server who was so friendly to us and who laughed at us going there for the third time. They were all authentic at its peak. The only feedback I do want to give for Banh Cuon (this is from my mother) is to add/ stuff more things inside Banh Cuon. That is all. Taste wise, it was still very very good.

We visite around 6pm on weekday. As food and service quality, DO NOT recommend this restaurant. Food: 2/3. Cold and dry food. It tasted like food was sitting there all day and they just microwaved. And sorry to say, all items we have tasted have been incredibly bland. Even the fish sauce. Service: The unattended server lacked customer service etiquette, engaging in disruptive behavior like using slang on the phone and making loud, heavy noises. I wasn't expecting world-class service, but the experience was unpleasant. Even the business nearby which is selling tofu mainly does a better job than this place

Google
If you’re looking for authentic and affordable Vietnamese food, this restaurant is it. Located in Eden Center, I had a nostalgic time eating here. The food was perfect for eating during a cold winter day, and my tummy felt full and warm after enjoying the delights that they had to offer. We had the mi quang, buon thit nuong, banh cuon dac biet, and buon bo hue chay. What I appreciated the most was the freshness of the vegetables. Iconic Vietnamese cuisine highlights the freshest ingredients, and every dish felt home cooked and simmered for hours. I ate the mi quang and cuon dac biet, and I loved how smooth and warm the soup was. The meat was tender, the noodles were cooked just right, and I didn’t have to add extra seasoning to boost the flavor. It also wasn’t watery/diluted, which I find very common in Vietnamese restaurants throughout the US. It reminded me of being back home with my mom cooking the same dishes. I also love how there’s a vegan option for my friend to try. I had a small taste of their buon bo hue, and the flavor was not lacking whatsoever. The jackfruit and seitan were the meat substitutions, and it was deliciously tender. I also had nuoc mia juice, which was just the right amount of sweet and tang I needed. My only con was that it was $7 for such a small amount. This place would definitely have been five stars had it not taken so long for the food to be served. I understand that it takes time for these dishes to be made, but we did wait up to 25 minutes to get all of our dishes. Would I recommend going here? Absolutely. I would travel all the way to Eden Center from NYC just to feast on these eats. I’d also recommend dining in their other stalls and restaurants to try out the various regional Vietnamese foods.

Yelp
Wow, this was a pleasant surprise. I am a frequent visitor at the nearby Nha Trang, just as much a "hole in the wall" feeling: https://www.yelp.com/biz/nha-trang-restaurant-falls-church I went with a Saigonese friend who did the ordering. We split two dishes: Bánh Uớt Đặc Biệt (#1A) and Bánh Canh Cua Tôm. Both dishes complemented each other and were fabulous revelations. I could almost have it again two hours later. I will definitely return to try more off this unique menu. Yum yum yum.

Yelp
I had to google this, but "Banh Cuon" is Vietnamese steamed rice crepes and "Thang Long" is a historical name for Hanoi, so I'm guessing the restaurant is known for their Hanoi/Thang Long inspired rice crepes. The first item on their menu was exactly that, so I wanted to try it since I've never had it before. BANH CUON THANG LONG (LARGE) - 12.95 This came in a large platter with lots of banh cuons (there were two types: one filled with pork and one filled with shrimp?) topped with fried garlic, beansprouts, cha lua (Vietnamese pork sausage), Vietnamese crispy shrimp cakes?, and fresh basil. The rice paper was a bit soggy and the filling wasn't very savory. Even with the sweet and sour dipping sauce, it didn't add much to it. The crispy shrimp cake was stale and pretty bland. The cha lua was alright, nothing too memorable. However, portion size was large, so if you care about quantity over quality, this isn't bad. My friends got the bun bo hue and vermicelli bowl and they also thought it was just OK. Overall, affordable pricing but we didn't love the food.

Yelp
Solid four. In-laws love this place for the banh cuon (thin rice paper rolls) and the bun oc (noodle soup with snails). The papaya salad we had this day was so refreshing and good. The beef jerky on top was better than usual. The sugar cane drink was ok. They do take credit card. Basic decor. One of the long standing Eden restaurants.

Yelp
I came to Eden Center for lunch and was craving for banh cuon. This place is known for their banh cuon and i have been coming here for their specialty for many years. We came after 1pm and the lunch rush was over so we got seated and our order was taken promptly. The food came out quick also. I ordered: 1. Banh Cuon Thanh Long- this is their most popular dish. You get a combo of the different types of banh cuon filling, cha, and shrimp cakes. Very tasty, generous portion BUT this time, this dish was a tad bit bland. 2. Bun Oc-- this is a Vietnamese tomato base soup with conches. The conches has a nice firm texture and not too chewy. The soup was on the sweeter side. Overall, decent enough but there is another restaurant in Eden with much better bun oc.

Yelp
Walking into Banh Cuon Thang Long was like stepping back in time to my childhood. I ordered the Banh Cuon Thang Long Special, which had all the fixings and was a classic favorite we used to enjoy when I was a little boy. My counterpart ordered the pho and said it was on par. It was incredible to see this establishment still thriving today, delivering the same flavorful touch that made it a staple in our family traditions. Not only does Banh Cuon Thang Long offer an inviting ambience, but the consistency in their flavors over the years speaks volumes about why they are still in business. The authenticity, quality, and dedication to their craft are unmatched. Every bite brought back memories, making this visit more than just a meal--it was a nostalgic experience. A solid five stars for their excellence in food, service, and maintaining a tradition that continues to bring joy to generations. Highly recommend!

Yelp
2.19.24 It's been awhile since I've been to the Eden Center. I was in the area having lunch with a friend so decided to stop by and pick up dinner for me and my husband. I placed an order for carryout, #1. Banh Cuon Thanh Long (rice crepes) for myself and #16. Com Tam Bi Suon Cha (broken rice with bbq pork, shredded pork skin, meatloaf, and egg) for the hubby. Hubby ate his the same evening and enjoyed it minus the egg meatloaf and the shredded pork skin, which he did not eat. I saved my entree for dinner the following night. It was very hearty and tasty. I enjoyed the crepes filled with shrimp and pork and the ham. The fried shrimp cakes (?) were bland and didn't really add anything to the dish other than adding texture. The banh cuon hit the spot for me and fulfilled my hankering. It was reasonably priced given the generous portion. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Only place I go for snail noodle soup. Service is fast and friendly. They have plenty of seats available for large or small groups.

Yelp
This restaurant is known for their banh cuon so I went in there to have what they are known for. The place was empty, service was ok, food was meh. I guess I had high expectations since all of the great reviews says so, but I thought it was ok, very bland in all the dishes we got. They only got one person working the kitchen, so everything must be premade and ready to be heat up. Bun bo hue didn't even look that great, doesn't look spicy, the banh hoi was meh, dad didn't like the meat, something was off. He also complained about the lack of veggies and I have to agree as well. My banh cuon platter didn't have much veggies either. I also ordered banh beo and that did not look like what I was expecting. Overall it looks good but tastes meh. I would have eaten something else if I knew it was like this, but now we know.

Yelp
Was craving some Banh Cuon and this certainly filled the void! Authentic, fresh and delicious! Had a side of pho and my fiancé had the Com Tam, which he really enjoyed. Would definitely go back!

Yelp
Dine-in: Sunday 5/14/23 2:00p We dine-in on Mother's Day. The restaurant is busy but not crowded. Restaurant located inside of a business plaza where there are multiple other restaurants and businesses near by. We got sat fairly quick. My family ordered varieties of dishes. Most of them were pretty average, but I want to point out a couple of error that need improvement. The rice in the Combo Rice Dish was very mushy. And the crispy shrimp cake in the Fresh Steamed Rice Flour Crepes Combo was hard. Overall, foods was average, restaurant staff was good and restaurant setting is small so if you have a big party (more then 10) might not be a good option.

Yelp
The good - food, menu, price, cleanliness. The bad - location not easy to find. The ugly - none.

Yelp
Underrrated Vietnamese food. The OC of the east coast. Vietnamese Californian approved. I get the bánh ướt. I recommend sharing the plates are huge

Yelp
Was in town for a short period of time and found this place online. It's located in Eden Center. Small little place within one of the buildings. A little crapped with space but the delicious food makes up for it. Service was good. Quick and to the point. The rice paste was a bit too soft but the sauce and everything else made up for it.
google avatar

Trang H.

Yelp
We ordered Banh Cuon Thang Long and Bun Rieu. The first dish was really good and reminded me of the banh cuon that I would actually have in Vietnam. The second dish, not so much. I would go back and try more dishes. Cash only. The restaurant seemed clean and services were quick.

Yelp
Eden Center is the heart of Vietnamese food in the DC metro area. Amongst the vast selection of eateries, Banh Cuon Thang Long is sort of a throwback to old school Viet establishments from years past. The decor is bare but the place is bright and pretty clean. The menu here has a good amount of variety - noodles, rice, crepes, spring rolls, all of the classics one needs to get a great meal. The spring rolls here are top notch - full of meat, crispy and fried golden brown. The banh xeo is crispy with a huge bed of fresh sprouts inside. Pho was decent - broth was flavorful but noodles were a bit too much. Meat quality was ok and they gave a lot of beef balls. Bun bo hue was decent, broth had a strong lemongrass flavor but wasn't all that spicy. They have some pretty good drinks here including fresh squeezed sugar cane juice (I didn't get it but I watched as they pressed it when other guests ordered it). Service here was pretty good considering how busy they are and prices are fair. Overall a worthy experience.
google avatar

Martin S.

Yelp
Great Banh Uot with grilled pork and accompanied by fresh veggies. Ask for a fried egg on top! This restaurant always has the freshest noodles and crepes (banh uot.) I always enjoy my meals here. Bring cash as most places in Eden Center are cash only.
google avatar

Leslie N.

Yelp
Small little restaurant inside one of the walk ways in Eden Center. I was so happy with the outcome of the food! I got mi quang and my fiancé got the banh cuon thanh long, both very delicious and flavorful. Seasoning was just right, not bland and not too salty. If you get a chance I definitely recommend trying the mi quang. That one blew me away lol *happy dance*
google avatar

Jeremy T.

Yelp
This hidden little gem is in the hallway of a larger building in the Eden shopping center. There are plenty of pictures of how the food looks so I won't add any, but what I will say is that the food was straight fire! I ordered the baby conche soup which was a little on the sweeter side but still delicious. I also ordered a platter of banh cuon thanh long, this was by far my favorite out of the two and was enough to share with another person. This place had a 15 minute wait which is understandable because people want the legit food they serve here. The only thing that this place didn't have was a restroom in the restaurant, however there was a shared restroom down the hall, with hand dryers..so make sure to pack a little sanitizer with you, or get some near the cash register. Enjoy

Yelp
Wanted some banh cuon / rice rolls so figured I'd try a spot in Eden that specializes in it (aka dish in its name lol). Theirs was pretty good - very soft; could be chewier for my preference but still very tasty. My plate came with two different types, which was nice; I think one was pork and the other ground shrimp. Husband got the bun rieu which was also pretty solid. My favorite was the appetizer - papaya salad with beef jerky; really refreshing for a hot summer day and full of flavor.
google avatar

Daniel T.

Yelp
This is another one of those OG spots at Eden. I've been coming here for around two decades...glad to see them still in business. Whenever you have a banh cuon craving...this is the place to go. For the non experienced Viet eaters...this is a cool specialty shop to check out. Try some authentic Viet food that is not pho or banh mi. I bet you'll enjoy it.
google avatar

Amy S.

Yelp
Came here cuz read that the bun rieu was really good. The place was packed and we didn't mind waiting a few mins for a table. We ordered 1 large banh cuon and 2 bun rieu. The banh cuon I would say is okay... not the best I've had. The texture was perfect but the filling was light and the fried cha lua was too fried. Maybe better as beer food. The bun rieu was not our favorite. The broth was too sweet. The meatballs were just paste pork meatballs no crab. The portion was great for the price but the soup was not what we were looking for. If I were to go back I'd try their bun bo hue which looked really good.
google avatar

John L.

Yelp
Pro: rustic & relaxing atmosphere, friendly staff, good serving portions for the price. Con: limited seating inside. This establishment has been here for a long time and I remember the first time I came to eat here 15+ years ago. Every time I come here for lunar new year or to do my taxes I would make sure to always stop by here for there delicious Banh Cuon. So, today I came to do my taxes and after finishing I stopped by to eat here for lunch. I had the Banh Cuon Thanh Tri which is the crepes without the meat inside and pork sausages in the side. Also order a side of fried shrimp cake because they are also good to eat. After finishing eating I had some left over fried shrimp cake that I wanted to take home and got a to go box and was pleasantly surprised that they included a sauce cup in the box also, that just good customer service in my opinion. All in all, I would highly recommend everyone who come to Eden center to come and try some of this delicious viet food.
google avatar

Su T.

Yelp
This dish is the name of the restaurant, so it is amazing! Freshly steamed and rolled rice crepes with different fillings, crispy shrimp cakes with actual mung beans, Vietnamese sausage/ham, topped with crispy fried shallots, steamed bean sprouts, and fresh basil. Yum yum yum!!! Perfect lunch on the weekend. Finding this restaurant is a bit of an adventure, it's inside the little shopping center, down the hall with other shops.
google avatar

Din N.

Yelp
Ordered a large banh cuon thang long. The mung bean cake was good, not the best, the banh cuon was good but some aren't as slippery texture I was looking for a bit dry? This is a special combo of all their fillings from pork to shrimp and the plain ones too. Nuoc mam was great. Not too salty or too sweet. Definitely satisfied my cravings since my mother is refusing to make them for me. Will be back and try more.
google avatar

Jo M.

Yelp
Enjoyed everything on my first visit! The nuoc mam flows freely here! The rice crepes were good. I liked the lightness mixed with chewiness of the crepes. The banh xeo were crispy and full of sprouts. I had the sugar cane drink. Very refreshing. I could go for another one now! Customer service was good. The staff was attentive and friendly.
google avatar

Yelp
food not really good for servant take out it really bad never got my orders right, the plate where you sit and eat inside and looking good
google avatar

Khoi N.

Yelp
My favorite rice crepe spot in the area. They recently changed ownership and food quality and cleansiness has gotten alot better. Stopped by with some family and we ordered snail soup, #1, 4 and 5 combos They make the crepe really well here and it's not so oily compared to other spots. The pork sausages, shrimp cakes and snail soup are a must order. If you like typical Vietnamese drinks here definitely order the sugar cane drink it's really fresh. They even have a sugar cane station right by the register. Overall this is a great lunch and dinner spot. You can have the rice crepe by itself or with shrimp/ meat stuffed inside. They have plenty of dishes to choose from and food comes out really quick.

Yelp
food: everytime i want banh cuon i would visit here. The only place have best banh cuon. Fish sauce change a bit it wasnt tasty as before, but its ok because main thing is banh cuon. Every times, I come here the food so fresh. Banh cuon is soft, smooth, fresh. Price is reasonable. They give good amount of food and nicely place the food on the plate. We also order "com tam suon bi" it wasnt bad for the price we pay (around 11 dollars). Meat is good rice is ok. First time i had com tam with kimchi which quite weird but it still fine with me. Service: it ok they come order and gone. dont really check up on table but it still fine with me because it small restaurant and she had to bring food for all the tables. Just need to call to ask for whatever you want. Place: it quite small but enough space for couple table. I would recommended try banh cuon and bun oc. Bun oc they give tons of snail and the favor very unique.
google avatar

Jessica H.

Yelp
Was told 10 minutes for takeout when only one table was filled. Waited 35 minutes and had to demand our money back in order to get food, as the restaurant filled up, everyone else ordered, and got everyone else got their food who ordered later. Unclear why everyone got food except us; the only difference appeared to be that everyone else was Vietnamese. Not worth the trouble.
google avatar

Thuong N.

Yelp
Food was okay. It's pretty quiet and small place. We ordered the bánh cun Thăng Long and Bún Riêu. We were a little disappointed with the veggies dish came with bun rieu. Customer service was okay, not that great. I may comeback to try another food and check if their customer service gets any better
google avatar

Dan A.

Yelp
I have heard of this place from many people and was excited to try the food with some friends. The restaurent is pretty small and no fancy in any way but never the less its extremely good.. Their menu was pretty extensive lots of diffirent drinks and desserts and their speciality is dry rice noodles vermicelli.. I ordered the shrimp (banh uot tom) which comes with fish sauce sprouts mixed fresh herbs and of course shrimps. Half way during the meal there was a strom outside and the lights went out so we were provided with lantern for dinner and that was very nice.. Small restaurent but clean and absolutely good food and the service was also very good and fast.
google avatar

chris t.

Yelp
best and most consistent banh cuon and banh uot in the area, hands down. you know the food is amazing when it still hits the same as takeout!
google avatar

Meagan N.

Yelp
Very good! Satisfied my banh cuon craving. The restaurant felt very clean even though the mall that is in does not give off the same ambiance. They also sell cha!

Van H.

Yelp
Food was delicious! Staff was very nice and made sure I had everything I needed before leaving as I had carry out order. I've been coming here for years and will definitely continue to do so!
google avatar

Thomas P.

Yelp
Still the best banh cuon in my opinion in NoVa. I would definitely also recommend the bun oc (snail soup).
google avatar

Linda L.

Yelp
Nestled in this Vietnamese mall, there are many different food options. I was content with starting off our visit at this restaurant. The restaurant name sake- banh cuon can come with a number of different option. Filled or not with various toppings and vegetables. (We got the number 1, and was quite content with it. One half had a meat filling the other half with shrimp. The papaya salad was fresh and flavorful. There is Free hot tea with your meal, but for a few bucks get fresh squeezed sugar cane juice.
google avatar

Beck E.

Yelp
First time having Bun Bo Hue Chay (vegan!!! BBH) here, and I am SOLD. It was unexpectedly flavorful and had a good amount of that umami flavor I am always craving. There was a large variety of vegan protein in my bowl, and I did not find myself missing the original meat version at all. Also got to try some of the banh cuon, and my mom says this place makes the banh xeo just as she likes it. My parents mentioned to me that the weekends are the best time to get the banh cuon from here because they are constantly making the rice rolls fresh to meet demand (... though you have to brave that horrible mess of a parking lot...).
google avatar

Michael N.

Yelp
Food is okay, but nothing special at all. The first time I came here they ran out of banh cuon. Banh cuon is in their name, so that's a bit embarrassing for them. I was so hungry I ordered a rice plate, which was extremely mediocre. I decided to come back a week later to try their banh cuon, which was very disappointing. The customer service isn't that good either. The nuoc mia is watered down and not sweet at all. If you like authentic Vietnamese food that reminds you of grandma's cooking I would steer clear of this place. I'm never coming back to this establishment due to the quality of food.

Dieu N.

Yelp
"Banh cuon" Saigon Crepes or rice crepe (whether stuffed with black mushrooms and minced pork) is a street food that one has for breakfast or all day long. It has to be made to order, fresh, with fried scallions and basil, bean sprouts, and fish sauce. This said, to find a venue that can reproduce that childhood memory is an enterprise fraught with disappointment. But my ship has finally found its anchoring harbor: Thanh long banh cuon, has offerings that taste like home: freshly steamed banh cuon with cha lua (pork roll), fresh herbs, etc. There are other dishes that are tempting like the bun Bo Hue chay (for vegetarians): the very flavor of Hue but vegan version. The service is very nice (thanks to Tram) and the decor tasteful. In sum, a very delightful experience.
google avatar

Katherine T.

Yelp
This is my go to banh cuon place especially when I miss my mom's cooking. For $11 you get a large banh cuon platter, it comes with plain, shrimp and beef filled ones with cha lua (Vietnamese ham) and fried taro. The rice crepe is silky and their nuoc mam is on the sweeter side so it pairs perfectly with the entire dish. The beef banh cuon is my favorite. The bun rieu was pretty solid as well. It was a bit too sweet for me and missing some crab flavor but still an enjoyable dish because it's hard to come find.

Angel P.

Yelp
It was my first time in Eden garden and I had came across this gem. It was so flavorful and
google avatar

Bob N.

Yelp
Order a Banh cuon Thang Long combo. Overall it tastes good and fresh. The only disappointment is the meat filling rolls. The fillings are cooked just like tacos filling, dark, salty, overcooked instead of having light brown texture, sautéed with onions and mushrooms as traditionally made.
google avatar

Tone N.

Yelp
Banh Cuon is one of my top 5 favorite traditional Vietnamese dishes, so when we moved to Virginia from Hawaii all the stuff at Eden Center 7 Corners made us really happy, and I am so thankful for Banh Cuon Thang Long. It does offer several variations of Banh Cuon, Bun Oc, Com Tam Bi Suon Cha, etc. which really scratch my itch, along with some of the traditional drinks that my wife & I typically nickname them as "happy juice." This is a small family business, and while it's not fancy the place is clean, and they do care for the small details. Very friendly group of folks who provide excellent service here. We'll frequent this hole-in-the-wall joint every weekend, for certain!

Yelp
The best banh cuon (Vietnamese's steamed crepe) I've had in the East Coast, hands down! This dish is a staple breakfast item in Vietnam but seems to be lost in America. Banh cuon is just as integral to Vietnamese's culture as pho and banh mi. I'm so glad this place represented this dish correctly. The banh cuon here comes in a few variety: classic with no filling, banh cuon nhan thit (with meat filling), and banh cuon nhan tom (with shrimp filling). If it's your first time here and you don't know what to choose? Fear not! Just get the "banh cuon Thang Long" on the menu, which offers all three types with Vietnamese ham and crispy shrimp cake (banh cong). The banh cuon themselves were very fresh, they come out steaming hot with just the right amount of meat fillings inside. Their banh cong (fried shrimp cake) were bacon-crunchy and added an amazing texture to the soft, delicate bites of banh cuon. The fish sauce was another winner, it was sweet with a light touch of sour, the way it should be in Vietnam. To the uninitiated, their sauce is similar to those you would eat with rice or bun, but fish sauce for banh cuon is tricky, it's always lighter and with a lot more lemon. I haven't tried the other items yet but really, you don't have to. If you are here, just get banh cuon, and get lots of it! Aside from their amazing food, service is top notch. Our waitresses were super polite and professional. I wish all restaurants trained their staff this way. This is a must-visit spot in Eden Center, do not miss out!

Yelp
Gotta love this place. Like many similar Vietnamese joints in town - the decor sucks (it feels as nice as a hospital waiting room) but the food is great. This little unassuming semi-hole in the wall in a corner of Eden Center features some of the most tasty rice crepes you can find. As others have mentioned here, I also really love the combo #1 - it gives you a nice taste of everything from fried shrimp cakes to pain/shrimp/pork rice crepes and some Vietnamese ham topped with bean sprouts. Make sure you douse the stinky fish sauce on this sucker to really get the max taste/flavor out of your meal. That's really the icing on the cake for me. The crepes here always taste great and feel very fresh. I often try their #11 shrimp noodle as well - which has a tomato base and at times reminds me of a tom yum soup. The flavor is quite nice and the texture is rich. It's a great dish to consider on a cold winter's day. Their iced coffee here is nice too. If you give me one of those, along with a combo #1 - I'd say that's the makings of a very fine lunch. Again, this place looks plain jane but the food is far from that.

Yelp
We ordered bang cuon thanh long, and com tham. They were both very good. The banh cuon is their special, it came with the plain, shrimp and beef accompany by cha and cut up deep fried shrimp cake. I also order durian and mung bean smoothie. It was good but next time I will probably do without the mung bean. The service was deffinitely fast, their goal is to make sure you get everything you need but also to turn the tables as fast as they can since it's a small restaurant.

Yelp
This place is great! Combination #1 banh cuon is definitely recommended. You can get your grub on here for cheap.

Yelp
Being from the Midwest, great banh cuon is really hard to find. (The only other great is on the otherside in California). This dish was one of my mom's favorites growing up in Saigon, so I had to stop by and purchase an order to go for the ride back to Indiana. This place certainly hasn't changed since the 90s. I've been coming here since I was a kid whenever we traveled out to DC. Since, its been over ten years since I've had Thang Long, I went with the No.1. It comes with plain, crushed shrimp filled, and minced pork and wood ear mushroom filled crepes. These are topped with Vietnamese pork roll/sausage, bean sprouts, cilantro, fried shallots and some crunchy shrimp cakes. It was very good. But I do have to agree with Andrew H., it would be nice if the fish sauce was a bit more concentrated, so you didn't have to drown your plate. Nevertheless, the flavors were spot on. My favorite was the one filled with minced pork, so next time I'll probably have to go the No.2. Now that I've seen the menu, I'll have to come back for No. 9 - Banh Xeo. **They have a Facebook page that includes a menu! Bon Appetit!
