Craving satisfied… sort of. Mixed experience at Bánh Cuốn Thanh Trì. I had a specific craving for Bánh Cuốn Thịt ($14.99) with bánh cống during my visit to the area this weekend for my cousin’s wedding. The fact that they close at 5 PM and I was nearby at 3:40 PM on Saturday, 7/19/25 helped seal the deal. I came in with my son and we were seated right away. I didn’t read the menu carefully and ended up ordering the Bánh Cuốn Đặc Biệt (same price, $14.99), thinking I could get a mix of toppings with only Bánh Cuốn Thịt. Instead, it came with 1/3 bánh cuốn thịt (which I wanted), 1/3 bánh cuốn tôm, and 1/3 bánh ướt (which I didn’t care for). That was my oversight, but a heads-up for others wanting a specific combo. What we liked: -The Bánh Cuốn Thịt itself was solid: classic ground pork and mushroom, just how I like it. They make it the rolled style instead of flat folded. -The fish sauce on the table was generous, but a bit flat for our taste, adding fresh lime (we asked for extra) really brought it to life. It took about three wedges to get that perfect zing, but once we did, it hit the spot. -They serve complimentary herbal tea (nước mát), which is a nice touch though it was a bit too sweet and diluted for my taste. -Bánh Bèo Chén (8), $9.99 had all the OG toppings I love, especially the mung bean for that Southern region flavor. The thickness was perfect, but unfortunately, the batter was slightly undercooked. What we didn’t love: -The rice sheets were thicker than I prefer, and the tôm filling and egg sheet (offers on their menu-but we didn’t order it) felt like a modern take that didn’t hit home for me. -The bánh cống was a real disappointment: dense, chewy dough with no crunch, no shrimp, and bland mung bean. Just heavy and flavorless. Bánh cống was the main reason I decided to check them out. Other Notes: -Small space, so expect a wait during peak hours. -Plenty of free parking in the plaza. -Big shoutout: They have toilet seat covers! (A rare win at Vietnamese and Asian spots!)

Google
Delicious and authentic Vietnamese food. All of the banh cuon are legit; the bun bo tastes good, too. Reasonable prices. Friendly and fast service. No wonder there's always a line to dine here... even on a regular week day. We'll be back!

Google
Came here for lunch at 12 noon, there was a line which is a good sign. We added our name to the waiting list. Waited 15-20 minutes. The restaurant is small, containing approximately 10-12 tables. Bottom line, it was worth the wait. They specialized in Vietnamese rice crepes. Sweet Vietnamese ice tea was provided when we sat down. We ordered #7 and #8 combo’s. Lots of food & we finished everything because it was so delicious. Definitely add this Vietnamese restaurant to your list for Orange County. The host lady was friendly & courteous. We will definitely return.

Google
It's worth our waiting time. The Bánh Cuốn Trứng Thịt Đặc Biệt (House Special Egg Steamed Rice Rolls) is delicious. Unfortunately, the Bánh Bèo (Water-fern Cake) and Bún Chả Cá Đặc Biệt (House Special Rice Noodle Soup) sold out at the time we ordered, so we couldn't try. They also gave us Nước Mát (Herbal Tea) instead of water which is great.

Google
This is one of my favorite spots for Bánh Ướt and Bánh Cuốn. I usually order the Bánh Ướt with all the toppings, and the dish always arrives piping hot, which I love. The steamed rice paper is the perfect thickness and has just the right texture. The fried yam is served warm and adds a delicious flavor to the dish. The fish sauce is well-balanced and not overly salty. They also serve Nước Sâm for free instead of just water, which is a nice touch. It's often busy, so you'll need to write your name on the list and wait, but the line moves quickly. Keep in mind that they close at 5 pm and don’t accept customers after 4:45 pm. If you pay by credit card, there's a 4% fee. The restaurant is clean and great for groups, though parking can be tricky as the spots are small.

Google
Don’t be fool by the small shop, it’s an excellent hole in the hole that packs a lot of happy customers. It’s not your typical Pho noodle shop, the rice noodles are more delicate with fresh and flavorful ingredients. The specialty is in the store name which we understand is their signature rice rolls dish. Every rice roll dish comes with egg rolls, steamed ham, fried prawn/yams, shallot, bean sprouts and yummy herbs. Recommend #7 and #19. Reasonable price, good portions, and friendly services. Bonus: try the Daboba tea shop in the same mall!

Google
Visiting from Toronto and I had to drop by the OC for some Vietnamese food. This spot was my #1 spot to try because Toronto doesn't have banh cuon rolled with eggs, and accompanied with so many toppings! Got an order with grilled pork and steam plain rolls with egg. Also ordered the banh cuon with egg was nice and fluffy, and gave it a slippery texture like cheung fun. I got the dac biet and I was struggling to finish. Definitely enough for two people if you plan on trying other eateries. I initially wanted to share one plate but we ended up making two orders. They also give iced chrysanthemums tea. 10/10 recommend and will be missing this back in Toronto.

Google
One of my favorite banh cuon and banh canh tom cua places. It gets pretty busy during meal times so expect a wait. Banh cuon: Get This is what you're here for so definitely don't skip this. It was an early morning for breakfast so I decided to get the one with egg. This was still very delicious and comes with all the fixins but ngl I think I would prefer to eggless one. Banh canh tom cua: GET!!!! Omg the broth for this dish was utterly addicting and made my whole morning. Such a rich and delicious broth packed with so much sweet and savory flavors. Everything about this bowl of noodle soup was excellent and I need to come back for this For a Viet restaurant in OC, the service and the inside are a little bit above average if you're comparing to some other places but noting special. Food: 9/10 Service: 6/10 Atmosphere: 7/10 Value: 8/10

Yelp
Hands down the best bánh cuốn I've ever had and from a small business, no less! The rice rolls are silky smooth, perfectly thin, and packed with flavor. I make it a point to stop by every time I'm down in SoCal and I even try to time my visits on weekdays since it gets packed on the weekends. The bánh cuốn trứng (egg version) is an absolute must-try since the soft, golden egg layer adds a rich, buttery depth that takes it to another level. The nước mắm deserves its own shoutout: perfectly balanced, flavorful, and ties the entire dish together beautifully. This place ruly a gem that's worth going out of your way for.

Yelp
we came on a sunday afternoon at prime lunch hour and waited for about 20 minutes, mot bad at all considering there were about 8 parties ahead of us. they get people seated really quickly. unlike most other viet restaurants, the staff were so incredibly friendly. they checked in on us and even asked if i needed a separate sauce because i made mine too spicy. the star of the dish was the fish sauce, i literally drank some as is. i got the dac biet and the banh cuon was perfectly balanced with soft and crunchy textures. as you can see they gave us PLENTY of toppings making the dish well worth it. we also got banh beo, cant ever go wrong with that. would absolutely come back! 5% discount if you pay with cash
google avatar

Marc N.

Yelp
I came at 8 and it was already packed. I ordered the banh cuon dac biet on a recommendation. It's kind of like steamed rice/egg rolls with meat, paired with cold cuts and a crispy sweet potato waffle. The fish sauce had the right punch and tied it all together. Hard to explain why it works, but the simple foods and good textures made it really enjoyable. Service: Kind and efficient Food: So good and so simple Ambiance: Lively and crowded early, feels like a local favorite 9/10 - Straightforward dishes with great texture and flavor that deliver

Yelp
This is my go-to place for banh cuon for its friendly staff, quick service, and well-balanced, flavorful meals. My favorite is number 8: you get a little bit of different types of banh cuon, which was thinly made, as how it's supposed to be. The toppings (egg rolls, sweet potato fritters) were not too greasy and complemented the dish very well. I've come twice on Saturday mornings and there was always a line (which is usually a sign of good food). Don't worry, the line moved pretty quickly and it was worth the wait.

Yelp
Came in a Sunday morning around 10 and there was a lot of parties waiting. I waited about 20 mins and finally got seated. The staff here is amazing, nice, and friendly. The inside of the restaurant is very busy and bit tight. I order a banh cuon thit or pork steamed rice rolls and bun thit nuong cha gio or vermicelli with grilled pork and eggrolls. All of the food came out pretty quickly. I loved the cucumbers in every dish since they were sliced nice and long. The fish sauce for the vermicelli bowl and the rice rolls were different. I preferred the rice rolls fish sauce. The vermicelli bowl was just okay and the eggrolls was mid I wouldn't get this again. The pork steamed rice roll was delicious and surprisingly so filling! I loved the fried yams it was crispy on the outside and perfectly cooked and thick on the inside still dreaming about it it was my favorite item on the dish! They give you free herbal tea and it is so nice and refreshing on a hot day and they are generous with the refills. Overall I would come back and stick with the rice rolls what they are known for.

Yelp
We got the banh cuon dac biet and it was the perfect dish to try a little bit of everything. I really liked the fried sweet potatoes on the top. And the mung bean fried cake was really good too.

Yelp
My friend and I stopped by Junbi right after their Grand Opening in Garden Grove, and we were really excited to try this new spot! I was especially drawn in by the variety of rice rolls I saw on Yelp, and I'm so glad we decided to check it out. We arrived around 1:30 PM on a Saturday and waited about 30 minutes to be seated -- totally worth it! Banh Cuon Trung Thap Cam - 10/10 $15.99 This is the steamed egg rice roll combo, and it was a hit! It came with a mix of egg, pork, and shrimp rice rolls, plus slices of meat and what tasted like sweet potato fries on top -- such a fun and delicious twist. The variety was awesome, and the portion was super generous. Beautifully presented too! I'd definitely come back just for this dish. Banh Canh Tom Cua - 10/10 $15.99 (Large size, only $1 more than small!) Vietnamese udon in a shrimp and crab broth? Yes, please! This soup was loaded -- quail eggs, shrimp, sliced pork, and some bits of crab. The broth was lighter than the version at Brodard, but still packed with fresh seafood flavor. Perfect for sharing, and perfect comfort food! Service The lady who served us was really nice and recommended the Banh Cuon Trung Thap Cam when we asked her which rice roll dish to get, and told her it was our first time there. She also told us a small Banh Canh Tom Cua would be enough, but we got the large since it was only $1 difference. The lady was honest, which I liked. Overall Experience (10/10): My friend and I really enjoyed our meal. Good portions, good value, delicious food, good presentation, and good service. What more can you ask for? They also give you free chrysanthemum or red tea, which is refreshing and has a little sweetness, which is perfect! We will be back! :) As for parking, they have a decent-sized lot, and there was plenty of parking at 1:30 pm!

Yelp
This is one of my parent's favorites and we recently went for a sister get together. The rice crepes are streamed fresh and what makes Viet rice crepe noodles special is the filling and the fish sauce. The toppings take it over the top. The secret though is the fish sauce, which has to lean just slightly sweet. This place does all so well. There's also a good variety of other entrees for people who are not feeling steam rice crepes. In Vietnam, I usually eat steam rice crepes for breakfast. We came here for breakfast/brunch and it was a good thing because they got busy quickly with a waitlist. Strip center parking. Casual. Indoor seating very good customer service. Please come and create your own adventure.

Yelp
One of the best Banh Cuon restaurants in Orange County. All of the food choices are fresh and flavorful--it definitely does not disappoint! The main star of the show is the deep fried sweet potato. Super crispy! And the tea served here has the perfect sweetness and refreshing. This restaurant is definitely popular, so be prepared to wait 40min+ during peak hours. We arrived around 11am on Labor Day Weekend and waited about 45 minutes. Food took quite a bit to come out as well. When we left, it felt like there were even more people waiting outside!

Yelp
Good spot for Vietnamese banh cuon! Large portions fast service and menu that is clear in both Vietnamese and English. A bit expensive but it was enough for 2 meals for me!

Yelp
When it comes to banh cuon, I'm a bit of a stickler with the dishes. A lot of times, the rice sheet is too thick or the their other items just does not mesh well with the collectively. Upon hearing rumors about this place, it became the top of my food priority list. Also helps when a good friend craves this specific dish. Before we go into the food, I wanted to give a nod to service. There is a negative connotation around Asian mom and pop restaurants. This place was actually adequate to good in terms of service. There were responsive and friendly when making recommendations to their offerings. I noticed this right off the bat and liked their engagement. Like any other local Asian restaurants in Garden Grove, it is a bit loud as expected. Let's get into the food! Sheets had good flavors to it. There were on the thin side and I love that they rolled it small. Their offerings of 3 various types on a plate are awesome! Their fried sides was not oily and had good texture/flavors. Made the dish more cohesive all together. I must say, it's hard to find a good banh cuon place in Westminster/GG area. Looking forward to visiting them again in the near future to sample other variations. It's good stuff all around. FYI, wait can be a bit long due to popularity so please be patient. It's worth it. :)

Yelp
Friday afternoon at 12:30 and this place is PACKED! There was a line out and wait wasn't too long, but I still did wait for about 10 mins or so. Place looked bright, and clean enough to dine in. Menu is straight forward. Banh cuon and anything extras you want depending on your taste. Located in a big strip mall with ample parking. Heart of garden grove. They serve free chrysanthemum iced tea instead of water. So refreshing!

Yelp
Overall Experience - 9/10 - The place was in the corner of the shopping plaza and had a wonderful space to eat. I can see why this place has a long wait. The food that we ordered was wonderful. I waited a bit before seating due to the medium-sized restaurant space. The restaurant was in a plaza, so it had some parking. Food - I ordered a Banh Cuon Dac Biet (shrimp, pork, and egg steamed rice rolls with egg rolls, steamed pork ham, fried pork ham, fried prawn cake, fried yam with prawn, fried shallots, bean sprouts & herbs & Ban Canh Tom Cua (Shrimp & Crab Udon) that I shared with a friend. The Banh Cuon Dac Biet was made with wonderful rice paper. The rice paper for the rice rolls was steamed fresh & what made the rice rolls special was the filling and the wonderful fish sauces that were slightly sweet. The sides for the dish were also a wonderful complement to the rice roll. Additionally, the Ban Canh Tom Cua (udon noodle soup) had a wonderful flavor. It reminded me of the Chinese fish maw soup that you get in fancier Chinese restaurants. It was the right flavor and paired well with the rice udon noodles. I would come back to eat the same dishes and order other ones. I see why the line was so long. Additionally, it was also nice that the meal came with a very refreshing iced tea. Overall experience - The dining experience was nice, and the food was wonderful. I would return to order more food because everything was made fresh and too order. I would also try some other dishes on the menu. They also had a wide variety of dishes that people could choose from, depending on what they wanted for the day.

Yelp
Continuation of my search for the best Banh canh cua in USA after having the best one in Vietnam. So far, this is the closest I've had to Vietnam. We also ordered a banh cuon to share and that was delicious. I especially loved the fish sauce for dipping. The only reason I dedicated a star is because they were out of the vermicelli bowls which is the only thing that my partner would've been interested in so he had to settle for a noodle soup which he didn't really like. We came around 2pm and there was still a short wait, maybe 10-15 minutes. However, ordering and food came out quickly. Inside, you can fit quite a few parties with a lot of tables which is good considering how popular this place is.

Yelp
Probably the best banh cuon place in the OC, period. There was a super long line for lunch on Sunday. We probably waited for 40mins, but it was worth the wait. Negatives: -Ambiance can be very busy and noisy, but that's like most viet places. Positives: -Taste, the banh cuon was great. My dad told me that this was one of the best banh cuon places in the OC and he was right. We tried the egg one, the meat one, the pork one, and everything was good. The texture of the rice paper was perfect. It had a chew to it, yet it tore apart easily when you wanted to tear it. It tasted very freshly made too. -service was very quick and the server lady was very kind to us. She remembered all of our orders and made sure we got exactly what ordered. -value, there is free nuoc mat (tea), you get plenty of food and there's an additional discount if you pay in cash. Overall 5/5 We will be coming back again, even if we'll have to wait.
google avatar

Julie H.

Yelp
Small restaurant with limited seating, so wait was a little long. I loved everything component of my dish. The mung bean cake was nicely hot, crispy, and soft inside. Sweet potatoes were so good. I love fried sweet potatoes. The chili on the side was on the spicy side, so be careful when you add it to your fish sauce!
google avatar

Emily G.

Yelp
I've had my fair share of banh cuon in San Jose but I've never heard of them made with eggs so I had to come try 7A (Banh Cuon Trung Thit Dac Biet) The house special came with meat filling and all the typical toppings. These steamed rice rolls were thin and silky. It was perfect and worth every minute of the 15 mins for the food to be made. I came for a very late lunch at 3:30 on a Monday and it was pretty empty so I'm glad I missed the lunch crowd. Server was very attentive and even provided tips on how to get the best taste out of this dish. Dine-in comes with complimentary iced herbal tea which had a slight hint of sweetness. Refreshing and paired well with my dish. I cant wait to come back and try 7B next time
google avatar

Yelp
This spot is has one of the best banh cuon I have ever had in my life. Quite honestly, I don't enjoy banh cuon enough, but after I came here my whole perspective changed. I love how their banh cuon is delicate and each piece is bite size so you can get the best bite each time. It was soft and bouncy. I came here on the late side, so they ran out of the pork rolls, but I had some from my family and they were so amazing. So I opted in with the shrimp rolls. The plate came with fried sweet potatoes, veggies, egg roll, ham. The different components gave each bite so much balance and texture that elevated the experience. This spot is small but I can see how quickly people can be in and out of this place. The service was A1 and very kind. Most def coming back to get some banh cuon next time I'm in OC.

Yelp
Wow. I can definitely see why there's such a long line and why they don't have to open for dinner! This is going to be a must stop for me every time I'm in the area. Delicious banh cuon, delicious bun bo hue, delicious banh cahn. Everything was incredible and authentic. And the lemon grass chili paste they have at the table is amazing, I wish they sold it. Everything is just quality and flavorful. I also like that they give herbal tea if you dine in. You can dine in or order takeout. Both are great options. I was really impressed by how well the takeout was packaged and it tasted so good even when reheated. It's basically always busy but they do keep the tables moving and the restaurant is clean. The server are efficient and friendly. This is a new favorite for me. I'll be back again for sure.

Yelp
Delicious, authentic Vietnamese food. My mom, who was born in Vietnam, says this is the best banh cuon restaurant in Westminster -- that's saying something. Large portions and very fair prices. We had to take half our plates home since it was too much food.
google avatar

Binh L.

Yelp
I absolutely love banh cuon and banh uot. When I was in Vietnam as a kid, there was a vendor selling it down the street from where I was staying so I would go every morning. It's one of my comfort foods and this restaurant makes it really well!! I got the banh cuon trung thit dac biet. Sooo good. I love how it comes with all the extra toppings including egg rolls, steamed pork ham, fried pork ham, fried prawn cake, fried yam with prawn, fried shallot, bean sprouts, and other herbs. The rice paper was soft and fresh and the fish sauce was perfect. I just added the red chili peppers that they have on the side into it because I wanted it spicier. They also provided a complementary sweet herbal tea with my order. I came here earlier in the morning on a Saturday and got seated right away as a result. However, not long after, there was a very long wait outside. The place is pretty small and there wasn't too much seating inside either, but honestly it's worth the wait. Good food comes at a price ;) i'll definitely be coming back!

Yelp
Stopped in to try some Banh Cuon ( steamed rice rolls). I ordered item 7B on the menu: BÁNH CUỐN TRỨNG THẬP CẦM EGG STEAMED RICE ROLLS COMBO with Egg, pork and shrimp. You can see from my photo, that you get a good portion and assortment of rolls. The dish is accompanied with bean sprouts and fried shallots, and a fried yam "hash brown". The dish comes with a jar of nuoc mam (fish sauce) in which you mix your desired amount of chilli paste into for a spicy and tangy dipping sauce. Very refreshing and light food on a hot day. The ambiance of the restaurant is standard strip mall setting, with large appetizing photos of various dishes on the wall. Quite handy if you are unfamiliar with the menu or just undecided on what you should get. Service was very attentive, we were sitted immediatley with menus and water, and our waitress checked in with us often during our meal. Payment was easily done via tap pay. Will be back to try some of their other dishes like Bun Bo Hue.

Yelp
Came back to dine in and taste even better fresh!! Also ordered banh beo, which is one of my fav appetizers, so good!! If you're going on a weekend, definitely expect to wait 30+ minutes, but it's soo good if you have time to wait, I'd definitely wait.

Yelp
Banh cuon thanh tri, what you are to me I cannot even begin to describe. Maybe its cuz banh cuon is my favorite food like my trusty sails during high tide. Your beautiful rolls of white, yellow, brown Make a grinning smile out of my hangry frown Fried fritters, crisp veg, and that steamy banh cuon Will make a girl howl like a wolf at the moon.
google avatar

Vince P.

Yelp
Banh Cuon Thanh Tri is one of them ones forreal. This spot is definitely up there as one of the best places to get an authentic banh cuon experience in OC and beyond! This spot is located in a pretty packed plaza with a decent amount of parking spots. They tend to get very busy during peak weekend brunch/lunch hours so I would plan ahead to put your name down on their waitlist. Wifey and I stopped by for lunch around 1pm and there was about a 30 minute wait. Inside, they have a modest setup with a homey feel and about 8-10 tables for seating. For their menu, they have a bunch of different combinations of noodle, soup, and banh cuon dishes. We opted to keep it simple with two orders of the Banh Cuon Dac Biet. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience. Every bite was amazing with generous portions and packed with textures and flavors. All of the staff here are very friendly, welcoming, and hard working. We will definitely be back for some more delicious food. Banh Cuon Thanh Tri is Viet gang approved!
google avatar

Felicia L.

Yelp
We liked how there were a lot of different textures and flavors, so you never got bored eating the same thing. Everything was so good: the pork rice rolls were soft and flavorful, everything that was supposed to be crispy was crispy, and the garlic chips were a nice touch. However, the shrimp rolls were pretty disappointing, we thought they would use real shrimp but it was just small amounts of shrimp paste in the rice roll. The other rolls were delicious! Bonus: they have free herbal tea for dine in!

Yelp
We came on a Saturday morning around 10am and only had to wait 10 minutes which wasn't too bad. Their service is so fast and their food is so fresh and hot! Great spot for a late breakfast or lunch.

Thao D.

Yelp
This place is delicious and is my go to banh cuon restaurant! I've been here a handful of times but I always stay true to my favorite dishes, #7. Banh Cuon Trung Thit Dac Biet and #27. Bun Bo Hue Dac Biet. The addition of eggs inside the banh cuon is chef's kiss and their BBH is a must try. Their complimentary herbal tea is also refreshing and not too sweet. The restaurant is on the smaller side so be prepare to wait during lunch hours. They're old school pen and paper so unfortunately there's no online waiting system. However, the turnover is steady and there are chairs provided for guests to sit.

Yelp
My girlfriend recommended this place for the best banh cuon and she was not wrong! I ordered to-go for dinner (drove back home to eat it) and the lady was SO nice! I told her it was my first time and I wanted everything! She said "I know what you want" and placed the order. She even gave me a tea to-go when it was only supposed to be for dine in! Such a sweet person. She helped me order the special and it hit the spot! The wrap is so thin and packed with fillings! I must come back next time to dine in!

Yelp
Best Banh Cuon you must make a stop if you are a banh cuon lover. That egg wrap buon cuon is so good and I would never have thought to add the sweet potatoes to the dish. We have come here on two different occasions right when they open and both times it was packed. It's a very small restaurant, but the service is on fast and on point. We had a large group of 10 so they did have to split us up.

Yelp
Came around 10am and the restaurant was pretty busy. Complimentary tea I got the banh cuon special which came with rice paper rolls w pork, shrimp rice paper rolls, and plain rice paper Much better service this time and the food came out hot and delicious The rice paper was delicate and the portion was huuge - each plate came w fried sweet potato, egg roll, steamed veggies, and a fried and steamed pork sausage. Restaurant only had 12 tables but people were eating pretty fast so we only had to wait like 10 min for one to open up They accept apple pay and cc w a 4% surcharge Parking lot is tiny though so be prepared to circle around a couple times

Yelp
This place serves pretty good banh cuon. Normally I came here with my parents when I am craving something thats not too heavy but still filling. It's one of my favorite vietnamese dishes. I suggest coming earlier on the weekend because the way has to get really long with many people signing up on their waitlist. Fortunately, you have to be there in order to sign up in person, and everyone in your party must be present in order to get seated. The place is decent, not smaller, not big, but located in the corner of the plaza. The servers are very quick and friendly. The food tends to come out quickly. I like everything except for their mung bean shrimp cake. It's always really hard like it's been pre-fried and sitting out for a while. Then reheated when it's added to an order. Every banh cuon order comes with pork meat, the mung bean shrimp cake, sweet potato fries. Sweet potato fries are normally really good when you eat them fresh in the restaurant but if you order takeout, it's not as great once you get home. The fried food tends to get soggy on the trip back. So I would recommend dining in rather than doing any takeout. You can adjust the spiciness on the sauce yourself. The restaurant is pretty casual and usually busy until 2-3pm. but they close right before dinner time. I recommend trying this place just be prepared to wait if you don't arrive early.

Yelp
This is hands down the spot for authentic and delicious banh cuon. Banh Cuon Thit Va Banh Uot (#11): 5/5 The presentation alone had me excited before I even took a bite. The banh cuon was fresh, soft, and bouncy, and the meat-filled rolls were seasoned perfectly. The plate came with sweet potato fries, veggies, an eggroll, and a piece of fried bread, adding the perfect crunch to balance out the textures. You also get pork two ways. I highly recommend dipping everything in fish sauce rather than pouring it on top. Service: 5/5 Our server was kind, fast, and attentive. They took our order right away and checked in throughout the meal to make sure we had everything we needed. Ambiance: 5/5 The restaurant is small but clean and organized. Photos of popular dishes decorate the walls, and each table is fully stocked with utensils, condiments, and napkins. Everything was ready and convenient. Overall: If you're craving authentic Vietnamese food, especially banh cuon, this is the place to go. The portion sizes are generous for the price, and the quality is unmatched. Just a heads-up, there's a 5 percent fee for credit card payments, which is pretty common at Vietnamese spots, so bring cash if you can. Delicious from start to finish! Check their hours because they are usually closed for dinner since this is a traditional Vietnamese breakfast/lunch item.

Yelp
This might just be my new favorite banh cuon restaurant in town! I have been eyeing this spot for a while, since they are usually packed with a long line on weekends. Finally, I was able to try their freshly made banh cuon, and I completely understand why people love this spot. I visited on a Saturday morning right after opening. Even though we came early, people started to slowly trickle in throughout the morning. Of course, we had to try their famous banh cuon. It was easily a 10/10. The rolls are silky smooth and topped with delicious portions of fried shrimp, cold cut meats, and fresh veggies. Their housemade fish sauce was amazing as well. We also tried their bun bo hue, and the broth was super flavorful. We definitely understand why people brave the long wait in the morning, and I can say that it is definitely worth it!

Yelp
When you come to any small mom and pop shop and see a line, you know the food won't disappoint. The food here is absolutely PHENOMENAL! This is good place whether you're craving authentic homestyle viet food or you're looking to introduce someone to the savory, complex flavors of the rice rolls. Each dish comes with really great fried yams with prawns. Personally I'd rather have more rice rolls but still delicious! Of course each dish comes with a default steamed pork ham, bean sprouts, and egg rolls. If you're an egg lover, get the #7 - House Special Egg Steamed Rice Rolls. They gently cook l the eggs into the rice rolls and it's incredible. If you have the typical big Asian family, call ahead. While they don't take reservations, as soon as they see your party they start working on getting tables set up for you. Overall an incredible place that you can only find in Cali.

Yelp
Food: 9/10 I chose the #13 Banh Cuon Thit, which consists of pork steamed rice rolls. The dish came with a variety of items on the plate, including an eggroll, steamed and fried pork ham, fried prawn cake, and fried yam. This was my second time trying banh cuon, and it did not disappoint! I also enjoyed sampling all the new items that came with it. They provided fish sauce on the side, perfect for drizzling (or drowning) over everything while eating. Cost: 10/10 The total was $12.99 before tip, which is an amazing deal! Such a great assortment of food for such a low price. Plus, they even included sweet tea on the house!

Yelp
Service is attentive even when there's is a lot of people. Their ice tea is on the house and goes well with any dish you order from them. Location parking is easy and convenient . This location is newer and cleaner than other bang cuon in the neighborhood. Sheet is thin and my first time trying it with the egg. Not bad. Would get it again. It gave it more of a breakfast feeling. It also comes with a huge waffled sweet potato. Wished I had ketchup with that but that's just the non Vietnamese in me. I definitely would come back at my next banh cuon craving.

Yelp
Great food that's consistent and filling. The spacing is serviceable, but the popularity of the restaurant results in the restaurant feeling more cramped than it is. The service is fast, responsive, and very respectful. The walls have pictures of some dishes giving a good idea of what you're ordering. I highly recommend the bún thịt nướng chả giò (vermicelli, grilled pork, and egg roll).

Yelp
This review is only for the banh cuon. I never had banh cuon with eggs with meat before. It was different & good. We got the banh cuon 7A & 7B. 7A: 2 egg banh cuon with meat & all of the fixings! 7B: 1 egg, 1 shrimp & 1 meat banh cuon & and all of the fixings! We went on a Thurs at 1PM. It was packed but we waited for 15 mins for a table of 3. By the time we sat down & ordered. 1:30 there were no wait for tables. So I suggest going after 1:30PM to avoid lines. We definitely will be back!

Yelp
My family's go to place whenever we're down in SoCal. This place never disappoints us and the price is too good! We've been going here for years and no other banh cuon in the Bay Area compares to thanh tri. The rice sheet itself is not oily and it doesn't make you feel very icky after eating. The sweet potato, egg roll, and the mung bean cake very crispy. However, I wished the mung bean had more beans in it. Of course it paired well with their refreshing herbal drink that's free! Would highly recommend coming to this place. The staff is friendly and the vibes are good. It gets pretty crowded in the afternoon so come in early!

Yelp
This place always have a long line for lunch, and it has always been on my list. Last Saturday, we finally have a chance to check it out! Though it is not the best banh cuon place I ever have in OC, It is very solid and I like how it has a variety of dishes. Located in a small plaza, parking is limited Ambience (7/10): We waited for around 40 mins to get in. The restaurant itself is small. Me and my partner both notice that the floor and table were sticky. Food (8/10): I got the banh cuon trung thit dac biet and my partner got the banh cuon thit dac biet. What stands out to me is that they have a variety of different kind of banh in the dac biet (banh cuon trung, banh cuon tom, banh cuon thit, banh uot, fried prawn cake, fried pork ham). I like that since it means we get to try many things at once. The banh cuon was fresh, however, the nuoc mam is not as candied as other places like banh cuon Luu Luyen. I also notice that the meat in the banh cuon is not as filling. Though I did not order it, I appreciate that the have banh uot/banh cuon thit nuong, as I notice it is not as common in OC. I would definitely try it and the bun bo hue next time. Price (8/10): Reasonable Service (8/10): Nice service, they offered free chrysanthemum ice tea instead of water and it was pretty nice!

Yelp
One of my friend introduced me to banh cuon thanh tri, and I have to say, this is my new favorite place to eat banh cuon. The banh cuon here is absolutely delicious, My go to order is the banh cuon dac biet, #8, it comes with banh cuon thit, banh cuon tom, banh uoc, egg roll, banh cong, banh khoai lang. The portions are huge and fresh. I love the fish sauce/nuoc mam, it comes in a mason jar so you can pour as much as you want. The side of fresh chili are spicy and really good the nuoc mam. Ive gone here multiple times with different people and they all love the banh cuon here, even my parents who are hard to please said it tasted really good. The wait/line does get pretty long and crazy sometimes, especially lunch/ weekend. Parking can be tight and hard also, even though it's a big parking lot. Overall one of the best banh cuon place in OC, you won't be disappointed. Just get the #8 banh cuon dac biet.

Yelp
I always take everyone who wants Viet food here and they all love it. Their banh uot and banh cuon are so fresh and their portion sizes are big!! Just be wary this spot has a wait around 11-12ish so be prepared to wait around an hour or so on the weekends and some weekdays. They serve complimentary nuoc mat here and many various forms of banh uot/ banh cuon and soup!! Not to mention even though it's always busy there the staff is always attentive and super friendly. Definitely my go to spot for banh cuon whenever I'm in garden grove!

Yelp
Great service! Love this Vietnamese Dish for a quick lunch or great dinner! The service is fast and efficient! I love the staff and they work very well together! Best Banh Cuon Restaurant in California! #11 is the best/ and they serve the best hot and ready egg rolls!
