The 25 Best Restaurants In Orlando 2024

"Ask around for the best bánh mì in Orlando, and lots of folks will send you here (including us). This simple shop nails every aspect of a bánh mì: The still-warm baguette crackles when you grip it and the meat-to-herb-to-vegetable ratios are all perfectly calibrated. They have five sandwich options, and our favorites are the marinated-to-sweet-perfection grilled pork and the special combination with ham, pork, and pate (the best choice if you’re really hungry). There’s a small counter to sit on a stool and eat, but this is more of a takeout spot. So consider eating your sandwiches while exploring the options in this huge strip mall, like Sun Pearl Bakery, an excellent cash-only Chinese bakery." - cheryl rodewig, gabe bergado, ryan pfeffer, macy johnson

Google
The food was good, but the experience was let down by poor customer service. The staff member at the till was more focused on playing a game on his phone than helping customers. Even after I placed my order, I had to wait for him to finish his game before he processed my payment. It left a really unprofessional impression. Also how come this banh mi does not contain pickled carrots???

Google
Absolutely amazing flavors in their Banh Mi Dac Biet! I spent an entire week eating highly rated Banh Mi's in the Orlando area and this one did not disappoint!! The highlights here are the overall flavor of their ingredients: the pate, butter, meats, pickled veggies, and fresh veggies. The filling of their Banh Mi DB comprised of all of these ingredients which were all so so so so flavorful on their own, and when eaten together they all balanced and meshed so well. Talk about "layers" of flavor.. there was a different element shining on to my taste buds with every second of chewing and I couldn't stop taking another bite. Veryyy high remarks from me. Due to the fact that I am comparing banh mi's in the area, I rate this one a 9.5/10. The bread, while still delicious (so don't get me wrong), was too crispy on the exterior of the loaf in comparison to others. The over-crispness paired with the amount of filling caused the loaf to crumble mid meal and the fillings began seeping out. Again, the composition and structure of the loaf was still of high quality, but for the sake of a well rounded review, this is where their sandwich fell short *for me*. The storefront does not seem like much, but I promise you these sandwiches don't disappoint. The service was direct and quick. I did not wait long at all, in and out within 3 minutes. I highly recommend this spot with confidence.

This was my first time trying Hong Tra Tac (kumquat black tea), and I was so impressed! It’s nothing like the kumquats you usually find in the U.S. – this one had the perfect balance of sweet and tangy, with a fresh citrus aroma that paired beautifully with the smooth, fragrant black tea. This drink is super popular in Vietnam, but it’s really hard to find the same kind of kumquat here. I’m so glad Banh Mi Cali offers it I’ll definitely be coming back for more. Highly recommend trying this one if you want something refreshing, unique, and truly authentic!

Google
We loved it!!! It was my first time trying banh mi sandwiches! And omg it’s amazing! My husband had the meatballs sandwich with veggies aside and i had special combo with veggies inside. Fresh , meaty and huge! The price is around 8-9 $! Defined will be back! Oh and iced coffee is top notch!🤩 We were so excited to forget to take pictures before:D

Google
I love this little bakery and Bánh mi shop! I go here numerous times a month for a sandwich. Very fast and efficient. Pricing is good and the sandwich is made fresh to order with the freshest French bread! Soook tasty. Have to try it out if you never have.

Google
I had the #6 Banh mi and it was really good. The meat and veggies taste fresh and the cripsy bread is satisfying to bite into. The service was quite fast. There was a slight language barrier with the cashier person, but pointing at the banh mi pictures on the wall solved that issue.

Google
probably the best banh mi place in the area. very authentic and i believe it’s family owned. prices are very reasonable (i paid about $8 for the nicer banh mi, which is definitely worth getting) and the ingredients are fresh. but be warned, that combo banh mi is a bit spicy and it’ll creep up on you. i also got the artichoke iced tea (about $6) which was very refreshing, i highly recommend it especially if you like not too sweet boba. they also have fun little baked bread arranged to look like animals on display, which was a nice touch.

Yelp
This is definitely a hole in the wall place. There's only one table to sit and eat and a small bar of chairs. The impressive amount of people just going in and out as you eat, to pick up their orders, let's you know that this place doesn't need reviews. It's going to survive just fine on their food. My favorite is the 8. Because I don't care for head cheese. But when it's the weekend and I can pick up just the baguettes alone for my homemade ca ri or bo kho or shrimp toast, it's epic.

Yelp
I was excited to check out this place, but unfortunately there are no vegetarian options available. I wouldn't normally post a review but someone else mentioned there were options, as well as it being listed on the information page, so I wanted to let anyone who is vegetarian know not to make the drive here for Bánh mi.

Yelp
Really good bahn mi and super fast service. Definitely the best that we have had recently. I completely forgot to take a pic it was gone so fast.

Yelp
Six months ago, I went to this shop to pick up a sandwich. In between then and now I had a trip to Vietnam and had a Ba'nh Mi there. Yes, in Vietnam the Sandwich was very good. With that said there is absolutely nothing missing from the one I picked up here. It was full of all the flavor, vegetables and pate that one would ever want. All sitting beautifully on a beautiful baguette. Plus, it's a lot cheaper than a round-trip to Vietnam. The ladies that work there also are really sweet. They will answer pretty much any questions.

Yelp
This place is a solid! It's the best way to describe this place in one word. The prices are affordable, the quality of bread is fantastic, nice and warm and crispy at the same time, and the amount of meat they put in their sandwiches is just right. I actually feel like I'm eating more stuffing sometimes than bread ratio. You can't go wrong. Their special combo banh mi is awesome. It's not like straight up white mayo that they use, nor is the sandwich flat or dry. Just thinking about this sandwich makes me want to go back for more! If you're looking for a straight up, non fusion, straight-to-the-point banh mi that won't disappoint, do come here. It seems like a small establishment at first but don't let that fool you. You're in for a satisfying meal.

Yelp
Best banh mi I've ever had - their fresh homemade baguettes are to die for! The artichoke tea with grass jelly was also very tasty - subtly sweet. The service was pleasant and very quick. Will definitely come back here any time I'm in the area!

Yelp
While in Orlando, my husband was craving banh mi and this place did not disappoint. We had their banh mi thit nguoi, banh mi thit nuong and a plain banh mi pate cha Lua for our girls. All were delicious. Their ca phe sua da was not as strong as I'd like but good still. My daughters also enjoyed their banh tieu. Will return when in Orlando.

Yelp
This is my second time visiting this spot. I went with a coworker about four years ago and it was still the same experience. The sandwiches are very fresh and delicious. We got the Banh Mi Bac Diet and the Bahn Mi with grilled pork. The vegetables were super fresh, the bread was super fresh and you can see it cooking in front of you! All the meats were delicious. The customer service was very friendly and my order also came out fast. It was a great experience and I would recommend anyone who's never had a bahn mi to try out this restaurant !

Yelp
I recently visited a Vietnamese sandwich shop for a quick bite. Although I requested for extra pickles and for the sandwich to be cut in half, my requests were not fulfilled. As I was very hungry and in a rush to attend a Zoom meeting, I had to eat the sandwich while driving. However, I did go back to ask them to cut it in half as it was difficult for me to do it myself while driving. Despite being the only customer at that time, my requests were not taken into consideration. I hope they could be more attentive to customers' requests in the future.

Yelp
We love Vietnamese cuisine and it's so rare to find a specialized bahn mi café. We live an hour away and drove to this town just for the Asian market and to eat out in the area. This place makes their own bread, their portions are amazing, the price is affordable and the flavors are phenomenal! I am very happy to have tried it and will now have to drive here monthly just because of this place! I hope they can open a franchise near champions gate or four corners! Thank you for the great food and service.

Yelp
Love this place so much! Whenever I am next door grabbing an ice coffee, I always have notice how busy they are, so recently I decided to give it a try. I can't believe I wait so long and now I understand why they always appear busy. 5 stars for such a delicious grilled pork Bánh mi. The bread was amazing and the sandwich was loaded with both meats and veggies. The young man behind the register was super friendly. I'm my opinion, the sandwich was big for the price. I was only able to eat half and saved the rest for later. There isn't a lot of seating and most people appeared to have called ahead for their orders. I love that I can grab such a fresh and unique sandwich fairly close. I have Bánh mi at different places, but as of right now, Cali is my favorite!

Yelp
The sandwich is so good and full of meat . The service was quick. The place is a to go so don't expect a big sit down area.
google avatar

Yelp
Ordered the grilled chicken Banh mi. Price was very fair! Service was fast, friendly, and attentive. You have the option of having your salad inside/to the side of your sandwich. FYI warning to those that don't like Spice or a bit of a kick (I myself don't mind) there may be jalapeños in the salad!

Yelp
Omg!! That was legit a great Banj mi!! The baguette was just perfect. If you're in search for an authentic bang mi, you need not look further. This place is it!! The bread is so good, wish I could pick one up everyday. The sesame donut is tasty too. Will definitely be back to try everything else.
google avatar

Yelp
I went in today to get a few sandwiches. Sandwiches were okay, not the best in town. The young guy that rang me up for my order was extremely rude, he doesn't know anything about customer service. He tried to rush my order and picking his nose the whole time! Good thing he didn't prepare all sandwiches that I ordered. I would not go back there again!
google avatar

Brian L.

Yelp
The Bánh Mis here were well stuffed and had various options to choose from. Enjoyed them no didn't feel super heavy after eating. The iced coffee confused me at first. I was confused as to why I the cup came with ice filled to almost the brim and coffee not even filled all the way up. But I later realized that having that much ice is necessary given how strong and thick the coffee is. It was super strong with heavy cream I think in it, which made for a wonderful iced coffee.

Yelp
Located in Orlando "Chinatown" plaza, Banh Mi Cali is a place where I will visit every time I come to Orlando. Their menu is simple and service is super fast. Also, the people who took our order spoke English. It was something we struggled with when we went to other shops in the area. The sandwiches were $6.50 to $7 each. Don't forget about their steamed buns with pork and a HBE for $5. Both items were so flavorful. The steamed buns are probably one of the best I've had, besides the ones I make at home. The ground pork filling was seasoned well and plentiful. It's also not overly salted. The bun is super soft, even after it's been in a fridge 24-hours before, squished in my carry-on bag, and flown with me all the way home. I just microwaved it for 45 seconds and in my belly it went. I should have ordered more. It definitely doesn't taste like the buns that were steamed from frozen. It tastes so fresh. Only regret is, I should have ordered more. As for the sandwiches, the baguettes wasn't crispy but soft and chewy. It held the fillings very well, even the pickled daikon and carrot mix. The baguette soaked up all those juices but it wasn't soggy. It's loaded with layered meats and great ratio of veggies. Got our order of three sandwiches and two pork buns in less than 6 minutes. I kid you not. Definitely recommend for anyone looking for a solid banh mi and don't have to fight traffic for.

Yelp
My go-to when I visit Orlando! Tried several different banh mi - tasty and quality ingredients, good service, and decent prices.
google avatar

Yelp
The BEST banh mi sandwich I've ever had! That juicy grilled pork was fantastic! The veggies were fresh and the baguette was warm and delicious. The Vietnamese coffee was excellent as well! I'll definitely be back sooner than later!

Yelp
From the exterior I didn't really had any high expectation of this place but we just really have try to see. So inside it looks like a bakery that don't really have so many display of bread in the counter but they have a menu display that makes it easier. I got the ham and pork roll and it has pickled radish and cilantro with ham pork ham. It was actually different from what I thought but it taste so good! the bread is crispy and the meat is so tasty that it makes this sandwich so good. Pickled radish and cilantro adds so much flavor to it too. We also got large Vietnamese iced coffee and it was the best viet coffee I had here in Orlando. Perfect combo!

Yelp
Suddenly I felt like I was back in Trau Quy, in the outskirts of Hanoi and getting ready to teach my students. This place brought back the memories through my palate. I got the grilled pork and which there was more meat for the amount of bread for still delicious and the taste was spot on.

Yelp
Love their Bánh Mi Sandwiches. But they up the prices I would eat their sandwiches everyday if it's near where I live!!! My hubby and I would drive here just for their sandwiches .

Yelp
Love their Banh Mi's! The lady at the front was so sweet and nice! The food came out fast. Definitely will continue to come here.

Yelp
Who doesn't love carbs or bánh mì?! Out of all the locations in this city for this short baguette with thin, crisp crust and soft, airy texture inside with savory ingredients, this is my family's go to spot. Bread is fresh and tasty. We always order the bánh mì đặc biệt or in other words, the combination. Love how they make their own bread. They have a special if you buy ten, you get one free.
google avatar

Leqi H.

Yelp
Bánh Mi Cali is a local Mom and Pop shop that mainly sells Vietnamese sandwiches and drinks. They have a small refrigerator on the right hand side that has mini desserts.

Yelp
(1/9/2023) came by in a weekday to pick up a quick lunch to go. The small bakery makes one of the best Banh mi I've had in Orlando. It's all in the bread, and you can buy it by the baguette at like a little over $2.00 per. I always get the Dac Biet (special) with the cold cuts. They get just the right meat to bread ratio, a good schmear of hoisin and mayo, and plenty of vegetable garnish with large slices of fresh, crisp, jalapeños. The Banh Bao is a perfect portable meal in itself, a giant black peppery meatball with a hard boiled egg inside a soft, sweet steamed bun. The best accompaniment to coffee or tea for breakfast or teatime is the very sesame Banh Tieu. Def stop in.

Yelp
Specialty Sandwich 5/5 Banh Bao 5/5 Meatball Banh mi 5/5 Surprised the Banh mi is really good! First time here and will be back.

Yelp
If you are a fan of cafe sua da/Viet iced coffee, then go to Banh Mi Cali! I am usually at the Asian grocery stores every weekend and once in a while, I treat myself to some delicious and refreshing Vietnamese iced coffee! The only downside is that they do put a lot of ice in the cup and it is a bit pricey. I try to think of how much I pay for coffee at Starbucks and relate it to that... Anyways, the coffee is strong and the condensed milk makes it so good and authentic. When my parents and I are hungry and want a quick snack, we order the dac biet (special/pretty much has everything in it) banh mi and some banh bao (very large). I think the portion size is reasonable with their prices. Small shop but they have authentic and yummy Vietnamese drinks/snacks. I recommend checking this place out for sure :)

Samantha M.

Yelp
They consistently serve amazing food every single time without fail. The freshness of their ingredients always hits the spot.

Yelp
Excellent choice for lunch! Delicious Banh Mi sandwiches on homemade bread. Flavors are wonderful. Friendly service and reasonable prices.

Yelp
First time in. Im from Cali so the name caught my eye when I was in the parking lot of the 1st Oriental Supermarket. It is a small takeout only place that seemed very busy. Line was out the door but moved very quickly. I couldn't pronounce anything so thankfully, the menu has numbered items and English translations. The floor is marked for social distancing as you come in. However, it was confusing with the direction of the floor markings. It seemed most people went to the right when they walked in but then there is mirror image of floor markings on the left so some people came in and went to the left and started lining up, seemingly bypassing those on the right. It all worked out though. There is a display case of their baked goods, including large animal shaped bread and very large softball-sized pork rolls that were very popular. I will try one of those next time I'm there. They basically have it running like a well oiled machine with a couple ladies doing an assembly line of sandwiches. Another at the register and another that was putting the orders together. Very efficient process. I ordered the grilled pork sandwich and was asked whether I wanted the veggies on the side or in the sandwich. I went with in the sandwich. The bread was so fresh, crusty on the outside and soft and warm on the inside. It had chopped pieces of deliciously marinated pork. Cucumber, pickled daikon radish and carrot strips. It also had cilantro and jalapenos. The flavors work so well together. The only thing I would change is to add more cilantro. I only had a few sprigs which was definitely not enough for me. I have never had a Vietnamese donut so wasn't sure what to expect. It looked huge at first but was basically a hollow pillow of dough covered in sesame seeds. It was very good and I will definitely order it again. The dough was warm and soft inside and slightly sweet. The crunch of the sesame seeds gave it a great texture. There is a $10 minimum purchase to use your credit card. I added a milk tea to bring my total for all 3 things to approx $11. Everything was so fresh and delicious. One warning: do not eat the sandwich in your car without air freshener! It smelled like something died in my car for hours afterward as I was doing my shopping in Orlando, which is a good distance from my home in Clermont. I finally broke down and bought a small bottle of air freshener at Trader Joe's. Lol

Yelp
Oh, bánh mi, how I love thee. Bánh mi is a Vietnamese sub sandwich made with a long, thin, crispy baguette and filled with savory meats (typically pork) and topped with tangy pickled carrots, daikon radish, and fresh cilantro and jalapeño. Bánh mi sandwiches have become quite popular, and Bánh mi Cali doesn't disappoint this Vietnamese girl when I have a hankering for some savory, crispy, fresh deliciousness. They make their bread fresh daily and you can tell from the crunch in your first bite. They do offer a chicken version or a vegetarian version if you're so inclined. You can even get the "vegetables" (all the pickles, cilantro, and jalapeño) on the side, if you're not sure if you'll like them. If you're looking for a new favorite sub shop, give them a try. The shop is small, not much to look at, but most Vietnamese restaurants focus on the food--not decor. They're located right off Colonial (50) in a n Asian marketplace. Their shop is in the front tiny strip section facing the bigger grocery store. Don't be afraid to ask questions or change it up. The counter staff are friendly and are happy to help. My usual pick is the #8. It's delicious. My mouth is watering just thinking of all the flavor town found in one yummy bite. Go check them out. The prices are under 10 and you get a lot for that. I like to get there at 11:00, right when they open because they get busy at lunch time. Oh yeah, if you like that crusty French baguette, they sell those plain too. We grab one for dipping into a good stew or curry. Yum.

Yelp
No frills banh Mi shop $6 can't complain.. Ordered the standard dac biet, it was GOO~~D really like the pate and bread texture. Also for $6 can't be beat right now with things so expensive. The only thing I wish is for more menu options it seems a bit limited right now and more cashiers the wait is forever. Also why is the ham soo red, I thought it was salami at first but when I tasted it was fine. Also would've been better toasted but it is what it is!
google avatar

Reeyo R.

Yelp
Very delicious Banh Mi, freshly baked baguette and friendly service. Though the ladies speaks very minimal English, the cashier was still extra nice. The sandwich was made to order and still smelled and tasted fresh when we ate it later when we get to our hotel room.
google avatar

Ha N.

Yelp
Stopped by here with a few friends before we headed to the springs. Banh mi came pretty fast and workers were very nice. Banh mi dat biet is very good and the size of the banh mi is good as well.
google avatar

John M.

Yelp
Decent banj mi, weak service. There was a serious language barrier between me and the stuff, which I can deal with. One thing that was tough was that when my total came of five dollars and change and I handed her a twenty, I was given a ten, a single, and she started counting out change. Mind you, there were other people handing money to her, as well, yet she could not comprehend that she should ask the manager for singles. Fortunately, the manager came to the rescue and singles. The baguette was the best part of the sandwich. The bread was crusty and had a good chew. Unfortunately, while I ordered the roast pork, they gave me the pork roll and honestly, I didn't want to go through the hassle of trying to explain their mistake. I will try this place again, but I might resort to pointing to the picture on the wall.
google avatar

Yelp
My go to banh mi shop and I'm so thankful I don't have to drive all the way to Mills for it! Every time my parents come to visit I always have to make sure I have some Banh mis ready for them at home or for the road back. Bread is baked fresh daily and can be sold by the loaf! When they first opened as K2P delices the price used to be around $4-$5 (oh the good old times!). Even with the price increase ($6-$7) I think it is still worth it and will still continue to come here for Banh mi cravings!
google avatar

Steve A.

Yelp
Wow! Great bahn mi sandwiches! The key is fresh bread, and this place is baking their own, so it's super fresh and perfectly crusty. The roasted pork is very savory, and the veggies crisp and bursting with flavor. I also liked that they offered to pack the veggies separate from the sandwich for to-go orders, to keep everything fresh. Best banh mi I've had ever!
google avatar

Khanh M.

Yelp
Although i prefer paris banh mi on east colonial a bit more, but i think this place is doing a great job on their stuff. Highly recommended to try nuoc mat!!!
google avatar

Binh S.

Yelp
BEST PLACE FOR BANH MI! Definitely the best in Orlando area. Owner is a sweat heart, always best service. Yes there is better ambiance places in Orlando that serve ok Banh mi, But this is hands down best place
google avatar

Arun M.

Yelp
While the portions are very generous the taste and quality seems like it has changed. Banh mi was full of meat but the bread was dry and the crust was too thick. The banh bao was huge but was dry. Maybe it was a bad day because I've been numerous times before and never had a problem. Or maybe it's under new ownership. I will give them a try but will hope for the best.
google avatar

Jen W.

Yelp
My all-time favorite banhmi place. I'm from Philly and lived in Northern VA (aka Eden center) for the past few years -- recently relocated to control Florida for my job and am happy I found this place. Genuine, authentic Vietnamese food. Don't expect glamour or seating -- it's a grab and go. Everything is fresh and they don't skip on any meats or fillings.
google avatar

Norman C.

Yelp
Banh mi is one of the great sandwiches in the dichotomy of sandwiches. This spot needs more love than it gets amongst the sandwich lover crowd. Around 5 dollars for a complete sandwich that uses freshly baked french bread. It's great. You can definitely smell the difference from the other spots. I definitely believe this is the best banh mi I've had in a long time. I bought 3 for the road. Definitely will be recommending this spot to my friends now. I love the cute set up and the two ladies manning the front are adorable. Great food. Great service. Great priced!

Yelp
I discovered this place through a friend's recommendation, and it has definitely become my favorite banh mi shop in Orlando. It is a very simple store; you walk in, order at the counter, grab your banh mi, and head out in less than ten minutes. There isn't much room/seating for people to eat within the store. It seems to be a family-owned business, and although other reviews complained about a language barrier, I had no issue ordering. We ordered six banh mi to-go, and they gave us the option of keeping the veggies (pickled radishes/carrots, cilantro, jalapenos) on the side. Thankfully, they were extremely generous and gave us an entire bag (around the size of a ziploc) of each vegetable. As for the sandwich, the size is incredible for the price -- so worth that we bought two banh mi each. The bread is crunchy, yet not too hard, and the meat (roast pork) was flavorful and juicy. We also ordered two cups of che, which you grab from the refrigerator and bring to the counter. From there, they add the ice and milk to fill the cup. I've had better che before, but this one was the best compared to other Vietnamese restaurants in Orlando. The cups are filled about halfway with the water chestnut, mung beans, etc. However, I wish we were given the option to put less ice and more milk, since it easily watered down during the drive home. Nonetheless, the price and quality of the food here is unbeatable, and I will be returning!

Yelp
I can't believe I've never reviewed this place! This is a definite hole in the wall in the Chinatown area of pine hills. I've gotten the roast pork banh mi too many times to count. The baguette is always pillowy soft. The meat perfectly seasoned and the veggies have the perfect amount of zing. You have the option of the veggies on the side, but I always add it to the sandwich. For right under $6 you have a perfect meal that hits the spot when I want a quick bite. Service is fast, no sit down eating available and staff wears masks. I always recommend this place if you want a quality banh mi, no frills and a great price point. There is a $10 minimum credit card charge, but I've never been mad about ordering 2. Highly recommended!

Yelp
The food is great. The banh mi is old school delicious. I am not feeling the location, the decor, the parking lot. It felt 1980's

Yelp
This bakery located near the 1st oriental supermarket. I like this bakery because they make fresh roll bread every day. If you want to get a Bah Mi, this is a good place. Because their Bah Mi is longer than normal Bah Mi restaurant. They are about 9 inches to 12 inches long. We got the Bah Mi Special Combination. Is big enough with a lot of meat. Sandwich is about $5. But the size makeup for the price. They also serve milk tea with boba and the artichoke drink. I will try their artichoke drink next time. At the counter they sell some mixed drink and pork Bao. They store main item is the bread. They have the Vietnamese hallow donut, meatball, latte and more. Very simple item but this what they good at. I like that way better to keep the customers coming.

Yelp
Best french bread in West Orlando, guaranteed. Never had bahn mi before but this was a delicious sandwich and by all accounts a fairly accurate recreation of the clash between French and Indochinese cuisine. Definitely try the one with roast pork, deliciously fatty.

Yelp
This place bakes the bread fresh, in house, and proudly in view for all to see. The bread is key to a good bahn mi. I'm glad they are here and anytime I swing through the area it's my go to for an awesome sandwich. The portion is larger than most other places I've tried throughout florida.
