Google
I tried the grilled beef rice noodle bowl, grilled beef banh mi and the spring rolls. Everything tasted delicious - would definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for food that is filling yet not too heavy

Sang Jin L.

Google
Got the beef pho. I love pho and would consider myself a critic on it because of how much I eat it. It was overpriced, about $20 for a small bowl. The bowl was too small to mix anything properly in it. And the taste was not that good, some people say that the broth was good but I thought it was subpar, even kind of bad for pho. The meat was okay, nothing special. I wouldn’t recommend it for an avid pho enjoyer. I haven’t tried their sandwiches so maybe they are better.

Lisa X.

Google
Meat was nothing mind blowing, pretty standard for a pho (and I wish there were some other elements like tendon or tripe)—but the broth was where it was at :) Really light yet rich beef flavor, and I will say for the medium bowl size, the meat to noodle ratio was really good. Noodle texture was just average and came a little clumpy, but overall - did it satisfy a lunch pho craving in the middle of a crazy Boston storm? Absolutely 👍

Melissa

Google
Banh mi was delicious. The bread was perfectly crispy on the outside and soft inside, and the fillings were fresh, flavorful, and generous. Absolutely delicious!”

Google
Beef pho only review. Having sampled pho hundreds of times all over north America my standards are high. Firstly... this is good pho. But... It's the smallest bowl over and after a couple bucks tip we are talking $20. I think one of the downsides to Pho becoming trendy is that restaurants I think reduce their bowl sizes to cater to small women. I remember a time where a large bowl of pho was a meal... now the price is up 75% and value down 75%. That's supply and demand. By the way... its so darn hot in this restaurant right now its not bearable. At least open a door or something it's only about 23 degrees out now and it feels like 33 in here. It's unbelievable I ate as fast as I could and literally ran out. Not even kidding. It's a shame... there pho is good but noodles were done in 4 or 5 bites, etc etc. No value here I'd have to spend $40 per visit. Being a traveled pho expert I can not recommend this place unless it's location is convenient and you're trendy.

Google
Truly phenomenal Vietnamese food. The freshest ingredients. Beautiful flavors. Friendliest staff. The pho was the best we’ve had outside of Vietnam (spent a month there) and the Bahn Mi rivals any top sandwich in Boston (across all types). Definitely give this place a try. You’ll soon see it all over “Best Of” lists I have no doubt.

Google
Banh Mi K is an incredible addition to the Allston food scene. WE NEED MORE BANH MI! It looks like a little diner inside, very cute. The sandwiches are fantastic - crispy fluffy baguette with the perfect amount of meat and veggies. LOVE their sauce. The grilled pork vermicelli was also super flavorful, and the drinks are really well done too. I'll be back for pho and appetizers! Don't miss out on this place!

Google
We got the banh mi classic and the beef pho, both were great! The bread wasn’t super hard and the filling was delicious. The pho broth tasted amazing, tasted like a family recipe. The meat and noodles good as well. I would definitely eat here again.

Yelp
This is a cute mom and pop with a solid bowl of pho. I stopped by on a weekday for lunch and got the regular beef pho. The portion size was good and the service was friendly and fast. You order at the counter and when you're done, drop off the bowls and trays yourself. I'll definitely be back for a quick banh mi. I think they have a combo deal for a drink and a sandwich. They also have the usual drinks like Vietnamese iced coffee.

Yelp
Nice, small Vietnamese shop. The Classic Banh Mi hit the spot on a hot day. The bread was hot and crispy while also soft inside, unlike some other places whose bread cuts your mouth haha. Unfortunately, they seem to be just a two-person team so orders did get backed up

Yelp
Crispy banh mi! Very tasty but my stomach didn't feel great after :/ $14 thai tea and banh mi deal is solid. The pho tastes like water and like the rest of Boston, gives you too many noodles. I was served herbs bitten by bugs

Yelp
Grabbed some lunch here today with a friend. She ordered some steamed dumplings for us to start with, and we each got a ride noodle bowl with pork spring rolls on top. The dumplings were beyond delicious; some of the best I think I've had. Noodle bowl had nice fresh cilantro and veggies. The spring rolls were decent as well. I'd definitely return here.

Yelp
I love this cozy mom-and-pop pho sit down restaurant. A friend introduced me to it when she was almost turned away for the night but was graciously allowed in for some pho. The broth is rich and flavorful, and the inviting atmosphere makes it feel like home. I enjoy discovering small businesses like this one, and it truly delivers on comfort. I can't wait to go back and try more items from the menu!

Mimy T.

Yelp
Too much bread to meat ratio, and the bread was stale. Also, it was way too expensive to not be good at all.
google avatar

Emily Y.

Yelp
Cute little shop. Their Thai tea is good and I got a grilled beef banhmi. The food came out quickly and there's a small area for dine in.

Meeyoung L.

Yelp
It was fresh, yummy, full of goodness inside !!! We enjoyed Banh Mi very much! We'll definitely go again.
google avatar

Val G.

Yelp
Ordered the pork banh mi. The bread to meat ratio was perfect. Bread was fresh, vegetables crisp and all other elements made this the perfect sandwich. I got the sugar cane juice as well - perfect combo! I will be back.

Yelp
I only buy my banh mis from Ba Le in Dorchester, but it's not always an option as it is a bit of a drive for me. I decided to try Banh Mi K and it did not disappoint. I got the classic banh mi (viet cold cuts) and although it is more expensive than Ba Le it was still very good. We also got the viet iced coffee and thai tea and it was great. Service was very friendly. There are a couple tables and counter seating for you to sit inside. Totally recommend for your banh mi fix in Allston!

Yelp
Amazing ! Got the ham banh mi and ordered it online and picked up super fast! Lots of pate which I love and the bread is nice and chewy without cutting into your mouth. I got one from here and one from another place nearby and preferred this one! Also good shape and easy to eat without all the fillings falling out.

Yelp
I've been searching for a go-to banh mi place that had some proximity to me, and this is the one! Their banh mi is fresh and well flavored, their pho a good balance of fresh and savory. I really hope they continue on successfully because it's a good spot in a great location near Boston University and Allston. The ambiance has also taken some of the vibes of the retro hot dog shoot that proceeded it which is pretty cool. Overall a good spot with pretty quick and quality service from a small business owner who cares about each meal. I moved apartments but if I'm in the area again, I'll look to stop by!

Katie S.

Yelp
This place is amazing!!! The sandwiches super cheap and filling! The spring rolls are super fresh and really nice on a hot summer day!

Yelp
I have been eating Combo menu of Sandwich and drink for a while, I love their freshness of the food and friendliness of their staffs, feel very homey at this place. It's great addition to Allston neighborhood ! I tried Pho as well, I liked soup, noodle and added fresh veggies but not so convincing on beef. Overall enjoyed anyway. Cool people work there.

Mindy P.

Yelp
Cute little spot on the corner. Maybe I should've gotten the banh mi sandwich, but I opted for a rice noodle with beef bowl and it was just meh.. nothing special and the serving size was small. At least the prices are friendly here and the servers were very nice. Took a while to get my food, and I was the only customer in there. Overall, I wasn't blown away. Maybe I'll give it a try again, but not for a while.

Yelp
Just had this joint for the first time, never had a Bahn mi other than at Kam Man in Quincy, which was barely made properly, but this was amazing. Fresh, nice mix of bold flavors, good mayo, light crispy bread. Would definitely come back again when I'm in the area. Very quality product.

Diana C.

Yelp
Ambience like a hospital, service was good but the food was not it. The basil and bean sprouts were wilting and look at that meat :/

Yelp
Had the Vegetarian (Tofu) Sandwich-Loved! The tofu was the perfect texture for a sandwich without being overly chewy and was perfectly seasoned. Definitely ordering again and frequently!

Amber C.

Yelp
This review is ONLY for the sugar cane juice. I have not tried any of the food here yet. I was thrilled to see the sign outside shop's door pitching sugar cane juice. I grew up drinking fresh sugar cane juice in Hong Kong and Singapore and loved it. I have not seen this available anywhere in the US. So, I was really excited and ordered the $8 large bottle. I had asked beforehand if they had a machine that can extract the sugar cane juice and they said yes. As I watched the young woman start up the juicer, I noticed that she took out a big wedge of pineapple and put it into the juicer, and then she put in the sugar cane stalk. So, it's not 100% sugar cane juice. When I tried the juice, it tasted mostly of pineapple and, because of the sugar cane, it was very sweet. Unfortunately it did not have that natural sugar cane taste. I would not get it again.

Yelp
Great sandwiches, always quick to order n make plus super fresh ingredients, the veggies n herbs taste like they were just picked!

Yelp
Amazing Vietnamese iced coffee! My favorite type of coffee, and they do it right. For now this is all I can comment on

Yelp
This place recently opened up in the Allston area and we decided to check it out! The restaurant/sub shop just opened up recently a few weeks ago. We tried the classic cold cut banh mi ($10) which included cha xiu meat also. The bread was airy and crispy and filling was good. I will definitely come back to check out other food items. The owner was very nice and welcoming. Great addition to the area.

Yelp
The Banh mi is amazing here. Filled with flavor and leaves you satiated. The sriracha they have here is out of this world and no other place has it! The service is friendly and fast. Its a cute little restaurant. Very clean and fun to be in.

Yelp
Food was great! And they make traditional bánh bèo which I haven't seen too many other places do. Very delicious, the elderly Vietnamese lady even came out to show us how to properly peel it from the little dishes.

Yelp
I got food delivered from them the other day. I got the chicken wings which were marinated in a fish sauce. I thought they were OK. I probably would not get them again. I also got bahn mi with grilled beef and my friend she got the bahn tempura shrimp. They were both very good. It starts with the bun or the role which was perfect nice and crusty, but not too much the ingredients for fresh and delicious. We'll get it again.

Jovanna T.

Yelp
I was slightly anxious to enter this place but I don't regret it. It wasn't first time trying a Banh Mi and this place did not disappoint. I'm not a big pork/meat person so the amount of meat the sandwich had was fine for me. Customer service is definitely good as well. As a college student I also think it's pretty affordable and filling. The place is small but I believe that's what gives it it's welcoming ambiance.

Susie D.

Yelp
First time in this area looking for a quick bite for lunch. Found this place on Yelp with fantastic reviews and decided to give it a try. Very happy that we did! I had a grilled pork sandwich and my hubby had the traditional Banh Mi. Both were absolutely fantastic with lots of flavor and served on perfectly crusty bread. Excellent service too, we ate our food there and it was served quickly. They seem to do a lot of takeout. We will definitely be back to try the Pho next time we're in the area.

Yelp
Great sandwich. I messed up my order and they helped me figure it out. Definitely recommend!

Yelp
This place was amazing. Got the fried fish bahn mi. Friendly & quick service. Definitely a must try in the neighborhood

Chris L.

Yelp
It's hard for me to give a low rating, but the banh mi we tried were not good: classic, crispy pork belly, beef, and shrimp tempura. The bread was chewy but I won't mind because it was a delivery order. The classic had a bland piece of cha siu pork, 1 piece of ham, mayo that tasted like commercial American mayo, and onions (why?). The mayo needs to go. To improve the classic, simply use cold cuts. Call it a special and add a marinaded and grilled piece of pork to cold cut. The veggies all lacked pickled flavor and beef was tough. We also ordered the egg rolls: pork and shrimp - pork was good, shrimp was pasty like dough inside. I don't know what went wrong but it'll be tough to give it a second chance. 2 stars for one of us liking the shrimp tempura banh mi.

Yelp
Recently opened in the old Spike's Hot Dog. They kept some of Spike's decor. I'm not sure if the woman that greeted me was the owner or not but she was very friendly. They have paper menus on the counter. I got the Fresh Spring Rolls (shrimp) and Classic Banh Mi. The Fresh Spring Rolls ingredients were all very fresh and the wrap was thin and moist, but not too thin that it would rip when you picked it up. I've had them at other places and the wrapper was either too thick/dry or so thin that it breaks when you pick it up and try to bite into it. The sauce was a little too watery for me, but that's just me, I personally like it thicker. The Classic Banh Mi was different than the ones I usually get in Chinatown or from Pho Viet few blocks down. Taste was different. But not in a bad way. It didn't have all the ingredients that I'm used to. But would be something i would get again. The bread was very soft and fresh. I was surprised because I came on a Wednesday night at 8pm. Good bread is very important and can ruin the whole banh mi if the bread was too hard and dry (or tastes like it's been sitting out all day). I will be back to try their other items!

Drew W.

Yelp
This restaurant just recently opened in place of "Spikes Junkyard Dogs" and because I've been on the hunt for good banh mi in Boston. I decided to give it a shot. After trying many a disappointing banh mi place here, this place did exceeded expectations! The Classic Banh Mi is a must try, with excellent amounts and flavor of the meats, and balance with the jalapeños, pickles, Mayo, and pâté. The person I was with would also highly recommend the grilled pork banh mi for those who prefer that style. Would highly recommend this to anyone who is disappointed with the prior selection of banh mi in the area.

Yelp
Love this place! Everything I've tried from their menu has been tasty - special shout out to the crispy pork belly sandwich (banh mi heo quay) which is phenomenal. They make the roasted pork in house and it's so fresh. Owner is super sweet!!
google avatar

James M.

Yelp
Good food, nice service, and a really pretty shop. Look forward to coming back in the future. Like the pho
google avatar

Jacob H.

Yelp
Mmmmm that fish sandwich is so good and they got a good combo deal going right now for tea and sandwich that's my favorite. Sometimes their fish sandwich is the highlight of my day

Quang T.

Yelp
I'd wanted to get the Mì Quảng here one of the chef's specials as it was one of my favorite meals back home, but unfortunately they didn't have it, because the restaurants was opened very recently. I got the Classic Sandwich, the Bánh mì thịt nguội instead, which was delicious. The restaurants itself is small but is clean, and the owner was super friendly. Definitely recommending it.

Tracey D.

Yelp
Great and AUTHENTIC bánh mì place in Allston which desperately needed a Vietnamese spot. The owner is so friendly and sweet and talked to me about her experience as a new business owner. She told me she works so hard to make most of the ingredients from scratch. It is intimate inside and gave a classic grab and go lunch spot. Give it a try.

Vincent V.

Yelp
The service was excellent. I had the crispy pork belly sandwich which was savory goodness.

Siri W.

Yelp
Great food and fast service! Pho was basic but good and the crispy spring rolls were delicious. I plan to come back often!

Faris A.

Yelp
Best Vietnamese food around, it does taste like home made food with very good quality ingredients. Highly recommended if looking for a Vietnamese spot.

Max H.

Yelp
Criapy Pork Belly Banh Mi was bussin'! Perfect amount of saltiness. Limeade was also really good
