Banh Mi Love

Ordered the combo pork with pate,fancy pork,head cheese,ham,mayo,pickled carrot and onion. I also added jalapeño. The combination of the toasted bread and generous pate made the sandwich crunchy and moist. Meats and veggie were very tasty with the pickled carrots. Price is right and sandwich are very good. I will come back for more.

The veggie seared tofu sandwich is alright, if a bit flavorless. They don’t put enough aioli for it to lend much flavor, and the tofu is bland. That said, the ingredients are fresh and the price is great. I was disappointed because this place has great reviews, but maybe the flavor in the other sandwiches comes from the meat. I would give this three and a half stars if I could.

Grab and go kind of place, I have only tried one banh mi but it was perfect, well executed, well balanced. Cute little playground nearby you can eat it at, a simple joy.

I’m always on the hunt for an amazing banh mi, and today, I hit the jackpot. I went with the beef brisket, and it was absolutely phenomenal. The bun was perfection: fresh, soft, yet perfectly crisp on the outside. It paired beautifully with the tangy pickled carrots and fresh cilantro, creating the perfect balance of flavors. The beef was tender, generously portioned, and packed with flavor. And that dipping sauce? A sweet, spicy, and tangy masterpiece that elevated every bite. Honestly, I was tempted to order a second one right then and there!

This place actually closes at 3:40pm… The Vietnamese kitchen girl on duty was quite unprofessional and rude in telling me the kitchen was closed… without an apology. I thought the shop closed early today since the store hours posted (online & at the shop) says they close at 4pm…. This shop is already hidden and hard to find… Might as well give the banh mi business over to Bambu, since Bambu is open for longer hours and have an easy to spot storefront…

Banh Mi Love is tucked into a medical building next to Stonestown Mall. It has one vegetarian and vegan banh mi. Spicy Curry Tofu $7.50 Seared Firm Tofu, Red Curry Aioli (spicy), Pickled Carrots and Onions, Cucumber, Cilantro, House Soy. (VEGETARIAN) It was yummy and I experienced the banh mi love.

TLDR: food was great, price is very reasonable I got the beef dip banh mi and the flavor was very good, tons of flavor and a ton of great pickled veggies. I ordered and it came out in five minutes, beef banh mi and viet iced coffee was around $16 but the non beef banh mi is $8-$9 which is very fair prices for the city. Would definitely come back to try another sandwich

September 2022: Stopped by for lunch and tried the tofu banh mi. This place is a bit hard to find. You have to walk into the main lobby of the medical building on the corner. Once inside, go past the elevators to the left. I thought the tofu banh mi was really tasty. Bread 🍞 was perfect. Like a traditional banh mi sandwich where the bread is airy. 👍 Tofu was soft and fluffy. They put a red curry sauce that went well with the pickled carrots and jalapenos. Overall, great sandwich! Glad that there's a great Vietnamese sandwich option in this part of the city!

One of my favorite banh mi spots in SF! It's a bit tucked away in the medical building in Stonestown next to the Subway. Every time I go I get the combination, so I can't speak for the taste of the other sandwiches but it always satisfies my banh mi craving. $10 and a bit on the smaller side but reasonable still. Reasonable portion of pate and fresh. Tasty, affordable priced drinks as well. I enjoyed their guava green tea.

Seriously look for the sign or else you can miss this place across from the Stonestown gym. First floor, no frills, no tables. They take credit cards and cash. I got the pork sandwich with pate and the bread was amazing. I could literally hear and taste the crunch. Wish the veggies were pickled and I would have liked more veggies and pate, but the sandwich was good. Had the Vietnamese coffee here which I didn't like. Wouldn't order it again. It was very bitter. Too bitter for my tastes. Friendly service, will be back.

Wanted something quick near Stonestown without eating at the food court and my friend suggested Banh Mi Love. I ordered the BBH dip and it was really good. Bread was toasted perfectly and it was loaded with meat. The dip was a littttle sweeter than BBH broth usually is, but it did go well with the sandwich. I will definitely be back!

We get Bahn Mi sandwiches from here whenever we come into the medical building for our appts. I only order the combo pork, which is my fav. The pate' in it didn't taste as good as the last time. The julienned carrots are pickled and good. The bread was toasted and very crunchy. Everyone else in the family likes their garlicky chicken sandwich. The ladies who put the sandwiches together are fairly nice.

We were down bad for some banh mi, and obviously did not want to commute alllll the way to the Tenderloin, so decided to take an L and come here for their combo sandwiches. At $10, we found the price point vs. the quality/portion misaligned-the sandwich is somewhat small and the bread isn't what you aspire for in banh mi. I would recommend stopping by only if you're truly craving banh mi and don't want to venture too far out in the city!

Been meaning to try this Banhmi place for a while but it sat in my Yelp bookmarked places (more than 2K at last count). Finally we visited together right before Christmas and it was a nice experience. A little takeout place with friendly service. Hubby was jamming to their music while ordering. Banh mi was good with tasty fillings and crunchy bread. I like their lychee hibiscus tea. Located near Stonestown Mall in an office building on Buckingham Way and 20th Ave.

This is a tiny spot in the medical building across from Stonestown Mall. It's only for take out as there are no tables or chairs to eat in-house. Because we got there around 1pm and dinner was going to be at 5:30-6, we thought to split a sandwich. I ordered a lemongrass chicken sandwich and a lychee hibiscus tea. After about a 5-10 minute wait, I got my order and left. My bf and I started eating about 1/2 way down the block and noticed we got a combo sandwich! It had fancy pork, pate, head cheese and ham with onions, cucumbers, cilantro and carrots. I was the only person in the shop when ordering, then a bunch of people were lined up after me. How did I get the wrong sandwich? And it was a tiny sandwich too. The sandwich was good and bread was crispy. But by the time we hit Whole Foods, it was gone. I guess you can't expect much for $9-10 anymore. The lychee hibiscus tea was nice and not too sweet, though the real bits of lychee get stuck in the straw. Solid 3.5 stars for service, quality and quantity.

I don't know what went wrong, but I was very dissatisfied with my sandwich today. I called in my order and they were very fast about getting it assembled. Unfortunately the bread was cold and super crispy. Like it was old bread that had been warmed up and left to sit for too long. It was not fresh. And the pickled carrots were way too tart. The fillings to the combo pork was so little and the size too small for what I paid. I feel that if you're a sandwich spot, then the ingredients should be legit. Especially the bread since that's what you're known for. Sadly, I will not be coming back.

Decent Banh Mi sandwiches if you are in the area. They have a unique selection of sandwiches which I feel like isn't your norm. I ordered the Lemongrass chicken with extra pate and jalapeño, and it was good. My husband got the Combo Pork (Paté, Fancy Pork, Headcheese, Ham, Mayo), which he enjoyed too. Both sandwiches were great, but we also agreed that it didn't seem worth it to go out of your way to go there. Perhaps if you were already at Stonestown, and picked it up, that it'd be perfect. I ordered the sandwiches online, and although they estimated a 15 min wait time, they were done within 7 mins of ordering! Nice. I feel a little bad for their location. It's in this medical office building, not having the best parking or convenience for easy pick up. Honestly the best to have your significant other drive and drop you off to pick up. Anyway, fun sandwich selection and I wouldn't mind returning!

Delicious food and quick service! The store is located inside of a larger building so make sure to look for signage on how to get there. I tried the Lemongrass Chicken sandwich, BBHD sandwich, and the Thai Iced Tea. The BBHD sandwich comes with a sauce to dip the sandwich in which was so good. The Thai Iced Tea was also delicious.

Banh Mi Love feels like a hole-in-the-wall restaurant. I feel like not everyone knows about Banh Mi Love, as it's tucked away in the lobby of the Stonestown Medical Office building. The food here is delicious! Their menu focuses almost exclusively on banh mi, with the exception of some salad, drink, and dessert options. For $10, I ordered the fancy pork and paté banh mi (no mayo, no jalapenos). FYI the server at the counter always asks for the option to add jalapenos. Otherwise, all sandwiches come standard with cilantro, onion, cucumbers, and cilantro. Though I wish my sandwich had a little more meat, the flavors of the paté and pickled veg + freshly-toasted bread were *chef's kiss.* There was just enough paté spread in the sandwich that made this taste so delicious. For San Francisco prices, I felt that this was reasonably affordable for a quick and easy lunch. I highly recommend Banh Mi Love, and I can't wait to try their other sandwiches on the menu!

Hubs craving banh mi and has been wanting to check this place out. We ordered the combination porki, garlicky chicken, and BBHD. Didn't get to take a picture or try the BBHD since kiddo devoured it. Hubs liked that the bread was crispy and that there was a good amount of meat and veggies. The garlicky chicken was flavorful. The combination pork was also good. I think the pate in this one was more flavorful than other pates I've had.

The value (quality to price) is there. I tried the garlic chicken banh mi. It needs more garlic. I'm going for the combo pork next.

I've ordered several times since my review two years ago. In that time I've ordered online on the Grubhub platform via Yelp or directly on their website which platform is Square. Each time my order has been ready for pickup. The bahn mi sandwiches are set at a good price point. Our orders: * hubby always gets the fancy pork & pate. * I've been getting the lemongrass chicken. If you place your order online, there's a checkout box for jalapeno or no jalapeño. That's great as hubby wants and I don't. The sandwiches are always warm and the sandwich roll toasty. Carrots are thinly shredded and marinated. Bahn Mi is located street level inside the Stonestown medical building. Plenty of parking at the adjacent Stonestown shopping mall.

I stopped by right at opening after my dentist appointment upstairs. I frequently passed this place and have finally jumped the gun and decided to grab a sandwich for my sister and I. We ordered the combo pork ($9.25) and garlicky chicken ($8.50). There was a customer before me that ordered 4 sandwiches so it took maybe 10 minutes to make. The sandwiches were a decent size for the price of a Vietnamese sandwich. It doesn't beat the inner sunset for the prices but I would say it's still cheaper than other places in that immediate area. The combo was filled with the paté, fancy pork, headcheese, ham with mayo. There was a TON of paté. So if you are a fan of that, then this sandwich is definitely for you. The paté was definitely the winner of this sandwich and I can see why they have the Paté and fancy pork on its own. The fresh veggie ingredients made this sandwich a 5/5 in my book. I had to transport it home which was about 20 minutes away and the bread was also still crunchy on the outside. All sandwiches includes pickled carrots and onion, cucumbers cilantro and house soy, jalapeño upon request which I definitely took advantage of there. The pickled veggies were delicious and you can tell that it was not just sitting there for days because there was a crunch to them. The Garlicky chicken consisted of garlic soy marinated chicken with the garlic aioli and veggies as well. The Garlicky chicken was good, but I felt like the sauce made the sandwich way messier than I would have liked and because I traveled 20 minutes home, it was super soggy already. I tasted the garlic but felt like if its covered with so much garlic marinade and aioli that it really needed more of a kick. Overall, fast service, yummy sandwiches and for those that are wondering there is plenty of parking for ease of pickup/ordering. Do know though that there isn't much seating in the storefront to eat there so it's more so on the go.

Price remains but the meat portion definitely has decreased (see pictures). The taste is little bit different for the combo because they put less meat and more pickled carrots. The garlic chicken was okay, but it would taste better if there was a stronger garlic flavor. :(

Simple yet delicious salad! It's shredded cabbage salad with chicken, herbs, fish sauce dressing, and some shallots. I could eat this everyday !!! Overall Rating: 10/10

Tucker away in the medical office building right beside Stonestown is this gem of a business. You'll find a solid selection of banh mi offerings made with so much love. Our family favorites are the: Combo pork BBHD Garlicky Chicken They never disappoint with their generous portions, the crunchy baguette exterior and warm fluffy interior. My mom loves their pate and the way the combo pork comes together. She smiles from ear to ear whenever I stop by with her combo banh mi. My hubby's go to is the BBHD with a fried egg. The meaty sandwich is so tender and the flavors blend so well together. You can't forget the BBHD dip which also has a hint of lemon grass. My favorite is their garlicky chicken, which has such an interesting way of being tender, juicy, and creamy all in one. Its garlic aroma really comes through and you'll enjoy it to the very last bite. The service is professional, efficient, and friendly. You're always greeted warmly and the team works quickly with precision to make these delicious sandwiches. How could I have never heard of this place until now! It's really hard for me to find a banh mi dac biet I actually like because I am so picky lol. 10/10 friendly ladies and their service; 10/10 would come again :) side cheer for the garlicky chicken too, my husband loves it :) I can't wait to order catering!

This hidden banh mi spot is such a great edition to stonestown. It's hidden inside the medical building on the first floor. Always come here during my lunch! Their banh mis are roughly $10 and so worth it. They're packed full to the point where you need to loosen your jaw to get a bite as you can see from the photo - that meat/topping to bread ratio! You know it's going to be a good banh mi when you take a bite but the roof of your mouth gets cut lol. Bread is super crunchy on the outside but inside is light and soft. Service here is pretty quick as well since it's kind of hidden and haven't seen them busy busy before. They also sell a variety of Asian snacks on the side as well.

This is a hidden gem. Located in a medical building.. The servers are very nice. It was almost closing but they made my delicious sandwich. It was really crunchy and packed with meat veggies , the works.. I had the iced coffee and it was refreshing. If you are ever craving for a sandwich. It is a must have.

One of my absolute fav banh mi places in sf! I usually call to order, then pick up. I always get their combo pork with extra pickled carrots! I think about getting something else on the menu, but every time I come here I'm specifically craving the combo pork and end up sticking with my usual. The baguette is toasted, so it's still soft but with a slight crunch on the outside. They're generous with the fillings and for $10 you definitely get value. This place is inside a medical building, next to Stonestown, so definitely a hidden gem type of place. I always forget to take a picture because it's so good!

The reviews looked really good and my friends wanted to try, so I decided to come see how it was. Unfortunately it was not it, I'm really hoping it was just an off day and that I can come again and really be wowed. BBHD - 2.5/5, beef brisket, carrots, onions, cucumbers, mayo and a dip. The beef was super dry and was in giant chunks rather than cut up. There wasn't much flavor. When dipped, the bahn mi just became wet and oily. The dip lacked flavor and was super oily. The other two sandwiches I believe were garlic and pork. Those were also lacking flavor and dry.

Pleasant surprises with this hole in the wall. The customer service was immaculate. Pleasant, endearing, helpful, respectful. The options were pretty decent and the size of the beauty for $10 is well worth in the Bay Area. Beautiful banh mi and they ain't skimpin on the toppings. Practically had patte drippin down my fingers. Tasty, inexpensive, and good quality. Big Mitch will be back

This place is located at my old dentist office building hidden in the lobby. I was in search of Banh Mi Love Combo Pork sandwich. The Combo Pork sandwich was tasty. They also had my new favorite chips which are the turkey leg flavor Cheetos. Good place for a take out Banh Mi.

Not bad. We got GINGERY TOFU & COMBO PORK SANDWICH and Viet CHICKEN SALAD. The roll was warm and crispy. Love the tofu. Everything was yummy. The sandwich was a good portion for small eater.

We loved the veggie sandwich from here. Maybe the meat options weren't for me. I did get the garlicky chicken sandwich which I wasn't the hugest fan of but will be back for the veggie sandwiches FOR SURE!

Ordered on the phone around 1:45pm knowing they closed at 2pm and they were happy to take my order as long as I could pick up before 2. The place is very small and is inside a medical building, tucked away in the corner on the ground floor. Aside from sandwiches, they also have some drinks, appetizers, and a section of Asian snacks! I ordered: -Combination pork banh mi ($8.75): pretty solid, but pâté had a stronger flavor than I was used to. Meat was a little skimpy on this one. -BBH dip ($10): came with super yummy broth that you dip the sandwich into. Big chunks of meat in this sandwich. -Viet Coffee ($4.75): strong coffee flavor and not too sweet! Both sandwiches came with cucumber, cilantro (I had some sprigs that weren't very fresh, but it was end of day), mayonnaise, and pickled veggies. They also asked if I wanted jalapeno. The bread was crispy, but both sandwiches were on the small side. Overall, great service and decent banh mi.

Very solid Banh Mi sandwich shop. Easy parking for quick pick up, sandwich was well toasted with generous servings of pickled carrots, cilantro, pate, meat and mayo. Folks at the store is friendly. Ambiance is small and clean. Prices are more reasonable compared to Dinosaur (approx $10 here vs $12.50 there).

Hidden little gem right inside the Stonestown Medical Building. There is also an ample amount of free parking as well. Sad part is there is no table to sit down and eat your delicious banh mi and this place closes early. My family and I ordered the BBHD (Bún Bò Huê Dip) $12 - House Special Spice Lemongrass Beef Brisket, Mayo with a side of BBH Soup to Dip, Spicy Tofu $7.5 - Seared Firm Tofu, Mild Red Curry Aioli, Gingery Tofu (Vegan) $7.5 - Seared Firm Tofu, Sweet Ginger Glaze, Ginger Vegenaise, and 2 of their Thai Iced Tea $5 ‐ Sweetened Black Tea, Evaporated Milk. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. The baguette used was soft and pillow like. I wished the pickled carrots and onions had more time to pickle, it seemed to have lacked that iconic Vietnamese Do Chua pickle taste. I also wished the Seared Tofu was a bit more crispy to my liking. Other than that everything came out quickly from the time of order to the time of make to receiving the food items itself. My family and I waited no longer than 10 minutes or so tops. The ladies who works here are very friendly and nice. Will definitely be coming back so that we can try other items on their menu.

Love their combo sandwich here! It's my go to when not in the Tenderloin. Love that they are a women run business and always have great customer service. Their sandwiches are always on point. Just wish the bread wasn't so crumbly. Price point is also ok since they do operate in SF.

We came to this place to get banh mi and we weren't disappointed. We had combo pork ($9.25) and the BBHD ($11.00). The combo pork had a lot of meat and veggies with crunchy bread. The BBHD had lemongrass beef brisket and veggies came with a dipping sauce. It may not be easy to spot in the beginning but it is inside the plaza next to Stonestown mall across from Petco. This is a good place to get banh mi and not too hard to find parking.

Really delicious sandwiches. We got the BBQ Pork, shredded pork, and BBHD. Really appreciated the amount of meat on these sandwiches. Excellent flavors, quick service, would come back next time we're in town!

The store very close to Stonestown Mall, walk-able distance, right inside the building lobby... My first time here but i already enjoy the Bánh Mì - the filling inside was delicious - the pate , mayonnaise, all the meats and fresh vegetables... Service was amazinf, she can understand vietnamese and take order in vietnamese, the coffee was ok, cafe du monde, she waited for the bread to finished and put the ice into my coffee right after the bread is done, i love the service here... i tried so much bánh mì here in SF, but definitely come back here and eat more...

I would have to say that the name Banh Mi Love accurately captures the care taken in preparing one of the best Banh Mis I've ever had and can't stop buying. Banh mi is one of my favorite foods, and there are a lot of different elements to judge to determine if a banh mi is worth buying. For me, it's what's on the inside that counts, and Banh Mi Love has options for everybody. Whether you like spicy or mild, vegan or meaty, traditional or a new spin, their menu can accommodate anybody, and they are very kind when it comes to substitutions. I religiously order the Lemongrass Chicken Banh Mi, but I can not have egg whites, so they are always willing to swap out the aioli on that sandwich for the Sweet Ginger Vegan "Aioli" that they offer for the Gingery Tofu Vegan Banh Mi (which I have also tried and really enjoyed). After ordering whichever banh mi you would like, they ask if you want jalapeños or not which is an easy way to control the spice level, and additionally all sandwiches come with pickled carrots and onions, cucumber, cilantro, and their house soy sauce. Any of these can also be left off to further customize your banh mi. Finally, you can't have a sandwich without bread, and it's not a banh mi without a baguette. The baguette they use at Banh Mi Love is perfect. It doesn't fall apart and crumble everywhere like at some places, and it holds up to all of the great sauce, aioli, and other fillings while still being easy to eat (and they do not short you on fillings as you can see in my picture). I need to try the other menu items, but I need to get a few more Lemongrass Chickens before I switch up my routine. If you're a student at SF State or just need a meal after running errands at Stonestown Galleria, then Banh Mi Love is one of the easiest, closest, and best options. Once you get past the very minor issues of limited parking and trying to locate where to go, you will see that Banh Mi Love is worth the visit. There's also a bus stop right outside for the 57 bus, and the stop on 19th Ave for the 28 bus is just a two or three minute walk away. Just enter the medical building lobby, turn left before the elevator, and you're at the right place for a banh mi.

Came here and got a few sandwiches and a couple drinks. The owner greeted us was really nice and friendly. The sandwiches were tasty and full of flavor. My son can't stop saying how delicious the sandwiches were and told me I have to give them a 5 star review. We'll be back again.

I had this place on my radar and finally got to getting around to it. My first impression is the location, inside the lobby of a medical center confused me at first but it's pretty easy to find once you enter. I got the pork combo which was about $10, for the price the sandwich was great! I liked the bread and the pate was an excellent addition. Service was pretty fast too, highly recommend.

I ordered the fancy pork and garlic chicken sandwiches. The former was much better than the latter. Their pâté is pretty good. I only wish someone would invent banh mi bread that doesn't flake off all over the place when you eat it.

Fantastic Banh Mi and a great new find at Stonestown. I love myself a good banh mi and the ones served here hit all the right notes. Stuffed to the brim with quality meats, flavorful pate and fresh pickled veggies, these banh mi are as hefty as they are delicious. The Combo Pork was well balanced and as satisfying as any I've had, while the Bun Bo Hue Dip was both interesting and flavorful. The combination of tender brisket and crusty bread worked well with the dip and was definitely worth the trip. I was very very happy with this meal.

I love the affordable Banh mi . Although they did raise their price but it's still a decent price. My fave is the combo with lightly toasted bread! No cilantro ! I love their pate , so freakin good. One of the better tasting Banh mi better than any sunset/ Richmond spots

My favorite banh mi in the city! I've been on the hunt for a long time and have finally found what I've been looking for. It's definitely a little pricier, but I literally have no complaints. Bread is absolutely perfect - really thin compared to other places. They give you lots of pate and an even amount of meat and veggies throughout the whole sandwich. If you're thinking about trying it out, do it!!

Hole in the wall in the medical building next to the Stonestown YMCA. Great for a quick banh mi after a workout or any lunch hour. Contrary to some other reviewers, my sandwiches have been of very decent size for the money and my orders never have been screwed up. The staff is personable and the banh mi that I have tried - dac biet and grilled pork - have been delicious, with plenty of meat and vegetable toppings alike. If I have a quibble, it's that the selection of sides is pretty limited, with only fried imperial rolls and salad options that I recall. (Spring rolls would be a good offering to add.)

Gotta say I was a little disappointed. I've been craving some really solid Banh Mi after being away from CA for nearly a year. The portion was huge but the flavor was lacking. Maybe an off day?
