The food is fantastic. The the plat du jour. Reminded me of Hainanese chicken rice. Super flavourful. The chicken was super moist. The Bo bun was super fresh lots of veg very light I very much enjoyed it. Can’t wait to come back and try the speciality bahn mis. Would highly recommend. This place is delicious, thus keep in mind you’ll have to wait in line. The service is a little slow but well worth it. The staff is lovely and super nice. The atmosphere is super homey.

Google
Banh mi with caramalized pork is so delicious. Staff is super friendly and the owner - Angela - is a fantastic person. Highly recommend. Portions are huge so unfortunately was not able to order more. Next time!

Google
Incredible food, I got the pork caramel banh mi and it was delicious. All the staff are very friendly and accommodating. I would definitely recommend!

Google
Incredible Vietnamese spot in Paris! One of the best meals I had on my visit. Owner speaks many languages including English. Spot is tiny with limited seating and almost unrecognizable from the outside. Highly recommend this for every lover of Vietnamese

Google
Ordered the special banh mi and in it were a few slices of pork and some pork floss with lots of carrots. It was really not worth 8 euros, we had a much better one elsewhere for less moneys (see my other reviews if you’re interested) The owner was very friendly though, shame about the food!

Google
Do NOT get chicken banh mi here. Only got it bc pork was sold out and chicken was quite dry, quite flavorless. Everything else was quite nice!

Yelp
Here in Paris for a business trip and was craving a Vietnamese sandwich. Coming from the SF Bay Area, I can attest the banh mi was great.

Yelp
One of the best bahn mi I've ever tasted. Both the pate and well as the caramel pork bajo mis are delicious. A must when visiting Paris!!

Frances L.

Yelp
Delicious banh mi, perfect portions of beef, carrots, and cucumber to baguette. We were able to get out banh mis spicy! Lady in the front is fabulous and is speaking Vietnamese. Legit.

Yelp
One of my checklist musts in Paris was to get a banh mi. I wanted a crunchy baguette with a speciality meat and to see how delicious the vegetables could be. After doing some research around the area, I'm so glad I tried out this place. A straight forward restaurant name with Banh Mi, the sandwiches are just as straight forward and delicious. I ordered the Porc Caramel and not only was the bread crispy and a perfect crunch, the sliced up carrots were some of the best I've ever had on a banh mi itself. Also, I like to say I have a good spice tolerance, but Banh Mi's jalapeños are such a great spicy kick to add to this banh mi. I loved this place so much, I went here twice; once upon exploring Paris and then once again before I left France because I loved how delicious this banh mi was. I must also add I was able to meet the owner and the employees and they are so friendly and so nice and so welcoming. I felt like I was in their home and they were serving me my favorite banh mi as if I had gone there for years. I've already told my friends who are taking upcoming trips to Paris to get this banh mi as I truly think this is one of the best banh mis I've ever had and am already looking forward to a trip to Paris just to get it again! Thanks Banh Mi, I hope everyone can come and experience how great those banh mis are.

Yelp
Wow! Talk about a delicious banh mi. The pork was juicy and full of flavor. The baguette was soft on the inside with a good amount of crunch on the outside. My husband considers himself a banh mi connoisseur and he said this is the best banh mi he's ever had. To top it off, the owner was extremely friendly and sweet.

Yelp
Best Bahn Mi in Paris. I never come to Paris without eating here. Get the caramelized porc bahn mi (which they'll run out of if you're too late). Do take out and walk down the street to the Place de la République to eat.

Brewster M.

Yelp
Best Bahn Mi I have ever had. Staying in Paris for a few days, her shop is right across the street from our hotel. The bread was outstanding, spice level of Medium perfect for my western palate, the mix of meat, veg, and cilantro could not have been better. She has ruined me for Bahn Mi. I'll never find one as good in Colorado!

Yelp
I recently visited Paris 2 weeks ago, and as a big Bahn mi lover I knew I had to come here before I left to go back to New York. Walked 20 minutes from my Airbnb in the crazy rain to get here, and it was all worth it! If I had another day in Paris, I would come back here without any hesitation. My sister and I ordered 3 different types of Bahn mi to try: chicken, pork belly and beef. All 3 of them were so delicious, but the one that was the most outstanding was the pork belly (2nd place was the chicken). The pork belly Bahn mi was the best Bahn mi I ever had (comparing it to all the ones I have tried in NYC, Texas & California). I have not been to Vietnam so I can not compare. The pork belly was so tender, juicy and full of flavor & the baguette was of such high quality. The owner was also very generous in adding a lot of condiments (pickled carrots, cucumbers, cilantro, etc). The baguette sandwich itself was ginormous (2-3 people can share it). The chicken Bahn mi was also very delicious - super tender stewed chicken and full of flavor. Owner was super nice, friendly and generous. P.S - come early because her foods are so popular they run out quick. Owner said you can call her and place an order for pickup. She said her noodles are also very delicious, but when we came it was all sold out. Since coming home from Paris, I miss the Bahn mi here very much. I wish NYC had a Bahn mi like hers.

Yelp
It didn't feel right to leave Paris without trying a Vietnamese sandwich with an real French baguette! If I had more time, I'd definitely explore more of the Vietnamese cuisine in Paris but a banh mi was a must at the very least! This shop was one of the more well reviewed in the area so made a trip on one of our last few days in Paris. It's VERY small so expect to take our to go or expect a squeeze. My friend and I ended up getting a pâte banh mi and a chicken plate to share. Neither was anything super special - the sandwich didn't have enough pâte spread nor did it have any of the pickled veggies that I usually enjoy - but both were tasty enough! Baguette for the banh mi was, as expected, solid. The iced coffee, while 5ish euros (?!?) was EXTREMELY yummy!! If you're a little tired of French cuisine, give this place a shot!

Yelp
Wow! I've had Bang Mi in NorCal. There is no comparison. This place is the bomb. So tasty and delicious. Will come back here again.

Yelp
Sandwich was just okay. The service was very nice! We shared one baguette and they realized after the fact when one bite was taken and they offered to cut in half for us. I would have liked a pork + pate combo but didn't see that at the time. Bread was nice but was missing some oomph!

Caeleigh S.

Yelp
Delicious sandwich (even just the bread was amazing), slightly busy/hectic and charged an extra $2 per item to eat there, but good, quick service and great food.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I are Vietnamese and we wanted to try Banh Mi in Paris since their baguettes are much better than in the US. We came here and were surprised at how many people there were! They had run out of the grilled pork, which is fine. So we ordered the pork roll and the special Banh Mi. The Banh Mi was crispy, maybe a little too crispy (we heard one of the girls saying she burnt the bread lol) but it was a solid Banh Mi and hit the spot! It was garnished with pickled veggies and was pretty good. I would come back. Maybe add more meat to veggie ratio!

Yelp
Gourmet pork belly banh mi with hints of anise. Pickled carrots also had extra flavor and the baguette was of course excellent. All in all, this is elevated street food. I thought I could only eat half a sandwich because it was LONG but somehow I finished the whole thing. Owner is lovely and caring. Perfect start to a long afternoon of exploring the city.

Yelp
Staff was helpful and able to assist with my poor French-some English definitely spoken here. Probably the best banh mi I've ever had. Large size, and super crispy outside and super soft inside. Had chicken and husband got caramel pork. Definitely order spicy if you like that. Great prices and the park nearby is lovely. Definitely will return.
google avatar

Julie T.

Yelp
Gotta go early they run out of most popular meat. We got there at 6pm and they had run out of porc Caramel which i wanted to try. Instead i got the beef and the Hubs got the special which has cha (steam pork) and cha bong (Shredded dried pork). They asked if you want it spicy and he said yes. They put some spicy paste on the bread. He was it a good kick. Much diff from San Jose where they use jalapeños. They put a lot of shredded carrots and herbs vs. picked daikon and carrots in the US. Overall it's ok. The place is a little overpriced. 7.5 euros for a sandwich. Maybe we're spoiled with our prices in the US?

Yelp
There are so many places that I yet need to review from my Paris trip but here's one to start. I was very impressed with this restaurant. I was also very happy to have been referred here. We ordered 3 different types of Bahn mi to try: chicken, pork belly and beef. All 3 of them were great but my personal favorite was the pork belly. Our waiter spoke some English but the menu was easy to figure out.

Yelp
I had to try Banh mi In Paris, due to the history between Vietnam and France and also this was a French inspired dish. Also I grew up eating Vietnamese food too. My conclusion: WAY Better than what I've had in NYC, but not nearly as good as what I've had in Houston, TX. The portion size is bigger than what normally gets sold for over $6-7 in NYC and also the bread is better in Paris. This bread has a nice crunch, and it's not too chewy. It's perfect. Haha the owner is funny, I wasn't aware that they spoke english and so I ordered in Vietnam and when I tried to switch to English she kept encouraging me to speak viet. So I used my limited viet and orders Banh thit nuong but they didn't have they. So I said Banh mi pate and they had that. The meat tastes fresh and full of flavor, the sandwich was very spicy, but so good that it's tolerable.

Yelp
We arrived in Paris just in time for the spot to open at 5:30 but the lights were off and door was locked. All the signs were in French but on a whim my husband rang the "service" door bell and an energetic woman came bouncing up from downstairs. She thought it was hilarious that we wanted to eat now since parisians eat much later. They were of course out of the pork so my husband got the beef and I got the chicken. First off, spice level is no joke here. Mild/medium is hot. Hot is super hotter so as she advised us, you can always ask her to make more. The ingredients she uses is fresh and plentiful! The baguette is amazing! I wish the daikon/carrot was marinated a bit more like in the states, but overall it was a great sandwich and larger than even that states. And the owner is absolutely a delight!

Yelp
We weren't really anticipating going to a Banh Mi place in Paris, but when we thought about it, Vietnamese food has a distinct French influence so maybe this would be a kick ass sandwich. We actually tried to drop in one night and they were out of the good stuff, so we couldn't get their best sandwich, the pork. However, we opted for a different meat (I believe it was what you call the "special" meat in Vietnamese sandwiches). The owner hand makes the sandwiches in what could only be described as a makeshift store. It's not really a great place to sit down and eat. We grabbed ours and went and it was a very good sandwich except it was a little too spicy for me but of course my lady LOVES spicy so she really enjoyed it. One thing for me about Banh Mi is that they tend to use french bread that isn't soft (ie either more towards stale or just drier). This usually destroys the roof of my mouth if I'm not careful, but this one was short of that, but not soft. It is quite a big sandwich, plenty for two people who aren't famished. And it was quite cheap, at only 6.5 Euros I believe.

Yelp
Go here. Now. Food was fresh, delicious, and served up by a sweet and charismatic staff. I've probably sunk my teeth into banh mi at maybe 6 other places in my travels and this stood out as the Best without any question. Dat baguette doe - amazing. If Yelp allowed expletives in posts there would be several used throughout mine to reinforce my enthusiasm for this establishment. PS they aren't screwin around when they ask if you like heat. Be careful if you can't handle pepper otherwise you may end up with the shimmy yaw shimmy yays.

Yelp
great bahn mi! it costs two dollars extra to eat in the restaurant so take it to go. delicious!!
google avatar

Kelsey L.

Yelp
Loved this place. Super tiny hole in the wall in the neighborhood where we stayed. The bahn mi's were great and affordable - got the pork caramel (like a bbq) both times. The owner is really nice and speaks both French and English. Highly recommend for a lunch spot
google avatar

Christina P.

Yelp
My friend and I were looking for a quick lunch since we while we are visiting Paris. For the past week, her and I tried to find some good authentic tasting vietnamese food. We did try a few, but none of tasted quiet right. When I almost gave up looking i saw this little hole in the wall place. And hands down, one of the best tasting banh mi I've had. The lady was nice to add more spiciness to mine, since I told her I like spicy food. The chicken in the sandwich was almost a melt in your mouth moment. I'll definitely be returning here before I leave.

Anna W.

Yelp
The spicy beef banh mi and passion fruit boba tea is AMAZING!! The owner is so sweet and thoughtful and clearly loves sharing her food and you can definitely taste the love. So wonderful, must try for banh mis in Paris!!
google avatar

Wei P.

Yelp
Best banh mi I have ever had. Must try in Paris. I always make this a necessary stop when I visit Paris. The porc caramel cannot be replicated elsewhere. I actually went to this place before they upgraded to a bigger store front and can confirm that the quality of food has not fallen and the owner is just as friendly as before. Glad to see they are getting more recognition and business as they have expanded!

Yelp
This was the only place that I wanted to visit while on my short visit to Paris for the very first time and they did not disappoint at all! My girlfriend ordered the beef Banh Mi (they ran out of the pork belly, the most popular) and I had the special Banh Mi (cold cut w/pork floss). The baguette had a nice crispy crunch and soft on the inside. The saltiness of the pork and sauce was off set by the fresh parsley, cucumber, and picketed carrots (no pickled daikon) with a hint of chili peppers. The beef Banh Mi was so juicy, delicious, and full of flavor. The owner cooks the beef multiple times to enhance the flavors of the sauce into the beef. The sandwiches were so damn good I ordered a (spicy) chicken Banh Mi to go and devour later. Definitely would recommend if you love a great quality sandwich. The two ladies were so nice and friendly to talk to!
google avatar

Danny S.

Yelp
Flavoring and bread were on point. Nothing like what Los Angeles has to offer. The lady was extremely nice and speaks a variety of languages, so if your french is not up to par you'll be able to communicate in English, Canto, or even Vietnamese Definitely a must go to spot in Paris

Yelp
I knew I had to try Vietnamese food during my weeklong trip to Paris, but I had no idea that it would end up being my favorite meal. Between the endless pastries, French onion soup, and steak frites we consumed, my fiancé and I agreed that the Porc Caramel banh mi here was the greatest thing we ate. First of all, the woman who runs this place is amazing. She is super sweet and friendly - and you can tell she has a passion for what she does, which shines through in the food. My fiancé has tried (and failed) countless times to get me to like banh mi in the states, but I knew I had to try it again here... I am so glad I did. The baguette was BEYOND amazing on its own, but the pork belly was marinated and cooked to perfection. The sandwich was then loaded generously with veggies and paired with the most drool-inducing/mouth-numbing chili sauce. I would warn you to ask for less spice even if you consider yourself as having a high spice tolerance. It hurt SO GOOD. The portion was huge, but I forced myself to keep eating more just because it was so good. And, yes, it was so good that we came again at the end of our trip. We've only been home for 24 hours but I'm already craving this again... if I ever find myself back in Paris, this will easily be one of my first stops.

Yelp
Amazing for what it is- bahn mi sandwiches. High quality ingredients and technique. Affordable, everything is less than 10 euros. Grab a few for takeout to eat later.
google avatar

Daisy d.

Yelp
I'm not sure what the big deal was about this place. The Banh Mi was... okay. Many reviewers raved about the porc caramel so we ordered a couple of them. The pork was very fatty with very little meat to enjoy. I did like the abundance of fresh carrots and cilantro, and the bread had a nice crunch to it. I've had better Banh Mi's than the one I had at this place. The service was very nice, tho.
google avatar

Yelp
The banh mi is to die for! Come early, you will not regret it and the owner only stays open until she runs out of food. This is a small shop. The exterior has no name, inside only offers two seats, and my hubby felt it was his best meal in Paris. The owner is a personable woman, who is actually Chinese, but parents moved to Vietnam before her family moved to Paris. She also speaks English and chatted with my husband and I the whole time we were in her shop. As mentioned in other Yelp reviews, she is intrigued with her Yelp fame, but admits to never having logged onto the site or even Facebook for the matter. She was adorable! :::The Banh Mi (6 Euros, Cash Only) The owner shared that making her Banh Mi is a four hour process that she does daily. Her shop offers 3 selections: pork, beef and chicken. However, she admitted that she ran out of pork within the first 15 minutes of opening the shop. Pork lovers come early... Our Banh Mi was served on a lightly toasted baguette, with veggies (we asked for the pickled ones) and we requested the spicy chili due to our love for heat. Combined with fresh mango boba, this was a perfect meal. When in Paris, this shop is a must try.
google avatar

Yelp
Since I had touted the virtues of bubble tea all week to my mom who had never heard of it (helas, bubble tea fever has yet to reach Woodstock..) when we passed this minuscule, hole-in-the-wall shop with only bubble tea and banh mis on the menu, we decided to rectify the issue illico presto! The adorable owner ran down the list of flavors and we settled on a cold, matcha tea to go. My mom's eyes nearly popped out of her head! Damn, was it good! Definitely one of the best I'd yet to try. Can't wait to come back to test the sandwiches which are all made to order and looked wonderful!

Yelp
Oh, how the mighty have fallen. For the longest time, I was going to Banh Mi at least every other week and telling anyone I could how it's the best banh-mi sandwich out there. I never minded the wait, because I would simply chit chat with the proprietress behind the counter about life, culture, and - above all - cooking while waiting for my sandwich to be crafted to protection. Other people complained about the slow, one-person operation, but I actually enjoyed the opportunity to talk to one of the few lady entrepreneurs of the neighborhood. Being entrepreneurial myself, I spent a couple of years working seven days a week building up my own thing, and unfortunately was not able to get to Banh Mi. Friends had picked up orders for me and I figured they weren't as good because they weren't ordered specifically by me, in person. Alas, I finally went a couple of more times in the last few months, only to find that the team had changed... ...and so had the food. And now it's moved to a nicer location, but the food still disappoints. It's not that Banh Mi 2.0 is bad, it's just not nearly as good, and certainly no longer worth going out of your way for. For that, I pour out a bit of my Bia Saigon, for a fallen homie.
google avatar

Gene C.

Yelp
THIS is the pinnacle of banh mi. Combining superior crunchiness AND chewiness of a true French baguette, tender pork belly that's saucy enough to melt into the bread, and a generous hand when it comes to the vinegar on the carrots and chili sauce (not Sriracha, more depth and heat). The beef comes in a distant second, while the special (pork sung+ch la, no roast pork or pate) is somewhat forgettable. The proprietress is very friendly and is able to speak in French, English, Vietnamese, and Mandarin; she told me how even people who visit from places where there is a decent Vietnamese population (including San Jose) tell her that her bread makes the sandwiches here the best. Pair this with one of their Vietnamese iced coffee (or 2, since there isn't much espresso in just 1) for one of the best tastes that Paris has to offer.

Yelp
My husband and I were on our honeymoon and of course I had to find a place that serves banh mi. Especially, knowing it'll be with a French baguette. There's only one other place in Texas that makes really good banh mi with a light and airy French baguette, BUT knowing we were in Paris, I knew the French baguette would be different. Skinnier, crispier, and a little dense. I don't mind that, as French pastries and breads are my favorite. Knowing they had limited hours and the banh mi I wanted to try the most was the caramel pork, would be the first to go, we rushed over there! We ordered a caramel pork banh mi to share (HUGE mistake, I should've bought like 5 of them for myself.) My husband isn't a fan of cilantro, so got it without and not spicy. Another huge mistake because I love cilantro in my banh mi. Service was friendly and fast. We got a taxi to take us to the Louvre, since we didn't want to walk to our bus stop. We had a really short amount of time to see the Louvre that day. Let me tell you, the cab ride to the Louvre was. Torture. I didn't want to be rude and eat in the cab so we agreed to wait until we got there. The smell of the banh mi in the cab made me salivate so much. I was craving it. We got to the Louvre and I ripped opened the paper and took a bite. Heaven. In. My. Mouth. It was literally the BEST banh mi I've ever had. Next time--and there will be a next time, I'm getting 5 for myself with cilantro. I have dreamed about this banh mi, and I still crave it almost every single day. Do you think they'll deliver to the states and I can just assemble it?
google avatar

Stefano O.

Yelp
I was searching for some good banh mis all over paris and found this place and wasn't disappointed. The moment you step in, the place gives off this very hole-in-the-wall type of restaurant and overall friendly and neighborly vibe. The owner was very helpful and friendly and the sandwiches were divine. I even took some to go, because they were just that good!.
google avatar

Jesse D.

Yelp
I'm a big fan of Vietnamese sandwiches so being in Paris where the baguette doesn't get any better than here - I just had to get my Banh Mi fix. The bread was toasted perfectly and the BBQ pork so was flavorful! I'm craving another one as I write this review... Ask for the extra spicy chili spread if you can handle the heat!
google avatar

Laura L.

Yelp
Like the other reviews have stated, cute little Viet sandwich shop with limited hours in the Les Marais area. Arrived around 12p and the interior was dark with no lights and got worried that maybe they weren't open. Rang the buzzer and within seconds, the cheerful owner welcomed us in. She already knew I wanted the pork belly since she states that's what most people go early for. It's a generous portion and can easily be shared. As she was making it, a line of customers started forming. She seemed to have some helpers, so the orders came out quickly. Just as good as places in the US. Wouldn't say it's a must stop in Paris, but if you're in the area and are in the mood for a cheap bite different from the typical Paris brasseries, check this place out!
google avatar

Jennifer J. L.

Yelp
Don't let the space fool you. The food is legit! My boyfriend and I stayed nearby and found this place had great reviews. The first time we stopped by, we thought the place was closed (it has little lighting so it looks like it's closed, but check their hours to make sure!). We came back the next day with determination. We each ordered the Porc Caramel banh mi. It's huge! The bun is crispy on the outside and warm on the inside, and the flavours are out of this world. It is packed full of ingredients. Highly recommend this one if you eat pork (even if you're not a fan of pork, you'll like this one). The restaurant owner is super nice and talkative, and speaks several languages fluently. My boyfriend and I tried to come back again another day, but we were too late and they were closed. The final day of our trip in Paris, we came back and ordered the Porc Caramel once again, and a beef bo bun. All of this was delicious. I unfortunately was not feeling well and couldn't indulge as much as I wanted to (but this benefited my boyfriend as he ate pretty much all the food). The restaurant owner was once again super nice, and gave me tea to help me feel better. Honestly, I can't recommend this place enough. Nice people, good food. Get take out, eat in, whatever. Give this place a try!
google avatar

Rachel A.

Yelp
The bahn mi we had here was amazingly delicious. It is quite spicy (more so than average), but you can always ask her to make it less spicy or not spicy if you want. Adding to the amazing experience here was the proprietor, who was talkative, funny, and wonderfully sweet. She clearly cared deeply about how we liked the food, as well. I wish I lived in Paris so I could go here more often! Overall, highly, highly recommended.

Yelp
I highly recommend this sandwich shoppe. The menu is simple. The food is fresh, and scratch made daily, and the owner is lovely. The Bahn Mi, which is one of two items on the menu, is delicious. Word to the wise, however, the sauce is spicy. It's a red chili sauce that the owner makes and it's mostly chili. It's not like the mayo-based sauces in the U.S., for example. I also loved he fresh mango juice. She also closed early and runs out of stuff, especially Pork, quickly. Either go early or call ahead. I only wish I had another day in Paris to go again.

Yelp
My last visit to Paris I thought I found THE place for banh mi's.....no way. THIS SPOT is the place to go for banh mis in Paris...FOR REAL this time. The bread is incredibly soft and scrumptious. The owner woman is so friendly and so humble. She really does make an awesome banh mi with lots of veg and meat. She ran out of mayo, but she makes her own mayo too. It's a legit spot. Clean with seating and a restroom. HIGHLY recommend!

Yelp
Best Banh Mi I've ever had. Baguette was perfect and the sauce was like candy. Veggies were pickled to perfection.
google avatar

Kelly T.

Yelp
I'm a huge banh mi fan. I knew I had to stop by while visiting Paris. Best banh mi ever, from the baguette to the pork to the pate. Definitely a must while visiting Paris! Will definitely go back! Friendly staffs and even packed the veggies separately so we could take some to-go.
google avatar

Michelle D.

Yelp
Quick and easy! Easy because even though I couldn't speak French, I CAN speak Vietnamese! So it made communicating 100% easier. I was able to ask her for specifics. They didn't have a banh mi dac biet, which is my favorite because of the page spread. I ended up getting the banh mi cha lua spicy version. Very good! But very very very spicy! It's a small place, with about 4 tables. A lot of people come here to take out! I would definitely come again if I ever get the chance to go back to Paris.

Yelp
Arrived at 2:30 pm on a Saturday, 1 hour before they close. The place is small with only 3 tables. Ordered 1 chicken and 1 special banh mi sandwiches. They were out of pork so if that's what you want, you better get there early. Both very tasty but doesn't move into the #1 spot for me.

Yelp
Amazing experience. Me and my gf are in Paris and wanted our Asian food fix and we tumbled upon this place via yelp (thank goodness). We got there when the doors opened and it's this small shop ran by one lady who knows English Vietnamese and some other languages to boot. Let me tell you, best banh I've ever and my gf agrees. Ingredients are fresh with the mouth watering pork belly prepared for hours. The baguette is a perfect compliment with the right amount of aioli and condiments. Will come back for sure next time we are here. There are lots of customers worthwhile to stop by if you're in Paris and want an amazing experience.
