Google
This place deserves better reviews! I got their fire bowl with steak and it was delicious (& 6-7/10 spicy) + had some veggies and felt semi healthy. One of the better airport meals I’ve had and definitely one of the best in DFW.

Google
Wow! Much better than expected! The chicken 🐓 with green curry was delicious! The white rice was sticky rice! Nice and solid. The green curry definitely had spice to it! Which I loved! There are two locations in terminal D. I hope eaten at both. This one is better! They have a full bar here . Decent seating area as well.

Healthy. Fresh. REAL steak. Fresh herbs. Clean. I don’t know what else really to say besides this is the best thing to eat at terminal C at DFW international Airport. I always feel like there’s unhealthy choices in frozen food to eat at the airport and it doesn’t leave me feeling the best when I’m on a flight. Hands-down, this meal was exactly what I needed and I feel like it’s a hidden gem between Pizza Hut and McDonald’s. Also the little old lady at the front working the cash register was so sweet and gave me some fresh basil and hot sauce. Anytime I’m at terminal C now I will be having this.

Google
We were pleasantly surprised to find they had Tofu Bahn Mi sandwiches. It's an airport food court, so it's barely a fair question to ask about the atmosphere. The guy who helped us was professional and helpful. We ate every bite of the sandwiches before hopping on our flight.

Google
I almost didn't get food here because of the reviews, but it was SO good! I ordered the Fire bowl with shrimp which was sweet and only a little spicy. Great semi healthy option for an airport!

Google
What a joke of a place... I got vietnamese style chicken soup... what I get is a little plastic container. They do not serve it in a bowl... the broth tastes below average and the chicken is a few pieces of microwaved junk. Don't bother. Waste of $16

Google
Great service, but while hot and freshly made, the fire noodles lacked flavor and the noodles were undercooked. (Too Al dente) the crunchy California rolls were dry and the rice was hard. So, not fresh. And the wasabi wasn’t very wasabi like.

Google
The flavor of the fried rice is horrible and the amount of broccoli and tofu was almost non existent. $20 for rice and soy sauce essentially. If you see this place while at the airport keep walking. Many other places at the airport will leave you satisfied. Prices at the airport are high already. People deserve more for the price.

Yelp
I was thrilled to find some chicken soup in the airport. The gentleman who helped me was very kind and didn't know if he had any more noodles or chicken left, but went out of his way to help me. They close at eight so get there before hand. The people behind me, returned away. Feeling blessed to have some good soup.

Yelp
Was looking for an Asian place that may have GF options at the airport. We came across this place and when we arrived we were greeted by a very friendly gentleman who I think was the manager. He told us we could seat ourselves and will get served. Lexi took care of us and assured us they had some GF options. We ordered the green curry with chicken and GF drunken noodles. Curry 3/5- didn't feel like a curry and was more of a stir fry. Curries have a lot more sauce/broth. It was fairly dry and just a bit too much ginger. It tasted fine but wasn't great. Pad Thai 3/5- It just didn't have a lot of flavor but adding some lime and sriracha helped. Usually I'm looking for that distinct tamarind flavor but it wasn't there. The veggies and meat were cooked well at least. Our service was great and quick, the food was just underwhelming and for $48 it seemed a bit over priced for what we got.

Yelp
We stopped here for a quick bite during a layover in Dallas airport. The tables are nice right there and the view of the planes loading kept us engaged. I got the pork meatball banh mi and soup combo. The pork meatball had great flavor and vegetables were crunchy but the meatball was really a flat piece of meat. It needs a little more meat to veggie and bread ratio. The soup was light with citrus flavor and lots of noodles, chicken and fresh cilantro. My husband got the steak banh mi and enjoyed. Definitely more meat than the pork meatball.

Yelp
Visited again because...long layover and hungry and limited vegan options. Tried the drunken noodles this time. With tofu and no egg. Noodles were fully cooked but thin rice noodles (not the wide kind I'm used to) and very bland. I probably should have asked for some Siracha or hot sauce. Again cooked fresh, plenty of oil, just very little flavor. Servers were very pleasant and the cook was super nice about accommodating no meat or egg. Tip: DO NOT use the QR code on table to order. There is a $5 up charge to sub tofu if you order online which is obscene, especially when a bowl of noodles is already over $20. Ordering from a person there was no extra charge to remove meat and get tofu instead.

Yelp
Definitely a pass when at the DFW airport. I grabbed a fried rice bowl with chicken on my way to my gate at the opposite end of the terminal. I heard the wok being used but the rice still had a wet consistency. Veggies were undercooked and just one or two steps away from being raw. The ginger soy dressing was either just a sprinkle or forgotten because there was a massive lack of flavor. It really needed some salt or soy sauce. And the kicker? They forgot my chicken so I paid $21 for some mediocre wet, bland rice. Don't be like me and walk away without checking your food. I didn't have time to go back or I would have.

Yelp
I got a fried rice bowl and it was actually quite tasty. The tofu pieces I added as a protein (extra cost to add any protein) were tiny slivers but there were also tiny egg pieces. The veggies were very tasty. Overall a delicious option that is hearty and actually has veggies! I ordered at the counter and opted to eat 'there' and was told to sit in any seat and they'd bring me out my food. You can also sit anywhere and order from the QR code on the table. This was a pleasantly decent option at the airport and I would go again but opt for something that was more vegetable heavy than rice heavy.

Yelp
I was smelling another passenger's food as she was dining, waiting for her flight that I had to go and get some, too. The spicy green coconut curry with tofu had no taste at all. I came back to ask for soy sauce. I probably should've just gotten the usuals - fried rice, pad Thai, or bahn mi sandwich.

Yelp
Sorry to say, this is one of the worst Banh Mi I have ever had. I understand it is airport food but this is a waste of money. The bread wasn't great, the pickled veggies weren't picked enough, the steak wasn't a decent cut or was there much flavor at all. I wouldn't order this again.

Yelp
Flew in from DEN and had a connecting flight here in DTW, thought I give this place a try before heading out to my next flight. I came here on a thought that the food would be delicious but to my sad surprise, it was a miss. The photo looked very tasty, but it wasn't up to my standards. I ate it anyways because it was pricey. If u want actual vietnamese food save yourself the time and find a real place. You're better off eating panda express here in the airport. lol Service was okay, but I will probably not eat here again.

Yelp
Honesty, first time having Vietnamese food this horrible. Haven't had lunch craving for food, lost appetite after first bite. Ordered blazing chicken. Spiciness is good. But the saltiness is extreme. Not recommended!

Yelp
I ordered a coconut curry bowl -- but was given a different order on purpose. I got my food and walked all the way down to my gate to eat. That's when I saw it wasn't curry. It was a dark sauce, maybe teriyaki or soy. I'm having a gluten flare and can't risk the contamination. So I walked all the way back and said, "I think I got the wrong order." The woman was not apologetic or friendly. She said they always switch to this particular sauce when they think someone is vegetarian. So I ordered coconut curry, and it says coconut curry on my receipt -- but they just decided to give me something different, with 0 communication. I'm also still puzzled why a coconut curry wouldn't be vegetarian.

Yelp
Landed in DFW and had to wait 2 hrs for my connection flight. I was feeling hungry and cold, so I searched the airport for hot soup. Found the Banh Shop. They only have 2 soup choices, so I ordered one called Vietnamese-style chicken soup. It was hot and delicious, full of grilled chicken (hidden beneath the vermicelli). It hit the spot just right. I slurped the whole down in no time! Highly recommend this soup! I also ordered banh mi to go for later.

Yelp
So much hate for a clean, airport, quick space!!! Legit prices are more at an airport, that's the price of travel. But if you want clean service, healthy(ish) tasty options, and easy acces--this is it.
google avatar

Manolo I.

Yelp
The best airport food ever-- so delicious that on my next flight, I intentionally chose the one making a stop in Dallas just to dine there once again. Second-to-none customer service; they enjoy making you feel appreciated. It's in the airport, so nothing special about the location or ambiance, but the food flavors are so delightful that you forget where you are.
google avatar

Yelp
Central location awesome sandwich. Needs more jalipenos and cilantro. Airport food is expensive. It was 2024 July $18.00. The cost in 2021 was $8.50
google avatar

Yelp
The food is good and a great alternative to the standard pizza, hamburgers, and vending machines at many airports. I had rice noodles with fresh cilantro, green onions, fresh lime squeeze and peanuts. Good sized portion, very fresh tasting while exhausted and waiting for delayed flight. Topped it off with fresh draft beer from the bar next door. Delightful.

Yelp
I went here while on a layover and thought it'd be better than the other choices in the area. I had the tofu banh mi ($16). I enjoyed it because it was nice and simple with fresh ingredients. It wasn't authentic but it got the job done before a long flight. The lady who worked there was also really nice.

A Z.

Yelp
Fantastic green curry, surprisingly authentic. Spicy and delicious. Reasonably as airport food goes as well. I'd say it's definitely the best bang for the buck in terminal D.

Yelp
Great flavors coming out of this shop, with fusion translations that tickle the palette. We were slightly disappointed, becase we were expecting more traditional pho options, but nonetheless I enjoyed the fire bowl. My son tried the pad thai, but he wasn't a fan. My daughter chose some sushi rolls and loved them. And finally, the Vietnamese chicken noodle soup was the closest thing to pho on the menu, but it fell short. Overall, not bad, and we shouldn't have had such high expectaions for a Vietnamese experience at an airport.

Yelp
I was traveling through DFW and wanted something better than generic airport food. Banh shop is definitely above the other airport food I've tried in the past. They have to-go options or sit down if you are not in a hurry. I recommend dining in if possible. My server Alexis was super attentive and friendly. Their drunken noodles were really solid and just right with the amount of sauce/flavor. Definitely recommend for anyone passing through DFW and craving Asian/Thai food.

Yelp
8:26pm 10/01 No really, by all means gal at the front counter... be sure to finish reading your text messages as you continue to completely ignore me. Appreciate it.
google avatar

Marx M.

Yelp
The service is good, friendly folks, clean place. The food was better than most airport food, but nothing special, and overpriced like everything in an airport. Prolly one of the better choices for the D terminal.
google avatar

Joanie L.

Yelp
We shared the Banh Fire Bowl with the spicy sauce on the side - added chicken. We asked the server for the best dish for two people and she suggested this one - she said because it included rice. We used a bit of the sauce - would probably have been too overpowering if added directly. We weren't particularly hungry so this worked great. Lots of veggies, even too much chicken. Hard to get the right balance but I suppose one doesn't need to eat it all. All that said this was a good choice in the D corridor at this airport. We had our layover at dinner time - so this worked quite well.

Yelp
Forget snobbery, this is Vietnamese inspired fusion in an airport! Whadyawant, perfection? Get your butt over here, and stop looking at the Applebees grab-n-go options already. Our bowls of delight were especially good after a long trip to europe where, curiously, it's just hard to find asian food of any kind. The words Banh Fire Bowl spoke to my soul, and it didn't disappoint. I ordered it with chicken, and I do have some superlatives: moist, mighty smokey, perfectly cooked. The veggies (also generally tough to rustle up in europe) tasted especially fresh, again, a surprise in an airport. The decent beer selection (there's that europe problem again) rounded out a nice return to the States, even if we were sitting in Texas.

Yelp
Sahara was there and is always pleasant. The didn't have the soup I liked but I sat and chatted with her and others. Her attitude is contagious. It was a fresh breath of air as my last visit with bartender there was awful. I was glad to see Sahara there as I wouldn't have stopped if it had been the other The atmosphere was amazing due to Sahara and the happy customers. I'll be back

Yelp
Had a 3.5 hour layover so came here because of trusty Yelp reviews. Sadly, they no longer have banh mi! So disappointed. But we got the fire bowl with spicy jalapeño pesto and fried rice . They literally stir fry it all right then so this is not your typical airport food. The portions were so large that we all ate half, then finished it up on the very long flight to Honolulu!

Yelp
I've been craving Vietnamese food and was pleasantly surprised to find this place at the Dallas Fort Worth Airport! Located in Terminal C next between Gates C21 - C24 is a food court that where Banh Shop is located, next to Pinkberry (you know where I'm getting dessert!). I ordered the Vietnamese Style Chicken Noodle Soup for $15.49. It's similar to chicken pho and comes with the pho rice noodles, cubes of grilled chicken breast, scallions, cilantro, and lime. It was quite tasty, better than some Vietnamese restaurants I've visited. Banh Shop also sells sushi, California rolls, fried rice, and a few other Asian dishes. I enjoyed the noodle soup and would recommend it!

Yelp
Great, healthy option in a fast food court in terminal c at DFW. I got the fire bowl with tofu and it was delicious. Service was fast and friendly as well.

Yelp
First all, the place is awesome, from the staff to the management. I even met the owner and he went above and beyond to make sure not only my table but all the tables were taken care of. 2nd, let's Talk about the food!! The flavors and the options are incredible. We had the green curry and the fire bowl and they were like nothing I've ever had. The explosion of flavors was perfect. The lettuce wrap appetizers with chicken and pork, we shared a pork meatball bahn mi sandwich. We just kept ordering and sharing our food with our table. The adult drinks were also very well made. No cheating is with the alcohol here. The portions were huge and the quality of the meals were excellent. The decorations were very well done also. Made you feel like you were in a very upscale restaurant. The prices are very affordable. $12 bucks for a meal, $6 for an appetizer!! Come on. It was like 2005 in there on the menu.

Yelp
First time here and was a little confused by the takeout vs dine in arrangements. I was offered a choice and originally selected take out. I then decided to sit at a table there and eat my meal so I switched to dine in. The female bar tender with long brown hair immediately began taking down to me and berating me telling me I was take out. I was standing there with a ceramic bowl full of food. I shrugged my shoulders and went and sat at a table. It was open seating. I ate my meal and decided to leave my bowl and cup there for the bar tender to clean up since I was now dine in. She chased after me to tell me not to forget my trash because I was take out. I ignored her and kept walking. She then accused me loudly in front of other customers that I was shitting in her place of employment. Extremely unprofessional and discourteous staff for doing nothing more than sitting at a table and eating the food I purchased there. Will never return and will steer all I know away from that place until that bar tender is replaced.

Yelp
If you took 5 of the largest airports in the USA and compared the places to get a quality meal before a flight--this Thai restaurant would come out on top. Picture this: David is sitting on a 787 Jumbo Non-Stop to Dublin enjoying his large Brown Rice, Veggies, and Chicken Bowl while everyone else is waiting for pretzels. Good thing I was sitting in the back corner. Was it the absolute best Thai food I ever had? No. Was it one of the best meals you can have in an Airport? Yes. Would I get it again? Yes. Expensive? @18.00 with tax yea!--but it's the freak en airport! They have to put the rice through security. Nice accommodating staff. Major asset to DFW. I saw that airline employees also dine here.

Jay T.

Yelp
tall darker girl got some attitude problems. terrible food. even worse service. would not recommend
google avatar

Ankita S.

Yelp
I ordered the Banh fire bowl. Good portion size. Enough for two people. I had to ask for extra veggies in the bowl. If you're vegetarian, remember to check if they add fish sauce or not. Overall the food was decent. The server was great too!

S M.

Yelp
Decent food for an airport restaurant tasked with making quick meals for masses of people. I ordered the pad thai with chicken. The cashier who took the order double checked that I wanted all the ingredients and didn't want to make adjustments, which I appreciated. Pad thai was a larger portion than expected. The ingredients tasted fresh. The noodles were perfectly cooked imo - done, but not overdone/soggy. The flavor was a bit lacking in tamarind sauce to balance some of the saltiness. The chicken was tender and well portioned in comparison to the noodles. It had most elements of a typical pad thai, though memory escapes whether I got bean sprouts. Overall, decent experience and I'd try more things on the menu. The meal was $22 (base price for pad thai, plus 4.50 extra to add chicken). It was more than what I'd pay at my local thai restaurant for the same meal, but I was, after all, in an airport, so there was no cause to balk at the predictably highish price.

Yelp
In the midst of traveling through a busy airport, it can be difficult to find something that's both quick and affordable. You could go with the usual fast food places, but why would you do that when there's a fried rice joint planted in the airport too. This place is great. Small menu, relatively cheap, good portions, and they even offer the option of adding more rice. My order came out hot and steaming, which was perfect considering the weather when I was here. The bowl was full of veggies and the worker gave me extra sauce which was a nice touch. Overall great stop!
google avatar

Erin K.

Yelp
Highly recommend this restaurant in the airport. Food came out VERY quickly and exactly as I ordered. Fresh taste, very delicious and filling! I think I was there at an off-time since there was only really one staff member helping customers and also tending bar at the same time, but the pacing of my meal was fine even so. Since it was an off time I ended up lounging at the table after my meal was finished too. I would happily come here again. Thank you Banh Shop!
google avatar

Patricia R.

Yelp
Holy smokes! For a counter service airport restaurant this place is awesome! I had a steak and egg Banh mi and loved it. I'm so sorry I forgot to snap a pic because it was pretty too. Service. A+, Food A+ This is a winner when you've got time to eat between flights.

Yelp
This was SUCH a welcome stop after what has been a VERY challenging experience at DFW airport. We've been in this airport for 24 hrs after been denied boarding on our Qatar Airways flight. We are exhausted and hungry for a good meal. After our very disappointing meal meal just a few doors down the night before our view was bleak. However, the staff (Josh ) at Bhan Shop was super attentive polite and totally helpful. He had a super positive attitude and genuinely wanted us to have s good exp. We LOVED the FIRE Bowl and Pad Thai. We're vegetarians and asked for extra vegetables on the dishes. We wanted more and they happily obliged us with no extra charge and without hesitation. We were stoked considering we have 19 hours of flying ahead so the extra veggies were clutch. If you're in the DFW airport and want fresh to order food with staff that cares...go here.

Michelle T.

Yelp
Food was great but service attendants need to be trained appropriately. Staff not able to work the scan app.
google avatar

Maximilian R.

Yelp
Stumbled on this Vietnamese joint in D Terminal of DFW. Was very impressed with the menu and the restaurant had a modern design. I got the Bahn Fire Bowl. It came with a jalapeño sauce that was mildly spiced and had a significant serving of chicken (had to add on for $3). The only reason I didn't give this place 5 stars was because of the overkill of onions they included. I begin taking them out half way through the dish and had a mount of fried/diced onions left. However, I'd recommend this spot for someone looking for a quick bite of Asian flare food for a reasonable price.

Gabe M.

Yelp
Without any competition, the worst meal I have had in years. My food (a Vegan Fire Bowl) was bathed in oil and was almost inedible. I should have asked for a sieve.
google avatar

Neema P.

Yelp
An awesome airport option! Dallas seems to have a lot of good choices and this is up there as well. They make fresh bowls and I had the fried rice bowl because I was craving garlic/soy sauce but the green curry and fire bowl also looked amazing. It's a touch expensive but the portion is quite large. I loved seeing the veggies and meat go in fresh to the woks behind the counter unlike Panda where it's a scoop into a bowl situation. It made me feel healthier about my airport eating choices! If we're back in Dallas, no hesitation going back here to try a different bowl.
google avatar

Yelp
What the pho?? I was very excited to try this place because of all the great reviews. I did not have high expectations, but I did expect the banh mi to somewhat resemble a banh mi. I ordered the Grilled Pork Meatball Baguette. My thoughts were: this will either be a banh mi nem nuong or a banh mi cha lua. What I got was neither. It looks like cha lua, but when eating it, it has the texture of the fake meat tofu stuff. It was grainy too and didn't really taste like any Vietnamese flavor I've ever had. The carrots and daikons weren't pickled long enough and just tasted like carrot and daikon - no acidity. It sounds like I'm being super stuck up and harsh, but I'm stretching it if I say that this was a good banh mi, let alone a good sandwich in general. The service was very friendly though!

Yelp
Located in the DFW airport, the Bahn Shop was a pleasant surprise during our unexpected layover due to a cancelled flight... Bahn Service: We sat down shortly after they were open in the morning and our server was pleasant and friendly. She was always smiling and kept the drinks fresh for our party of 6. The kitchen did a good job of getting our dishes out to us timely. Very good service all around. Bahn Cuisine: All the dishes I sampled were flavorful and fresh. I had the spicy noodle bowl with chicken and it was delish. The noodles were tasty and the spicy flavor was perfect where I was sweating but it didn't burn the mouth. The broth from the chicken curry soup was savory and the steak bahn mi was put together well with fresh bread and beef. The serving size was generous for all our dishes. Banh Shop puts out restaurant quality Vietnamese dishes which is not something I experience often in airport restaurants. If I ever happen to be back at DFW with some time to spare I'm going to swing by Banh Shop for another noodle bowl. Safe Travels!
google avatar

Chad M.

Yelp
Ok. I did not know you could get good Viet cuisine at the DFW airport. I just had a Banh Mi Char-Grilled Steak and all was good. Of course, it is twice the cost but that to be expected at the airport. I know good bun and pho and this banh mi is really good. Beats MickD's all day long. Terminal C22. Get you some!
google avatar

Rosemary N.

Yelp
I was pleasantly surprised that this place is really good! I ordered fresh rolls and Vietnamese chicken soup, that was served with fresh herbs! Both excellent! I really didn't think it would be that good because it's in a food court with McDonalds and Pizza Hut. It's a gem of a find!

Kat ..

Yelp
Y'all!! The service and food is ridiculously good. I expected NOTHING from an airport restaurant, but this was legit high quality and so welcomed as we waited for our flight. Prices are as reasonable as they can be for airport. Manager and bartender checked on us regularly. Super happy with this choice. Now... let's get on a plane across the Atlantic.
google avatar

Yelp
Good tasting food at an airport! Pretty healthy as well! Who knew? Found this spot on a layover to Bakersfield. I got the Banh fire bowl ( chicken) and my wife got the chicken pad Thai. My food was amazing after a 4 hour flight, the pad Thai however was ok. It had a slightly overpowering fish oil taste. Bahn bowl 4 stars. Healthy factor and the fact that it's airport food brings it up to 5 stars.
google avatar

Fangfei L.

Yelp
The Banh Shop has great food especially considering that it's in an airport. Actually, I could even say that it's one of the best restaurants I've ever had in an airport. I ordered the pad thai and tofu sandwich. There was no one in the to-go line but quite a few diners in the actual restaurant area. Because of that, the service was quick, and I had my food in ~5 minutes which is perfect. I thought the service was friendly and efficient. As for the actual food, I didn't try it until I got on the plane. I thought the pad thai had pretty good texture. It didn't have as many toppings as I would have preferred and was mostly a dense amount of noodles. As for the bahn mi sandwich, I thought it could have been a bit more flavorful. Overall, definitely worth a stop if you are in the terminal anyway and looking for food.
