"The bright-red lettering looks smart against the artificial turf on a wall. For over 10 years, this small family business has been serving crispy bánh xèo pancakes alongside snacks. Try their bánh xèo tôm nhảy – the wafer-thin crispy crust is done in the style of Binh Dinh province, topped with fresh shrimps. Dip in fish sauce or peanut sauce for complementary flavours. Nem nướng is deep-fried pork sausage with a great peppery taste." - Michelin Inspector

Michelin Bib Gourmand for a reason! Cheap pork belly and beef banh xeo that really lives up to the hype especially the peanut sauce! I don’t get why everyone says it’s average or the portions are small. Like, bruh? For the price and being listed in the Michelin Guide, it’s already worth it! Just a suggestion; you might want to hire staff who can speak english to assist foreigners or tourists. When we dined, there were 3 staff, and we had a hard time communicating. Since you’re a Michelin Guide restaurant, expect a lot of non locals to visit.

This food is amazing. I stumbled upon it. Saw thr Michelin guide sign and had to stop. So glad I did. What a great experience. Also, nothing beats cutting your food with a pair of scissors. Pancakes were crispy. Grilled pork sausage was juicy. The sauces were 10/10. I will definitely be back.

The food is pretty average to be fair and lack flavour compared to its contemporaries. The nem lui were well cooked but lacked char and seasoning. The bo la lot also lacked any sense of charring and had little to no flavour. Portions were fine. Customer service is lacking as the team did the bare minimum.

Love the crispy, light, fluffy batter. It's a different twist to traditional recipe. But it works with the fresh, crisp small prawns. The dining room is clean, with sufficient service.

Great food. The dishes are simple but the flavors and textures are great. The omelette is crispy with herbs and rice paper. Nice afternoon snack for us!

I was expecting a lot when I saw they have the Michelin guide. However, prior to eating, I saw disappointing reviews online describing that the food was oily. I got the best seller pancake and it was indeed crispy with a nice crunch, and the sauces complimented. But, the pancake was indeed oily and the staff didn't walk through with me what the accompanying sides were or taught me how to eat it until he saw me doing it wrong. Imo, it wasn't up to the Michelin guide standard and I had the similar pancake somewhere else, where it had way better quality and service. So yes, overall it was disappointing.

We visited Bánh Xèo Cô Ba with relatively high expectations, as the restaurant has received a Michelin award. The setting is typically Vietnamese, though it lacks attention to detail, which isn’t necessarily a negative since many restaurants in Vietnam have a similar aesthetic. As Bánh Xèo is a traditional Vietnamese dish, I believe it should be prepared with coconut and as little oil as possible. Since this is the restaurant's specialty, I expected it to be nearly perfect. Unfortunately, the Bánh Xèo we had was quite greasy and lacked any hint of coconut flavor. The whole time, I found myself wondering what aspect of the meal earned them a Michelin award. On a more positive note, we also had the congee with shrimp, which was delicious, and the net lui was decent. However, the service left much to be desired. The staff seemed overwhelmed and did not respond well to our requests for more salad or rice paper. They also appeared stressed rather than welcoming or cheerful. All in all, the food had its moments, but given the Michelin status, I expected a lot more, particularly from their signature dish.

A Michelin restaurant with very special food. Lots of raw vegetables to eat. The food tastes average, but the service is good
