Such a cool place with great staff! The chicken was okay and the dishes aren’t as good as they should be for the price but Jasper and Nicky were absolutely awesome! I’m only taking a star away because when we went down for “happy hour”, (with a different bartender who’s name I don’t know) we were charged $8 a drink for a super sugary mule and a rum and diet (that was not diet) and to be honest, I’m not even sure their was alcohol in those drinks. We would have been better off ordering shots. The breakfast is great and if you do the full breakfast coupons it’s a really great deal! All in all, I really enjoyed it!

My sister and I wanted to have a fabulous meal before our show at The Orpheum. We were browsing through Open Table and this place really appealed to me. It looks beautiful and very historic. The menu looked great as well. We walked in at 530 on a Saturday night. I was very surprised to find no other diners on a Saturday evening. Yes, it was early, but was still surprised. Our server was attentive, bordering on hovering and intrusive. The food was served beautifully, but flavor was lacking and it was very underwhelming. We were there almost 2 hours and at no other time did any other diners arrive. A couple people sat at the bar for a short period of time, but that's it. BANK is beautiful and I would possibly go back for the beautiful atmosphere. It is located inside of The Westin hotel. And that's what the food reminded me of...mediocre hotel food.

What a fun venue for a stop before theater night downtown! Enjoy a great meal, inside the bank, with beautiful glass, unique wood carvings and more. Although the menu is small, food was well prepared and delicious. Those at my table enjoyed their meal, but agreed that the food needed to be served hot, not luke warm. Drinks were lovely, but weak and the ice quickly melted down the flavor. The wine list was way over priced, too. More summertime martinis needed to be on their drink menu. We had good service and enjoyed our evening at the "Bank".

We had family coming in for the holidays and my uncle wanted to eat out one night to give my wife a break from dishes and cooking. We were pleased to find a reservation for 10 on open table. Not being familiar with the location or menu we were pleased to find multiple option available for all the picky eaters in our group. The appetizer selection was good with many options and the key was our waiter who kept reminding us if we saw something we didn’t like or had questions about swapping things “he knew people” and would take care of it. So salads were delivered with dressing on the sides and steaks were butterflied and the salmon was delivered with the glazing on the side. (He was right, it was a lot sweeter than I would have appreciated on a wonderful filet of fish). Top this all off with having our own private room with adjustable Lighting and music volume controls (we all seemed to adjust one or both). I can’t say enough about the attention and service and again really love the diversity on the menu.

Best cheese curds I’ve ever had. Great service. Was only disappointed that the menu online had 10x the offerings of what was actually available when we went. Still great overall.

Hands the worst restaurant I've eaten at in years. Maybe ever. Exorbitant prices coupled with poor service, small portions and just really bad food. The first night I asked for the Bank burger with truffle fries medium rare. I got a hard hockey puck, completely overcooked and fries that didn't taste of truffle one bit. My table mate had asked for no tomato on hers. Of course there was a tomato slice on her equally overcooked burger. The following evening, not trusting the dinner menu, we ordered the charcuterie platter for $21, figuring they couldn't screw that up. We were wrong. The platter consisted of some apricots, raisins, pickles, olives ( which were the only redeeming factor), a stake piece of bread and some slices of bologna. BOLOGNA! Oh and a weird blob of something purple. My friend ordered a cup of vegetable soup which was literally the smallest portion of soup I've ever seen. Lukewarm with several pieces of veggies. I would never eat there again. Although the Moscow Mule was delicious. Service was subpar, very slow. Unfriendly bordering on rude.

We arranged to have a special dinner party at The Bank restaurant to celebrate my daughter's graduation with her masters from the University of Minnesota, and we could not be happier with how our event turned out. The restaurant is a hidden gem, located within the Westin Hotel downtown Minneapolis. (Yes, it is actually a vintage bank, with cooks in the kitchen behind what used to be teller windows, and a wine cellar in the former vault! The history adds ambiance, and the decor and architectural elements are simply breathtaking.) Parking is available in a ramp nearby or via valet at the hotel, making it more appealing than other places in the downtown area as well. Huge shout out to Catering and Sales manager, JENNIFER DELAGDO, who worked with me back and forth through many emails to plan and execute the event exactly to my vision. At Jennifer's recommendation, we reserved a private room in the corner of the main-floor restaurant, which proved its worth in gold as we had a couple of toddlers with us and a noisy, happy post-graduation-ceremony group. We were able to laugh and have all the fun we wanted without fear of disrupting other dining guests on the main floor. The food was exceptional, and we all enjoyed our meals by Executive Chef ERIC WIEDL immensely. In fact, we can't say enough about the food! It was truly delicious and a huge highlight. The room was beautifully set in the configuration that I had requested, and our head server, TERRY, took fabulous care of us, making sure we all had drinks as we arrived and that we enjoyed ourselves. The service was impeccable and professional. The personalized menu placed in each napkin was beautifully designed and printed, and it gave a special presence to the table -- truly the icing on the cake. This is not the cheapest place you could host a party, but for downtown Minneapolis properties, it is a hidden gem with beautiful ambiance, delicious food, solid drink menu and lovely private accommodations for a smaller group. Without hesitation, we highly recommend!
