Bankerhan Hotel

Una ubicación inmejorable, todo equipo, desde las chicas que estan en la recepción hasta las chicas de Peri estan en la cocinas son increíbles y os hacen sentir como que estais en casa..Un descubrimiento! One of the best experience in Istanbul. A lovely hotel in a perfect location, with whole staff full of smiles in their faces throughout our stay to make you feel that you are at home! Definitely this will be my "home/address" in Istanbul for my next stays

Had a lovely stay at the Bankerhan. The service and breakfast was good. I recommend getting a Seaview as you get a great view of the sea and surrounding area. Jazz music played in the evening from a local wine bar, but generally quite but 11-midnight. Close to the Galata tour and the harbour.

We were in Istanbul with friends for a celebration, and effectively took over the hotel. The staff were all incredibly helpful, working with us through the planning of the events, and even helping out with some immediate problem solving when we needed ice at 1 in the morning!||The rooms are all different, but all very clean and comfortable. The location can't be beat: the hotel is in Karakoy, but only a little bit up the hill, making it an easy struggle when returning to the hotel after a long evening out enjoying the city. Having stayed in several hotels in Istanbul on past trips, the Bankerhan will be my go-to hotel for return visits.

Great location, but overall a mediocre experience. The good: perfect location to explore Galata and Karaköy or pick up the tram, friendly staff, solid breakfast spread, decent view from the higher floors The not-so-good: cleanliness (floor in my room had that gritty dirty feeling), a non-working showerhead, air-conditioning option was not enabled on my thermostat so I had to choose between either a very warm room or street noise and smells from an open window. Also, as other reviewers have mentioned / as is fairly clear from photos online, the bathrooms only separated with a lightly frosted glass partition and in my particular room the door was not even frosted - something to keep in mind if privacy is a concern.

Mid range comfortable hotel very near the Galata Tower, good value as it gets in Istanbul. I booked direct on their website after checking prices and got the best deal. Rooms are very small but you have enough space as long as you keep tidy! Beds are very comfortable with lovely cotton sheets. In room safe and tv. The best thing was breakfast with lots of homemade food, eggs, fruit, breads olives, cheese etc plus lots of other stuff and very nice ladies in the kitchen keeping it stocked up because people linger over it. Reception staff are helpful if you want taxis or recommendations. |I only have a couple of criticisms. In our 4 night stay we had to ask for our room to be made up twice because it was forgotten. You are supposed to get a tea tray which we had to ask for several times on arrival, and even then the housekeeper kept taking it away. You get a mini bar but only water on the day of arrival which seems a bit skimpy for a hotel of this grade. However, overall a very comfortable stay.

What a wonderful hotel. Clean and in a wonderful location. Strong AC for the Americans 😆. Staff was extremely accommodating.

Shout out to Ms. Zeynep who went beyond and outsourced support to ensure a pleasant experience during my stay. She coordinated van services, medication pick-up, and all around an approachable attitude to ensure I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay.|I also want to acknowledge that the room was top notch! The bed was comfortable with fluffy pillows. It was so relaxing each time I came back to the hotel to simply relax. So incredible!|Thank you once again Ms. Zeynep!!!!!

A hotel where the staff does not listen to the customer complaints about the room, maybe because they only speak Turkish :(, does not meet my expectations. In addition, room and, especially, bathroom cleaning is less than acceptable.|The air conditioning took over an hour to cool the steaming hot room and the construction next door did not help either.
