Banks and Braes

What a wonderful, relaxing Bed and Breakfast. The hosts are welcoming, and the whole experience, from their beautifully decorated rooms (each with its own theme) to the sitting room and breakfast room, is a whimsical aspect of this place. It was the weekend getaway that we desired and Banks and Braes is somewhere we would highly recommend and will return to.

This is one of the nicest places we have ever stayed in. Built and decorated by the owners, Cory and Keri, to replicate an old English manor, guests experience an environment from another era. Rooms are themed and beautifully appointed. The dining and sitting rooms are filled with antiques and art and the hosts are often about sitting visiting with guests. What a treat to stay here and so close to home!

We had a just wonderful overnight at Banks & Brae B&B in Rosebud. It was like a dream come true at an English/Scottish Country home in the Prairie plains of Rosebud, Alberta. Banks & Brae is a stately 3 storey brick building inviting you for a wonderful experience. ||The beds are so cozy with comfortable couch and chairs to sit in. Each room is a themed room, the Lachlan, the feminine Ann Suite, the British room, the Scott room with others being developed. Our hostess, Kari toured us through the house and kindly showed us where everything was even the tea and cookies. Both hosts, Kari and Cory were friendly, kind and exuded hospitality. We felt like we belonged. After we got settled in our room, we visited down stairs in the drawing room where there was a games cupboard, many interesting books to read with plenty of couches for relaxing. I could have spent more time just reading and enjoying the peace and quiet of this lovely home. |We were very welcomed and made to feel at home. We noticed Cory's excellent detailed workmanship and marvelled at his superior accomplishments. The rooms were very tastefully decorated with antique furniture, many related pictures and beautiful china. The decor of the house gave you the feeling that you were in a country home from another place and time in England or Scotland. |Then in the morning, Cory made us a specialty coffee with the most delicious waffles and fruit even stopping for a friendly chat. After a hearty breakfast we were on our way to the Tyrell Museum in Drumheller. We were so happy about the WONDERFUL time we experienced at the Banks & Brae B&B. If you have an opportunity to go to the Rosebud Theatre, make sure you stay the night at Banks and Brae B & B for some peace and relaxation. It’s so worth it!

My sister and I spent a night at Banks and Braes. Highly recommend it. Cory and Keri are amazing hosts. The house is delightful. If you want a great get-away, check it out.

Cory and Keri are great hosts and their B &B is fabulous especially if you appreciate art and antiques. The king size beds are very comfortable, the rooms are large and quiet. We stayed 2 nights to see the Rosebud theatre but the Banks and Braes was worth every penny.

This period style B&B is both elegant and gracious as are the host Cori and Kari. The spacious rooms make you feel like you've arrived at an European country estate. Be prepared to sleep like royalty and enjoy a breakfast on fine china. Thank you for creating a lovely experience.

My new husband and I stayed for two nights this weekend as our honeymoon. It was amazing! Cory and Kari were superb hosts and we felt right at home. The house and decor were truly grand in vision and proportions. Our room, the Scot suite, with its kind sized bed and enormous windows would have not looked out of place in Victoria’s Empress hotel. Breakfast was generous and the personal touches of linen and chine were lovely. The eggs, fresh juice, and freshly made meals and condiments were amazing. We’re definitely telling all our friends! And we’ll be back! Thanks Cory and Kari.

This is one of the nicest places I have stayed at in a long time. The owners were very freindly. Rooms nicely appointed and beds were awesome .
