Amazing dinner tonight! Just stopped by the Chattanooga location since the Atlanta location never fails. Tough contest! Both are amazing! Staff was knowledgeable about allergies. Everything but tortillas and biscuits can be made gluten free. Highly recommend the fried green tomatoes with seasoned goat cheese!

Google
I couldn’t rate this place highly enough. Service was exceptional, very friendly. I got a GLUTEN FREE banana bread waffle and GLUTEN FREE fried tenders! If you’re gluten free, then this is the place for you- so many options and delicious. My partner had French toast (not gluten free) and also really enjoyed his meal. 10/10

Google
I came here today due to another place being closed and it was a nice rescue for someone new to requiring gluten free food. I was given a thorough explanation of the menu options and how food is prepared so that I could make the best informed decision on my order without fear of cross contamination. I ordered 2 eggs scrambled, bacon, GF toast, and an add on GF waffle. The sticker shock is why I’ve not given it a full 5 stars. I understand GF foods are more expensive, but I struggle to understand why one waffle can be justified to cost $12.99. It cost more than my eggs and bacon, which were great! I ordered a drink with my food and just mine alone cost just over $30. The atmosphere was adequate- good music played at an acceptable volume, but it seemed they were in a stage of re-stocking items and so boxes of food material were out and about and it felt like a film of grease was in the air and on the table. Not a fan of paper straws in general, but I understand how they can lower our harmful impact on the environment. My mom ordered blueberry pancakes and got 3 massive ones! Not GF and she said they were delicious but also pricey at $13.99 I believe.

Google
The staff here are super nice and it's a nicely decorated and welcoming spot. I had one of the best fried chicken sandwiches I've had in a long time. It was perfectly seasoned, crispy, juicy, and the sauce was delicious. This is more of a personal preference but I wish the bacon wasn't so crispy. It's shattering crispy which I know a lot of people like but so much fat is rendered off that you can't taste the bacon as much. I wish they had an upgrade option to get thick bacon. The sweet potato fries were on point as well. My wife got the omelet which she enjoyed as well. It was so big she had to take half of it home. We also go the Green Monster and the Apple Zing which were both refreshing. I really look forward to going back and trying some of the other menu items. Sorry about the half eaten sandwich picture but when they put it down in front of me, I started devouring it!

Google
The food was delicious and they made sure to mark mine as an allergy. Lots of options for gluten free / wheat free. Highly recommend. The staff were all great and kind too.

Google
Love this place! With my autoimmune disease I can't have gluten... And there were only a couple items on the menu that I couldn't have! 🤯 There's also a whole display case of cupcakes and desserts that are all gluten free as well! I got gluten free (with celiac precautions) fried chicken and waffles!!! Heavenly! The fried chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The waffle was fluffy. We're definitely coming back the next few days we're here! The service was also great. He gave us lots of recommendations for us!

Google
ALL CELIAC PEOPLE PLEASE COME HERE!! Have you dreamed about having fried chicken again that actually tastes good? Fried okra? Pasta? Key lime pie? Cupcakes? That's right, 90% of their menu is completely gluten free. Plus they are celiac aware, so they are very careful in the kitchen. I had the mac and cheese with chicken tenders and fried okra on the side! The breading was crispy AND well seasoned. I will be considering them for catering for my wedding next year

Google
They were so accommodating when we asked for egg whites only. The lady who bakes all the dessert personally checks on everyone. She even ran outside after we left just to ask how we liked the cheddar biscuit which was amazing! She was so sweet & I can’t say enough kind words about her!!!

Yelp
The food and service were great. Delicious food and it is gluten free as well. We don't require that, but I know others do. Charming little place.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite places to visit whenever I'm in Chattanooga or Atlanta. Most of their menu is gluten free or can be made gluten free and they use a dedicated fryer. Everything I've eaten here is great and finding tasty gluten free fried food is a dream come true. Their gluten free desserts and coffees are also great. They do offer dairy free options if needed. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is you have to order from the counter meaning even if you eat there you don't really have a server if you need anything and it can get a bit cramped when busy. That's my only complaint and it's never stopped me from eating there.
google avatar

Kyle M.

Yelp
Have eaten here a few times and it was fine, but picked up a call in order and walking out heard the staff complaining about not getting a tip. I'm sorry but that's inappropriate. If people want to tip when they just walk in and pick-up, it's their business but that's doesn't constitute a tip in my opinion. I'm sick of getting terrible customer service.
google avatar

Yelp
It was fine. The service was generally friendly but they were obsessed with forcing us to sit at a two top table when it was completely empty and we had our work with us - we really needed space. I'd have understood if it was crowded but they repeatedly directed us to the smallest tables and were unhappy when we insisted we needed a little more room. Again, totally empty, and I indicated we'd leave avoid it fill up. The food was average. I wasn't a huge fan of my latte. We had a gift card so it was more affordable but I think we'd be unhappy had we paid full price. I don't think we'll be back with so many great options in the area, but it's an okay place to go as it is not crowded.

Scooter B.

Yelp
The food is fine but the cost for what you get is not worth it. A $7 side of fruit had 2 orange slices and a couple apple slices. Would not recommend.

Yelp
First and foremost, the food was delicious. We ordered scrambled and over easy eggs, grits, bacon, chicken fingers and pancakes. All were scrumptious, even if they did forget the cheese on the over easy eggs, then brought out some shredded COLD cheese in a cup! Now the reason for the 4 not 5 stars. The pricing! Breakfast for two people was $52. A single pancake was $6.00. I'm all for capitalism, but dang... $6.00 for one pancake. Then, they brought the food to the table as it was ready. So, the eggs arrived first, with a biscuit. We hadn't ordered it, but thought it came with the eggs. We happily tried it because it looked great, but it was doughy and undercooked. Then, upon further inspection of the receipt, the biscuit was $4.00. Again, the breakfast was delicious (except the biscuit), just be sure to check the prices BEFORE ORDERING. And, if you didn't order a biscuit, don't eat it, because they will not refund you. Anyway, I will say the prices were available, but we just ordered what we wanted, never thinking we'd be $52 in.

Yelp
Lots of gluten free options. I ordered the chicken strips- since I haven't had good GF strips forever, and a side salad and roasted Brussels. My boyfriend ordered the 4 pc fried chicken, potato salad, and Brussels. The Brussels were fried, not roasted, so really greasy meal when you add fried chicken. Also my salad was about 4 spinach leaves, a cucumber slice, and a cherry tomato. Seriously. Ridiculous. They were out of half of the menu it seemed. The machines for juice were broken and we watched a VERY LARGE cock roach cross the floor behind us. The table next to us also witnessed the roach. It was about 2 or more inches long. I don't say LARGE Just because. I almost asked for our money back then. I should have taken pictures. My boyfriend suffered from diarrhea that night which made him not feel well during our kayak race the next day. I'd say his food there was the cause. It's an order at the counter and they bring it to you place. Not fancy, but ok. They have a dessert case where you order. I did get a GF carrot cake cupcake and a brownie. The carrot cake was extremely dry. The brownie was good, but so rich and sweet it became 4 servings for me. I guess that's a plus. Decor was like a new diner. You could sit at a counter area near where they made the food. If we weren't a party of 4 we should have.

Yelp
Wonderful and delicious food for the celiac disease person. I have never had food in a restaurant this good since being gluten free. Friendly and sweet people are who you will encounter here. Even desserts are offered, I tried the chocolate chip cookies...

Patty D.

Yelp
These desserts are the best , gluten free, tiramisu, cupcake and banana pudding I've ever ate. Don't forget to try the tenders, you won't regret it.

Julio J.

Yelp
This place is so good, it's hard to find any flaws with them. The service is 10/10, you always will feel welcomed. The first entrees that stick out would be there to die for chicken Alfredo pasta and their chicken tenders entree. This place is a must try for any tourist!!!!

Yelp
Such a great find. Food is delish! Gluten free options available and the biscuits and gravy is incredible.

Yelp
Oh my goodness this food is amazing! We arrived in town worn out and hangry. This was close to the hotel so we stopped by. The service was super friendly. When we got back to the room and tasted the chicken strips and bourbon chicken. Wow! Fresh and full of flavor! Best chicken ever. We will be back!
google avatar

Amanda V.

Yelp
Amazing food!!! Almost everything is gluten free except the biscuits. One of the only places with gluten free fried chicken. The staff is amazing and the food is even better.
google avatar

Yelp
WOW! WOW! WOW! You would have thought we were royalty because they rolled out the red carpet. This particular location is family owned and you can 100% tell the love, care and detail they put in EVERY day! First of all eating out of town can be stressful but with all of our Celiac Disease, allergies and medical dietary restrictions it's near impossible. They made special to order everything and it was... Hot! Delicious! Correct! and came out FAST! Also I love when restaurants bring out the kids food first. Adults can wait but this is such a nice touch when places do that. Overall Perfection! We could not have asked for more...the perfect family night out! All I can say is THANK YOU!

Tommy K.

Yelp
I'm a college guy--don't have much money. $30 for breakfast tacos and orange juice... I'll make my own next time.

Yelp
Gluten free dairy free heaven! If you have food allergies, this is the place for you! So many different options. They even have gluten free dairy free pancakes and waffles. My wife got the chicken skillet sans cheese and it SLAPPED! I got the Monterey bourbon chicken with friend green tomatoes and it was delicious! I cannot say enough good about this place. Great customer service and run by some seriously awesome people.

Yelp
If you're looking for a place to eat for breakfast and lunch, in Chattanooga, this is the place to go hands down!! My husband and I stopped in during our honeymoon and couldn't thank the staff enough! The food was amazing and is every celiac/gluten free persons dream! This was the best restaurant experience ever! We will be coming back for sure!
google avatar

Jill B.

Yelp
Gluten-free pancakes! Eating out hasn't been easy since having to go gluten-free. Many restaurants will claim to be GF then only have omelets & salads as their options. The food was delicious, bacon was perfectly cooked and grits so creamy. We visited on Mother's Day and it wasn't busy when we arrived. Less than half the tables were occupied and the large majority of the non-occupied were dirty as if they didn't have anyone bussing tables. For a quick service restaurant, the pricing was steep (we paid $78 before tip for my family of five).
google avatar

Atlee M.

Yelp
Pure love. This place met and exceeded every expectation. At 98% gluten free, I was able to safely enjoy pretty much whatever I wanted. Beyond its GF status, it has some of the best fried okra and sweet jalapeño corn bread that I have had in years. I know this is a franchise but other than name, this one holds on to its uniqueness and mission of the founding chef. I ordered the southern breakfast with the creaminess grits, bacon, eggs over east, jalapeño corn bread and a small side of okra. I am not overly full, but very satisfied. I can't believe this place doesn't have more hype! I plan to tell everyone. I am also sad I couldn't eat the full menu and plan to come back in a few days to get things to take home.

Yelp
I was unable to experience the sit-down version of this spot but oh my gosh, let me tell you. For Easter weekend, my family ordered out from Bantam & Biddy. Being celiac I was SO excited to try out their food. The mac & cheese.... I still dream about it, I can't stop thinking about it, & I cannot wait to come back to 'nooga just to have that Mac & Cheese once more. Their other food was great too, I loved the mashed potatoes, so yummy. The dessert cups were delicious as well, we got banana pudding &chocolate pudding. LET ME TELL YOU. That chocolate pudding had gluten-free oreo crumbs on it & I could not get enough. That's all, please try this place out, for me, lol. Whether you're gluten-free or not, trust me, you'll want to be back!

Heather B.

Yelp
First, whether you are gluten free or not, there is no way you won't love this food! Don't pass it up! This is the best gluten free lunch I've had in years. The fried mushrooms were just over the top good. The first ones I've had in years. The family that owns and runs it is so kind, and they really get how important being able to eat safe food is for those of us with celiac or food allergies. The first thing they asked was "do you have any allergies?" I can see myself making the two hour drive to Chattanooga just to eat here again!

A R.

Yelp
Stayed in town for Alexandra Kay concert. Had brunch at Bantam & Biddy and was so pleasantly surprised! Such wonderful staff, food, and coffee. We will come back next time we are nearby.

Yelp
Absolutely stellar customer service and amazing food! Best coffee- will definitely be back! Also they have several gluten free yummy options for food sensitive folks. Everything is made from scratch- no microwaves here!!

Kelli B.

Yelp
Absolutely fabulous! Our crew of 11 enjoyed this place so much. Several have gluten sensitivities and we were all accommodated with incredible kindness. There was a man who went above and beyond to be helpful but we didn't catch his name :/ We desperately need one of these in Birmingham, Alabama!

Yelp
The best gluten free food I have ever had. I am gluten sensitive (same symptoms as celiac) so I am always on the lookout for new places. While visiting Chatt, we were looking for a breakfast spot, and we found Bantam & Biddy. First off the service is amazing. It's a walk up to the counter and order kind of place. The woman who took our order was so sweet, made sure to explain the celiac procedures, and made sure I knew what I could order (which includes all fried items, all the sides, and cakes, cookies, brownies). I ordered the gluten free pancakes and a side of the fried chicken. Omg, the fried chicken was amazing. The flavor was good, the breading was light. The pancakes had the right amount of chew and weren't dry or grainy like a lot of gluten free items. The manager (maybe owner) came over and talked to us. Let us know the woman who took our order was his mom. We chatted and laughed. I will definitely will be back. Heck, I'll drive here from where I live in Georgia to eat here anytime. Even if I am 2 hours away.

Jake S.

Yelp
If you're gluten free come here. This place is excellent, by far some of the best gluten free food we have had to date. Chicken and cheddar waffles were insanely good. My spouse is gf but I am not and I couldn't tell a difference at all compared to non gf counterparts. Very well priced as well, not overpriced like many gf places we have been. Service was very attentive and informative about what they could offer. Everything on the menu except 3 things were all gluten friendly. Ambiance was very chill, we went on a week day so take that into consideration, I imagine this place gets popping on weekend mornings.

Daniel A.

Yelp
Absolutely terrible service. Workers were very rude and showed a displeasing attitude throughout the service. Food was undercooked. Homeless people all around the front door as well. Would not go back.
google avatar

Kyron W.

Yelp
Yo! My two friends ordered Caesar salads and I ordered the skillet. It was AMAZING. The skillet consisted of Potatoes, roasted chicken (at least what it tasted and looked like), peppers, then eggs on top of that, then their famous incredibly battered chicken strips! Large portion size and an incredible meal! I urge you to order the eggs "soft scrambled with cheese" if you're into that. That's how I got them. I also had a honey cinnamon cold brew suggested by our enthusiastic and helper server. The flavor was really good but it was very sweet. The ambiance was kinda of weird and disorganized at the bar area as it looked like they were moving out (or in). Plus, the RR was way down the hall and not attached the restaurant. No biggie but because of that I give it "4 stars". Food was a 5 though!!! Check out the skillet! All in all a great experience!
google avatar

Jennifer C.

Yelp
When I ordered I was asked if I was celiac. They also brought my husband's food Celiac, so I could try his sides. The fried chicken, macaroni & cheese, sweet potato fries, jalapeno corn muffins and fried Brussels were all delicious. They also carry my favorite Gluten free beer and several different gluten free cakes, brownies and no bake cookies. The kind gentleman who runs it is very knowledgeable. We came on a Sunday and had the opportunity to talk to him. I found out they also sell their chicken breading, waffle mix and have seasonal meal kits/family dinners. I recommend following them on Instagram. Chattanooga is so lucky to have this restaurant. I can't wait to go back. It was so worth the hour drive.

Baylen G.

Yelp
Was super hesitant at first seeing all do the food be labeled "GF" but the hostess at the counter reassured me everything labeled was just as such. Service was amazing, food was even better. After 3 years of being diagnosed with celiac disease this is the absolute best GF food (and just food in general) I've ever had!

Emma S.

Yelp
So many gluten free options!! Fried gluten free stuff!! 10/10 gf chicken tenders!! Good iced coffee too
google avatar

Maggie E.

Yelp
The chicken sandwich from Bantam & Biddy was delicious, full of good flavor and the mayo had a nice touch. The service was great she introduced us to what they are all about and gave great descriptions of the dishes and many homemade sauces! Very chill atmosphere, great place to hang with some friends!
google avatar

Vicky S.

Yelp
Amazing!!! I cannot express how exciting it is to find a restaurant that understands celiac disease and offers such a huge variety of options. They have an entire case when you walk in of gluten free desserts too! Everything was delicious!!
google avatar

Lauren M.

Yelp
Wow! THE best gluten free fried chicken I've EVER had! This is a must stop for brunch if you have celiac -- the food is fantastic, great service and cozy atmosphere. I've found so many little GF gems downtown, and this is definitely one of the best. Filling, generous portions, super tasty. Everything is perfectly seasoned too. This will definitely be a go-to spot when I'm in Chattanooga!
google avatar

Kathleen H.

Yelp
Actually found this one off of another person that has to be gluten free. Was cautiously optimistic. Didn't disappoint. Amazing chicken, amazing waffles, and she sent me home with Oreo cake because I couldn't eat anymore. Can't wait for tonight. Must see for anyone with Celiac or a sensitivity.
google avatar

Yelp
This spot for breakfast was magical. Very magical. I always have to ensure wherever we go has gluten free options due to my wife being celiac. And boy, did this place deliver. Nestled in the heart of Chattanooga on Market Steeet, B&B is a gem of a spot. You walk in and give your order at the counter, which I like because it's over and done with and you can just grab a table knowing the food is coming. The iced coffee is divine and got my blood moving. Had a nice richness that had mocha with a tinge of hazelnut on the palate. My wife loved the Southern which was all gluten-free from the cornbread to the fried okra. She loved the pimento cheese to the point she took some of mine that I ordered for my biscuits and gravy spicy breakfast. The biscuits are deliciously made with goodness. Crusty on top, flaky and soft on the inside. The biscuit compliment the savory of the gravy, which I additionally enjoyed with two farm eggs served over medium and bacon. Because why would I order breakfast without bacon? That would be preposterous. The serving staff are lovely. Very hospitable and helpful with the ordering and ensuring we had what we wanted. They even have $1 mimosas from 10 to 3 during the weekend! How great is that! Before we left, we received a complimentary gluten free slice of coconut cake, which my wife loved. Here at Bantam & Biddy, they know how to treat people right, especially travelers from out of state like us.

Reed W.

Yelp
This place is amazing for anyone wanting great cooked to order dining. It is especially great for those with Celiac. We were greeted at the door and asked about food allergies. As soon as they found out about my wife's allergy, they treated us like we were their only customer. There was only two items in the menu that had gluten. The dessert counter was completely Celiac friendly. We felt as if we were dining with family. Anytime we travel through Chattanooga, we will dine at B & B.

C M.

Yelp
Very strange environment. I had a uncomfortable interaction with the cashier who looked at me like I was an idiot for asking if the eggs came scrambled. After finally landing on a meal (bc they were out of everything I asked for) it took 45 min- 1 hour for it to come out...with only 2 other couples there. The fruit cup was so gross I couldn't even identify what the mushy brown thing was...it was a banana. looked like a piece of soggy chicken- completely inedible. Couple next to us sent their avocado toast back too. Not worth the money at all, I can't believe this place has good reviews.
google avatar

Leah D.

Yelp
Hands down the best gluten free fried chicken ever! Whether you have Celiac's or not, this fried chicken will change your life! The sides are also incredible! You can't go wrong with anything you get here--fried okra, macaroni and cheese, fries, or chicken. You will love it all! We will drive from hours away just to eat here!

Colleen M.

Yelp
Great spot for Celiacs. So accommodating and friendly about it which is always a treat. Being able to go out to eat somewhere and trust that celiac precautions are taken is so very much appreciated!
google avatar

Alphia B.

Yelp
We had chicken and waffles, and they offered to make me a scrambler instead of an omelette because I wanted my ingredients incorporated. The meal was amazing and delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised and amazed that gluten free food could taste so good. The owners were very friendly and helpful.
google avatar

Shandelle B.

Yelp
Stopped in for brunch. Great food, but slow service. We were greeted immediately, but then left to our table for almost 20 minutes before anyone checked on us again. Our server apologized profusely though and the manager even came out to apologize as well. We quickly forgave them when we tasted the food! The gluten free pancakes were gigantic and so delicious! The bacon and fruit were great and tasted very fresh. Mimosas and coffee were just icing on the cake. I would definitely consider eating there again when I'm back in Chattanooga. There are several gluten free and vegetarian/vegan options. They also have a coffee bar with grab and go options as well.
google avatar

Maryn R.

Yelp
I don't know how this place has only 4.5 stars on here. This was easily one of our favorite places when we were visiting. Truly delicious food. Safely accommodates gluten free and celiac. The best (and gluten free) chicken and waffles. If you're looking for amazing southern food you'll find it here. 10 out of 10.
google avatar

Ryan H.

Yelp
So many gluten free options! This is more of a fast food place however. The food was pretty good, would come back if we were in the area.
google avatar

Christie S.

Yelp
best. chicken. ever. and cannot believe it is gluten free!!!! and don't even get me started on the waffles!! also gluten free! just amazing.
google avatar

Laura C.

Yelp
So happy to have found gluten free fried chicken!! It was delicious. They took our food allergies seriously and we felt safe eating there.

Jennessa C.

Yelp
Amazing food!!! A Celiac's dream come true. The fried chicken is to die for. Please open one up in Huntsville or Madison AL. Clift Farms in Madison would be the perfect location for this place!

Ron M.

Yelp
Food Coma Amazing food and amazing service. Desota did a great job in her recommendations and checking on our table. Tegess took the time to explain their menu and celiac precautions. The food was delicious period. It's not just for people with gluten intolerance, everyone will enjoy. We had the fried green tomatoes, deviled egg potato salad, Mac & cheese, and chicken finger skillet. Sooooo good and welcoming! Gluten free beer too!
google avatar

Yelp
My wife, 5 kids and I were looking for a place to eat while in Chattanooga. My wife has a lot of dietary restrictions, mainly Gluten Free. This restaurant has everything GF!! And it was all so delicious. We both had chicken tenders. My wife was so ecstatic to get GF Fried Okra! I had Brussels sprouts (they were a tad bit burnt but still very tasty) and the cheddar mashed potatoes (which were very delicious). All of the kids enjoyed their meals. We do desperately wish we had a GF restaurant like this nearby us. We will be back anytime we are in the area. Highly recommend!
