New Portland Food Cart ThiccBoi Is Slinging Saucy Tenders and Wings on NE Alberta - Eater Portland
"When Jacob Palmer opened ThiccBoi at the Bantu Island pod in January, it wasn’t just a food cart: It was an opportunity. The cart serves an array of chicken wings and tenders tossed in sauces like Buffalo, hot honey, barbecue jerk, or orange-chicken-adjacent “orange curry,” as well as things like garlic rice and a brioche-bun chicken sandwich with pickles and slaw. But beyond a chicken cart, ThiccBoi was Palmer’s opportunity for a platform, a community space." - Brooke Jackson-Glidden
Great carts, lots of options, and love the beer mostly. Conscious Sedation has a good beer selection, live music, and plenty of covered seating.
The food pod is not well managed and and stuff is half open and businesses come and go.

The taco place is the same as a great restaurant on Burnside. Great fish tacos. The Thai place was disappointing. Didn't try the famous Kabbas kitchen. Pod is small and not the cleanest and tough parking but otherwise liked it.

Great pod. The African place is sooo good. So is the sushi place with the burritos. Mmmm... I'll definitely be back.
