"Why book? This five-star, all-suite hotel in Bangkok's Sathorn/Silom district offers a sleek executive lounge for business travelers, a sumptuous spa for vacationers, and a spectacular rooftop bar with 360-degree views of Bangkok for everyone in between.Set the scene With some of the largest rooms in Bangkok, the hotel attracts travelers that appreciate the finer things in life. Upon check-in, we observed lovey-faced honeymooners canoodling in the lounges, business executives in dark, tailored suits making Very Important Calls in the lobby, and an enormous Indian family with more luggage than a baggage claim blocking the elevators. While there are few amenities for babies and toddlers, we did notice a few well-heeled families traveling with children in grade school. The backstory Owned by Singaporean multinational hospitality brand Banyan Tree Holdings Limited, the high-rise hotel opened in 2002. Though some of the design choices feel a little dated now (the pinwheel carpeting designed to mask stains, for example), it’s timelessly chic from a business traveler’s POV. Nothing feels particularly worse for the wear, and some rooms—like the two-bedroom suites—have been recently renovated. The rooms Bigger than some New York City apartments, the guest suites range from 474 square feet for an Oasis Retreat room with one king bed up to 1,540 square feet for a two-bedroom suite designed to accommodate families or friends. Suites include a large desk for working remotely and long, dramatic settees; spacious bathrooms with rainfall showers, deep soaking tubs, double vanities, and Japanese-style toilets; and kitchenettes with minibars and espresso machines. Depending on what you book, guests may be treated to free-flowing beer and evening canapés in the Club Lounge, as well as limited laundering and garment-pressing services. While all rooms include incense sticks and candle-lit diffusers, there’s also a special Spa Sanctuary Retreat with unlimited in-suite spa services, including as many 60- and 90-minute massages as a guest can handle. The design of all rooms, from the smallest single to the Presidential Suite, are clean and minimalist with a smooth, masculine edge (think dark leather furnishings, padded wall panels, and dagger-like objets d'art that wouldn’t look out of place in a weapons museum). Rates start at $150 per night.Food and drink Decadent seafood platters and grilled steak are the things to order at Banyan Tree Bangkok’s rooftop restaurant Vertigo. (There are vegetarian options, too, including a three-course set.) If you just want a drink, that’s perfectly fine too: Moon Bar, located on the 61st floor, serves some Thai-inspired cocktails (try the purple Khor lik Nung featuring Saneha Thai gin, Asian vermouth, pineapple-honey shrub, and lime). Given the view, it’s no wonder this is a hit with the Instagram and TikTok set; the night we visited, we spotted Australian, French, Spanish, Slovak, and Korean tourists all taking selfies with the glittering city as their backdrop. The spa Banyan Tree as a company is known for its exceptional spas and this one is no different. From the crystalline bamboo art installation to the opulent Thai textiles smoothed across padded massage beds, it spares no attention to detail. Most treatments take their cues from Thai, Chinese, Indonesia, and Indian traditions and include a calming foot bath and herbal refreshments. If you’re not sure where to begin, consider a muscle-melting Thai massage followed by a refreshing kaffir lime body scrub. The neighborhood/area It’s located in the Sathon/Silom neighborhood, a central business district with numerous embassies, schools, office buildings, hotels, and restaurants. It’s walkable to sprawling Lumpini Park, one of the largest and best manicured green spaces in Bangkok, and a reasonable tuk-tuk ride away from the Grand Palace, Temple of the Emerald Buddha, and other big tourist draws. Just under 22 miles from Suvarnabhumi International Airport (BKK), bank on a taxi ride taking anywhere from 45 to 90 minutes. The service Hotel is attentive without being overbearing, always two steps ahead in terms of anticipating what guests want or need. This is particularly true of the hushed and reverent service we experienced in the 19th-floor Executive Lounge, a lovely respite from the chaos in the streets below. From cold towels and lemongrass tea upon arrival to breakfast bags packed up and ready to go for guests with red-eye flights, the workers make every guest feel like the King of Siam. Accessibility The hotel offers handicap-accessible rooms, as well as ramps and elevators in every public space except for the Saffron Sky Garden and Vertigo rooftop. Anything left to mention? Though you may think clubby bars are not for you, Banyan’s rooftop boîte is a must-see. Yes, the cocktails are pricey by Bangkok standards. Yes, you will feel underdressed when you get an eyeful of the beautiful people who flock here. But the phenomenal 360-degree views of the city make it all worth it." - Ashlea Halpern

"With a rooftop bar called Moon Bar and a traditional Cantonese kitchen called Bai Yun (roughly translated as white clouds), it’s no surprise that Banyan Tree is offering a multitude of mooncakes that range from traditional to contemporary such as the ever-popular durian." - Colin Ho

One of my most cherished memories at Banyan Tree Bangkok was a special dinner shared with my angel. The food was exceptional—delicious and beautifully presented. The view from the restaurant was simply breathtaking, adding a magical touch to our evening. What truly stood out, though, was the outstanding service. The staff were all incredibly kind, friendly, and attentive. I’d like to give special thanks to K. Jimmy, K. Film, and K. Tai. They are truly wonderful people who went above and beyond to attend to every detail and make our evening unforgettable. We chose this restaurant to celebrate a special occasion, and we were so impressed that we are already planning to return. Thank you for making our night so memorable.

We had an unforgettable evening at Moon Bar Restaurant! The food was absolutely amazing — each dish was bursting with flavor, beautifully presented, and made with the freshest ingredients. From start to finish, every bite was a delight. What truly made the night special was the exceptional service. A big thank you to Saw, Bee, Jane, and Art for taking such great care of us. They were warm, professional, and incredibly attentive, making us feel welcomed and valued throughout the entire experience. Their genuine hospitality made a lasting impression. The rooftop view was stunning, the atmosphere was elegant yet relaxed, and the overall experience was five stars all the way. Highly recommended for anyone looking for fantastic food, top-notch service, and a memorable night out. We can’t wait to come back!

From the moment we arrived, the hotel exuded sophistication and comfort in equal measure.special thanks to Mr.Wat for his cheering welcome. The check-in process was seamless, with the staff offering a warm welcome and refreshing drinks. The room was nothing short of stunning. Spacious, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully designed, it featured plush bedding, modern technology, and a breathtaking view from the balcony. Every detail—from the soft lighting to the aromatic bath amenities—was clearly curated with care and luxury in mind, the hotel organized a birthday cake for my wife and surprised us with a beautiful decoration for that special occasion 😍 Dining at the hotel was an experience in it self ,we booked in the vertigo too in door restaurant to celebrate my wife’s birthday and it was an excellent evening ,the waitresses are kind and helpful, the food was excellent the atmosphere and everything. We tried the vertigo moon bar sky bar and it was even better, the staff took us a picture and offered it tous in a Nice card . Breakfast at the hotel was undeniably delicious. The quality of the ingredients was excellent, and each dish was thoughtfully prepared and well-presented.However, the variety was somewhat limited. While everything offered was tasty and satisfying, I would have appreciated a broader selection—especially for a hotel of this caliber. A few more international options or local specialties would have elevated the morning experience even further. So,if you’re looking for a hotel that offers you attention and takes care detail that will make your stay unforgettable, choose Banyan tree Bangkok .

I had a lovely experience at this restaurant. From the moment we arrived, the ambiance set the perfect tone—warm lighting, tasteful decor, and music that added to the atmosphere without overpowering conversation. KARMKUNG Our waitress was exceptional—attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. The food selection was impressive, with plenty of options to suit a variety of tastes. I ordered the salmon, which unfortunately came out a bit dry. However, the staff handled it with professionalism and care, quickly offering a replacement without hesitation. The second dish was perfect and really showcased the kitchen’s capabilities. Overall, it was a delightful evening. Great service, great vibe, and a team that clearly cares about guest satisfaction. I’d definitely return.

We went to dine at the Vertigo and Moon Bar. Fantastic, panoramic views of the city’s skyline. We came just in time for the sunset, with great photo ops. We had the duck salad, the grilled shimps and pork chops, which were all good, esp the salad. We were surprised by how big the portions were. And our waitress, Tam was really sweet and attentive. Overall a great experience!

1. View is good especially at Moon Bar. If you stay at Ban Yan tree BKK, must visit because there will be entry fee THB 800 for outsider visitor but in-house is free entry, 2. Room cleanliness is honestly tell that; a) shower room has smells from drainage especially for 1st night but after shower, smells will be lesser.. b) amazing bath amenity that bath foam and bath oil, salt are awesome, pls try it however mold on the bath amenities area, which around the light that you won’t see it unless doing bath.. 😅3. For check-out, you better to check the bill because, there was on daily extra charge around THB 60+ which for donation of Turtle 🐢that we never get information .. front desk staff genuinely removed it from bill.. it’s better to inform guest upon check in for better communication if needs to avoid inaccurate billing issue. 4. MRT, exit 2 and just go straight then you will see the hotel but need walk around 10-15min. Good thing is 7/11 very near not even walk 3min and you can buy the SIM card if needs.. THB99 for 5 days 10 GB which cheaper than airport. 5. Only outdoor pool they have, a bit small area which two people swim then feel already crowded 🤣6. Some of housekeeping polite but not all. HSKP staff was explained that wet bathrobe was just hanged inside bathroom, once informed to HSKP staff, she helped to change but just directly open the wardrobe without any permission which made feeling uncomfortable. 7. Room has glass bottle of waters provided as complimentary. However the cover has some smells but the water still fine. 8. Noise from road even we stayed at 57F, some of cars seems taking shooting for fast & Furious 🙂↔️🙂↔️ Recommend as experience ..

We had a nice 3- course dinner in Vertigo. The view was hindered by the fog as it was raining hard, but service was really good. Our waiters, Harit and Vicky were really attentive. Food was well cooked and was served timely. We had a good time and they even served us a complimentary birthday dessert.
