Introducing the World’s “First Fusion Food” – Macanese Cuisine

"Listed as a Selected Restaurant in the MICHELIN Guide Hong Kong & Macau 2023, this is the recommended stop for Pastéis de Bacalhau—the oval fritters made from bacalhau (dried and salted cod) soaked in water and milk, mixed with potatoes, eggs, parsley, and onion, then deep-fried." - Hei Kiu Au

We went there on Friday for dinner. Although there was only one waitress, she was really nice and tried her best to cater everyone needs. We waited for a bit to order, but the food came quicker than expected. It was a Asian fusion restaurant, so there were Japanese, Chinese and Korean style dishes on the menu. We ordered Chicken Ramen and Tofu Pudding Rice Noodles. The ramen was more like Chinese style instead of Japanese, the soup and the chicken were cooked like Chinese style, so it was not what we expected but it was interestingly good. The rice noodles was tasty as expected. I would love to go back and try other dishes on the menu too.

A 3.75/5, could be a solid 4/5 though There's pros and cons, and I talked to the two employees about this feedback Pros: - Chicken meat is exceptional, takes off the bone with just a thought - Very humid due to close proximity of cooking to the door, YMMV for this one - The place is close to two pubs+other places so you can just hop on to different locations Cons: - Subpar presentation than Isekai Ramen, and Hello Asian Fusion - No small plate to place my chopsticks, fork, etc.. You can only place it to the side of the bowl, which might drop the sauce into the handle of the utensils(VERY ANNOYING) - bad chopsticks, need to use 2/6th of the chopstick to pick up food instead of the tip (my biggest dissatisfaction here) - No straw in glass of water since glasses might look dirty to other people, but this is a minor inconvenience, so that's fine - Very humid atmosphere, no sweating allowed ahaha You may be able to chill here, but it's just has many minor inconvenience adding up leading to a bad experience. Not a good book reading location that's for sure.

Fast, Friendly Staff. Food was Super Delicious, Tried the Tonkatsu Miso Ramen. Broth was rich, noodles were perfect texture. Definitely will be back in the future.

Favorite ramen shop in the city! Ordered the takoyaki, which was perfect as always! And the Akuma miso ramen 🍜 which was amazing, favorite ramen so far 🔥 The service is always exceptional! Overall, Banza Noodle is off the charts 11/10 ⭐ 🙌 if you haven't been, you need to change that asap!

I recently visited Banza for dinner and was very disappointed with both the food and the service. I ordered the Akuma Mazesoba, which came with an extremely strong-smelling bamboo shoot. The menu didn’t mention this at all, and the smell was so unpleasant that it completely ruined my appetite. On top of that, the noodles themselves were bland and lacked flavor. When I asked the server about the bamboo shoot and why something so overpowering wasn’t noted on the menu, the response I got was dismissive—just “it’s like that,” with no explanation or effort to make the situation better. The environment is clean overall but there lots of noise from the kitchen.

Great spot to sit down, relax and enjoy a meal. The soup here is full of flavour, artistic presentation also. Recommend checking this place out if you’re in the area.

We tried this place tonight for the first time. We had the Langya potatoes, Beef noodles, Shoyu ramen and spicy miso Ramen. The flavors were unique and the broths were excellent. Will definitely come again. Highly recommended!

Google
Been meaning to try this place forever and I’m so glad I did! I ordered the miso tonkatsu ramen and added their special pork and bok choy - one of the best ramen I’ve had. Also ordered the crinkle cut fries (assuming they were the frozen kind) they were not - they are homemade and amazing! Will order again for sure.

Yelp
I was in a trip here and ordered a delivery. The food was very tasty and I called to ask for the spicy sauce on the side and the waitress even put the beef in a separate box for my need to feed my baby. The food was authentic and the tofu mixed with noodle very well. Will order again in future.

Yelp
Really cool looking place, and love the overall vibe of the interior! They had dining chairs and people also have the option to dine on their counters. Especially nice if you just want to get a quick meal and go. They also have high chairs for toddlers. We were greeted quickly and sat to our table right away. We went around 12-1pm and it wasn't busy at this time. Lots of food and drink options, took us a while to decide. My friend ended up getting their Banza Beef Noodle Soup and Langya Potato, while I got the Tofu and Rice Noodle and Iced Coffee. Absolutely love the Tofu and Rice Noodle (with spice), noodles were soft and slippery to eat, there was meat on it I think but it wasn't listed on the description and I couldn't tell if it was beef or pork. Warning, it was extremely spicy for me and I have moderate spice tolerance, but the soft tofu alleviated the spice and I was able to finish my dish. The hint of nuttiness from the walnut was a great addition to the dish and made it more interesting to eat since it had that crunch while all the other ingredients had softer and chewier texture. Would definitely recommend this place especially if you just need a quick meal!

Yelp
The ramen was excellent and the pork was tender and flavourful. As for the bulgogi rice, the veggies overpowered the meat so I suggest they go easy on the greens. The service was quick although it was a weekend. In all, I recommend it.

Yelp
This place has awesome bubble tea. The fruity and milk tea bubble teas are well made. I especially liked my mango dragon fruit bubble tea with boba pearls. The drink has star shaped pieces of mango in it. It's a really pretty cool and tasty detail. I've had 2 dishes here. The first dish was a cold noodle meal called "Sixi cold rice noodles" and I had the vegetarian version. The noodles are slippery and fun to slurp but it didn't have a lot of flavor to it, if I recall correctly...The second dish I had today is called "Tofu pudding rice noodle" and this vegetarian meal has more flavor than the other one. The sauce the noodles are in is sweet and easy on the tastebuds. I want to give this restaurant 5 stars because the quality is really great here but when it comes to variety they don't really have a lot of dishes on the menu. Not counting the side dishes they just have 2 main vegetarian meal options. But they do have A LOT of bubble tea flavors including a yogurt like smoothie drink that I'd like to try in the future.

Yelp
I will say this is one of the best ramen in Winnipeg. In the past month I tried most of the noodles in this restaurant. Personally I prefer noodle soup more, beef and akuma noodle are my favourite(A1 and A4). Another thing I like is the egg, it is special which has a liquid look inside and taste a bit sweet? Besides the food, this restaurant also has bubble tea and smoothies. I like the one call Pina Colada which is a smoothies not a cocktail :).

Yelp
What a great place! We went to the brewery next door but the kids got hungry so we decided to check this place for the food. We were so happy we found that place - the food was amazing! Thank you!
