They’ve got a wide variety of fillings including meat, prawn and vegetables. Everything is so colourful too! Their meat/prawn skewers are also a must order. Perfectly grilled and super tasty. They’ve also got a range of starters, mains, rice and noodles dishes. Would recommend you to order a few dishes to share so you can try a bit of everything. My favourite dishes was the steamed dumplings and lamb skewers. I could of ate it all myself and not share. It’s quite a small place so probably best to book a table if you want to go.

Service and atmosphere are good. We booked with 50% off. We got the dumpling platter which was quite disappointing at the texture of the dough was really gummy. We also got the chill wonton with no pork, which was nice but again gummy dough. Salt and pepper squid was nice but it wasn’t really salt and pepper- it was fried onions with fried squid. Sambal prawn egg fried rice was the star, really good. Mixed seafood flat noodles were okay but lacked seasoning or a good sauce. Sexy cucumber also lacked some flavour.

Baozilnn never disappoints! I have been coming here back and forth over the last couple of years when I want to scape from the crowd and I have tasted multiples dishes! All of them WOW. Today, I ordered duck with egg fried rice and wonton soup. Simply delicious! 1000% recommend to pay them a visit. Photos from this evening, and from past visits!

This is a place to go to!!!. Started of with a really warm welcome. The place is decorated so nicely with old and morden feel. Now the food...I've tasted alot of chicken satay and this was perfect, soft but little char on the outside. The sweet & sour chicken was perfectly balanced. The trio wanton noodle in chilli oil was amazing. Will definitely be going back :)

I recently had the pleasure of dining at BaoziInn in Soho’s vibrant Chinatown, and I must say, it was an experience that truly elevated my standards for Chinese cuisine. From the moment I stepped in, the warm and inviting ambiance set the stage for a memorable meal. The star of the show was undoubtedly the short ribs. Describing them as ‘life-changing’ might sound like an exaggeration, but one taste of these perfectly cooked, flavor-packed ribs, and you’ll understand why. They were tender, juicy, and seasoned to perfection – a true masterpiece of culinary art. The rest of the menu was equally impressive. Each dish was a delightful exploration of authentic flavors, presented with a modern twist. The attention to detail in both taste and presentation was evident in every bite. The dishes are as beautiful as they are delicious. Highly recommend the Caramelised Peking Pork Ribs and the Mixed Skewers - tender, perfectly seasoned, and a feast for the senses. A must-visit for a unique culinary experience!

Although the service was nice, the food was unfortunately very average especially for the price point. I went with a vegetarian friend so we shared all vegetarian dishes. We had the vegetarian dumpling platter (thought the skin was too thick and flavours were only average), salted yolk asparagus (the asparagus was not cooked properly and too crunchy), mushroom skewers (not cooked properly again and no flavour) and the vegetarian mapo tofu (good flavour and only good thing that we had).

The tso chicken is so good!!! It’s like sweet and sour chicken but less sweet and less oily, super tasty!! Highly recommended! The lamb rack is also a great choice - with the Southeast Asian style sauces it tastes slightly different from the normal grills I’ve tried in other places (in a good way)

Small cozy place with friendly service. It was not a traditional dim sum restaurant as I thought but food was good. Bokchoi had crispy garlic on top, it had good flavor, dan dan noodle had good chewiness, we had dim sum in chili oil sauce that had a good flavor too.

Had dinner here for my last meal in London before returning to Las Vegas. The reason that I mention Las Vegas is known for its restaurants. I daresay that for Dim Sum there is no place better than this. The food was superb, the service was great. I will also add that we came on Saturday evening with no reservations (not our plan, the result of an accident) and the staff helped us out. Grateful and recommended.

There aren't many seats available so the safest bet is to reserve in advance. We got super lucky and were able to walk in but even then, they were pretty booked. Food was very flavourful and delicious. The tea is amazing as well! I'd highly recommend getting some dimsum or buns here as they are very aesthetic and delicious! The only downside was that the service was very slow and the waiters didn't have enough time to attend to the tables. I'm sure all the workers were trying their best though but it does feel like the restaurant is a bit understaffed.

Every time I come over, I go here. I love the food. But I feel that if I walk in, even with an empty restaurant, they act like they are doing me a favor if I don't have a reservation. Then, when I do make one, with, according to where website, they were open for another hour. I was told that they can't seat me. Kitchen was closed and they said if I rushed, pause at order I could carry out. That's rude. I'm sorry. Not the way to build loyalty.

One stop shop! Price: £9.99, £8.90, £7.90, & £11.50, respectively. Tina's Tip: - BBQ Pork with Rice, Classic Pork Wontons, Pork Fried Dumplings, and Dan Dan Noodles! They also have skewers, buns, dim sum, and more! - Sometimes service charge is included on the final receipt, but tip isn't. Be sure to check it! - Service was average since they are packed, 3 levels! - Good for just small bites. We didn't get completely full off their menu.

We were walking around London's Chinatown and the wife chose Baozi Inn for lunch. Although there were surprisingly LOTS of options, she peeked inside and found lots of Chinese-looking customers. Guess that could be an alternative to Yelp! They specialize in spicy noodles and dumplings, and you will be warned of the spiciness level from 1 to 3 red chilis. The Dan Dan Noodles set for about 10£ was a great deal, since it comes with three sides of pickled veggies alongside a bowl of sweet grass jelly dessert to help sooth the spicy aftertaste. The Dan Dan Noodles were a generous portion and despite its two chili-rating, was plenty of heat for us. Excellent, soft-chewy noodles. Be sure to mix well, as the sauce and minced pork are concentrated at the bottom. The mixed Chengdu spicy dumplings were a bit pricy at 10£, as its really a small, appetizer portion. The fillings were all shrimp and pork, and they had plenty of chili oil sauce. Two different colors of wrappings were used, and both were thin and smooth. Service was great (servers did speak Cantonese) and they had clean restrooms. Definitely recommend if you have a craving for spicy Dan Dan Noodles. Tip: They seek to have Baozi Inns all over London. We saw another one inside the Victoria Market Hall.

I was so excited to try this place with my friends as they'd never had dim sum before and it's absolutely one of my favorite meals! This place had pretty good reviews and the pictures looked amazing so I decided to bring them here. Well luckily they'd never had dim sum before because they enjoyed the experience. Which means they'll be mindblown when I get to take them to a real dim sum experience. I, however, was very underwhelmed and disappointed. Firstly, the service was terrible. It took us asking three different people over the span of 20 min to get glasses for the sake. They also forgot we even ordered it. Now the food...let me start with the reason this place got two stars instead of one. The crispy tofu was actually pretty decent. Not the best but still pretty enjoyable. The Dan Dan mien was also ok. Not super authentic but it had decent flavor and had a little kick to it. The bean curd roll was the best part of the meal. Good flavor and nice filling. Now...the dumplings. The whole reason I picked this place. These might be the worst dumplings I've ever had in my life...and I've bought dumplings from grocery stores. The sui mai were just...I feel bad saying this...pathetic. Dense and bland. The skin was a mess. I tried all the flavors and really it was just absolutely awful. Same with the assorted dumplings. You had to drench these in sauce to get any sort of flavor out of them. The skin on the har gow was so thick that you really couldn't taste the filling. The wontons and sweet and spicy shrimp dumplings were pretty much exactly the same thing but with different sauce. The sweet and spicy sauce was pretty good but otherwise the dumplings were all just underwhelming, boring, and bland. I actually regretted spending money on those and felt embarrassed that I had brought my friends there. If you are looking for good dumplings in London, don't go here. If you want noodles and tofu then it's ok but you could probably find better of those too. I wish I had something better to say, but this place is not worth the money or the room in your stomach.

I got the pork belly with noodles- totally flavorless! My friend got the Dan Dan no pork and it appeared to be covered in what looked like burnt collards. The dumplings were good, service was good, sitting area was very dirty but likely because of prime location.

What a cute restaurant. Wood all around, kind of dark creating a beautiful atmosphere. We had to go down a narrow stair to a private table. Lovely! Pork wonton was to die for.

In London from LA and found this place on yelp. The food and atmosphere is exquisite! Feels more like a nice bistro cafe than a usual casual dim restaurant. A bit expensive, but worth every penny.

RESTAURANT REVIEW: BaoziInn (Note: this is a limited review- centred on dumplings and dim sum - and not the other dishes on the menu) BaoziInn has been making the rounds on social media recently - its brightly coloured, perfectly formed dumplings; its attractive dining room, showered in natural light - featuring sleek oak wood tables, lanterns, and shutters - are exquisite to the eye. But I'm naturally sceptical of Instagram food trends - so I had to try it out myself. Did it live up to the hype? YES. We were situated in an intimate, cosy dining room - an attractive homage to the Mao-era canteens of yesteryear's Northern China. The music was pleasant and the atmosphere relaxed. The food was excellent - all-day Cantonese Dim Sum with Sichuan and Hunan influences, and the bold, robust Northern Chinese flavours were felt throughout all of the steamed goodness. I am a huge Dim Sum fan, and I can comfortably say this is some of the best I've had in London. A highlight for me was the assorted Xiao Long Bao with minced pork - a selection of buns filled with experimental flavours such as jackfruit, bloody mary (!) and Sichuan hot and sour sauce. The broth within - at this point, more of a sauce - was an incredible, sharp burst of flavour once slurped up and the pork was perfectly cooked. The prawn and chive dumplings were enclosed in a spinach juice pastry and were once more perfectly formed and cooked - bursting with sharp flavours. The jiaozi dumplings with pork filling nestled in an intense, spicy, umami-packed XO sauce. The wontons were fabulous - perfectly balancing the flavours of mixed vegetables, tender pork filling, spring onions, and potent spices. Don't miss the special fried rice in that heavenly XO sauce - some of the best fried rice I've tried: absolutely erupting in Cantonese flavours. From the moment I took my first bite, I regretted not ordering more - the menu is diverse and extensive - but I'll certainly be back when I'm in need of a dim sum fix. We went to Baozilnn at Victoria Market Hall, close to the Victoria station. This is the casual, street version of the restaurant in Soho. I had the dimsum in chilli oil and dan dan noodles. Both dishes were solid, although I didn't find anything too spectacular. If anything, I thought both dishes could be slightly more flavourful. They did feel fresh and healthy though, like the dishes you would get at Michelin star dimsum places (rather than street stalls). Service was good, but generally self service based. You order at the counter, receive a buzzer that will go off when your order is ready, and you pick up your own food. I quite liked the ambience of the hall -- a number of choices in a buzzing atmosphere.

Very good ambiance and food. Atypical Chinese food presented in a nice environment. The Chengdu Chang fun and steamed squid with chilli are to die for! The steamed squid was so tender with the right amount of spicy. The dimsum was very fresh, but perhaps could have been a little cheaper. We got the spicy Shui mai and beetroot dumplings. We also got the Chengdu dumplings. As someone born in Chengdu, I thought they could have used more chilli, sugar and vinegar. Would skip this dish if you are looking for the authentic taste from back home.

The meals here are pretty good for London standards. The spicy beef noodles were pretty tasty. The beef was fresh and the noodles were not overcooked. I would highly recommend this place however the tables and environment is very dirty and small. The floors were very sticky and there was a bad smell in the place.

Nothing to rave home about. We ordered the mix rainbow color dim sum that were pretty but the taste was mediocre at best. For 6 pieces we paid about 9 pounds what a rip off. We also ordered the cucumber with chilly, which is basically a raw cucumber that is cut with a chili sauce. We paid for that 6.90 pounds!! What a joke. Lastly, we ordered the mixed grill for 20 pounds, the meat was so over well done that we could not chew it. We could not even finish this dish it was not edible. The service was the same as the food. The waiter did not even come by one to ask if we are ok, but did not forget to charge us 10 percent service fee. Needless to say, we will never come back. My search for good dim sum in London continues.

Popped into the new branch of this Sichuan chain having previously been to its China Town eatery once before. I was somewhat disappointed with their Mapo Tofu - regarded as one of the best in London - as a lover of the dish but thought I'd give this another shot. I ordered the following: - BaoziInn dan dan noodles - Marinated wheat gluten with peanuts and black fungus - Jiaozi in broth - Pickled radishes The dan dan noodles were delicious, hovering perfectly on the limit of oversaltiness with a gorgeous, almost marmite savouriness. The pickled radishes have a calming presence with a pleasant kick which cleanses the palate nicely when hopping between the dishes. The jiaozi were a little disappointing, being a bit too mild in flavour although the broth had a nice spring onion tastiness to compensate. The gluten side has a great texture with a satisfying crunch and chewiness while offering a slight sweetness to really round the meal. It's a small but comfortable environment to eat in and the selection of jazz to accompany your meal felt natural within its Soho home. My only criticism of the music was that it was a touch too loud, taking a bit too much room in the foreground of your senses. All in all, a far more enjoyable experience than my first visit.

I came to this restaurant with some trepidation... I had been to this location some years earlier when it was Ba Shan (a sister to the Bar Shu which is still there, directly opposite on the corner...if you really must have lip-numbing Hunan-style cuisine). Now I like spicy food; it might have something to do with the fact I ate a birds-eye chili pepper when I was 5 and spent the rest of my life with that sensation on my tongue... but the Hunan food that Ba Shan used to serve up, left my lips feeling as if they had been injected with neat capsaicin. Back to BaoziInn (strange spelling...not sure why) and the small dining room (around 10-12 covers) that greets you as you enter. This is where most diners would be seated for lunch as well as early evening. I came mid-afternoon hoping I wasn't too late for the dim sum but there didn't seem any rush for last-orders on the lunch menu. Let's get some of the negatives out of the way... the tables are small, one of you will probably have to sit on the bench side and there is limited space on the table once all the accoutrement are brought out. Having said all that, the style of & attention to detail is excellent though the only item missing was a rest for the chopsticks - possibly because no-one knows what to do with them! My prawn & chive dumplings were excellent as were the Ruby prawn dumplings in beetroot. Both were complimented by the spicy, chili sauce & chili oil which on this occasion meant that the experience being lip-smacking rather than lip-numbing. My only disappointment was that the jasmine tea was slightly too tannic - probably because they had been too generous with the jasmine tea leaves. An excellent alternative to the chaos that you sometimes find in Chinatown and a much better experience than Ba Shan had been...for me & my lips, at least!

Wayyyy over-priced and I can make better Chinese food in my apartment than this place. £12.50 for 9 little shrimps?!?

I dropped in on a rainy day and the bright, cozy interior was a welcome respite! I ordered the spicy beef stew- the menu is very reasonably priced- and was pleasantly surprised when food arrived within fifteen minutes. Stew was very good, the broth was great, but the bamboo shoots tasted slightly off. A great place and worth the price.

We sat down knowing that this was a well received Chinese restaurant but unsure what to order. The waiter provided excellent suggestions and correctly steered us to a diversified selection of dishes. It was extremely impressive for all the food to arrive as one considering that all of the kitchen played a roll in preparing the dishes (fryer, wok, steamer, etc.). The restaurant has stayed true to its identity, not trying to get too big or to cater to select clientele. Great experience

Although the setting is nice the food was terrible. The main meal was so salty we could not eat it. Dim sums came without sauces and the beef soup came with pieces of beef too hard to chew. Overall 1 star but service was nice. Worst meal we've had-many better places a block away.
