"The Bar at 327 Braun Court is located in an unassuming house in a courtyard of shops. The cocktails are so good; it's the only place in the world where I'd happily order a White Russian, made with fresh heavy cream from the local Calder Dairy." "

This neighborhood bar may be unassuming from the outside, but when you arrive upstairs it's a warm and inviting atmosphere. It's not the largest place, but the smaller size just adds to the cozy character. The menu has a number of excellent cocktail and drink options with excellent bartenders. Personally, the Hurricane drink that they make is my favorite. If you want an intimate evening of drinks with a date or a night with a few friends, this is the perfect place.

Google
They look for vaccination card and photo. I forgot my ID and had to go back home to get it. It’s good to know that this bar is checking! We had a nice dinner and drinks here, starting with a Fattoush salad made from crunchy, toasted pieces of khubz combined with spinach, pomegranate, bell peppers, onions and other vegetables. There is a white pizza (prosciutto pizza) which is absolutely 💣 and so is the “bee sting” which features honey. The craft cocktails were refreshing. So this was a great first visit!

Google
What a neat cozy hidden gem bar in the heart of Kerrytown! We always enjoy our drinks here. They really do have the best White Russian I’m town! The homemade limoncello is to die for, sooo tasty. Definitely a favorite A2!

Unassuming and charming bar in Braun Court. Great mixology and correct prices. Love the authentic, welcoming vibe with great service and fantastic drinks and snacks.

Great cocktails but somewhat of a slow service due to staffing issues. Highly recommend everyone to go on a week night for lesser burden on the staff.

Google
They have mix drinks and beer here. Their kitchen is under construction at the time I went, so I can't really say much about the food. It's really small, easily crowded. Service was slow. It's not a bad place, but tough to make a larger part of people work upstairs.

Irene

Google
favorite bar in a2. cocktails are excellent, atmosphere is neat, patio is a nice touch. i never come here for the food specifically but it happens to be great! sweet view of kerrytown from the window upstairs. back in aut bar days there was a shared fire pit in the courtyard between the bars and the outside seating at one kinda bled into the other 🥹 i'm always tempted to gatekeep bar at braun court... i hope it stays cozy

Chris McAllister

Google
One of my favorite spots in Ann Arbor! It’s a little quieter than the Main Street bars, but the music and atmosphere are some of the best in the area. Drinks are really good too - glad the beer taps are back open after Covid!

Yelp
We got carryout pizza, salads, and ice cream sandwiches recently and each item was pitch perfect! The portions are generous (and bless them for the big ol' hunk of feta cheese they put in the greek salad) and the flavors are thoughtful and harmonious. And I don't know what they put in those ice cream sandwiches (actually, I do. It's the brown butter. Brown butter makes everything better) but they are SO SO good. And let me tell you something, carry out places, if your hot dish (like pizza) has greens on it, PLEASE do what they do here and put it in a separate bag that you can disperse when you're ready to eat! I went with a pizza that came with arugula and I literally gasped when I opened the box to see the fresh greens nestled next to my pizza in a bag. I dumped them on and enjoyed a crisp bite of arugula, not wilted and sad. Right now they have meatball subs on the menu and I hope to try them soon! And next time, you better believe we'll be ordering some of those delicious to-go cocktails!

Yelp
Fun, eclectic cocktail bar. Best place to get your night started or to enjoy a nightcap.

Yelp
Still open, still fabulous, still an oasis. Many things have changed in the past two years, but thankfully the only thing that's changed about 327 B is the menu. Still delicious, but now focusing on pizza and salads. Both will make you go WHOA, NELLY! I'm such a bore these days though, always ordering my favorites (the burrata or the wonderfully crisp fattoush topped with pomegranate arils). The creative desserts, like the drinks, are an absolute must. Forget vaccines, the day 327 re-opened their inside space brought a sense of normalcy I hadn't felt since, well, early 2020.

Yelp
Huge fan of 327 Braun! Their indoor seating is closed due to COVID but they have done a fantastic job with their outdoor seating. I was really impressed with all the tables they have and all their COVID precautions. My friends and I got a number of cocktails here. The pina colada was especially on point. I got an Old Fashioned and followed it with a gimlet. The Old Fashioned wasn't my favorite - a little more in your face than I liked. The gimlet was exceptional though. Like I mentioned, it was a wonderful ambiance and a fantastic place to grab a couple drinks with friends for the evening!

Yelp
Love this place! We prefer eating outdoors, and hope they continue to have that option with heat in the winter. We eat there at least once a week but crave it more than that. We love their bee sting pizza and their salads. They also have great cocktails. Wait times for food can be long, but as long as you keep that in mind and have good company, the wait won't bother you.

Yelp
This is easily a favorite "hidden gem" in Ann Arbor. Located on a discreet walking court across from the Kerrytown Farmers Market, 327 at Braun Ct offers a cozy upstairs bar with intimate seating as well as a larger room downstairs that can be reserved for special events. I have visited twice, once with a friend for an after dinner cocktail. On that visit we loved the laid-back setting, the unique drinks, and the lack of undergrads (there, I've said it!) The most recent visit was for a friend's birthday, where they had reserved the downstairs bar area. With plenty of space to lounge, and ample seating, we were all comfortable mingling and having a wonderful time. The host brought some snacks for us to munch on, and 327 provided a friendly bartender with a unique punch cocktail (as well as the option to order other drinks) to ensure a festive mood. Music played, friends laughed, clinked glasses, and swayed to the tunes, and a good time was definitely had by all. We will look forward to our next visit to 327 Braun Ct, and -- in the meantime -- you should check it out as well!

Yelp
I was sold when I read from multiple reviews that The Bar At 327 Braun Court was not saturated with undergrads. After going, I now know that because a cocktail will run you big city prices here!! $14. Wowza. I mean it was a good & real unique cocktail that the bartender recommended -- Milk Washed Mescal Margarita (Mescal, Cointrau, Agave, Lime) so I guess if you don't have doubles/triples on happy hour...you automatically keep the undergraddies away. The space itself is cool! The way Braun Court is set up is like a community of homes that have now been converted to storefronts. It's relatively well-marked - if you go thru the middle of the courtyard, it's on your right & labeled "The Bar At 327 Braun Court." You walk up a short flight of stairs to the main floor. It was low key on a Thursday night. Dimly lit but didn't smell like a college dive, although it's classified as a dive on Yelp. 324/365

Yelp
Friday night, and I feel like I'm in a crowded trailer of people drinking expensive liquor. I kind of like certain aspects of it. Slab tables. Curved-wood walls. Mason jar candles. The sound of drinks shaken, not stirred. Most of the crowd here is younger than the four of us, which is neither a negative nor a positive, just an observation. Now we get to the parts that I kind of don't like very much. Conversations abound in the cramped space. Each table trying to talk over the table next to theirs, and so forth. It's exceedingly loud. Between the four of us, we tried a number of drinks, and none of them stellar in anything other than points for cool presentation. Note, I did not drink all of these drinks--I got input from my friends and husband The Demarara Dry Float has a unique, overly citrusy flavor, while the Donga Punch has a strong grapefruit flavor, and could more aptly be named the $10 ice cube drink. Tony Bananas is frothy and thick, and the most balanced of all the drinks ordered at our table. Next we have Fog Cutter, which I think you're paying the highest price to get the super cool metal cup and the silver straw with a spoon at the end. The drink is ok. Corpse Revivor is my husband's and my favorite of the night--lemony with an array of other light flavors. Negroni is strong/boozy, and could knock your socks off, and finally, their gin and tonic is made with homemade tonic, which I am not a fan of. As far as eats, our friends got duck poutine, which is a VERY small serving, with duck buried at the bottom for a mere [ahem] $10. We left and went elsewhere, and wished we'd just started at our second location and skipped 327. It wasn't horrible, it just wasn't worth the high ticket price of their food and drinks.

Yelp
We went for Pizza which was shown in all the pics. We ended up staying for a appetizer and a salad that we shared. It was fine but they need to change their advertising because they don't have PIZZA. The waitress was AWESOME. The drink was very interesting.

Yelp
This bar feels like home. But much much cooler than my home. It's such a cozy space with tasty drinks that I could stay here for hours. I have yet to try their food but it always smells amazing when other tables order it. I came early enough to be able to try some of their Friday punch (which always sells out) and it was worth it! One day we want to rent out the cool bottom lounge space with friends and watch a movie. Anyways, love this spot.

Yelp
To get into this bar you have to open the door with confidence and stride up the stairs on the left side. The first floor always looks empty; seems like only the kitchen there is used (at times). It's pretty dark inside and outfitted like someone else's semi-posh basement. Prices are okay - I didn't get charged tax here. I would recommend the duck poutine, which has duck gravy (with a little actual duck meat inside) and yellow cheese curds. Duck poutine might only be available after 6 though. I didn't like the BBQ wings, and preferred the Korean ones (though both aren't the best wings I've tried around the area). The Friday punch the time I went was based on orange juice and some potent tasting liquor. A bit too potent for me (a light drinker) but I'm sure others would like it. They seem to have an okay selection of beer. Good place for a secret and chill rendezvous since the place is small and not very crowded. Service both times I went was not super attentive (perhaps because I was sitting near the big window, which is not usually in view of the servers).

Yelp
IS THIS SOMEONE'S HOUSE? I came by for a beer after work. I thought my friend was taking me to a house party or something. But it was pretty fun and low key hipsterish bar/lounge/house to catch up at on a Tuesday. I'm sure this place gets wild on the weekends. I had their Southpaw IPA on draft. Nice floral and citrus flavors complimented with a bit of hoppiness. Delicious! Coming from Chicago, I have to say the beer and cocktails prices are quite nice here. I dig the stickers and Ann Arbor skatepark boards hanging. I'm guessin' quite a few member of the staff are about that SK8 life. I wish I still skated... Anyways, 'til next time, cheers!

Yelp
Walk upstairs to get the the bar, awesome space, with great atmosphere. Drinks were all well made, mixed and served. some small food options. Great for a smaller crowd, patio seating in the summer as well. Kerry town secret gem! Music was a little out of place. Would definitely recommend for signature mixers drinks

Yelp
Easy to miss this place, it's worth the steep ascent to partake of handcrafted libations in the dimly lit loft. A cocktail after dinner? How could I refuse? The Spartan interior is what keeps this bar hip in my opinion. Small wooden tables and a longer wall-mounted option greets you, and vintage grade school chairs bring back memories you'd rather forget of junior high school. Luckily the drinks will erase that momentary flashback with astounding complexity and Prohibition Era firepower (i.e. 3oz. minimum alcohol). I forgot the name, but I enjoyed the mezcal and respado combo: smoky and sour all at once. Just perfect for a digestif. If I lived here still I'd become a regular fixture for sure!
google avatar

Dasha K.

Yelp
Place is super small so we were confused if the bar was open. It's upstairs so we almost left thinking it was closed but someone told us to go up. Granted it was a Tuesday the atmosphere felt weird. Didn't expect it to be such a small hole in the wall place. We were confused if it was a bar or a place to eat and if there was a waiter. After we sat down a waiter approached us and gave the menu. The drink menu is awesome and they have weekday specials. We got a gin and house made tonic on a Tuesday which was pure delicious. I would not recommend this place for dinner but they have some small plates. The vibe is very New Orleans and the deer with a hat and beads was definitely a bit strange. Overall would recommend as one of Ann Arbors bars.

Matthew P.

Yelp
I love this joint! It's like walking into someone's house and going upstairs vs. downstairs to the bar. It's dark, divy, and little bit seedy but they can mix a drink. I actually come here for the conversation about Gin and Bourbon; mostly gin. I will say this is not a place to come with more than one, maybe two friends as the long narrow confined space is not conducive to groups. You pretty much talk to your neighbor or the barkeep and that's about that.

Jessamyn R.

Yelp
If you want a fantastic drink and a delicious snack in a hidden gem of a location, you should be at the Bar at Braun Court.
google avatar

Janet R.

Yelp
The Bar at 327 Braun Court is *totally* one of those places that I wish were around when I was at Michigan!! The vibe is this mix of cozy, cool, and hilarious (think - cat art, animal busts wearing glasses, you know - the usual). The night we went, it was freezing outside; so sidling up to the window spot that overlooked twinkling lights in Kerrytown was pretty perfect with the Midnight Stinger. If you are looking for a place that makes you feel at home instantly with great drinks, this is your jam.

Yelp
Great spot for a quick drink after riding a bike around this area. We were in visiting our son and took a bike ride on the river. Ice cream pops were great and beer was cold. Outdoor seating made it easy to social distance.

Yelp
There's a lot to like about 327, and a lot of reasons I want them to succeed. I do not, however, believe they will in their current form. What's good: the location is super convenient for me, and it fills a niche. I love the atmosphere (yay no TVs); it works for hanging out with friends, for a date, or for working. The staff has been super-friendly and they know their booze. The cocktails are good and always well made, the beer list works well too. The appetizer list is solid and consists of things that are not fried bits of starch and cheese. Why I don't think it will work as is: the drinks are small, $9, and the current cocktail menu is mostly smoother drinks. In other words, my $9 goes way to quickly, and then I'm $18 down.... and so on; most drinks could be consumed in a single long (slightly ambitious) sip. I feel like the drinks need to get a little less smooth, a little larger, or a little cheaper to work, or at least for this to work as a neighborhood/regular bar for me. So, for now, it's 3 stars. I'm really hopeful that it becomes somewhere I can (afford to) visit more often and that they go on to thrive. -- One of the other issues is that the first floor -- the most visible part -- isn't lively, which makes it less inviting than it should be, and harder for it to draw in foot traffic, but this doesn't affect the review. It just made me wonder if they were even open the first time I came by. Also, we are having trouble deciding what to call them. Some friends call them "the bar", but that's too ambiguous. I'm in favor of "327," but "Braun" also works (and I don't think will be confused with Aut, which is "Aut").

Yelp
I'm so happy to have recently visited. I live right around the corner and noticed that they had some outdoor tables and seemed to be serving pizza during the covid era. Was so glad i did! They have a very simple menu- basically margarita or spicy diavola style pizza, 2 appetizer options, and then various cocktail options. Even though options are limited, they are doing these few things WELL. The pizza was truly delicious! Neapolitan style, amazing crust, perfectly cooked. We also got the burrata which was amazing. Service was lovely and fast, based out of a window. You bus your own table and everything was clean- they clearly are taking safety precautions seriously. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
The perfect setting for a nice low key evening of good company and great drinks (good company not included). The Bar at 327 Braun Court is a fantastic alternative to the rowdiness of a bar with loud music or the pretension of a "trendy" bar. I had the Witches Negroni an it was fantastic! The service was also great! This is definitely a great spot!

Yelp
Our cozy, dark, quirky neighborhood bar on the second floor of a nondescript house on Braun Ct. There's not a special knock or secret handshake to get in, no naugahyde door (see the Last Word for that), though it feels like that kind of place ("Ken sent me"). We often roll up to 50 deep in here, giving Eric a heads-up as best we can (24 hours is best) to call in reinforcements. Good things take time, and the Bar does creative, modern, and classic cocktails right - they take their craft seriously, and while you might wait a bit on a busy night (particularly if we're there), it's because they won't serve you a bad drink. Eric lines up the final rub / placement of a peel on the lip of a glass like a golf master lines up her final putt. It's inspiring to watch someone so committed. Beer-wise, it's mostly bottles, including many cheap/budget options, and two rotating taps, always Michigan microbrews. They always have a cider and often make (very strong) punch as well. A schedule of pop-up dinner nights is in chalk on the wall at the foot of the stairs, and they have some great ones. With the new Ground Floor Cafe on the first floor, they're also doing weekend brunch. The decor and atmosphere, OTOH, is pretty random - Lego bricks fill holes in walls, small taxidermy looms overhead, hand-written signs remind me of a Chinese restaurant, and music blasts inside their one unisex bathroom. The coop living room ambiance is part of their scrappy college-town appeal, I guess. One night they played the Pixies' entire Surfer Rosa album, and then turned around and played all of Doolittle. It was like reliving high school, with much better booze. This place is very Ann Arbor, and I'm glad to see them rewarded for it!

Yelp
What a great bar. First rate bartending, ingredients and atmosphere. No pretense. No flair mixology. Just great drinks by staff that understand service. Smart food options, too. Brunch is great.

Yelp
Love this place! They've been *so* responsible during covid (barely anywhere else has) and it really won them my respect and loyalty forever - one of the few places I actually felt really safe eating at, even outdoors. Plus the pizzas they introduced are really darn good. I'm not a drinker but my understanding is that they excel at cocktails too, obviously. I hope they'll keep expanding the food side because they do a great job of it!
google avatar

Logynn H.

Yelp
For a simple unpretentious bar, it's pretty nice. The bartenders are intelligent interesting people who give good service. The cocktails are really good if you order them off the specials. I have some regular drinks I usually get at every bar, but at this place it's worth it to try the unique ones they have made up.

Yelp
Walking in I thought it's a house party. It's right across from the Aut Bar and at first looks like a regular house with "Bar" written across. That and the people coming out to smoke are the only tips you can go on to find it. The main part of the bar is upstairs which is comprised of a fairly long bar table and a few tables off to the side. The drinks are great (but a little pricey at $9). The White Russians there are AMAZING. They have an ok beer choice, but you're not going there to drink beer (unless you're just trying to save money after getting that one cocktail). If you're going with more than 4-5 people, you'll also find it hard to find adequate seating. The crowd was mostly grad students (poli sci, engineering, law, SI, whatever). This is important, as you might find the conversation at the table next to you is easier to hear than that at your own (some of the tables are THAT close). Most were friendly though and jumping into random conversation was part of the fun (if you're into that).

Yelp
Came here a couple times with my girlfriend and we are huge fans of The Bar. The place is a small bar in the attic -- a very low-key, quiet, minimalist bar with a fair selection of liquors and beers and a humble list of specialty drinks. They also offer weekday drink specials (Tues-Friday). Their Gin & Housemade Tonic is very impressive; it's lightly floral, very clean, and best-of-all comes with a metal straw. My go-to is always an Old Fashioned. Normally I'm not very partial to bourbon in my OF because it gets too sweet but The Bar does it very tastefully: not too much bitters, not too sweet, and simple with the orange peel resting on top. Overall, love this hole-in-the-wall bar and always make an effort to come here every time I visit AA!

Aj S.

Yelp
Atmosphere--Cozy, intimate, perfect spot for a casual date and drinks Food--great snacks from the kitchen, very tasty Drinks--great mixed drink and beer selection Service--hit or miss. Sometimes the bar staff can be rude/pretentious/"too cool for school" and other times they can be nice and helpful when making drink selections.

Yelp
I typically do not feel inclined to write a negative review, but I am very confused as to why this place is rated so high. I have been here now 3 times and am sad to say that each time the same bartender was so unfriendly and unwelcoming that I don't plan on going back. I hoped I had just caught him at a bad time the previous visits. I wanted to try their house made tonic as I finally made it on gin and tonic Tuesday and they were out; how did that happen, It wasn't even 6pm. In an effort to find another drink, I asked about an ingredient and he didn't even know what it was. His response was its a liquor...hmmm. I am not difficult when it comes to service, I don't need you to entertain me, but why make your guest feel like we are an inconvenience.

Katherine N.

Yelp
Really cute place! Cocktails and food are limited though, and service staff not the friendliest.. needs to work on customer service skills.
google avatar

Wayne P.

Yelp
Pop a top and hug a cop this is legit and unique spot. They've got darn good cocktails and rectangular ice. Along with a stand up beer selection that is quite nice. Order the oily nuts, that are off the hook. You can tell they do it their way and not by the book. If you're in Kerrytown, you don't have to go far. Just go to the building that looks nothing like a bar, but has "BAR" on the front door, bar.

Anna K.

Yelp
All you need to know is that this is the best Neapolitan pizza in the area. The dough is great (I think it's a 72 hour fermented dough), the ingredients are fresh, and no other local spot comes close for this type of za.

Yelp
Hands down the best bar in A2. This place is amazing. The owner is a great guy and I have zero complaints against the staff or the atmosphere. I've been to most bars/pubs in Ann Arbor, and I continue to circle back to 327 Braun because the cocktails are incredible, the staff is uber-friendly, and you can actually hear the person next to you. I love their beer selection, too. I really feel at home here. They recently launched a food menu and despite having tried only a few items myself, I've found everything to be really flavorful & scrumptious. I've seen my friend eat the scotch egg on more than a few occasions and it looked incredible, too. That's my next order. I pretty much order the Pimento cheese dip every time I visit. I once took a date here. I'm terrible at dating, but this place makes it easy to have a good time. Candles on the tables and dimmed lighting is a nice touch. I can't say enough good things about the place. Hats off to the owner of the bar. I'll be a lifelong fan & customer. Cheers & Thanks!

Yelp
This is one of my favorite bars in Ann Arbor. I enjoy the low-key atmosphere of the place. The crowd is always eclectic in a very Ann Arbor way, and I enjoy it. The drinks are good and priced pretty reasonably, but I'm all about the food. The fries and wings are what bring me back time and time again. I have been a huge fan of the mushroom poutine for a long time, which recently disappeared from the menu. I wish that they would bring it back. I love the umami of the mushroom, and I love that I can share the poutine love with my friend with dietary restrictions. I'm so glad that the wings are not just relegated to Wednesdays anymore. They are delicious, easy to share, and deserve love throughout the week.

Yelp
I stopped in here for a drink. The drink menu is very creative. The bar is basically the upper floor of a house and has that house party hipster vibe to it. Great place for a one on one date!

Yelp
My favorite go to bar in Ann Arbor. Low key, great drinks, good snacks, good service. I come here to have a few drinks with friends without the noise, poor service, and terrible music of other A2 bars. All the drinks are good, but can't beat the whiskey sour. Done the old fashioned way, well balanced, by far my favorite whiskey sour in town. If you're a White Russian fan, theirs is really excellent. Also a fan of the flights...didn't know vermouth could be delicious until I tried theirs!

Yelp
Huge huge fan of The Bar. Can't rave about this place enough. Quieter and low-key for a bar but what else do you expect from Kerrytown? :) Has a mixed hipster/speakeasy vibe. When you enter go up the stairs and you'll be greeted with a smattering of small tables and bar. Cocktails are incredibly refreshing and love the candle lighting for each table. Came after their kitchen closed but lots of the food options looked dope (duck confit tacos/miso deviled eggs?? yes please) Great hours too aka open late! Well worth the trek if you don't live nearby!

Yelp
I have no idea why I would deprive myself for this long of such a sacred little space. Why would I keep myself from stiff drinks, service that makes you beam from ear to ear, and an ambiance that makes all your past brutal life experiences melt into a distant memory? The very thing that may keep you at bay is the very thing that makes this bar so intimate. You're never quite sure where you are or if the bar is open or who is inside so you just have to leap into it. Many shall enter, few shall win. Wait, no, scratch that. Few shall enter, all who enter win. Amazing music, sexy lighting, 'rustic' wood tables, and no douchebaggery. I love seeing greatness develop from the ground up and this is grassroot booze-slingin' at its finest. A contemporary speak-easy with no password, but you still want to whisper about it. (Oh, and there's one more delicious secret - they have brunch on saturdays from 11 to 2pm (i think?) - effin' yum!)

Yelp
My friends and I went to this "fine" establishment to grab one last drink before our uber came on Friday night. We walked into a deserted area on the ground level, waited, and never got served. We finally realized the bar was upstairs (there aren't any signs to signal this). Once we meandered up there, we realized why there weren't any customers: The staff was so outrageously rude and asinine. Even the owner came out to express his crude manners. I have never been treated so horribly since I moved here. Unreal. If I had 2 more hands, I'd give this place 4 thumbs down.

Yelp
I love that everyone is calling this place unpretentious. Ann Arbor is full of pretentious bars, and this place is the king of them. I've been here half a dozen time with different friends and we've never had a good interaction with the waitstaff. We're quiet, polite, spend a lot and tried to tip well. Yet they're always spiteful and rude, and I kind of suspect this "unpretentious" bar hires them to be as pretentious as possible. Also, most of the cocktails are terrible. Somehow they manage to bring out the strong taste of alcohol and yet give you the weakest and overpriced drink possible. Basically, we've all decided to stop coming here. If you're going to treat your customers horribly, you give a pretty clear message you don't want them there.

Yelp
I love this bar, the drinks are out of this world and the space itself is really fantastic. However, since, as expected, all the other reviews have covered that accurately, I'm here to talk about something that hasn't been covered in these reviews, that is also very important. One egg. 327 Braun has a simple yet interesting appetizer menu, which includes a single hard boiled egg. My partner and I have been to 327 a handful of times, and after lots of discussion, he finally ordered The Egg. Our beautiful and delicious cocktails arrived without The Egg, and when the waitress asked if we needed anything else, I quickly reminded her of The Egg. We waiting in anticipation, and when it came.... thus began the string disappointment which sadly never ended. When a swanky upscale dive such as 327 Braun features such a classic item on their menu like One Egg, you imagine it will come in a beautiful hard boiled egg cup, unpeeled. Fresh as cow's milk, classy and delicate. Our Egg arrived pre-peeled and slightly wrinkled, in a small sad bowl. When bit into, it's rubbery, gummy texture caused my partners face to turn sour. "This is terrible." he remarked. 327 Braun, please take a moment to perfect this One Egg situation. Buying a cartoon of fresh eggs and boiling them once a week - and perhaps investing in a better means of overall presentation would really not be all that much extra effort. We know you can afford it, based on the price of your delicious beverages. My partner says he will not return to 327 Braun until this One Egg situation is corrected.

Yelp
It was just off the beaten path so much that it felt cool. You walk upstairs and the ambience is dark but intriguing. We sat down amidst deer heads that were adorned with human clothing and jewelry, it was a pretty fun vibe. The drinks looked great and we ordered a Paloma (grapefruit soda and tequila) and a drink that was sparkling wine mixed with cognac that was fantastic. We wish we were hungry for dinner because many of the appetizers looked great, we did order the chips and onion dip and they were gone almost before the waitress set them down. If you want water you have to fill up your own glass at a keg by the bar, and the glasses are tiny so they require frequent trips.

Yelp
Great place to sip some boozy booze. $9 cocktails. It's warm and inviting, and quiet except for talking which i like, and the staff are super knowledgeable and friendly even as you distract them from making money with your tidbits of Scotch and Chartreuse knowledge that you gleaned from Esquire or Maxim. The upstairs is small but comfortable enough to want to slouch forward with your lips pressed to your glass, people-staring as you excite your tongue with booze and syrups and bitters. They make a perfect negroni, a not-so-hot old fashioned, and have a small but very cunning curation of bottled beer. You can tell they've put some thought into that bottle selection - and they want you to be able to tell that. They also have many coat hooks which is so thoughtful in the winter time. Thank you, Bar at 327 braun court, for being so thoughtful! It was nice and comfortably pleasant! Also, the bar name is horrible. But really worth bringing in a small super pac of friends into the upstairs to get your exquisite slur on.

Yelp
Went for drinks here last weekend. The sex on the beach was probably one of the best I've ever had. They had some unique options for and G&T, including a metal cup and metal straw to keep things nice and cool. Our only complaint was that the atmosphere wasn't conducive to conversation. A little on the loud side because of the music, which was surprising because the overall atmosphere seemed pretty chill.

Yelp
If you've always longed to live in Wicker Park, Park Slope, Kreuzberg, and the likes, but unfortunately found yourself in Ann Arbor instead, then this is the place for you. It's got that speakeasy atmosphere. It's got that kitschy Ronald Reagan painting on the wall, and even kitschier waterfall pictures in the bathroom. (Get it? Water. Fall.) But it's also got friendly service and talented mixing -- as well as a decent beer list. The cocktails are definitely the highlight though. Plus, I heard during the day they have pop-ups downstairs, including some of the best espresso drinks in Ann Arbor. A little piece of Park Slope indeed.

Yelp
Stopped out of curiosity the other night and was pleasantly surprised. Ann Arbor has been missing a place that feels a lot like your drinking at your cozy, hip friend's apartment. The drinks were a tad pricey - our vodka sodas were a dollar more than the trendy main street bar we went to afterwards. But the service and atmosphere make it a place I'd go back to. If the screening room turns out to be as cool and eclectic as the bar, this place could truly shine. I look forward to coming back when that happens and giving them the elusive fifth star.

Yelp
The pizza is so good I think I'm addicted! I don't know where you're having Covid safe dinner, but if you're not here you should be! Also try the buttermilk strawberry pops. So good I don't have enough awesome words to do it justice - you just have to try it! And the cocktails? Oh my. Eric makes many of his own syrups including an amazing orgeat syrup featured in the Trinidad sour. I want to eat every dinner here!

Yelp
Pretty much every spot in KerryTown is unique, and The Bar is no exception. There's a coffee shop downstairs during the day, and it's a bar upstairs at night. I've only been to the bar, and it's pretty cool. The Bar is relatively small, dimly lit, tables on either side, and an open area in front of the bar in the middle. Their drinks are also one-of-a-kind, and all that I have tried so far have been delicious. They also have beers that I don't think I've been able to find other places, even at Ashley's. It doesn't take much to crowd this place, so have a plan B if you come with a large group and don't want to stand. Definitely worth checking out though, and it's one of my favorite spots if I'm not going bar hopping.
