Bar 4GATS

This was my second time at 4Gats, with the first being in 2019. I was thrilled to see that the business had survived the pandemic, because it was so memorable from my first trip I sought it out a second time. My husband says they make the best old fashioned he's ever had. I believe him too, given how good my cocktail was! The bartender there was very professional and really knew his stuff. Everything he did felt very practiced and deliberate, and the drinks were gorgeous with the branded ice! We also enjoyed a pretty in-depth conversation with the bartender, despite the language barrier. He was super kind when we left too, and escorted us to the door so he could hold it open for us. It can be tough to find, on a higher floor of a building, but worth the hunt!

Super cozy bar. Drinks are fun and good. Barkeep was very friendly and polite (even accompanied us to the elevator when we were leaving). I personally recommend the shoyojyurin. Their ice cubes even have their logo on it!

After looking for a bar to escape the crowds, we ended up finding Bar 4GATS. This place was amazing. The atmosphere was peaceful and lowkey, perfect for a late night drink. And the drinks were incredible, beautifully presented and made with care and an eye for detail. The bartender, Shoichi, was very friendly and welcoming and clearly loves what he does. We had a lovely conversation while we enjoyed our drinks and as we left, Shoichi ran to open the door and lift for us. I highly recommend Bar 4GATS for anyone visiting Osaka, you will not be disappointed by the drinks or the service!

Bar 4 Gates is brilliant! 🥰 Very warm and cozy. The decor is chic (with cats drawn everywhere )yet cozy, creating a relaxing evening. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. The cocktails were beautifully crafted, with a perfect balance of flavours. I can't wait to return..

AMAZING! No other words needed! A cosy and vibey bar tucked away in a side street. My husband and I just happened upon it on our walk back to the hotel and decided to check it out! The server was extremely attentive and friendly- even seeing us out to the elevator once we left! Couldn’t recommend more!
