Altamirano Restaurant in Marbella truly exceeded our expectations. We tried several dishes, each bursting with flavor and prepared to perfection. From fresh seafood to traditional Andalusian flavors, every bite was a delight. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even more enjoyable. The charming atmosphere and central location add to its appeal. It’s no surprise this place is so highly rated — we absolutely recommend Altamirano as one of the best dining spots in Marbella. A must-visit for anyone seeking authentic cuisine and top-tier service.

Altamirano Marbella serves very fresh fish. It's best to know what you want in advance, otherwise you'll get the staff’s recommendations.

An absolute gem in the heart of Marbella’s old town. Hugely popular with locals (always a good sign), it serves the freshest of fish and seafood. The presentation is simple and unfussy—just quality ingredients cooked well. It was buzzing with energy, full of regulars and us soaking up the atmosphere. A must-visit if you’re in Marbella and love seafood done right. Also offered excellent value for money.

We were waiting more than 40 minutes for one small fish. Terrible…The bread was also too old and dry… Too expensive for this quality of food and service. I would not recommend this place to anyone. There are a lot of restaurants in Marbella, do not loose your time and money here

The food, the service and the atmosphere were great. Our only issue was we were seated outdoors but in the alley with table and chairs on a kind of hill.

It’s a beautiful spot with a great atmosphere, it gets very busy on an evening and often lots of people waiting for seats- never a problem though. We got there around half 7 and no problem sitting down. Personal favourite !

One of my favourite restaurants for fresh fish in Marbella, Altamirano, has been in business for forty years. The fish is sourced from the fishing port of La Bajadilla. Situated in Plaza Altamirano, one of the most charming plazas in Marbella's old town, it can get quite busy in the summer, especially on the terrace. It's wise to make a reservation or arrive early. The opening time for dinner is seven in the evening. The menu features traditional Malaga dishes, such as fried fish or "pescaíto." While the prices may be slightly higher (between 20 to 30 Euros) than those at similar establishments, they are reasonable given the high quality of the food. The gambas al pilpil were delicious, and the swordfish was perfectly cooked, served with an olive oil and garlic sauce. The service is both efficient and warm, making it a great spot for fresh fish in a beautiful setting.
