11 Best Bars in Seville for Flamenco, Jazz, and Rooftop Cocktails | Condé Nast Traveler

"Contained within Hotel Alfonso XIII’s distinguished 20th-century walls, this stylish cocktail bar pairs rich textures (wood, marble, leather), deep blue hues and Art Deco furniture with mood lighting for a romantic evening; cocktails can be a bit hit-or-miss, servers circulate with small bowls of chips, olives and nuts, and live jazz plays every Tuesday and Thursday." - Adam Turner

Bar Americano Review - Greenpoint - New York - The Infatuation

"If you think you’re too cool to drink an appletini, you’re wrong. No one’s too cool for an appletini. Also, the version at Bar Americano is fantastic. This little Greenpoint spot was inspired by the aperitivo bars of Spain and Northern Italy, but the menu doesn’t always stay on theme. In addition to anchovies, vermouth, and a variety of European wines, they serve a burger, a house margarita, and the aforementioned appletini (which actually tastes like apples). Bring a date, share a fried chicken sandwich, and spend an hour or two in the candlelit room that features stucco walls, brass accents, and a few leather booths. You can make a reservation online, or you can try to snag a few seats at the U-shaped bar." - Bryan Kim

Great place to relax and have a drink or 2. Cool jazz music to entertain. It’s not loud. Sound is just perfect. Really Nice place. Service is great.

Unfortunately, my recent visit to this iconic bar within the emblematic Hotel Alfonso XIII was deeply disappointing. I fondly recall my experience in 2017 when I ordered an Ocnos wine served in a fine-quality glass, accompanied by a meticulously prepared and charming tapa. This time, however, everything seemed to have lost its spark. The wine was served in a crude, poor-quality glass, far from the elegance expected in a venue of this caliber. The accompanying tapa was uninspired, lacking style and any hint of the charm that once defined the experience. The cocktail offerings were equally underwhelming. The drinks lacked creativity and sophistication, while the service was chaotic. The bartenders, with very limited English skills, seemed disorganized, running around like headless chickens, which added a sense of amateurism completely out of place in such a prestigious setting. It’s truly disheartening to see how a once-renowned venue in Seville has fallen into such mediocrity. I sincerely hope the Hotel Alfonso XIII takes action to restore the Bar Americano to its former glory, as it currently fails to live up to the high standards its reputation implies.

Beautiful bar in a gorgeous landmark hotel. They had a live jazz trio last night. Excellent martinis. You do wait a bit for service and the check but this has been our experience most places in Spain.

Terrible service. Cocktails were mediocre. I had to get up and go to counter to get the cheque by the manager. Then nothing - go to counter again to pay. Glad I stayed elsewhere

Honestly, had high hopes and was disappointed. Service was friendly but disorganised. Chairs (pictured) were unusually uncomfortably and I have honestly never had a Guinness served like this before!

Did not live up to the expectations. Hotel looks stunning but the bar was not. Lacklustre service, bartender was constantly checking with his colleague what the recipe was for our cocktails. Tables not cleared, sticky bar, had to ask for bites. Outgrown its hey days I’m afraid.

We were there for the Tuesday night Jazz evening. It was fabulous. Tuesdays and Thursdays are the two Jazz evenings, starting at 10pm

We had high hopes being in such a nice hotel. Aesthetically is beautiful, but service is really bad. We ordered a cheese platter and came like an hour after when our drink were over. We called the manager to complain and even then, they took another while to bring the bill. Never again!

Yelp
Drinks were very good, bartenders were helpful and well paced. The cheese board and charcuterie board were really good! The small of each was A LOT for 2 people. Would have been a 5 star review if they opened earlier. Since it's a hotel we were hoping for some more generous hours but they didn't open until 7p.

Yelp
Strolled in for a quick drink before a dinner reservation -- popular place .. it was packed. After taking the last table, we watched as a variety of patrons had to approach the bar staff for service. Definitely appeared to be some frustration between patrons and staff; we weren't in too much of a hurry and were taken care of before it would have been an issue for us. Had a lovely appletini and mojito. Would definitely return :)

Yelp
Cocktails were just okay -- not nearly up to world standards, but priced like they are (at 13 or 14 Euro each). Service was fine when we got up to grab the bartender; absent otherwise. Physically pleasant space.
