"Nostalgia abounds at this classic Tennessee BBQ joint, which is worth its weight in sides alone. The local chain thriving in a fast-food environment is adored for its Texas toast and Thanksgiving turkeys. Their strong side dish game is worth mentioning too—try the cornbread dressing, fried okra, turnip greens, or stuffed potatoes. This joint has been around since the 1950s, so expect a carhop vibe. This is the place for a quick lunch break, low-key date, or pit-stop trudging around Nashville." - Kristin Luna, Margaret Littman

The staff were very kind and happy to talk about their menu. I found it fairly priced for what you get compared to some other BBQ locations. They offer 4 table sauces Mild, Sweet, Carolina, and Hot. I found mixing them together created a good taste of sweet with a kick.

Our group stopped in here for lunch on our first day in Nashville. Everything we had was delicious, brisket, chicken... Service was excellent, the ladies were very friendly and helpful. Banana pudding was so good.

I did a walk in take out order 2 meats 2 sides. Greens/bbq beans grilled/smoked chicken and sausage. I asked for my meat to be extra grilled/smoked give me a dark chicken breast I got a light one THEN BOTH MEATS ARE COLD. Highly disappointed.

Way better than Mission BBQ, you don’t have to mess around with the Opry traffic literally every weekend, a parking nightmare.. save yourself time and come here, plenty of parking and less of a crowd

$53.20 for a brisket and pullet pork platter, two drinks and fried pickles The pickles were good but mediocre BBQ and Mac & Cheese or Mashed Potatoes that seemed like they're from a bag. I didn't' expect a pre-packaged "Ken's" branded ranch for dipping. I doubt I'll come back but see the "following" of this place as it was busy around 12:30 on a Tuesday. I'm not coming back unless it's on the house to try something difference.

Extremely helpful staff. Good pulled pork and great apples. I was surprised at the cornbread served like a pancake. Nice consistency and flavor.
