Bar Bastion

Quiet and charming little place. Came there on a Saturday night for some awesome blues/jazz music (singer and guitarist were excellent). The bartender Gustavo is amazing and made me the best negroni I ever had. If you're looking for good chill vibes with great food and drinks then this place is highly recommended.

I had a lovely evening at Bar Bastion. The atmosphere, the small plates offered, and drinks were amazing. Rachel made me the best lemon drop martini I have ever had.

Bar Bastion has best bartender in New York, and I've sat in front of a few. The cocktails she makes are so balanced, bespoke and memorable it's going to be difficult to be impressed by cocktails anywhere else. You've got to hunt for WOW interiors in the sea of options in midtown, and if you end up here you found the WOW. I had the best time.

I got the side car cocktail which was delicious. It was on the sweeter side but still very light and citrusy. The service was a little slow but they seemed quite busy so I understand. The ambiance is so cute, I loved how aesthetic the bar was. Would definitely return.

Beautiful bar with occasional jazz and delicious cocktails. Staff is friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. I got the big apple cocktail because I love calvados and it did not disappoint. Their potato chips are also fabulous along side the avocado dip.

Bar Bastion is a lovely lounge with fantastic classic NY atmosphere. The cocktails and apps are delicious and decadent. Our server was Alejandro and he was wonderful and super attentive to our group. Looking forward to visiting again very soon!

Enjoyed the mezcal watermelon cocktail, which was so refreshing and well made. Enrique really knows how to make a great cocktail, and him and his colleague Leah made us feel so welcome and comfortable. This is the perfect bar for a catch up with a friend, a date night, and even a great place to bring an important client. We did not get a chance to eat here, but the cocktails and atmosphere was great. They do close around 10pm, so just make sure to plan accordingly

What a great place for an after work cocktail and networking. Great space with plenty of comfortable seating as well as bar options. Servers are attentive and happy to accommodate requests. Enjoyed a lovely martini, made just the way I wanted with house pickled onions. Will be back!

Bar Bastion is Hidden upstairs on the second floor. dont confuse with the restaurant bar downstairs. Intimate space around 1500sf Only seating for 25 people Elegant interior Staff service is above average. Expensive $30 old fashioned. The drink was good but hardly the best in the city. Decent place but nothing that drives me to come back.

I loved the feel of this bar. It's dimly lit, cute, cozy,and sexy even with elegant couches and a high-rise ceiling. It feels like coming into a quiet private lounge. The bartender was attentive and kind to make a drink of our preference that wasn't on the menu. I recommend if you want to come in for a quiet calm time to sip on a fancy cocktail. I don't drink much, so this is more a review of their very lavish small bites. I did ask the bartender to surprise me, and he made me a coffee mezcal. I hated it and had trouble sleeping that night, but that's on me for asking for a mystery drink. The best thing I had was the bikini gaufrette. Prosciutto, black truffle, and comte put inside two crispy pieces of butter toast. Truly a heaven for savoriness, it was so irresistible I probably had 5 of those. The avocado and caviar dip was lavish. The people I was with mostly had just chips. So mostly ate the mashed avocado. It was topped with caviar, bringing a popping briny saltiness, very interesting. The bastion smash was great, very juicy. Fried chicken and potato croquettas were ok. Overall, bar food but really gourmet, so ended up being quite delicious food!

This is such a nice, upscale spot. The cocktails are excellent and the service is excellent. It's very small, and intimate for dates. I will definitely be returning.

Came here after work on a Friday night for drinks. There was live jazz 7-10, beautiful music and good sound. The bar is super comfy and upscale. Servers are kind. Highly recommend for a cozy date night, solo date, or people who hate loud bars.

The bar cocktails and ambience is first rate and the service is top shelf. You cannot ask for a better night life than Bar Bastion.

A wonder vibe. Wonderful cocktails. And friendly service. Would recommend as a very chill spot that's elevated for a casual night out.
