Bar Beurre

It was a great catch. Small, cozy place with a nostalgic decoration and kind service. But what makes it special was the food. Small menu with great combinations. Sourdough bread, iberico, foie gras, dry aged rib, fries, salad and dessert. All was tasty, would definitely recommend.

I was visiting Maastricht for the weekend and the reviews for Bar Beurre were very good so I booked a dinner here. It's a wonderful restaurant featuring classic bistro furnishings with a disco soundtrack and a slight edgy brown bar vibe. As a single diner, I felt welcomed by the friendly staff. I had a three course meal which was excellent. All of the food had elements of butter which I absolutely loved - from the butter served with the bread to the buttery notes of the sauce of each course. Each dish was recognizably satisfying but also thoughtful in its composition, which added a bit of complexity to the meal. The sweetbread starter was inventively done with Asian touches; the catch of the day (plaice with mussels, octopus and mushrooms) was deliciously savory and the fig softserve with cheong and semolina torta was the perfect ending to the meal. I had great recommendations too for wine with the food. Overall a wonderful experience.

We went there for Sunday lunch, and it was amazing. The food was top-notch quality, and the service was first-rate. Without a doubt, we will come again!

This is it! If you’re looking for a nice restaurant in the authentic side of Maastricht, with affordable prices, amazing service and great food. This is the place. Bar beurre has it all. Kudos to the team behind this concept. The starters, the deserts, the lobster, the steak. EVERYTHING IS JUST DELICIOUS. Also if you’re a wine enthusiast, they have an amazing selection. Small tip: they have the best fries ever. Says a lot about how serious they are about their craft. I am doing this review while still sitting there. That’s how amazing it is.

We had a wonderful and delicious sunday afternoon. We totaly recommend this restaurant. Nice location, delicious food (actually awesome), nice backround music and young staff making you feel very comfortable. We will definitely come back.

It had been a while since I ate such incredible food in Maastricht. Bar Beurre gives a unique and modern twist to classic dishes, bringing out flavors and combinations you’d certainly never come up with yourself as a home cook. And to be believe that it’s owned by such young minds! I’m hooked. Will be back for the octopus and the foie gras. Refined attention to detail, beautiful natural wine pairing, high quality ingredients, great acoustics… 10/10
