I really enjoyed eating here - the service was prompt and friendly, the atmosphere relaxing, and the food tasty! It was the first time I’ve tried Southern-style food… and it didn’t disappoint. I *especially* loved the corn fritters (beignets de maïs)! Boyfriend said of his fries “these are the best fries I’ve ever had”. I would definitely come back. I did find the hand-washing station a tad confusing though, hah.

The nachos were worth the wait, and the drinks were cheap and delicious. Plus, now their art adds to the ever growing album on my phone dedicated to pieces of art featuring the Last Supper but something is off. Otherwise, love the outdoor seating on a street where cars aren’t allowed anymore.

Great staff, service is quick and food is tasty. Drinks a little too sweet to my taste. But everyone is different.

The Blind Pig is unique in it's delivery of smoky flavor. The menu is simple, tasty, nice smoky flavor but the sides are a little small. Fried cheese balls are very good, vegetarian chilli as well. I had a beef brisket, nicely smoked and cooked. The food is a bit heavy and fat so go easy on volume. Service was good but not always present. Price on the bill was different (a bit higher) than the menu. Drinks were decent but I'll stick with the beer. The blind pig is must try!

Giving 4 stars because of the rude server Marika or something. Last night my friend and i went there and decided to go to the bathroom together. My friends and I always share a toilet stall no matter which bar/club we go to, just because we’re silly giggly girls that talk nonstop. Last night we were in the toilet stall together for not even 5 mins and some lady BANGS rapidly on the door asking us to get out. At first we thought it was an impatient customer because no one was outside when we opened the door, she just ran away. Weird. The second time this happened again i had had enough and opened the door immediately to confront this obnoxious person. It was a server!!! she was about to run away into the kitchen when i stopped her to ask why she couldn’t have been nicer. Her tone was so condescending and the worst attitude i’ve heard from a service person in my entire life. I let her know that her inability to kindly explain to us if there was a policy against going in the stall together was poor for business especially to regulars who want to keep the doors open. I know for a fact she had been drinking because I could smell it heavily on her breath as she talked down at me as if I was a child. So disappointing that this couldn’t have been handled better, not professional at all.

I love this simple but at the same time sophisticated. Go see for yourself and then you'll know what I'm talking about! UPDATED APRIL 15 2023 absolutely sad seriously not manage properly and was served Panko chicken and old oil french fries!! Panko chicken was all bones and burnt really not worth the 20 dollars price on the menu. Maybe 2$ should be the price. If you do not have any food left just tell your customers the truth I had to go home and cook as I just could not force myself to eat it. 5 star now unfortunately has to be changed to a 1 star and I usually go there with my company for a 5a7 but since it is usually me that organizes this happy occasion I will have to find a better place to take our business.

Was my first time there and I was completely satisfied. The staff was great. Very friendly. They have a large selection of craft beer Al very affordable. They also have a respectable selection of spirits. That's all good but after a long day we were all very hungry and the food. OMG the food was amazing. I got the the 1lbs of fried chicken with seasoned fries. It was perfect. My fried took the fish and chips which were crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. Next time I go I'll try the Mac and cheese logo which is fried Mac and cheese in the shape of a pogo.

The food was okay, but the server was really condescending. The service was very slow (we waited 30 minutes to order, and then it was another 1h30ish) for the food. Two different servers gravitated over us, but there was no communications between each of them so it just made a poor experience. Expensive though for what it is. Rude server. Should learn to speak to customers.

Yelp
Brisket and pulled pork recommended by Louka was absolutely OUT OF THIS WORLD. Le ind Pig is a MUST HAVE when in Montreal, you won't regret it. I promise.

Yelp
I'm grateful for Le Blind Pig. This part of Hochelaga can be kinda variable for good bar fare (in my opinion) but Le Blind Pig is nearly always just right when it comes to needing something low-key and affordable. My pal and I workout down the street so I've had the pleasure of frequenting the spot semi-regularly on its quieter nights. As several reviewers have mentioned, the beers are hella cheap here. It's also worth mentioning that the majority of the beer is house brew and it's pretty good (particularly for the price). Given this feature of their drink prices comes the downside to this place: it gets PACKED. And not in a fun way. When this place gets full people are piled up on each other making it really difficult to get around. I also find that the crowd changes to unsavoury characters the more the night carries on. Once you hit peak business hour at this place it kinda feels like a gross frat house party. But back to the positives. The food is really accessible and pretty affordable (much like the drinks). My two go-tos are the grilled romaine salad and the tartar (the appetizer format is a perfect small meal and it comes with a salad). They used to have a larger menu with more pub menu-type options but I can still appreciate the variety offered now. Finally, I should mention that I find the service pretty variable. When they're really packed you can be waiting quite a while for your server and you can only order at the bar if you're seated there. It's definitely improved over the years but the servers also tend to be on the inexperienced (and drunk) side. Not the worst, but definitely could be improved on!

Yelp
Like most people, this place caught my eye for the their cheap 3$ beers. Ther website describes itself as offering "American inspired comfort food" although I was disappointed with how limited their menu now is. After checking reviews and previous posts on their Facebook page, I see they used to offer more burger options and even tacos but these have been removed. We came here on a Friday evening around 6pm, it was already full but we managed to find a table and spent the next couple hours enjoying ourselves for the most part. The atmosphere is hip, the banquet seats were comfy and everything we ordered tasted great. We tried their pogo mac and cheese which is deep fried mac and cheese on a stick, topped with green onions, bacon and sour cream, served with fries. This was decadent and very fitting for "bar food". We also got fried chicken, falafels and poutine which were equally delicious. The food is very salty so you want to drink more. The prices are a little steep for how small their portions are and I also realised that the 3$ beers are not the best deal in town, if you want a full pint, you'll need two, so the price ends up being similar to other bars. This is however a great way to sample the variety without breaking the bank. The biggest problem we had was with slow service. Now I haven't been to a bar in a while and understand that perhaps they are not trying to turn tables as quickly as servers would in a regular restaurant, however this place was severely understaffed. Le Blind Pig can seat 80 people and there was only one server + the barman for the entire evening. We waited a long time to get our order taken and even longer if we just asked for a glass of water. Despite the slow service, I really like the vibe and the food, this bar is a great addition to the neighborhood. I would give it another try since it was overall fun. Also, cool detail - the bathroom has a commununal sink for men and women, comprised of many little shower heads to mimic rainfall. Very NEAT.

Yelp
Nice little unassuming pub. Good to hang out in. Bartender was super friendly and helpful, hence the five stars. We like friendly service.

Yelp
I can't believe it, the draft beer is only 3$ a pint! Not a big selection of food but what we ordered was really good (chicken nuggets and nachos with home made guacamole and salsa) Great place for a cheap 5 à 7

Yelp
Le Blind Pig turned out to be a surpisingly sweet find. On a Friday night, myself and three other friends found ourselves wandering Ontario St. looking for a spot to grab a drink and some food. After we couldn't get into La Trefle we came across the street to this bar. It was also busy since there was a hockey game on but we were able to land seats. The main appeal of Le Blind Pig is that it is cheap. You can get $3 beers here and they are local brews which are enjoyable. There is a small food menu serving up typical bar food. We split a massive plate of these mac and cheese balls which were deep-fried and served with marinara sauce. If memory serves me it was only about $9 and the portion size was pretty big considering the price. They were quite crispy but I do wish that they had been a little more cheesy. In all though it was a great experience and next time I find myself in HoMa I will definitely consider coming here for a drink.

Yelp
So this is a bar that serves food. It is what it is...and it's good for what it is. I had a great Old fashion and shared some really good fried chicken served with a side of delicious fried pickles. The service is ok; not bad and not good. The crowd is really a mix of young and older people...it feels like the place hasn't find his style yet. The music they play is all over the place as well. But overall for a good drink and some good finger greasy food it's a good spot in HoMa. A plus; they have a terrace.

Yelp
Yes, the beer is cheap, but that's about all that's cheap here. I went on a rainy Thursday night with a friend to finally try out the place, and I was really disappointed. First, there simply isn't enough staff for the place. We sat down near the window and waited 10 minutes with no one coming by. When I went and flagged down someone, we were re-seated elsewhere to make space for a group. Fair enough, and the group were apologetic about it. Then, we get seated in the back, and before even taking our order, the waitress re seats us again. Service was slow and inattentive, we had to go to the counter to pay! The mint juleps we had were good, but nothing extraordinary, and at 10$ each, not cheap. The food was insultingly priced. $16 for a small rib burger and home made chips?? To add insult to injury the chips were not crunchy and not all of them were warm, and the burger was underwhelming with a weird hard fried onion bit as a topping. TL;DR verdict: avoid unless you want only beer and don't mind slow service and a very loud, crowded space.

Yelp
Max was an awesome bartender. Delicious food. Ambiance was a bit bland, but overall, it was another great meal.

Yelp
This place suuuuuuuucks. It considers its food as American bar food. I had the fish and chips. The fish was this small piece of rubbery meat and the chips took a serious bite and pull to break them apart. Even though it was a small piece of fish, I only ate half of it. And I only had about 1/3 of the chips/fries. I'm not a finicky eater, either. My girlfriend had some sort of Asian salad that she described as weird but said it didn't taste bad. And the beer selection is below par. So, if you're from Canada and just don't know any better, then you might like the place. But if you're experienced, you'll regret that you tried it.

Yelp
shitty service and cold food. beer is great, food was cold. service was crap once we brought the fact that our plates were cold to their attention. we were told we should have told her sooner (but no one had come to check in until we were ready to pay) too bad they don't employ a couple more service staff. instead of asking how we were doing, we had to flag someone down to ask to pay. sad to see a nice new spot fail on the basics so soon.
