This place is ROBBING people! The food is horrendous and the prices are rocket high! Food comes out cold or lukewarm. Everything tastes like they were frozen food that's been reheated. The worst dish was the garlic noodles! The noodles were soggy, as if it was for my grandma with no teeth to eat. The noodles were also cut into short 2in pieces for some reason. There's a 5% extra charge added to every bill, for the waiters. The suggested tip starts from 18% which is wild for the horrendous food quality.

Cocktail bar with Asian elements! Very interesting menu and most drinks are on the sweeter side. Music isn't too loud and it's a good spot for dates. Amazing and friendly staff!!!

Google
Good food, good drinks, and good service. The boneless bites and cucumber salad were favorites, and be prepared for how much bigger the tots and tteokbokki plates are than the other plates.

Everything we had was tasty. The mussels dish was our favorite. Garlic noodle was also really good. The salmon mousse, we couldn’t really taste the salmon in it but it tasted fine. We also ordered catch of the day dish (not shown in picture), the fish was light and crispy but the kimchi fried rice it came with was lacking; it tasted more like lightly seasoned fried rice—couldn’t taste the kimchi. Overall, the presentation was great and taste was enjoyable.

Google
Bon Mot offers an intriguing fusion of a Korean-inspired wine bar with a tapas-style menu. We sampled a few appetizers: Charcuterie Plate: 8/10. The combination of grapes/raisins and the cheese selection was delightful. Cucumber Salad: 9/10. Wonderfully authentic with a perfect crunch. Scallops: 6/10. While the flavors were pleasant, the portion was too small (only two), and it lacked a bit of a "kick." Gravlax: 7/10. The fact that it was homemade was a nice touch, though it was slightly too sweet. Overall, still a solid dish. A unique aspect is the way they pour the wine at your table, which adds a nice touch to the experience. I really enjoyed that. We'll definitely be back.

My husband and I have been consistently coming here, even before the current new owners. We always come here when we want to have a good time. The vibes, the drinks, and the variety of smaller and bigger plates make it a great date night spot. Especially if we want the main event to be good drinks! We like how we don’t have to plan too far ahead as it’s usually quite empty, even on a Fri or Sat night. Our fav place to sit is by the bar! The dishes are overall quite good. My husband and I will usually order 3 appetizers and 1 entree. We love how there’s a good selection of appetizers because we prefer being able to have a variety of different dishes. We’ve tried a variety of their dishes by this point, and we don’t think there are any bad dishes BUT some do stand out more than others. Our fav go-to is the Charred Octopus, it’s always cooked perfectly. The drinks menu is a decent size with a good variety. I personally love Lychee De Leche! Charles, the bartender always makes really good suggestions when you’re in the mood for something new but not sure what. Overall, Bon Mot is pretty good and reliable when you want a good time. I’ve been here at least 10 times since they’ve opened which I think says a lot.

Google
Great service and tasty cocktails! Their food menu is very limited and geared more towards bar goers. The main entrees we got - branzino and the ribs did not disappoint either. But I would avoid the crispy wings next time, I could only taste grease in each bite.

Came on a Saturday night without reservation. The place wasn’t completely full when we arrived before 9pm, but we were sat at the back towards the kitchen and restroom area, with a pillar wall right next to me, so I do not know if the place eventually filled up. The atmosphere seems like a nice modern bar restaurant but I literally could only see limited activities of the kitchen door opening/closing and a big pillar wall next to me. So can’t speak of a good atmosphere. I usually do not consume any alcohol but chose to get a cocktail since that seems to be the reason people came to this place for. I got the Lychee De Leche which tasted just ok as it wasn’t very chilled and I could barely taste the lychee flavor in the drink. My friend ordered a glass of red wine and the server forgot about it but apologized and gave a bigger pour. It seemed that she was the only staff serving as lamented by my friend who was seated across from me. I saw another staff serving though but he could be helping out and was working at the bar as well. We ordered the Grilled Octopus, Fried Brussel Sprouts from the Anju/Appetizer and the Grilled Pork Ribs from the Entree to share. Both the appetizers were tasty and I enjoyed them but unfortunately can’t say the same for the Grilled Pork Ribs that tasted less than ordinary and I just realized now whilst writing the review that it was missing the baby potatoes! The hours of operation on Google indicate they are opened till 11pm on Saturday. About 5 mins to 10pm I ordered the Brussel Sprouts and was then told the kitchen will be closing in 10 mins. So I was very surprised since there was still an hour left according to the hours listed online. However by the time we left prior to 10:30pm, there were no other customers. There are no hours of operation listed at the restaurant. I just looked up the website and it stated 11pm as well… From the experience I had, I’m afraid I can’t recommend.

Yelp
We had a great experience! The restaurant had a chill dim lit vibe. The food was delicious.. the oysters were nice and buttery! And the drinks were carefully crafted and just a delight! The service was great.

Yelp
Came here previously a few years ago and remember being impressed with the food! However, my most recent time coming, we were told the kitchen was out of an appetizer we had ordered as well as two out of four possible entree options. We ended up ordering the pork belly lettuce wrap appetizer. The lettuce was sad and shrunken and the pork belly was dry. We were really looking forward to trying the short ribs as well but after an hour of waiting, were informed they were out of this item. We then settled for pork chops, but had to wait another hour for them to come out. We had originally planned to have dessert here too but after 2 hours of waiting, we decided to skip dessert. If asked a year ago, I would recommend this restaurant but now I am less inclined

Yelp
9/10 for cocktails, 9/10 for ambiance, and 2/5 for food. Overall would come back for cocktails not sure about the food. I came for dinner on a weeknight and they only had a set menu available for dinner. The meal consisted of starter plates, palette refresher, some entrees, and a dessert. The starters were okay, the scallops, steak, and halibut were overcooked, and desserts were underwhelming. Perhaps I came on an off day (Christmas Eve) or my expectations were higher but food didn't really seem worth it. Service was great though, just wished my food was better

Yelp
My wife really wanted to come here for awhile and thought it would be a great date for Valentine's Day. We were mistaken. First off, consider this place a "bar first", and "restaurant second". The ambiance of the bar is more focused when you first walk in. The feel of the table set-up feel like an after-thought. We got a relatively late reservation and while I was ecstatic at the time, I didn't realize until we were seated that it was also "last call". The place closed closer to midnight, so I didn't realize my reservation aligned with their last call and their kitchen staff were rushing to go home. And it was hard not to notice given the lack of attention we were given. On top of that, many of their popular items were sold out. The food itself were okay? The octopus dish had a very nice and zesty sauce, but it was mostly onion slices and 2 small pieces of octopus. The swordfish was not bad. The mushroom risotto.....felt like buffet quality, if that makes sense. Wouldn't hurt to add something with either kick or protein? The price of the food itself isn't high enough to hurt your wallet, but depending on the dish you order, the "value" is very questionable. One of our dishes was some mussels in a tomato-based sauce. They didn't give us the bread pieces it would normally come with. My wife noticed on Yelp it was supposed to via a photo. We called it out with a waitress and she graciously brought it out with an apology knowing it was late. I honestly wanted to pay my check without tipping if not for the final waitress. But given how little were paid attention to, I thought it would've been okay to leave without paying at all. The drinks were okay. I imagine if we tried other drinks, we may have been impressed, as would you. But that is overshadowed by the lack of overall attention we received, as well as the food itself despite some decent efforts in the dishes' presentation. We would not go back. Unless I wanted a drink. But I'd rather go elsewhere for that too. It's a cheap Korean version of Tanto.

Yelp
Long overdue review of where I had my birthday celebration last year. A group of us had reservations for a Friday evening and after we were seated, we began to order drinks. My favorite of the night was probably their Berry Fresh, which was made with vodka, elderflower, lychee, lemon, tonic, and blackberries. Bon Mot is what you would consider a Korean, Asian fusion type of restaurant. The interior is decorated nicely enough(dark theme) and they're actually connected to the lobby of the Residence Inn hotel next door. This group loves to order as many of the items on the menu as and go family style. I would say the Skirt Steak and Fries were probably my favorites. Otherwise, nothing else stood out for me. Our waiter obliged us with our many many requests, especially as there were 2 kids in our party. Overall, a fun place for larger groups and conveniently located in a plaza with many other food and drink options as well.

Yelp
FOOD: 3 SERVICE: 2 AMBIANCE: 4 VALUE: 2 We got together with friends to have a pre-Christmas dinner. Surprisingly, we were able to secure a 5:45PM reservation on a Friday night for 6. We ordered a few appetizers to share: KFC - Korean Fried Cauliflower, deep fried cauliflower served with sweet chili sauce. Crunchy, but all you can taste is the sauce. Maitake Fritters - green bean tossed in sweet & sour sauce. Mistakenly ordered this thinking it was Maitake mushrooms. Nothing outstanding, the green beans were a little soft. Steamed Xiu Mai - not what you think! More like meat balls, a little strange and unexpected. Spicy Cucumber salad - crunchy cucumber and spicy sauce, taste as expected. We had the Seafood Paella to share as our main course. It was served lukewarm warm, with a decent balance of spices, but the rice (not sure if it was Spanish rice) was a little soft. Overall, the food was decent, but not really consistent. The appetizers did not arrive at the same time or even at all (octopus never came). The same with the entrees and they all arrived luke warm bordering on cool. Service was more inconsistent than the food! On top of that, the restaurant charges a 5% service fee and a 20% mandatory tip. The service and food quality cannot justify the cost of this meal. If it wasn't for our friends, this would have been a waste of money.

Yelp
My friends have been recommending that I try this place and I recently did. The reservation was easy but I felt like they didn't really pay attention to my dietary restrictions notes I added in the reservations. I was impressed with the drink menu as it has unique cocktails that I haven't seen before such as pandan whiskey old fashion and an ube cocktail. My bf loved the ube drink. I took a sip since it does have dairy in it. Oh and for those wondering the lychee cocktail has evaporated milk in it so it's not dairy free. Bummer. The yuzu one was very refreshing though! The grilled octopus was good and nice and tender. I loved the purée paired with this. Not pictured was the tekbokki which we had to send back because the rice cake was not cooked through. The table behind us did the same thing. Once they remade it, it was the correct texture. The highlight of my meal ( well my bf's meal) was the pork tenderloin. I got to try some and for someone who usually doesn't eat pork, I loved it. It was so tender and juicy and wasn't gamey. The onions crust on top had a sweet crunch to it. It was amazing. I got the snapper catch of the day and it was cooked perfectly. Not a fan of the kimchi fried rice though since I've had better but I wasn't too upset with it. Overall a great dining experience and good food and vibes.

Yelp
We came here as part of the Amex gold benefit. Shared plates: Kimchi dumplings: 3/5 this came with 6 dumplings. It was light and flavorful but small / minimal filling. I could have easily eaten double if had the opportunity! Rosé Tteokbokki: 4/5 our family loved this dish! Quantity was quite a bit and given the cold weather outside this dish was the perfect warm comfort food and flavor profile. The tteokbokki was chewy. We loved the flavors. Entrees: Fall spicy garlic noodle: 3/5 we were expecting a kick given "spicy" was in the name but the dish had a slight sweetness albeit not overwhelming. I liked the crispy tofu and eggplant mixture. Noodles were chewy with a layer of garlic + butter. For an entree the portion is quite small. We came as a family of 4 adults with the intention to share all the dishes. Chicken La Zi Ji: 2.5/5 flavor was smokey but that's about it. It wasn't a memorable dish outside of this. This dish came with a side of rice. Ambiance: 5/5 it's nice and clean inside Staff: 5/5 super friendly! Overall I would rate our time here as 3/5. For the price point the quantity and flavor fell short.

Yelp
This was my first time eating here and I was pleasantly happy with my overall experience dining here. We wanted to take my mom out to celebrate her birthday, and I stumbled upon this place because it seemed like a good middle point for my sister and her husband since they live in Morgan Hill. I made a reservation in advance, and it wasn't really needed since it was empty, but always good to make one, just in case. The location is not bad. There is ample parking spaces, mostly in the parking garage behind the restaurant and hotel. If it gets busy, you can walk around while waiting, so you don't get bored. They do have an interesting (in a good way) playlist lol. It's a Korean-French fusion cuisine, which I thought was really nice. We got a salad to share and it was refreshing! The lemon added a nice citrus tang to round out the entire dish. I ordered the short rib and it was very delicious! It was very tender, fall off the bone, and the ssamjang that came with it cut through the fattiness, which I loved. It wasn't a heavy dish, and the greens were cooked well. The broccolini had a nice crunch to it, and the mashed potatoes were creamy and smooth. (I would have taken pictures, but we were really hungry lol). One thing is that their lunch menu is more of a brunch style menu. That's not a bad thing. However, it would be nice to see more lunch-style foods, but that's just my preference. Overall, I would come back again. Perhaps during dinner since their menu at dinner seems to have more variety.

Yelp
Classy, laid-back ambiance with an impressive, sleek looking bar connected to the local Residence Inn Hotel. Bestie and I dined in last August. Reservations available but they can easily accommodate walk ins during non-peak hours. They have a good variety of cocktails! Drinks: *Yuzu Merry Me-- light, fruity, and slightly sweetened *Berry Fresh-- fruity and tart Both were so refreshing! Eats: K.F.C. - Korean Fried Cauliflower Rosé Tteokbokki Kalbi Skirt Steak Sweet and tangy crisp cauliflower. Savory saucy tteokbokki with fish cake and plump rice cakes. Juicy medium well cooked skirt steak with hints of sweet bbq flavor, potato & green veggie accompaniment. Even the water carafe made us feel all fancy! It was shaped like a rectangular liquor bottle. Service was quick but friendly. They'll gladly give recommendations for drinks if you ask. Nice place to unwind with friends or even a date. Restrooms are a short walk away in the hotel.

Vanessa K.

Yelp
Drink was not good, they poured it in and the alcohol was all at the top and the yuzu was all the way in the bottom. The host didn't want us to come in and was not very welcoming They turned on the lights at 1030 and kicked us out but not the couple who was speaking loudly next to us Seems bipolar and wouldn't recommend

Nikita K.

Yelp
This Asian fusion spot in Main Street has a wide selection of food and drinks. The service and ambiance here are really nice and the bar area is pretty large. The drinks are great and I loved the berry cocktail and will definitely order it again. The food is a little too expensive even though it is meant to be a high end spot so I probably won't come here as much as I would like to, unless it's just for drinks and desserts. The portion for appetizers like the cucumber salad is not worth the price. The freshly baked bread and the sauce it came with wasn't as good as I hoped either. We got tiramisu for dessert though, which was super tasty and looked pretty as well.

Jasmine S.

Yelp
Food: nothing had enough flavor lol the octopus was decent, would not recommend anything else we got. Also they were out of like half the foods by like 7pm? They told us 4 people ordered the lamb lollipops so they were out? What kind of restaurant only has 4 orders of one thing... on a fully booked Valentine's Day?? Don't even get me started on dessert... the tiramisu and red velvet looked and tasted it like came from a supermarket worse than Safeway Service: slow but nice I really wanted to like this place :( got a friend's recommendation too...

Suha M.

Yelp
Service was nice, the ambiance was nice, and the mocktail we ordered was good. Came for dinner on a Saturday night, and they were out of at least 4-5 of their menu items (including bread) as well as 2-3 of their drinks. We ordered a chili cucumber dish which tasted like cucumbers drizzled with a bottled chili oil. Seafood ciopinno, which tasted like seafood in marinara sauce. A yuzu salmon dish that was very undercooked, and the yuzu flavor did not come through (but the mashed potatoes underneath were decent). And crispy chicken wings which also did not taste fresh and were a bit bloody. None of the food really tasted fresh and all of it was fairly disappointing. It's not really giving "Korean fusion" like the name says, I think there's a lot of room for improvement here.

Yelp
Dinner for 2. - Ambiance (4*) Dark and sultry yet comfortable. It's a really small place, kind of more like a bar that has a few tables. - Service (3*) Well intentioned, very friendly. Wife's initial water glass had some sort of black grime in it. Waited 30 mins to get initial bar snacks and appetizers. I assume some of the bar snacks, like the olives, are pre-made. Those could have come out first. - Olives, $7 (4*) Tasty, though I couldn't detect much rosemary flavor? - Spicy Cucumbers, $7 (4*) Great crunch from the garlic. Some pieces of garlic had some bitter tones. Felt the cucumbers could have been marinated longer. - Confetti Tots, $12 (5*) Excellent flavor from the toppings. - Cured Salmon, $22 (3*) Most IG worthy. The salmon itself was really unique. Rice cakes were seasoned really well. The rest of it appeared to be eye candy with no other real practical purpose. - Mussels, $21 (5*) Probably the plumpest mussels I've had in awhile. Sauce was unctuous as well. I don't really think I tasted gochujang- read mostly like a spicy tomato sauce. - Kalbi Steak, $36 (3*) Some pieces were overcooked. I'm not really sure what made it "kalbi". Dish really needed a sauce to tie it together. The mushrooms were cooked beautifully but had no flavor. Same with the kale. It looked like a plate with a lot of nuance but ended up just lacking acid and salt. - Duck a Deux, $36 (3*) Similar comments to the ones for the steak. Needed a sauce badly. The duck leg was quite dry. The breast was tender, but slightly undercooked in spots. - Value (4*) The mussels felt a little overpriced considering the dish only came with about 10. But reasonably elevated entrees for $36 seem pretty good these days. - Final Word Kind of a 3.5* review with some flavor issues with the entrees. Overall enjoyable meal. Would suggest less focus on IG worthiness and more focus on flavor. 4* because there were some nice things here that warrant a return.

Yelp
I came here on a Friday night with a reservation and I was pretty surprised at how packed it gets here. Walking in, the vibe of the place was very much like a bar and it does get pretty loud in there. But For drinks, we ordered the Berry Fresh and the Yuzu Merry Me. There was a bigger variety of drinks on the menu than I expected, but those on the HighBall section on the menu were pretty good. The dishes were overall good, but if you were planning on sharing, I'd recommend ordering more than one plate for each dish. The one appetizer that did surprise me was the Charred Octopus, so I highly suggest getting this. And for entree, the Kalbi Skirt Steak was also a good choice, but it didn't stand out to me as much. Overall, I'd recommend coming here for a date night or just a fun night out with a friend.

Courtney S.

Yelp
Came here for a birthday dinner and the staff was very courteous and attentive. The fish dish that I ordered was very light as you can see from the attached photo. My friend ordered the pork belly, but it wasn't what he envisioned so we ended up having to send it back as it was mostly just lightly cooked pork belly with lettuce. If you do order it I definitely recommend sharing it because it's a large portion of pork for one person.

Krisha P.

Yelp
Been here on two occasions, the first for cocktails and the second for dinner. Cocktails are delicious. Their appetizers are also not bad. However, when we had dinner here, the entrees came out cold. Not just one, but all of them. I guess this makes sense since this place is more of a bar. I'll come here for drinks only next time. 3.5/5. Experience because of the cold dinner.

Cathy J.

Yelp
This was my first dinner out without kids in a long time, so I was pretty much going to love it no matter what! Instead of each getting an entree, my friend and I split several small plates and it was perfect. We got some tips from the staff about what would go together well and could try a larger variety of food. Our waitress remembered my friend from a previous visit, so that was a nice touch. Bon Mot adds something unique to the Korean food scene in the area, so I'm looking forward to going back and trying more of the menu.

Jin J.

Yelp
Service: we were excited to try this place, but unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. We sat down as a party of 7 for a 730 pm reservation. A waiter in training initially forgot to collect a whole person's order, and later forgot to bring out an entire entrée. That friend had to wait over 35 minutes for a dish that never arrived, (along with 2 apps) leaving the rest of us to eat without him. Another friend's salmon was undercooked--a good quarter of it was raw. While they offered to replace it, by then, we had already been waiting an extra +30 minutes. The staff explained they were going through a chef transition, which is understandable but doesn't excuse this level of disorganization. To make up for it, they offered the table a house whiskey shot as an apology. We said 'No thank you' as we were ordering rounds of highland park whiskeys ($40 per glass) yet the shots came around and they were not good. I don't know why the waitress insisted we try it when we were drinking premium cocktails and whiskey. Food: The dishes were beautifully presented, and the flavors were outstanding--truly deserving of at least four stars. However, execution fell short. My fish of the day (snapper) had three large bones. The rice was overcooked and mushy but I enjoyed the flavor. You can taste the real kimchi juice behind the rice! Drinks: The saving grace of the evening.... kinda. The cocktails were absolutely amazing--5 out of 5. I dont know why they would ruin it by offering complimentary house whiskey shots. The whiskey we ordered was comparable to golden nectar. The "im sorry" house shots tasted just like what it was. Cheap free whiskey. Shoutout to the bartender, who was clearly multitasking by also running food, and still managed to create incredible drinks. I highly recommend the Ube cocktail. I've never had anything like it and pleasantly surprised that it's not overly sweet. Overall: There's so much potential here, but the missteps in service and food preparation made it difficult to enjoy our meal.

Yelp
Went here for a friend's birthday on a Wednesday. Cute place, but it had more of a bar vibe since the music was pretty loud so it was hard to hear each other when we're sitting in front of each other. Drinks -- For the first round, I got the Smoke on the Water, which was yummy. Not too heavy on the smoke flavor from the mezcal. For the second round, I got their Kickn' Banana highball, which was also good. My two other friends all liked their drinks as well. Food -- APPs: Maitake Fritters - crispy green beans with ranch to dip Rose Tteokbokki - loved this. Cheesey rice cakes, yumm Lemongrass wings - These were pretty huge, that we each only ate one Fries - you can never go wrong with fries By this time we were pretty full off the apps, but we had also ordered two main dishes not realizing how big the portions would have been. We were done with the apps and wanted to box it and get the main dishes, but the waiter barely came by. They probably thought we were finishing our apps first before wanting to get our main dish. We had to waive them down in order to get our main dishes out. Mains: Got the Duck a Deux Facons, which is basically seared duck breast and a leg, which was the highlight of the meal. It was cooked perfectly and was juicy. In addition, we got the bossam. I would pass on this. I have had a few bossams and this one was very pink and tasted weird. I'm not sure if they did it on purpose, but it looks almost raw. We each had a bite and packed it to go. Service was a little slow despite it not being too crowded. Cute place but I'd probably come back for drinks or light bites. Parking can be hard when it's during lunch or dinner rushes, but there are street parking and stalls to park at.

Yelp
awesome spot for drinks in cupertino. asian inspired cocktails that were super yummy. great ambiance. whoever was on aux, i was very impressed. came in on a friday and had reservations for 8pm. the place isn't huge so make sure u have reservations. was seated very quickly and our server was great. they took our orders and brought our drinks out super fast ordered a lychee de leche, my friend ordered a last sword (not pictured) and then we split a kickin banana the lychee de leche was great. very foamy and creamy and not overly sweet. the kickin banana was also good. it was fizzier and a little sharper but i love any banana themed drink tbh. drinks are on the pricier side but great for a date night. would love to try the food another time

Bo N.

Yelp
Note: We went for lunch, not dinner. Per their website "Open for lunch stating November 6!", it seems like they just started this menu yesterday and may still be working out the menu. Charred octopus: 7.5/10 Pork belly bo-ssam: 3.5 /10, pork belly cooked well, but the flavor felt under seasoned/lacking umami Spice rubbed pork ribs: 4.5/10, kimchi slaw was good, ribs were under seasoned. really need to mix the two for a better flavor combination

Leatricia N.

Yelp
I ended up at Bon Mot while waiting for my reservation at another restaurant near by, and I'm so glad I stumbled here. This cozy bar offers a fantastic selection of cocktails, and I couldn't resist trying one of their drinks. I opted for the Far East Fashion, which is their twist on an Old Fashioned. It featured coconut-washed Japanese whiskey, pandan, passionfruit cordial, and orange bitters. The result was a beautifully balanced drink with a smooth, rich coconut flavor and a tropical, slightly floral sweetness from the pandan and passionfruit. The orange bitters added a nice finishing touch, rounding out the flavors perfectly. The cocktail menu here is inventive and the vibe is relaxed and welcoming--perfect for unwinding before dinner. If you're in the area, I highly recommend stopping by for a drink. I'll definitely be back to explore more of their menu.

Yelp
Walked in right after they opened on a weekday and it was not busy at all at 5, the interior decoration captured my eye immediately as it is a very clean modern looking space with dark background, perfect for a night out. Me and my friend got appetizers to share and we were very full from it. I got a non alcoholic strawberry lychee milk fizz but it was too sweet for my taste, I recommend the other one which is yuzu pear sour if you are looking for a non alcoholic drink, it was the perfect balance between sweet and sour and I wish i got that one instead haha. The oysters were very fresh and I was delighted by the cucumber(?) wasabi mix they came with which made the bite taste even more refreshing. The fries and the sauce combination is the best I've ever had. The fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, pared with the Korean style(?) sauce, it was perfect and so delicious. The chicken wings were mid and not up to my standards and too over priced for how much it is. The rose tteobokki is definitely something different from the regular ones you'd get at another Korean restaurant, I didn't specifically like the yu-choy they put in it and to me it could've been more spicy, I would not order it again. The servers were very nice and always came around to ask how we were doing! I'd come back again to try their entree next time for sure!

I didn't look up the place at all, so I had no idea what to expect. I actually thought this spot was a french place based on the name. Turns out, it's a little bit of a bunch of things with the main influence seeming to be korean. They have soju cocktails, bossam, etc. I'd say the star of this spot are the drinks. I started with the smoke on the water. I normally don't get tequila cocktails, but I wanted that spicy contrast. Next up was a rye manhattan. My go to. Boozy, but still nicely balanced. I wanted something light to end with, so got the berry fresh. Actually very refreshing. The steak was one of my favs. Had a nice smoke to it. The garlic noodles had a good chew, but I found them kinda bland. Definitely needed more garlic flavor. The risotto had a good amount of seafood, but I found a few pieces of shell in my bites. Thankfully I didn't crack a tooth. There is no kids menu, so we asked for one of the garlic noods to be non spicy. Otherwise, the kids seemed to enjoy the fries (with normal ketchup that is), charcuterie, steak, etc. Our server was great. Friendly and attentive. We kept asking for things for the kids, hot sauces for the adults, etc. Everyone was happy to oblige. I'm not sure what their automatic gratuity policy is, but I'm guessing it applies when there are 6 or more people? Fun spot and very convenient if you want to check out other places in the plaza. Yelp
I recently visited Bar Bon Mot, and it was a fantastic experience! The ambiance strikes a perfect balance between sophisticated and relaxed, making it a great spot for a night out. It was pretty busy for a Tuesday night (which is always a good sign), but I heard that it gets packed on the weekends. I went with a group of 4 and I probably won't recommend going with a group bigger than that, unless you don't mind sitting at different booths or sitting at the bar. We sat at the bar with Chi as our bartender and the service was excellent. He was knowledgeable about the drinks as well as the food menu. Even though he was our server, everyone worked as a team and our waters were never lower than half the glass. They always came at the right time to take our orders but also didn't pester us the entire time. I believe they have a seasonal menu, so I didn't see some of the items listed on the Yelp "Popular Dishes" list, but all the food we got was still really delicious. Appetizers: Charred Octopus - Great. Big pieces of octopus (body and tentacles) that were perfectly cooked, tender but not chewy and they had a hint of smokiness. Confetti Tots - Amazing. It's like tater tots covered in takoyaki seasoning. It also comes with a good amount of tots, so it makes an excellent side dish as well. Rose Tteokbokki - Super cheesy and very Instagram worthy. The sauce was yummy and not too spicy. K.F.C. Korean Fried Cauliflower - I did not expect to like this as much as I did but I LOVED it. It really does taste like Korean fried chicken. I actually like the smaller pieces more than the bigger pieces of cauliflower because the smaller pieces were slightly crunchier from the caramelized crust. Definitely would get again. Entrees: Pan Seared Prime Ribeye - Honestly did not look great at first LOL. It looked overcooked but when we cut inside it was a perfect medium rare. It is paired with a side of roasted vegetables and a red wine reduction, each bite was indulgent and satisfying. Personally, I wished there were a bit more greens and potatoes and less meat but I realize I'm probably in the minority. Duck a Deux Facons - Really good preparation of duck. If you have ever wanted to introduce someone to eating duck I would recommend this dish. The duck was not too fatty (like Peking Duck) and had a very mild taste with a delicious sauce. I believe the sauce is made from pressing the bones. Desserts: Carrot Cake - Solid carrot cake, not too sweet and not to heavy on the spices. Tiramisu - I preferred the Tiramisu, it was moist but still delicate and had the perfect hint of espresso. It also comes with a cute chocolate cup filled with mousse. Drinks: I'm someone that doesn't really like the taste of alcohol, so I'll list this from best tasting to strongest. Peach Pear Party - My favorite. It was sweet like peach/ asian pear juice and barely tasted like alcohol (even thought I literally saw them pour the shot). Berry Fresh - Refreshing. Tastes like a berry seltzer with a slight floral after taste. This is a good drink to have while you are eating. Ube Dream - Good, tastes like you're eating ube ice cream. Personally I like lighter, refreshing drinks so not really my cup of tea. Hint of alcohol. Lychee De Leche - Same as above. More "de leche" than lychee, so it was creamy and also has a stronger alcoholic taste. Far East Fashioned - My boyfriend is a whisky drinker and he really liked it. I didn't think the pandan would go well with whisky but he said it worked really well. The Rye Espresso - Pro tip: mix in the whipped cream before you drink it. It looks like a chocolate shake but definitely doesn't taste like one. I think they used 100 proof alcohol so the alcohol taste is really strong and overpowers the drink. My friend that likes strong alcohol liked it though. This place is definitely more on the higher end side, so wouldn't come here in sweats after working out, but I also don't think it's too stuffy that they expect you to order $1,000 worth of food/drinks. That said, don't come hungry either, these are not American diner sized portions and at most you'll leave feeling satisfied but not belly bursting full. I'll come back for like a date night or special occasion, but (if I lived nearby) I would come back more often for their happy hour or for their upcoming lunch menu.

Yelp
This was a great place to celebrate our anniversary. The ambience made the experience very enjoyable with its classy bar, large windows, and unique pieces of decor. The drinks were strong, although not the best Asian flavored cocktails I've tried. They did give us free tequila shots to celebrate the occasion which was super kind. We got the seaweed aioli fries and i would go back here just to get those again. It was so good and I haven't tried fries with such delicious dipping sauce. For the entree, we also got boiled pork belly which came with three side sauces. This was also delicious, however I think it was a bit pricey for what it was. It was still a very simple and delicious dish. Overall the food was great and delicious and the ambience was a big part of the experience

Yelp
I expected to love Bon Mot, but it really fell short for me. We visited on a Wednesday evening and were seated immediately with no reservation. The interior was dimly lit, with modern decor, and a nice ambiance. We were seated in a comfortable booth, towards the back of the restaurant. For drinks, my friend and I both chose the Strawberry Lychee Milk Fizz mocktail. This was honestly the best part of our experience - so delicious and unique! For food, we ordered a bunch of small plates to share. The Endive Salad was okay, but nothing special, and the shallot mustard vinaigrette was too subtle to really taste. The Crispy Chicken Wings were really disappointing. They were bone-in and breaded, but the soy garlic sauce came on the side, in a shallow dish. It was hard to get much of the sauce on the wings, so they ended up being kind of dry and flavorless. The Burrata Cheese itself was tasty but the "house xo" was very strange. It had a bit of a fishy/shrimp-like taste to it, which did not pair well with the burrata. The only item we liked was the K.F.C. Korean Fried Cauliflower. The portion size was good for sharing and the sweet chili glaze was tasty. Overall though, the appetizers were a let down. Service was reasonably quick and our server Barsha was very sweet and friendly. Since Bon Mot's menu changes regularly, I would probably return in the future, but this visit just wasn't the best.

Yelp
I can see how Bon Mot is appealing for someone looking for something unique, but I can't say the food was up to par. Everything is oddly sweet. They have great service and it's cute inside, sort of like a small business lounge, but I would only return for drinks. Everything on the menu is unique and creative - apps, entrees, desserts, cocktails. But more than half of what we ordered was not great. Marinated Salmon Roe, Fluffy Sweet Potato (with Santa Barbara Uni add-on): 3.5/5 That roe and uni were super fresh! But the buttery, rich potato was just soooo rich and way too sweet. It ruined the balance of this dish. Anchovies Perilla Leaf: 2/5: Wilted leaves, and slightly soggy, less tasty anchovies than your typical home-cooked Korean food. The buttery cream sauce that you dip the bread into was oddly sweet, too. The homemade bread was outstanding, but it was an odd mix. Banana cocktail: 2/5: This was not good. It tasted like banana extract chemicals. Whiskey cocktails: 4/5: I tried them all and they're great. Good balance of spirits and unique flavors. It could be a tad less sweet, but hey - I'd rather my drink be sweet than my food.

Yelp
honestly nice little bar here to hang out and chill with friends locally! food menu changes and it's always korean fusion-ish which fits most of our palate anyway!! it's a bit pricey but what isn't nowadays the servers are really nice tho and will always recommend good drinks to your liking!

Yelp
Everyone here was in their 30's, zero families around. Just friend groups and dates. The vibe here is exclusive. Dark decor, ultra posh service. Wife and I are from San Diego and we have toddlers, we don't come to places like this anymore. At one point I was using the huge fork for the appetizer and our friend was like, "Peter, that's the entree fork." I'm just a dumb dad with a stupid look on my face. The cocktails here are strong but PRICY. $20 for 2.5oz of Chardonnay is a bit silly imo. I got a tequila soda to follow that up and that was well worth the money. While service is excellent food here is strong but leans to the more average side. This sits between Lazy Dog and Alexander's. While items are crafted with precise execution they're a touch short on flavor. I wanted some chicken wings and these were comparable to Orange Chicken at Panda Express, though less sweet and flavorful. We did get some crispy broccolini green bean thing that was remarkable, but the proteins were kinda weak. Overall I'd recommend this spot for a couple apps, a couple drinks, then some somi somi for dessert. Truly cool spot.

Yelp
I recently checked out Bar Bon Mot, and I have to say, it lived up to the hype! The vibe here is the perfect mix of classy and chill, making it a great choice for a night out. Even though it was just a Tuesday, the place was pretty packed and I hear weekends are even busier. I went with a group of four, and I'd recommend keeping it that size if you can. Anything bigger and you might end up splitting into different booths or sitting at the bar. We chose to sit at the bar, and our bartender Chi was amazing. He was super friendly and really knew his stuff when it came to both drinks and food. What impressed me most, though, was how well the team worked together. Even though Chi was our main server, our waters were always full, and our orders were taken at the right times never rushed, but never forgotten either. Super attentive, but not in an overbearing way. They have a seasonal menu, so I didn't see some of the items listed on Yelp's "Popular Dishes," but everything we had was still really tasty. Definitely planning to come back! Appetizers: Confetti Tots - Incredible! It's like tater tots with a takoyaki twist. They were extra crunchy. You get a generous portion, making it a great side dish too. K.F.C. Korean Fried Cauliflower - I honestly wasn't expecting to love this as much as I did, but wow, it was delicious! It seriously tastes just like Korean fried chicken, which was such a pleasant surprise. So good! Definitely will be ordering this again next time. Rose Tteokbokki - Super cheesy, you'll get an amazing cheese pull from it. Great if you love tteokbokki. Entrees: If you're looking to try duck or introduce someone to it, Duck a Deux Facons is a great choice! The duck itself isn't too fatty. The sauce is incredible too so rich and flavorful. I'd definitely recommend giving it a try! Dessert: The Carrot Cake was really good, moist, and not too overpowering with the spices. The Tiramisu was soft and moist, but still light. It also comes with a cute little chocolate cup filled with mousse, which adds a nice extra treat! Drinks: Berry Fresh - Super refreshing! The Rye Espresso - Warning it is a super strong drink that uses 100 proof apparently but if you like strong drinks it's for you. Lychee De Leche - Like Lychee milk with a hint of alcohol aftertaste Ube Dream - Delicious, it's like eating ube ice cream in drink form. Overall, the vibe is upscale but not overly fancy, so you won't need to break the bank. Portions are on the smaller side, but the quality makes it worth it you'll leave satisfied. Great spot for a date night or a fun evening out with friends.

Yelp
LOVED the food here, perfect for special occasions or fancy night out! From start to finish, I thought most of the dishes we tried were delicious. I loved how unique their dishes were - also cool that they have a rotating menu too! We initially came for their tasting menu but were disappointed to find that they weren't offering it the night that we visited. So, we opted for a few plates to share! My highlights were the KFC (Korean Fried Cauliflower), Strawberry Lychee Milk Fizz, and Rose Tteokbokki. The KFC was SOOo addicting; a perfect balance and the savory flavors of the chili glaze were amazing. Apart from that, the Rose Tteokbokki was a close second in terms of favorites. Definitely would've appreciated a larger serving, but the rose flavor was fragrant and it was at the perfect spice level. Definitely would recommend the milk fizz for a non-alcoholic drink too! Super refreshing. Service was okay and we had minimal interaction with our server. Food came out at a decent time though and we were happy with our meal overall!

Yelp
Good food with good company! I made a reservation for 7 people 2 days before the planned date and Bon Mot was able to accommodate a big group for us which was nice since it was a more last-minute reservation. The restaurant is next to a hotel in the Cupertino Plaza which I did not expect. The inside was dimly lit with a more intimate ambiance. It was quite small on the inside so it reminded me of a local bar than a restaurant. We all started with drinks and I ordered the Lychee de leche. It was good to drink and had that nice lychee flavor. My group and I decided to ordered tapa to share and our individual entrees. For tapas we did: brussel sprouts, smoked salmon tartar, mentaiko fritters, and the rose tteokbokki. My favorite tapas had to be the brussel sprouts and the rose tteokbokki. The brussel sprouts were so crispy and savory but it also had a sweet sauce to it which I enjoyed. The rose tteokbokki was great and it reminded me a lot of the other rose tteokbokkis I tried prior; the only thing with the rose tteokbokki was that it had A LOT of cheese like the bowl was basically half rose sauce & half cheese. For the entree, I ordered the bossam. It came with mini lettuce wraps and 3 assortments of sauces: samjang, a salty/fishy sauce, and what seemed to be pickled radishes (I would say radish kimchi but it did not seem fermented enough LOL). The bossam was super tender and the pork was super high in quality. All the sauces paired super well with it and I loved making my own lettuce wraps; I wish they did give me more lettuce because I ended up having two slices leftover and I felt it was too fatty to eat on its own. It also didn't taste like traditional bossam I had before but the quality of the meat made it worth it. I did wish the service was better. Our tapas came out relatively together but they did forget our rose tteokbokki. Also, it took 30+ minutes for our entrees to come out. Overall, this place is pretty pricey for food but it's a nice spot to try Asian-fusion dishes when you're on a date or just want to try something new in this plaza.

Yelp
Stylish new Korean fusion spot on Main Street in Cupertino. The environment was chill and it was easy to find parking spots in the lot behind the restaurant. We enjoyed all the food and drinks we ordered! - My favs included the grilled octopus (nice and charred!) and the bossam. - The hubby and his sister both loved the tteokbokki. It was nice and cheesy, with the right amount of spice. Recommended!

Yelp
Came here for happy hour and food was lackluster. Started with the octopus and it was tough to eat. It was very chewy. The oysters were good but it needed the hot sauce. The lamb was great. It was perfectly cooked. If I were to go back it would be for the lamb. The fish was over cooked and was dry and rubbery. And it needed more citrus. Our server was ok, not very attentive despite the restaurant not having many patrons at that time. This place is small and dark. Luckily we sat where the big windows were at so it wasn't too bad. It was quiet when we went so we could at least have a conversation.

Yelp
Came here for a Valentine's Day dinner so the menu was a special pre-fixe one. For starters we had the Caviar with a butternut squash custard and it was made with a delectable dashi. The custard was so delicate and of course it paired well with the beluga caviar. This was paired with the second course which consisted of baby beets, seaweed cream cheese, goose berries, all on top of a persimmon marmalade. This provided a nice palette cleanser to the more briny taste of the previous dish. The next two dishes were probably my favorite: a Dungeness crab salad nestled with crunchy apple and celtuce and a smoked scallop that was lightly seared as well and sitting in delicious abalone liver sauce that made you want to lick everything off the plate! The main dish was a perfectly cooked beef short rib that I'm pretty sure was cooked via sous vide which was accompanied with an addictive truffle cream, lettuce for wrapping, rice, and house made kimchi. Dessert was a pear sorbet with strawberry matcha cake! We were all super pleased with the meal and it was surprisingly filling. Looking to come back for another special occasion to try their regular menu!

Yelp
Small restaurant unfortunately positioned w the entrance kind of hard to find and the harsh sun from the west during dinner time makes a significant portion of their seating area hard to dine in. When we walked in, there was a couple that had to physically block their faces w their arms from the sun in their eyes bc we had opened the front door lol, so inconvenient! They ended up moving tables. This place is a cool concept but service is really stressed and slow, and of course it was so overpriced (but that's typical of Cupertino these days). Wait staff was very kind and attentive, but the energy in the restaurant was so busy and tired that you could feel it in the atmosphere while the food and drinks were mediocre. The valuation of entrées was quite off. The grilled pork ribs ($34) was a gigantic plate (took half of it in to-go box) and quite delicious while the ribeye steak ($48) was comparatively small at 8oz and definitely overcooked without much flavor. This place is much better at their pork than they are their beef; not surprising for Korean fusion. Cocktails and highballs were $16-19 per drink. Some of the descriptions looked interesting, but all tasted very weak. It's a cute spot and we wanted to like it to support stand-alone businesses (vs. the larger chains in the plaza) but won't return as it's not worth the $.

Yelp
Bar Bon Mot has jumped to one of my top 3 favorite restaurants overall. Detailed breakdown below: **Service, 5/5** Phenomenal! The reservation system wasn't working when I checked (looked fully booked for the next few months), so we walked in but were seated right away. The owner (I'm assuming) was very warm and asked us where we'd like to sit and checked on us when he saw us looking around. Our server was the sweetest and kindest woman ever, checked on us consistently, and made our celebratory date night incredibly memorable -- her recommendations were also so spot on! She made the evening so special! Even the chef came out at the end of our meal to ask us how the experience was. We felt so taken care of and were surprised at how upscale the dinner felt even though this is Bon Mot's more "casual" menu. **Decor & cleanliness, 5/5** Moody, romantic interior that makes you feel hidden away from the busier Main St Cupertino plaza. The tables have bag hooks which is a thoughtful detail I always look for. **Price & portion, 5/5** Prices are all very reasonable and the portions are great for sharing -- perfect for trying more things! **Presentation, 5/5** Gorgeous and picture perfect -- you can absolutely see the attention to detail. **Taste, 5/5** WOW! Every. Single. Dish. Was executed so well!! Can't wait to come back and try everything else on their menu :) - Smoked salmon tartare, 5/5: Although smoked, the salmon isn't too salty and pairs excellently with the mashed avocado and crispy rice chips. It's flavorful but light enough you keep coming back to it between bites of other apps. - Crispy mentaiko, 5/5: It looks unassuming, but the mushroom is insanely crispy and just bursting with flavor. The star here might be the creme fraiche ranch sauce though -- it's tangy, bright, and balances out the savory crunchy mushroom so you keep wanting to eat more. - Brussel sprouts, 4/5: I didn't expect the anchovies to work here, but they're salty, crispy, and carmelized and add so much layered flavor to the dish. The brussels themselves I would've preferred with more crispy outer layers though. - Tteokbokki, 5/5: This is a spicy one! Despite having such a low spice tolerance and needing sips of water between each bite, the amazing savory flavors come through. They're satisfyingly chewy without being too dense, and doesn't burn so much that the spiciness is the only thing you taste. - Grilled octopus, 4/5: The octopus wasn't as tender as I was hoping, but the flavors were great and it was such a visually stunning plate. - Sweet plum sauce pork ribs, 6/5: Holy cow, I think these were the best pork ribs I've ever had. They had great distribution of fat without being overly fatty or oily, were cooked so perfectly, and were soooo juicy and tender. The sauce was the perfect amount of savoriness and sweetness and covered everything without being too messy or taking away from the fantastic pork. This is a must order! **Other notes** Restrooms are in the hotel lobby out the door to the left (if you're facing the bar).

Yelp
Ambiance: I love the details of the bar to silverware, everything is in fact beautiful. It's a semi low lit restaurant where you can enjoy date night to a chill place to vibe after work. Service: Staff is attentive and hospitality really shows here. Parking: People come and go frequently where you are able to find parking and there is also a parking garage if needed. Drinks and food: Drinks are beautifully crafted and food is handled with love here by the chef. Bartenders are knowable about the ingredients and surely spruce them up. My favorite cocktail here is the *lychee de leche"

Ankita K.

Yelp
My husband took me to this place for my birthday dinner and i must say this place is amazing. We ordered - Far East fashioned (5/5) - lychee de leche. (5/5) - Korean Fried Cauliflower (5/5) - Grilled Pork ribs (4.5/5) ( I wish there were more sauce option in this other than the bbq one) The taste of all the dishes and drink was amazing. Overall, from ambience to taste to service everything was perfect. Cant wait to visit this place again try the other dishes too. The portion size and price are pretty decent too. Overall, i will give this place 4.5/5

Yelp
My husband and I have been consistently coming here, even before the current new owners. We always come here when we want to have a good time. The vibes, the drinks, and the variety of smaller and bigger plates make it a great date night spot. Especially if we want the main event to be good drinks! We like how we don't have to plan too far ahead as it's usually quite empty, even on a Fri or Sat night. Our fav place to sit is by the bar! The dishes are overall quite good. My husband and I will usually order 3 appetizers and 1 entree. We love how there's a good selection of appetizers because we prefer being able to have a variety of different dishes. We've tried a variety of their dishes by this point, and we don't think there are any bad dishes BUT some do stand out more than others. Our fav go-to is the Charred Octopus, it's always cooked perfectly. The drinks menu is a decent size with a good variety. I personally love Lychee De Leche! Charles, the bartender always makes really good suggestions when you're in the mood for something new but not sure what. Overall, Bon Mot is pretty good and reliable when you want a good time and have it be a good value. I've been here at least 10 times since they've opened which I think says a lot.

Yelp
We were excited to try this place out. It's pretty busy on a Tuesday night. We started out with non alcoholic strawberry fuzz and he got the coconut old fashion. Both were delicious. Got the tteokbokki and KFC (cauliflower). Both were fantastic and the highlight of our meal. Wagyu was OK. Warm and chewy. Shrimp curry was good, not what we expected but we liked they kept the shrimp heads on. The basque cheesecake was not good. Flat, small and didn't really taste that burnt exterior we thought it was suppose to have... not the typical basque cheesecake. The pear yuzu sorbet was alright. Not sure if we will return but the appetizers were good.

Yelp
Attached to the Residence Inn in Main Street. Plenty of space and no need for any reservations. Nice staff and cozy interior, but pretty overpriced for what you get (expected). Tried a few different drinks and all were strong and decently flavored, just very expensive!

Nini T.

Yelp
Bon mot is an elevated lounge where you can enjoy Asian inspired cocktail and yummy food. My friend and I really enjoyed our experience here! I really enjoyed their non alcoholic drinks and happy hour menu! Pretty affordable, for 2 people we ordered 2 drinks, oysters, rose tteokbokki, fries, and wings. Portions are perfect for those that just want a light meal while enjoying delicious cocktails. I can wait to bring my friends back here!

Ratna J.

Yelp
The drinks are absolutely delicious! And the brussel sprouts with candied anchovies with fried rice cake is phenomenal. I got the Lychee De Leche drink, which is amazing. And well worth the price. The Good Juju drink is a soju based drink with egg whites and I love it. Love the addition of the hearts on the drink. My only critique would be the "rose tteokbokki" it tastes good but it didn't have enough gochujang. In the future, I would ask customers to rate how spicy they want it to be and can adjust the gochujang accordingly. This dish wasn't spicy at all which was a little bit of a let down. But I love the addition of cheese, greens, and corn with this dish. The service is amazing. The waitress was very attentive and kind. And the ambiance is perfect for a romantic date or a night out.

Zaneta C.

Yelp
We tried this place mostly because it was one of few restaurants in our area that was on Resy, which we had an AMEX credit for. Located in the lobby of a hotel, has large parking structure nearby. The food was pretty good, the ambience was nice, the drinks were cute and pretty delicious, but everything seemed really expensive for what it was (and the drinks were alot smaller than your standard cocktail drinks). Staff was really nice. The menu has changed recently as they have a new chef, so a lot of the photos on yelp of food from the past are not what they serve anymore.
