Bar Caffettiera

Focaccia sandwiches were super light, fresh and crunchy. Great coffee. Great bomboloni. Great atmosphere. They made this place out to be a typical trendy “bar” you would find in Italy. Including the all italian staff and typical italian service; a little slow, a little disorganized and a loudly chaotic. It gives you that feeling of being in the old country so for someone who is used to North American standards maybe its not the place for you! Small quaint coffee spot. Can’t wait to go back!

we stopped by for a quick breakfast and absolutely loved it. The pastries were fresh and flaky, and the latte was perfect with great flavor. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the cozy atmosphere made it even better. A true Italian style café experience .

I love this little gem. It has hilarious rules posted to the wall and has are Italian gone rogue vibe. It’s may favourite stop downtown to grab a flat white without alone milk!! ;) I do wish they had coconut milk though rather than oat milk which is basically like drinking pasta water.

Immaculate vibes hit you as soon as you walk in. They offer premium coffee—no "dirty water," just quality. The decor is beautiful and the outdoor terrace is a must-enjoy. Pay attention to the door rules; they're part of its unique charm. The staff is incredible, especially Luca, who always brightens my visit!

Great Italian vibing cafe. Nice to see a coffee menu with a lot of different options. Also a great place to get your Italian snacks!! Nice and comfortable patio. A lot of food choices here as well. Cute , fun and delightful.

Great spot for a quick coffee and treat! Stopped by in the morning and the service was quick and easy. I tried the macochinno and Nutella donut - definitely try it. The drink was smooth, flavourful and the chocolate at the bottom was great. Donut filling was a rich chocolate taste. Overall - worth it, check them out!

You can smell the cooking from a distance — pretty strong! Super busy spot, the patio’s always full. The coffee’s really unique, super foamy, almost like a cocktail shake.

Funky Italian cafe. Perfectly snarky, tongue in cheek humor in the vibe. The most in incredible pistachio croissant I’ve ever eaten. I will dream about that pastry for the rest of my life. Espresso is excellent with the perfect balance of flavor and crème

Hectic fun , friendly vibe at this small Italian cafe. Plenty of hot drinks, Italian breakfast treats, toast, sandwiches. My hot chocolate was yummy as was the bomboloni with jam. Tables turn quickly and no laptop loitering allowed!

Great place to grab a coffee. Classic Italian coffee shop where all their coffees are 1 size which I find great Bakery items are great too. I had the hazelnut espresso There's no wifi and has a bar like setup, which I haven't seen before in a coffee shop. Quick service too

Literally one of the most perfectly prepared single espresso's in the city! Simon doesn't mess around when it comes to providing extraordinary service --- and he surely knows his way around a coffee bar, plus coffee making equipment. So much so, you'd think he was actually born Italian. Regardless, of where he's officially from - he knows his stuff. While I'm on the subject of great service and hard work; his counter counterpart Ryan is always doing something to keep the ship top shape! In between his duties, he still manages to keep up an outstanding and memorable level of hospitality. Apart from top shelf level staff the decor is beyond hip - with its pick one; 70s, 80s or 90s colour theme meets authentic Napoleon coffee bar setting. The music fittingly matches the vibe --- usually either 90s hip hop or classic Italian. I could go on and on about the perfect mix of Italian specialties from real-deal Italian sweet treats to savory sandwiches (in which to nibble or chew on when sipping your coffee). I'd venture to say they nailed it in the just-the-right-amount-of-choice category. As per beverages they have a well curated mix of cold and hot beverage, plus an aperitivos list that leave nothing to be desired. To top off a memorable visit they even have swag which ranges from clothing to bags of coffee roasted and imported from Rome (whole bean or ground) in their signature pink packaging. Definitely looking forward to my next chance to try more of their offerings -- maybe you can tell by the description, but let me highlight this --- it's the kind of place you don't want to leave. They simply have the best coffee (Americano) I've ever had. very smooth with no sour notes. Fresh Italian coffee beans. Also do try the pistachio croissant. it was my favorite ever.

Caffettiera is artisan coffee made by experts. They are serious and studious about making espresso to rival the quality you might find in cafe in Italy. The froth in my Cappucino was perfect, thick, decadent, and sublime. If you want to understand how amazing Caffettiera is get an espresso based beverage to go then walk two or three doors further to Tim Horton's or to Starbucks and order an the same drink. Caffettiera crushes Starbuck the same way a Shake Shack crushes Burger King. Great Drinks, great staff, great vibe. 5 stars.

Amazing cafe with lots of spunk and character!! Great espressos and service in an Italian style cafe. There's seating and a stand up bar if you want to drink your espresso and go. Would go back for a fix in a heartbeat.

What a great addition to this part of downtown: I stopped at this little café bar on a week day around 3 pm for coffee, the interior is amazing! I loved everything from the colours to the choices of furniture. Service was joyful, which is always a plus especially nowadays. I wanted to add a pastry but didn't know what to choose and they suggested the perfect combination ( I can't recall the name of this Italian specialty unfortunately). They also have a terrasse that I can't wait to try next summer... I will be back!

Super cute little coffee shop/bar(?) that made us some delicious warm drinks on a cold day - I loved my little chocolate donut as an afternoon treat and my husband enjoyed a weirdly spicy/sweet grilled cheese. The guy working here literally couldn't have been nicer, and got our visit to Montreal off to a great start. Would definitely return when we are in town again!
