"Right in the heart of South Beach, Bar Collins is a crown jewel as far as hotel bars are concerned in the 305. Spanning a large part of the Loews Miami Beach lobby, this spot serves up delicious drinks and such great people watching. In fact, as the host hotel of the annual SOBEWFF, it’s a prime spot for celebrity chef sightings. Oh, and for those who might be missing the sushi from Lure Fish Bar (recently replaced by Rao’s), have no fear because it’s now served here." - Amber Love Bond

Yelp
Shoutout to the bartender that really took care of me. I was waiting for some people to come to me and sat at the bar alone for quite some time during 4th of July. I got some drinks while I waited and the bartender kept checking on me to make sure I was okay. He gave me water to make sure I was hydrated enough and even some food to snack on. He hooked me up with a great espresso martini that was beautifully presented with a July 4th design. And the mojito I also got there was great. I did end up also ordering food here for dinner as well. The food was good. I got pizza, crudo and a salad. Everything was great but the only thing they messed up on was forgetting my salad dressing. The inside of this place is beautiful. They have a bar inside and outside. Both were nice. Overall, its a great bar to grab drinks at.

Yelp
talented bartenders, may even see them flip a bottle or two. ordered the carpaccio two days in a row- so good!! located in hotel lobby.

Yelp
Ate at Bar Collins twice while I was staying at Loews Miami. The first time I had the Waygu Burger. It was pretty big and was a bit messy. Asked for it medium well, but it was cooked much closer to medium or even medium rare. Had a lot of flavor, but wouldn't have ordered it again. Maybe not worth the price. The second meal I had was the Pizza Blanco with the Mediterranean Olives Appetizer. This entire meal was excellent! The olives came in a mixture of oil and cashew's. One of the tastiest appetizers I've ever ordered! And the Pizza... Wow! So good! This meal would have me coming back for more!

Nikki M.

Yelp
Angelo R served us up some incredible dishes! We had a variety of small dishes and everything was delicious. Wow! The restaurant is inside the hotel which is nice as we were visiting friends staying at the Loews. The tropical lobster was an explosion of flavors...I dipped it in eel sauce. Our friends also had other dishes which they all loved too! All the staff here was also very friendly.

Yelp
Bar Collins (lobby bar) at the Loew's Miami Beach (@loewsmiami) is hugely underrated. We stumbled in here on a Monday night after dinner when most other bars in the area were closed. It ended up being a great find. The bartenders are very gifted in craft cocktail-making, the truffle fries are a tasty post-dinner snack, and there are TVs playing MNF! It checked all the boxes for me Add me on @miamicheatdays for more recommendations!

Yelp
VEGAN REVIEW Came here for a light post-massage meal. Fattoush salad was tasty, one of the few vegan options on the menu, no protein. Fast & friendly service. Typical nice hotel bar ambiance.

Yelp
Can I give less than one star? King salmon fishy. Sea bass ok. Potatoes and fries tasted like they were cooked in old grease. Took us an hour and a half to get through the meal. Service although nice people was terrible. Have a drink at the bar and go somewhere else to spend 250 dollars for a dinner for two.

Yelp
Came in for happy hour while at Art Basel, and our bartender Svetlana made our night. Such a kind person, who has really mastered her craft. Every drink she made us was beautiful, tasty, and strong. Food was also amazing, a standout was the truffle fries. Definitely check this place and Svetlana out, u won't regret it.

Yelp
I was passing a lot of times by this hotel and last week decided to see how is it inside, Bar collins is a very casual restaurant, inside space looks like a beautiful lobby of the hotel, and they have a terrace too. I had a great waitress from Argentina, Lucila is her name, she was very fast and helpful in choosing a snack for me! Their empanadas are really good but a little expensive. I was lucky that happy hour just started there and I payed $40 for a couple of empanadas and 2 beers. For a nice place and great service it's not bad!

Yelp
What is better than a hotel bar? Bar Collins at the Loews is one of my favorites. They make great classic cocktails, they offer a good happy hour and have the most important making of a good hotel bar- the ability for quality people watching. I've found myself here when I'm in the area working, and also make it a pit stop before a night out on the beach. My go to cocktails are a French 75 or a classic dirty martini. Staff is friendly and quick with the drinks, too!

Yelp
We spent a lot of time at this bar/restaurant during our 1 week stay at Loews. I thought the food and drinks were really great and there was a good variety as far as different tastes and cultures go. There's sushi, Mediterranean dishes, pizza and good old fashion burgers. We had a little bit of everything, including a fair share of cocktails. Dishes were tasty, well seasoned, felt scratch-made and the cocktails were always strong and balanced. Drinks are pricey (about $20) and they charge automatic 20% gratuity (seems like a trend in Miami) so be prepared for a big tab if you plan on having multiple drinks. As far as hotel restaurants/bars go, this is probably one of my favorites.

Lauren K.

Yelp
My husband and I ordered a burger and empanadas! Highly recommend. I also ordered whiter-hills Sauvignon Blanc it was a great glass of wine! It is located in the Loews hotel.

Ray K.

Yelp
Convenient bar located in a hotel that is not terribly overpriced, however, drinks are $20 apiece but we're typically made fairly well. This is in contrast in the pool area where the drinks are mostly water down and not worth the higher price tag. Seating is generally fairly easy, either at the bar, or on the couches, and can get relatively busy at night, or at the end of conferences

Yelp
Located inside of Loews Miami Beach Hotel, Bar Collins is the onsite star of the dining scene for the hotel. The bar itself is sleek, modern with the Miami/Spanish influences in the tile and colors. It is pretty spacious and can seat around 20 comfortably. Outside of the bar, you have a spacious dining room that features dining tables, lounge tables and seating, high tops, booths and other relaxed seating that works for full meals or cocktails. I happened to do both throughout my short visit to Loews Miami. First night we bellied up to the bar to have a few cocktails. They offer a solid variety of house cocktails in addition to a healthy wine list and a full bar. We just drank this evening, but on the third day I stopped by Bar Collins for lunch. This is the morning I had Preston's for breakfast, so I was not starving and ended up getting an appetizer for lunch...and I was not mad at that decision as the Empanadas de Pollo were delicious! My peers enjoyed the Mango Chopped Salad and Pizza Bianca, and both really enjoyed! Service was stellar from the bartenders to the servers. Overall, no issues with our trips to Bar Collins. Solid hotel bar/restaurant!

Yelp
It hit the spot! I sat outside on a beautiful day. I had a Cobb salad; and a grey goose and raspberry drink. The ambiance is old world Florida meets luxury and beach. Love it!!

Donyiel C.

Yelp
Nice hotel bar! Great service, good food and drinks! A bit pricey but low key worth it. I mean it is Miami after all so everything is pricey! I had one of the best burgers I've had in a long time here! The drinks were really good. I enjoyed my hotel stay so when I'm back in Miami I know I'll be back at this hotel and this bar definitely.

Carina P.

Yelp
Very nice ambiance and bar scene! Saturday they have a happy hour - drinks only. You have to ask for the Happy Hour menu- its not advertised. Got 2 $11 cocktails! I liked the lychee razz martini better than the spritz.

MaryJo B.

Yelp
Great ambience but unfortunately, the drinks are OK and the food was mediocre. Would love it if they lightened up the menu and some fresh Mediterranean light foods.

Melissa S.

Yelp
The bar is in a beautiful lounge area of the Loews Hotel. There is very comfortable outside seating. Inside, the bar stools are comfy and there are a few tv screens for watching sports. The service is impeccable.

Derinda C.

Yelp
So this restaurant as part of the Loews Hotel Miami Beach, the service was good. We were greeted by the hostess and she was very nice. Our waitress was nice as well. I ordered the grilled octopus that was phenomenal. I recommend that. Also the roasted wings were soo good. My husband had the fish tacos and they were just ok. Nothing to write home about. They get four starts for the added unnecessary fees that they tack on to your bill. It was two of us and it was a 20 percent gratuity plus some other fee i think to just eat there then an extra gratuity option. I tip well, love my service workers but it cost way too much just to eat there. We spent our soo called credit on the lunch in one sitting. This hotel is super money hungry and just know everything Is up charged.

Julia P.

Yelp
Love this pizza it had a little ricotta on it. It tasted amazing. The burger was great too. Definitely get the pizza it was a 10.

Erik P.

Yelp
Bar Collins is located inside Loews Hotel Miami. Place is very modern, open, bright, and has great views. You can come here to lounge with friends, have a nice dinner or lunch, or just to chill and have a drink at the bar. Staff is super cool and nice but they can get slammed it can be a bit of a slow service. Drinks are made with quality and have great presentations. Good selection of liquor also. Over all this place is really nice with indoor and outdoor seating with great drinks, staff, and quality food.

C F.

Yelp
Fantastic spot. Make sure you say hello to James. Good apps and better old fashions.

Jamal B.

Yelp
Stopped in to watch the NBA Finals (Congratulations Golden State) and my experience was excellent. The staff here made me feel like no matter what I asked for, it would be taken care of. I would absolutely recommend Bar Collins when in South Beach.

Angelo R.

Yelp
I came here to kill time because it was pouring rain and the traffic getting out of SoBe was just awful. It was also convenient because I just had a business meeting at Loews. It's around 5pm and thankfully happy hour ended at 6pm. FYI, their HH is from 3pm Monday thru Saturday. They have $7 wines, $8 cocktails and bar bites. I got the Cucumber Breeze for my 1st round and it was very refreshing. I believe it was made with gin. The 2nd drink I got was the Miami Vice Mule but instead of vodka, I opted to stick with gin. It was also good. The cocktails were definitely not watered down here and they also give you a small bowl of delicious crackers. I really wish I tried one of the HH bar bites but I wanted some oysters from Lure Fish bar next door. Nevertheless, I had a relaxing time here and the service was good as expected from a well-known hotel. Will be back.

Yelp
I wasn't expecting much from what was essentially a pool bar, but this was definitely one of the best mahi mahi sandwiches I've had.

Matt C.

Yelp
The handcrafted cocktails and chic decor deserve a round of applause, but the service dampened our overall experience. I love frequenting high end, hotel bars around the country. After four action-packed days of SOBEWFF, a coworker brought our group of five here. She knew my high (almost snobby) bar for craft cocktails, and I knew she wouldn't let me down. The bar program impressed me due to its presence of classic cocktails, yet many with contemporary twists. My eyes locked with the Barrel Aged Mezcal Negroni. Montelobos Mezcal Casamigos Reposado Tequila Aperol Sweet Vermouth Coffee & Cocoa Bitters The addition of deep, rich bitters paired perfectly with the sweet vermouth. If the cocktail just contained mezcal it would've been a miss. However the combination of reposado tequila with the mezcal provided the right balance of smokiness and vegetal characteristics. The Aperol cut through exquisitely. 5-star cocktail from beginning to end. Unfortunately, after being seated at the high top table and our server taking our orders, we waited over 20 minutes for our cocktails. If they were busy, I wouldn't have minded. Yet, there were three people behind the bar not making drinks with not many patrons in attendance. Our server apologized for the wait. However for the steep prices, you expect to be taken care of much quicker. The fact that I watched three bartenders moseying around for 20 minutes left a sour taste in my mouth. Overall, a beautiful space that should impress almost anyone. If you are looking for a quick drink on South Beach, this might not be the place. If time isn't of the essence, sit down and order a stiff drink from Bar Collins.

Tim B.

Yelp
Terribly managed place! I'll never set a foot in here again! If you read my reviews I never give 1 star, but Bar Collins at Loews Miami deserves less than that. We went here for a drink before dinner and sat at a table next to the bar. The bartender could have sent someone over. It was obvious that nobody was serving us but I guess that isn't his job... After 10 minutes a waiter came by with menus, wine list etc. We told him that we just were having one drink before dinner. He said that was fine and promised to return. He never did. 10 minutes for a waiter to show 20 minutes of no waiter after that. 30 minute of bartender not paying any attention to what was going on at the tables. We finally went to the bar for our drinks but probably should have just left. If there was a manager on site I never saw him/her and they clearly weren't managing anything in the front of the house. Terribly run place. With all the choices in such a short walking distance I wouldn't give this place a second chance. Avoid.

Jazsmine B.

Yelp
The customer service is great. Michael and Luciano were great, we actually came to the bar Collins two days a row and they were able to get our drinks/ food quickly and provided us with great recommendations. The raspberry lemon drop was amazing and not to mention gave us the perfect buzz. This would be a 5 star bar if the prices weren't so high.

Jessica M.

Yelp
Family Friendly - comfortable seating area after a long day at the beach. Good dinner options + they offer room Service - room service is better than sitting in the bar New York - good steak mediocre Mac-n- cheese w/ chicken - pretty good and would order again Burger / fries - very good

Ben S.

Yelp
Bar Collins was a great first meal for our trip in Miami. If you're staying at the Loews and want high quality pan-American fare, this is a great spot. We got a table outside on the patio and had a view of the pool, palm tree lined entryway, and beach (sort of). It was a lovely spot. We received very kind service that was surprisingly fast. I got a beer, and we ordered the guacamole and chips, quinoa salad, and margarita pizza. Everything was very delicious and the portion sizes were generous. Prices were high (think typical resort) but not astronomical, especially considering how much food we got. We skipped desert because we were so full. The inside bar looked fun too, if that's what you're into. This would make a great lunch spot for a family on vacation, or a launching point for a night on the town with friends.

Katy M.

Yelp
The food was okay here. The truffle fries and vegan burger were both good. The bar service is very slow. My friend and I each ordered a Tito's and soda (a double because we waited so long to be served) and the bill was $77.00. For 2 drinks. We were shocked.

Rachel S.

Yelp
Impeccable service and very tasty beverages in a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere. Additionally there are phone charging outlets incl USB near the banquettes. I enjoyed a Raspberry 75 while relaxing in the bar and waiting for my room to be ready. The servers checked on me periodically to see if I needed anything else without being pushy. This is a nice place to enjoy a cocktail and meet up with friends. They also have bar bites and beer pairings when a big game is on tv

Alexandra G.

Yelp
I came here for Miami Spice not knowing that this was the Loews' Hotel's standard restaurant. Overall the food tasted good, however, I did not like the atmosphere of the restaurant since I myself was not staying at the hotel. Think of just a wide open space with tables, kind of like a library style. I had the spinach and cheese empanadas, which came as 3 and were so different and delicious! The churrasco was good but nothing out of this world. I enjoyed the salad and fries. Finally, the nutella brownie sunday was very good and very large. I wouldn't come back because I did not like the ambiance. The service was a-ok, and the food was very good.

Nikki G.

Yelp
Dined here recently for the dinner Miami Spice menu. Overall, great service and food. The restaurant brings out complimentary bread to start off with, which was totally necessary after a long day of work. What I ordered: Appetizer - churrasco anticucho - comes with 2 little skewers. Entree- lobster gnocchi. huge portion! Definitely bigger than what you typically get for Miami Spice. it was delicious! I ended up taking home leftovers. my only regret is wishing I had taken out the trout roe - not a big fan unless it's on sushi. Dessert- Nutella brownie sundae. By the time I got to dessert I was STUFFED. But I can never say no to Nutella so of course I went in. So delicious!! Paired my gnocchi with some Sauvignon Blanc. So good!

Vanessa S.

Yelp
Great service.. Amazing drinks ! Mike, Yosvel, and John's personality made our experience one of a kind! They're masters at their craft... All the drinks I ordered were on point! I definitely recommend this bar to anyone in the area who has a taste for quality.

Heather R.

Yelp
I love going to this far, especially when I'm not staying in the hotel. The cocktails are so on point and creative but classic. The service is exceptional and I just love the vibe and all the decor in there. I've gotten here a few times just to get a drink solo and have loved it! The Cucumber Gin cocktail is heaven

Jo-Ann M.

Yelp
I had the best lunch. And you actually have Sam Adams. I will undoubtedly visit again

Amanda G.

Yelp
The manager here is discriminative person that harassed me after I paid $20 for a short vodka. I just sat down at a table that had literally been vacant for an hour. I had been standing and my feet hurt, but I am 56 and obviously not a beautiful person worthy of sitting at a vacant table in his bar. Don't come here unless you are between 20 and 30 or you will not be allowed to sit down. You just stand whilst drinking your $20 beverage.

Danielle S.

Yelp
I recently stayed at Loews and we decided to grab dinner here on the first night. I love how many different options of seating there are.. lounge sofas/chairs, high tops, low tops, bar seating, outside seating. You can either come here for a drink and hangout or have a full dinner. They have a pizza oven and chef out in the open for you to see which I liked. The chef actually called us over and asked if we wanted pizza, which we did, so he put it in for us before we had even been seated so that it came out quicker. The menu has sooo many amazing food choices. I went for a cheese pizza and guacamole. I do think the cheese pizza could have had a little more flavor maybe if there was a different type of cheese mixed with the mozzarella it would be way better, still good though. The guacamole was yummy and I liked how they had different ingredients on the side so you could either mix it all in or leave it. The drinks menu is really good also and I had a mango margarita and they made it very well. The service was great and attentive. From the hostess, to the server and all of the other servers that were walking around. Everyone was always willing to help if we needed something. It was a Friday night that we ate here and they had a dj, I'm not sure if that's every night or just the weekend but it was a nice touch, definitely a fun place to go!

A C.

Yelp
I really like the Bar Collins at the Loews Hotel the food is always delicious they have great drinks and environment is lively.. we always dying here several times whenever we stay at Loew's. My salmon entrée was perfectly grilled and the coconut dessert was delicious.

Wes L.

Yelp
Guacamole was the best of the best. Prices are a bit high, considering I paid $55 ish for an app and two drinks, but I can't complain too much because they were top notch. The service was also really great and professional. Nice spot to go if you can drop some cash.

Dayna R.

Yelp
Manu the server went above and beyond! Great service! Thx Manu! If you come to the Loews and want to have yummy food by the pool, come here and make sure to ask for Manu!

Laurie M.

Yelp
The food was good, I had the NY Steak delicious . Mango salad excellent. My husband had Amish chicken good but white meat was dry. Diego & Anthony were awesome. Very friendly, prompt service. They made our dinner very pleasant. Overall experience was great. Highly recommend.

Ayesha A.

Yelp
3 1/2 stars The place is very loud and busy. The lobster gnocchi was amazing. The brussels sprouts was ok and the pizza was good. The drinks was decent, overall its not a place I would remember if it wasn't for the decor. I love the plating and utensils that they use and the customer service was really gfos

Tom W.

Yelp
Mojitos were top flight and the chips and guacamole were super fresh! Bar was a little pricey but you get your money's worth and the service was excellent!

Kaya D.

Yelp
The bar is open and able to operate due to Covid. The food is delicious I had the Beef empanada. The drinks are really good.

Harmun B.

Yelp
We came to the bar collins as we didn't feel like leaving the hotel after a long day at the beach. We tried the conch fritters which were over cooked and chewy not like the ones you get in Bahamas. The peruvian style app with shrimp and scallops on a skewer was delicious. The beef empanadas were flavourful. The lobster gnochhi was over rated you can't find much lobster in the meal. Overall the service was good drinks were pricey but expected for the lowes hotel bar.

Lynette B.

Yelp
This is the bar at the Loews Hotel so if you're looking for something cheap to eat, probably best to venture outside of the hotel. But if you've spent a long day at the beach and don't mind the hotel bar prices, this place is great to grab a filling bite and drink. That's exactly what we did when staying at the Loews on a long weekend. We had the artichoke and prosciutto pizza which is about the size of a personal pizza - I'd say about 10 inches. The pizza was delicious. It may have been the sun but I could have eaten a whole one by myself easily. Since I had been say drinking, I skipped on drinks but they had a very good selection of beers and wines. The service was awesome and it was a nice, comfortable place to enjoy some food and people-watching.

Matthew L.

Yelp
It was Friday night my friend and I had to go to Miami to pick up something and we decided to pop into the Bar Collins for a drink and a snack. We decided to order a bottle of something bubbly. We first went with a Proseco and were told they were out of it. So we ordered some champagne. We decided we also wanted some chips and guac. We placed the order and we waited and waited and waited more. Finally the chips and guac were served after about 10 minutes of waiting. We wondered hmm, where is the bottle of champagne we ordered. After about 20 minutes we finally got the bottle we had ordered. The service was slow. The guac needed SALT and Pepper. The guac had very little taste and they use a blue chip and blue chips in general have very little salt on them. After we finally added salt and pepper the guac was much better! The service was pretty off. It took a long time to finally get a check! Once we did we hurried to give the money so we could leave. One thing that was upsetting is that they did not mention that they already added gratuity to the bill. Thankfully I looked and realized it before I gave them an additional 20% on top of the 20% they already took. Make sure to check your bill here just in case they added gratuity to your bill.
