The 18 Best Restaurants In Palma De Mallorca - The Infatuation

"Pintxos aren’t really a Mallorcan speciality, but a few energetic bars are bringing the art of pintxo-making to Palma’s old town. This cozy spot just off Plaça Major is fun for a snack during the middle of the day, after you've worked up an appetite wandering around the monuments, shops, and plazas. The pintxos de barra stacked up on the counter get snapped up quickly, so the earlier you arrive, the better. There’s also a short tapas menu of patatas bravas topped with sobrassada, homemade tortillas, and croquettes stuffed with vegetables, jamón, or bullit (a meaty Mallorcan stew). The team’s second location in the nearby Sa Gerreria district is ideal if you’re keen to enjoy your pintxos out on a bustling terrace." - isabella noble

Very nice service. The food is delicious, especially the bar snack, which was excellent. The atmosphere is authentic, and the drinks are good. Very good price–performance ratio. A visit is definitely worth it.

Would recommend! Went here on July 28 around 20:00 there was a long waiting time with no reservation so I would suggest on booking in Advanced but the Food was REALLY GOOD! Would Like to Comeback and try more. 10/10 for the chicken and Paprika, I would have ordered more but I was already satisfied with my Order! Also loved the vibe inside!

This tapas spot delivers a truly authentic Spanish experience. Every dish felt thoughtfully prepared, with bold, traditional flavors that really stood out. The quality was consistently top-notch—from the first bite to the last, everything tasted just right. It’s the kind of place that feels like a hidden gem, where the food speaks for itself and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. A fantastic find for anyone craving genuine Spanish tapas.

Me and my wife went and shared several tapas and everything was so good. The service was great and they were very friendly to us and greeted us with smiles. We got that bravas, mini cheeseburger, the chicken wings, and a tapas the bartender recommended. Drinks were cheap and food was cheap. We spent €30 and were plenty satisfied with a drink each.

Ah, Bar Espanya—a little slice of culinary delight tucked into the charming, cobbled heart of Palma. A welcoming stop, just a short stroll along the still bustling streets from our hotel. No fuss, no flashy signs. Just a rustic corner tucked away. Inside, it was exactly the kind of cozy chaos you hope for in a tapas bar. A menu full of Spanish and fusion comfort food. What else to do but savour a parade of plates. And the vermut— perfect on this warm evening with the dishes we ordered. Prices were kind, allowing us to linger longer, order more, and toast the joys of retirement and travel!

The service was good, the staff were friendly and attentive throughout. Unfortunately, the tapas were a bit underwhelming. Everything was okay, but nothing really stood out in terms of flavor. The tapas tasted very average overall.

Bar Espanya is a true gem located right in the heart of Palma. From the moment we walked in, the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They kindly explained how to order at the bar and even managed to find us seats despite the fact that we didn’t have a reservation — a small touch that made us feel really looked after. The atmosphere is lively and authentic, and the food and tapas are both delicious and very reasonably priced. The same goes for the drinks, making it an excellent spot for both a casual meal and a fun evening out. With its central location, warm service, and great value, I’d definitely recommend Bar Espanya to anyone visiting Palma. A must-visit for tapas lovers!

Absolutely loved our experience at Bar Espanya! The food was bursting with flavor — especially the croquetas and patatas bravas, which were top-notch. The staff was super friendly and attentive, making us feel very welcome from the moment we walked in. The atmosphere was cozy yet vibrant, perfect for a relaxed lunch or an evening out. Highly recommended if you’re in the area and looking for authentic, delicious Spanish tapas with amazing service!
