Great Spanish Tapas Bar! I was here on a Saturday afternoon, beginning of February, had no reservation but only had to wait a couple minutes. The staff makes sure to note your name down and get you the next available spot. Place is not too big, I sat at the bar. Food is good! I had some bread with tomato paste, similar to bruschetta. Very tasty! The cod fish balls were also tasty as well as the patatas bravas. Service is really welcoming and kind, making sure you have a nice stay. Can recommend - very solid spot for some Spanish food.

We originally discovered it through several viral TikTok recommendations, all of which heralded it as one of the premier tapas destinations in the city. It is worth noting that there are actually two distinct locations for Bar Espanya. If you are seeking a slightly more tranquil, spacious, and relaxed dining experience, I would highly recommend visiting their secondary location, which I believe is situated on Plaza de Reimundo Clar; you can typically find a helpful note regarding this second site posted at the main bar if you need further directions. Regarding this location, the doors open at 18:30. If you haven't secured a reservation in advance, I strongly advise arriving 15-20 minutes before the opening time, as a significant queue begins to form almost immediately. Once inside, you are greeted by a vibrant atmosphere. However, a small word of advice for future guests: if you find yourself seated directly at the bar, be prepared for a high-energy environment. It can become quite crowded as people gather to place their orders, contributing to a lively—albeit occasionally noisy—ambiance. The menu itself offers a selection of traditional and modern bites. During our visit, we sampled the croquettes with jamón, the goat cheese burger, and the patatas bravas con sobrasada, all of which were quite good. To drink, we ordered sangria, which was truly exceptional and served as the perfect accompaniment to the meal. While we liked what was on the menu, the “star of the show" was defined the selection of miniature sandwiches displayed at the bar. The variety was staggering, and while the guacamole option was my personal favorite, there are so many choices that there is truly something for everyone. Overall, the food was very good and the atmosphere was full of life. While it can get a bit loud when the room is full, it is a great spot that I would recommend to try it.

Highly recommended!! By far my favourite restaurant in Mallorca. Order literally everything - it all tastes amazing. We waited about 10 minutes for a table, it’s quite a small restaurant so be prepared to wait or get a reservation. Some of my favourites are the burrata, mini burgers, croquettes, and sirloin steak. There was nothing negative about this dining experience. Service was quick and our server kept the drinks coming! Must try in Palma! 10/10

This is another popular bar in Palma. I didn't have a reservation, but since I was alone and showed up right at opening, I managed to snag a seat at the counter. Most people had bookings, so I’d definitely recommend making one. There were so many pinchos lined up—it was hard to choose, but everything I tried was delicious!

We loved the food, the prices and the service. We didn’t have a reservation, so we waited for about 15 minutes for a table for two. The food came fast and was delicious. Our server war really kind and recommended the Cocas Veganas, you should all try it, it was amazing!! Really recommend coming here.

I’m sad to give such a bad star review, I was really hoping to get a typical Spanish tapas bar experience. Sadly it’s just a tourist trap. The service was mediocre, the tapas barely edible. Especially the padrón peppers, which are not that difficult to make, were terrible, if not awful. The dough of our croquetas were not even fully cooked. The tapas at the counter were a tiny bit better than the ones you order on the table. I would only go again for a beer or vino if you sit directly on the counter.

It’s the kind of place that feels like a hidden gem, where the food speaks for itself and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. A fantastic find for anyone craving genuine Spanish tapas. Lovely staff and good, local atmosphere. Food is great! Affordable, tasty and a good variety of local specialities. Local craft beers are also available. It is quite hidden, but right in the city centre.
