Comendador Marcos Bastos ..

Last Saturday, I visited La Catrina accompanied by my wife, with the expectation of a dining experience consistent with the establishment’s positioning.
As an international businessman and Commander of the Republic of Brazil and France, I frequent restaurants across different countries and cultures. I know how to recognize excellence and, unfortunately, I also recognize when it is absent.
Upon informing the hostess that we did not have a reservation, we were received with evident impatience. The communication was conducted in a rushed and discourteous manner. When we asked for clarification, an inappropriate remark was made suggesting that we did not speak English, which caused immediate embarrassment.
Hospitality is respect.
And respect is not optional.
Being escorted to a small and uncomfortable table after the incident further reinforced the feeling of disregard.
We chose to leave.
I do not question the cuisine I question the standard of service. Service is the first commitment of any restaurant that aspires to be a reference.
I hope management reviews its service protocols. The experience begins at the reception.
Sincerely,
CDOR. Marcos Bastos .’.
