Lucky to have another wine bar open in the neighborhood. Warm, casual atmosphere. Great place to catch up with friends. Feels like a place you could stumble upon in Paris. The wines are in the $15-$20 a glass range and they don’t serve food yet (owner said coming soon). Excited to go back and try more wine.

Amazing vibe and wine selection. Staff are incredibly knowledgeable and cater to your tastes and preferences to help you find the right wine for your mood and palette. A gem of a spot. Cozy, non pretentious, and perfect for conversion. Very reasonably priced, and the best wine bar I’ve been to in the city. Highly recommend!

I love Bar Florine dearly. As someone who lives in the low 80s and surrounded by other wine bar options, the atmosphere and wine selection is excellent and much more preferred. Would be an amazing place for a private event as well. No food but has simple snacks.

Bar Florine is an excellent addition to the neighborhood!! All the wines I tried were delicious and they had a really nice variety. The atmosphere is super cozy, I felt like I was back in France and the owner was great at explaining the flavor profiles. Looking forward to returning soon.

Bar Florine is an upper east side gem!! The wine list is consistently well-curated and the ambience is cozy and intimate. It’s an amazing spot to grab a post-dinner drink. The owner Julie is also amazing!

Super cute ambience and probably one of the best glasses of both white and orange wine we’ve ever had! Owner was very kind and walked us through each wine before we decided and gave us samples to try.

I couldn’t feel luckier to have this gem a few blocks from my apartment. If it was downtown you’d never get a table (so thank god it’s not!). The owner is so personable and very knowledgeable (but also doesn’t make you feel bad if you don’t know wine, like me). The atmosphere is calm but elevated, and the wine is of course divine. Run, don’t walk!

I hesitate to write this but truly had the worst food and dining experience of my life here on Friday evening. A friend and I wanted to have a night cap after dinner and came to Bar Florine for good wine. We arrived at around 10/10:30 and sat at the bar. Some of the tables were occupied. We could immediately tell the bartender was in a bad and off putting mood. We tried to exchange pleasantries, “hey how’s your night going, no rush on getting our order, take your time” and our effort was dismissed. We ordered our wine. I asked for a Bordeaux. The bartender then explained that this was a “premium wine” that would be $26 - not sure what the intimation was there but $26 for a glass of wine on the UES is pretty standard. She poured us each a taste. I didn’t love mine but it was a premium Bordeaux so I ordered a full pour. After 1-2 more sips I realized the wine was corked. I politely told the bartender and asked if I could have the white wine my friend was having. She proceeded to chastise me saying this is why she poured me a taste and i shouldn’t have gotten a glass. I said I understand, I’m happy to pay for the glass that went bad plus the new glass I had just ordered. She proceeded to say “don’t worry about it” and then grabbed and poured my friend’s full glass of wine - that he was actively drinking - down the sink. We offered to pay the bill and the bartender said no it was a misunderstanding and basically told us to leave. In any city, state, or country I’ve ever visited this was the worst I’ve ever been treated by member of the service industry.

Yelp
This is a small but lovely place to enjoy a glass or even a bottle of wine. It is quiet with no TV and the music is good but soft enough to have an easy conversation. Happy hour is from 5 pm to 6 pm. Three of us split a delicious bottle of French champagne for $60 which is a good price anywhere but especially in NYC. we will be coming back to enjoy again.
