Cheeky cocktails & wines pair with inventive bites at this hip, stylish bar & lounge with a patio.
"If atmosphere could make you tipsy, then you’d be feeling a buzz before you even took a seat, never mind touched a drop, in Bar Helix, Kendra Anderson’s RiNo lounge. With its bubble-patterned base and back panel mirrored like a disco ball, the bar alone glitters and pops like a glass of Champagne; entering the back room, dark and cozy in gold-flecked crimson, feels like being immersed inside a Negroni. Anderson and her bar team produce about 20 cocktails that, though seasonal, always rely on the element of surprise. At any given time, they’re featuring as many as seven or eight variants on the classic Negroni; a group of four guests can choose one for service in a crystal decanter. Not coincidentally, sparkling wine and CBD-infused libations are other key offerings. This place was built to make everybody feel comfortable—not to mention sexy—in their own skin." - Ruth Tobias
"Bar Helix is all about the flirtatious, from bar design to drink descriptions. And while it’s first and foremost a modern wine bar, cocktails too are seriously fun in this clubby RiNo room. The cocktail menu changes seasonally but will always include multiple versions of a Negroni." - Eater Staff
"Thursday nights are “Bougie Nights” at RiNo’s Bar Helix, where drinkers can get down to ‘70s and ‘80s disco, funk, and R&B with friends or loved ones. Go on Valentine’s for the $10 specialty cocktails and $8 Miller High Life 750 ml bottle service, you know, for the classiest of date nights." - Camila Navarrette, Josie Sexton
"Our 2018 reader’s choice winner for bar of the year is putting on a special month-long event this December. Drinkers can work their way through an all-Negroni cocktail list during the “12 Negronis of Christmas.” Once they’ve tried them all, prizes will be awarded in the form of bottled cocktails and gift cards. If it’s all too much, there’s also the “baby Negroni” tasting option." - Josie Sexton
"For date night, a night out with friends or a solo adventure, try this swanky but unbuttoned lounge that doesn’t take itself too seriously, serving Miller High Life, caviar, and potato chips. Though the signature drink is the Helix negroni, a house favorite, try the other cheeky cocktails such as “an interesting single man,” with reposado tequila and jalapeno-infused agave syrup, or the “come + get it,” with vodka, St. Germain, and a citrus twist." - Gigi Sukin
