12 Best Rooftop Bars to Visit in Savannah, Georgia | Eater Carolinas

"Atop the Thompson Hotel, 13 stories above Savannah’s newly developed Eastern Wharf, Bar Julian’s wide-angle view of the historic district is among the best. Flavors of the Eastern Mediterranean cascade across the food and cocktail menus. Sip a Short Sleeves (gin, Montenegro, baklava, fig, and grapefruit) and soak it up with a mezze platter or a vegetarian-friendly za’atar flatbread. Great for group hangs and special occasions." - Kiki Dy

"Drinks are always better with a view. Bar Julian is the newest rooftop bar housed in the upscale Thompson Hotel. Not staying at the Thompson? No problem. The rooftop is open to everyone. Stopped by this bar with a few colleagues midday. The atmosphere was okay—nothing special, but decent for a casual outing. I tried a cocktail, but it didn’t quite hit the mark. It was just okay, not as flavorful or well-crafted as I expected. One of my colleagues had the cheeseburger, which unfortunately wasn’t good—he thought the meat might have been off. Thankfully, the staff handled it well and refunded him without any hassle. I ordered the whipped feta with flatbread, and that was actually really good. Creamy, flavorful, and nicely presented. Overall, the experience was mixed. Some highlights, but definitely room for improvement, especially with the food and drinks.

Google
Another great experience at Bar Julien. The entire experience was exceptional. The team did a fantastic job taking care of us. The new menu is exactly what we missed. Well done Team Bar Julien and thank you for a great afternoon.

Google

Google
This was our first time in and the experience was very nice. The bar is clean, relaxing and welcoming with comfortable furnishings. The staff was friendly and very attentive with a nice knowledge of the menu items. The menu was appropriately sized, with a nice range of appetizers and meals. I highly recommend the Hummus with crustini (spend the extra and get the side of bread, it's fantastic!). This was a perfect spot for my wife and I to enjoy a date night and not have to deal with the usual commotion of downtown. I think, Bar Julian offers some of the nicest views in all of Savannah, definitely try to catch a sunset behind the Talmadge, you won't be disappointed. Thank you, Bar Julian for a very nice, relaxing evening and thanks for not breaking the bank (always a plus!!!).

Google
What a night at Bar Julian!! The staff are incredibly friendly and service oriented and The view is amazing! We came for the drinks and we stayed for the amazing sunset and enormous cargo ship! Also - thanks to our awesome Lyft driver Alex who recommended this place even we were in Charleston.

Google
What a spectacular find! Bar Julian has the best views of the city and Savannah River. We enjoyed the mezze platter and margherita pizza. The whipped feta was divine! The quiet atmosphere and views was the perfect getaway from the hustle of River Street.

Google
This is such a great place. Their breakfast is sooo good!! Views are amazing. We had the Moroccan dish and the eggs Benedict pide. Also the latte (more like a cappuccino) and polenta cake (it was good but was cold which we weren’t expecting). 100% recommend.

Google
Bar Julian is such a great spot — amazing views, a stylish atmosphere, and food that doesn’t disappoint. We ordered the Mezze Platter with whipped feta, hummus, and harissa, plus the Stuffed Dates, Gambas, and the Grinder Salad with lamb. Everything was packed with flavor and beautifully plated. The lamb was tender, the dates were a perfect bite of sweet and savory, and the mezze was a standout for sharing. Service was friendly and attentive, and the cocktails tied it all together. A must-visit in Savannah.

Yelp
I downloaded yelp just to leave this review. We are visiting in Savannah and Bar Julian was recommended to us for brunch by a friend. Not only was the food amazing but our waitress, Berry, was fantastic. She was cordial, friendly and wrote an entire list of restaurants for us to check out for dinner around Savannah. Thank you for your hospitality and thank you Berry for how wonderful you are!

Yelp
I'm what you would call "a Lil picky " This place has some of the best tasting food that I have ever had. The staff was always pleasant, attentive, informative, and welcoming. We visited for breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner. Burger 1st, plenty to eat, fries are nice wedges the sauce on this burger along with the bun makes this amazing. 4/5 Chicken Kabob was tender, rice fluffy, and flavorful, not to mention the greens on the plate were amazing! 5/5 SHAKSHUKA seems to be a tomato based dish 4/5 Breakfast Burrito was soft, packed with flavor from the sauce to the meat, and did not disappoint at all!5/5 French Crullers 4/5 I'm a texture person, and the middle is too soft/creamy for me, but the outside and the flavor were definitely there. House Bread with pepperoni butter, so soft, so full of flavor with a nice subtle crisp crunch on the outside, and the butter was smooth and full of flavor. 5/5 The crispy cauliflower was full of flavor and tasted like Buffalo wings by texture and flavor 5/5 Kafta flat bread was packed with flavor, basically addictive! While the crust was everything that I didn't know I needed 5/5 The Julian Breakfast....potatoes full of flavor with a nice crispyness to them while the greens were packed with flavor and the pork sausage brought it together when paired with the house bread. Great portion sizes with every meal 5/5 Sweet potato bowl, sweet and savory, great amount of food, cleared the plate, and considered ordering more. Pineapple Juice was good, I wanted more in my cup but it was so fresh tasting 4/5 Signature, Julian latte nice blend not overpowering. A decade under the influence. Was good , not weak, and nor was it too strong and presented well. 4/5 Let me say that the Sunset vibes and views are amazing, always seated promptly. I would come back to Savannah just for Bar Julian. If you have never been you must come and you'll wish you had known about this place sooner.

Yelp
My companion and I visited for drinks this evening. Spectacular views, nice atmosphere, and excellent cocktails. In my companion's case, she was most impressed withe quality of her cosmo. Service was fast and friendly. Note: the best views are on the outside terraces, with limited seating and standing rail room. Plan accordingly, and be prepared to wait for an open spot.

Yelp
I believe Bar Julian offers the best views of Savannah. Situated on the top floor of the Thompson Hotel and open to the public, Bar Julian is an excellent choice for food, scenic views, and drinks. Despite being a bar, the menu caters to everyone with options such as pizza, burgers, flatbreads, and desserts. The service is exceptional, the staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is great. Whether you are a Savannah resident or just visiting, I highly recommend checking out Bar Julian.

Yelp
We stopped by this rooftop restaurant for breakfast during our one-night visit. We weren't used to the layback style in the South and thought we could finish breakfast and then go back to take a nap before hitting the road. However, it took us at least 2 hours to finish. The food was good, and the view was unbelievable.

Yelp
Bar Julian offers some of the best views in Savannah thanks to their rooftop atmosphere. We dined here two mornings in a row, as it was included in our American Express package. Both mornings, I ordered the eggs Benedict. It was phenomenal! My boyfriend enjoyed the shrimp and grits, as well as the homemade bread. The service here was extremely slow, hence why it only gets 4 stars. We ordered both days immediately after we sat down, and it took 30 or more minutes to get our food, early in the morning! I would recommend, but allow for extra time.

Yelp
I recently visited the rooftop bar at the Thompson hotel, which is part of the Hyatt brand, and I was completely blown away. The modern yet traditional vibe of the place is perfectly balanced, and the two outdoor patios offer a breathtaking panoramic view of Savannah from all sides. The scenery was so captivating that I felt like I could sit there forever. The food was an absolute delight. I tried the mushroom pizza topped with local oyster, mushrooms, caramelized onions, mozzarella, and rosemary. It was truly heavenly! Even my picky-eater husband couldn't resist the deliciousness of the chicken kebab and cleaned his plate. And the double stack burger was hands down the best I've had in a long time. If you're a burger connoisseur, you definitely need to try it! To top it off, their cinnamon vanilla latte was the perfect way to end the meal. I highly recommend Bar Julian to both locals and visitors. Our server, Shamika, was exceptional - extremely attentive and her recommendations were spot on!

Yelp
Firstly the view is stunning. Second, the best hummus I've ever had. And not least by far, the drinks were phenomenal. Our waitress was our favorite of the whole trip. We loved this place and would go back. Pro tip order the bread when you order any dip it doesn't come with it and it's worth it. Sooooooooo good!

Yelp
We decided to come here for delicious drinks and a beautiful view and we got both! We were seated quickly as we came off the elevator and were seated outside to enjoy the view. The view is just beautiful and calming. I also really like the decor! The seating outside is nice. The chairs are comfortable and the tables are sturdy. They also have fans that spray misty water which is nice for those hot days! The waitress and hostess were both kind and friendly. The Negroni was delicious! Also the menu had different food options that I am hoping to try on my next visit here!

Yelp
This is the best kept secret with the best roof top views in Savannah. The hotel is beautiful as we walk through.(haven't been a guest yet ) Very upscale and trendy in appearance. Great cocktails. On the pricey side definitely but worth it ! Service is exceptional which is hard to find these days. The hummus and fresh baked bread is off the charts !!! We just found this spot and we have been 2 times in one week and love it. Both visits we ate the hummus and bread before I remembered to take a photo. Here are some shots of our dinners that were all amazing. We will be back soon ! Thank you for having us

Yelp
What a gorgeous place! We visited here our first time staying at the Thompson and went for breakfast our most recent stay. Both times we visited were around New Years so it was on the cooler side. We sat at the bar the first time and only had drinks. When we went for breakfast, we sat at a table inside. The service both times was excellent and of course the view as well! We ordered two rounds of drinks our first visit-wine and beer. I must say, every glass of wine I have had at the Thompson has been perfect. The prices are steep though. There are an abundance of choices for drinks. If you do not want wine or beer, there are several choices with cocktails. Or you can order other cocktails from the full bar. For breakfast, I was told at checkin that it was served until 11am but we noticed patrons showing up after 11am. I think breakfast is served until noon and then brunch is served. I was confused so we went around 10:30am. I had $60 to spend for breakfast so we splurged. We each chose the breakfast plate, a bowl of fruit, French toast pudding, coffee, and oven bread. We did attempt to order the French Cruellers but they were out. Our food arrived in a very timely manner and everything was correct. Everything was delicious and were quality ingredients. Of course we had a difficult time finishing everything so I wrapped up whatever leftovers my dog was allowed to eat. She was quite ecstatic with the food as well lol! Our server, Hannah, was very professional, attentive, and friendly. We observed some difficult patrons dining around us and that did not affect her. I think next time we are going to try the regular menu, although the menu is more appealing to hubs than me.

Yelp
Food was just ok. Spicy red pepper dip was just savory but not much sweetness, which it should normally have with pomegranate molasses. Pepperoni pizza tasted off with beef bacon. Pizza butter only had flavor if it was a bite with seasoning on it. House bread was delish though. Just wish I had something better to dip it in. View was gorgeous! Nice place to chill. Drink tasted fine but no buzz so very light handed pour.

Yelp
Beautiful inside with a gorgeous view of the city. I was really impressed with this rooftop bar and restaurant. Great and friendly service and hostess as well as wonderful food and a stunning view. We sat at the bar one day and another at a table in the bar area and you have panoramic views of the water and city from here. On a sunny day you can see for miles and miles. They have outdoor seats when it's nice and large garage doors they can throw open so I'm sure in summer this is a great place to be. We had breakfast two days in a row here and both days were excellent service and delicious food. We also stopped in to browse for a light snack and their lunch menu looks wonderful as well. It's a Mediterranean-inspired menu with lots of pita, naan, fresh breads and yummies. My husband had the Shakshuka the first day with their fresh pita bread and the breakfast pizza the following day. Both days, absolutely delicious. His breakfast pizza was phenomenal in taste - I liked it as well. I chose the eggs Benedict the first day which isn't like the traditional style - it's a bread boat (huge) with eggs and greens and cheese inside. No meat. It's a giant portion and I probably wouldn't order it again. The second day I ordered the yogurt and granola with a side of fruit and the warm pita bread - it's warm, fresh, soft and doughy and thick. It reminded me of the some of the bread I had in Egypt. SO delicious with some butter and jam! The yogurt parfait is a super small portion - the small side of fruit for $4 is well worth it - lots of grapes, pineapple, apple, melon, blueberries and strawberries. A great selection and generous size. I'd happily eat here again and again and would come back for lunch as well. If I'm in town again, even if not staying at this hotel, I'll search this out for a meal!

Yelp
I love rooftop bars and this one has the added benefit of having amazing food, cocktails, and mocktails. When you are here, you have to order the bread platter. It is the best bread I have ever had. It is dangerously good. I'm staying downstairs in the hotel and in a period of less than 24 hours, I have ordered three bread platters. It's that good! Another great thing is they have baskets of blankets you can use when you are sitting outside and it gets too chilly. Very helpful when the cold and wind picks up due to being close to the water.
google avatar

Jennifer D.

Yelp
Is this the perfect bar? They got everything right. Great lineup of drinks - very unique cocktails and the ones we tried were delicious! The bartenders are excellent. Since it was attached to our hotel we made three trips here. Every person working was great! We loved the food. Two trips in were for brunch and one trip was just for the bread! The views are amazing, the interior is modern, but comfortable. Really beautiful.

Yelp
While visiting a nearby speakeasy, we asked the bartender where he liked to go as a local. This was his first and only choice. Bar Julian is a rooftop bar with an amazing view of the city lights, and on a temperate December night it was the perfect choice. Our server was admittedly new but very friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is great for couples or small groups of friends. The menu is pretty limited but the drinks and food are moderately priced for a night out in Savannah, and I could definitely see this place as a date night destination. The only thing that kept this place from 5 stars was the train whistle, seemed like it came thru every 10 minutes or so, and although the bar can't do anything about that, it definitely took away from the vibe.
google avatar

Erynne B.

Yelp
Our favorite spot in Savannah, we were able to sit outside without reservation, and watch the beautiful sunset. The food is phenomenal, make sure you try the house bread, I think we ordered the house bread every single day we went for breakfast and dinner. 1010 recommend this restaurant.
google avatar

Jason L.

Yelp
Quite possibly the best view in Savannah. Bar Julian is nestled high atop a hotel with a trendy vibe and an indoor/outdoor bar and restaurant. The view overlooks the Savannah River and downtown from the southeast. Incredible. Aside from a wide selection of boozy indulgences, Bar Julian also slings up quite a few tasty treats and although most are noted as sharable, they aren't exactly small bites and we 100% over ordered. We got a Georgian Cheese Bread (w/ egg because why not?) potato wedges, feta dip and nachos. Way too delicious and way too much; we had lunch for two days. Worth it. Good food, good service and an unbeatable view.
google avatar

Amy L.

Yelp
Went for Sunday brunch and this place didn't disappoint us at all. Drinks, food, service were all phenomenal! Highly recommend it for folks looking for a wonderful Sunday Brunch experience in Savannah.
google avatar

Yelp
We were looking for a new place for a early morning breakfast celebration of my birthday. Bar Julian was a great find. Away from the over crowded areas of River Street. I've always been a rooftop bar guy, but those around river street, you end up looking over at other rooftop bars. At Bar Julian you have a great view of the river and cargo ships coming in. A nice view of the Westin and just a very peaceful atmosphere. The fact that they open at 7:00 a.m. is a big plus. I've found my new best place.
google avatar

Cindy P.

Yelp
Food was 10/10. We got the breakfast sandwich yesterday and it was UNREAL. The cheese pide is really cheesy and delicious. The service today was actually pretty terrible. Our server forgot absolutely everything (napkin, utensils, stuff we ordered, drinks, etc). Regardless, I highly recommend this place. The food and ambiance were superb!
google avatar

Lauren K.

Yelp
This is a must go. It's a Savannah show stopper! Perched above the eastern wharf, you can sit outside and watch the sunset over the river and city. They offer a happy hour at sunset and the red wine is quite tasty. The food is really good. I highly recommend the pizza or a sandwich. The dough is scrumptious. Everything comes out temperature perfect and nicely plated. The staff are also warm and inviting to round-out the experience. The prices are competitive and not hotel double charged. Looking for a hotel to stay in on the next trip to Savannah? Want a date night spot? Just need a pick me up? Julian and the Thompson Hotel are the answer to your needs.

Yelp
This place is such a vibe. The ambiance is absolutely perfect for multiple occasions: date, bday celebration, casual night out. I came here Saturday evening because we didn't want our night to end early and wanted to get a view of the city. Located in a developing neighborhood, and attached to the Thompson hotel, we found street parking and made our way to the roof. We were told the seating outside was a bit wet because of the rain (as to be expected) and that we could sit wherever we felt comfortable or stand if we wanted. They had a DJ spinning from 8-11 (this place is 21+ after 8 - YAY!) and she did a great job of keeping the vibe going. Unfortunately, the bar felt a little more hectic than the rest of space. A lot of moving quickly/chaotically. We went to the bar to get a drink and unfortunately the bar staff weren't as friendly or attentive. We stood at the bar for at least 10 min waiting for the bartender in front of us to look up and acknowledge us/speak to us. There were to others behind the bar, and they didn't greet us either. Eventually one came over and went straight to another couple who had just walked up, and only after we spoke and said we had been waiting did he say "oh I thought she (pointing to the other bartender who had yet to acknowledge us) had taken care of y'all." He then took our order, but wasn't very friendly. I hope that when I return that the bar will compliment the rest of the rooftop vibes there.

Danielle S.

Yelp
The views were my favorite part and sunset is the time to go. There was a DJ on Saturday night which created great energy. Service was very nice, it just took a bit, but they were busy. The pizza and potato wedges were tasty. It's nice they have heat lamps outside. Overall a very fun experience.
google avatar

Laks P.

Yelp
I went here on December 30th during the evening and they were getting packed around 5:30 pm, so the service was slow but the servers were very nice and attentive. It was the perfect spot to catch the sunset if you get outdoor seating. It's a bit cold during the winter to truly enjoy this experience, but I would love to experience a summer evening sunset here.

Lili D.

Yelp
I live across the street and come here often. The food here is great, but the bar staff is consistently rude. My friend and I came for a pre-dinner cocktail on Saturday and were rudely turned away due to the fact that my friend from Russia did not have her passport with her in addition to her ID. When the manager told us that they couldn't serve us due to "Chatham County Laws", we decided to go to the lobby bar and guess what?! They served us just fine. :-) I feel that we were unfairly targeted and profiled from the beginning of ordering at the bar because I too am from an obscure place (New Mexico). This is not the first time I have been treated poorly for this reason here. We are 24 year old women and it was a terrible start to our fun weekend plans. Very upsetting as a local who has supported this place since its opening.
google avatar

April P.

Yelp
Awesome view and great food! I went to bar Julian for a salsa night and it was awesome! After dancing the night away I slipped up to the rooftop bar for some late night eats and drinks! The bartender made me a pretty good spicy margarita. I do think the drinks are a bit pricey but it's likely do to the small extra touches such as a flower frozen into the ice cubes. I had the mussels and it comes with so many! Their house made chili oil was also great! I will definitely come back soon to enjoy another drink and hopefully some of the pizza at Bar Julian.
google avatar

Brittany N.

Yelp
The worst thing about this place is that no one told me about it sooner! What a great hidden gem in Savannah. The view of Savannah is unbeatable, the cocktails were beautiful AND delicious, and I'm pretty sure I'll be dreaming about the Kafta Flatbread and Whipped Feta for a while! I absolutely recommend!
google avatar

Chan Y.

Yelp
Best Views. Best Drinks. Best Bar in Savannah. Savannah is a charming southern city with plenty of great places to eat and drink, but we found ourselves going the Bar Julian the most, as the best bar in town turns out was right at our hotel. The tallest rooftop in Savannah with unobstructed views of downtown and the river in all directions.
google avatar

Bryan M.

Yelp
A great setting for watching downtown and the ships going up and down the river. Food is pretty good. Not great, but pretty good for a rooftop bar. Service was OK. Had to ask for someone to take our order, finally. But after that, we had their attention. Maybe a handoff problem as we asked to sit outside after initially sitting inside. Recommend that if you can. Blood Mary's were very good. We had the Sunday brunch items (breakfast pizza and breakfast burrito) both again pretty darn good. We'll be back for sure.
google avatar

Sheryl W.

Yelp
Located in the Eastern Wharf atop the Thompson Hotel in Savannah is a fun spot with excellent service and tasty food. I had the PEI Mussels which had a delicious Smokey flavor and the homemade bread to soak up the broth after. Although I went with a simple cocktail, the staff behind the bar looked to be true mixologists turning out beautiful drinks with interesting ingredients. The vibe was awesome, service excellence, and the sunset was spectacular. Highly recommend.

Mel H.

Yelp
Quinna is amazing! Such great service. The sun views are amazing here, 10 out of 10!! Darius is also really great. Had a nice conversation with him. The people here are really great and it makes the whole experience.
google avatar

Ashley H.

Yelp
This spot is so perfect. We were looking for something fresh to eat with a scenic view and Bar Julian was just that!!! This is a must when you are in Savannah!
google avatar

Amber C.

Yelp
Bar Julian is hands down one of my favorite places to eat + sit rooftop! It's the tallest rooftop in Savannah (located in the Thompson Hotel) and has one of the best views of the city! Menu Favorites: Pepperoni Butter and Bread, Whipped Feta + San Marzano and Pepperoni Pizzas Cocktail favorites: Bramble On and Thompson Old Fashion I also love their brunch + they accept reservations which is so convenient.
google avatar

Ryan S.

Yelp
Amazing location. Very trendy vibe beautiful view of Savannah. A bit busy and service was a tad slow. Food and beverages are tasty albeit pricey
google avatar

Rikki H.

Yelp
The servers were great in this urban settings by the river. The views inside and outside are beautiful.

D J.

Yelp
It's all about the view ....cocktails light bites and miles of river view is a perfect spot to meet friends or bring visitors to admire the boats pass over drinks .

Caroline M.

Yelp
A small intimate deck facing the city and river with another deck facing out of town Get there on a weekend at least and hour before sunset to get a spot- compared to the service we had at rooftops on River Street, this was impeccable. The wine was cold, the view great and the food looked amazing. Very clean and organized space- kind workers.

Dominic S.

Yelp
What a roof-top location right on the Savannah River! At night, you can get the best view of the sunset in town and during the day, you can watch massive cargo ships navigate through the Savannah River. They have amazing, photo-worthy cocktails that change up quite a bit and their food is SO GOOD! Their flatbread and pita dough is the best I've had. Quite a few of their dishes have a yummy Mediterranean twist. A sunset cocktail at bar Julian is an amazing way to start the night in Savannah. Skip the over-priced hamburgers and frozen hangovers and Wet Willies and go to bar Julian instead.
google avatar

Gina D.

Yelp
The Thompson hotel at Eastern wharf is gorgeous inside their rooftop bar is breathtaking. The views from both inside and out are gorgeous. We were able to watch the container ships and sip our drinks. Each cocktail we got was delicious. The bartender was friendly helpful. Discuss the menu with us and answered any questions looking forward to bringing my family when they come to visit.
google avatar

Mimiko N.

Yelp
We arrived here before 5pm. And We didn't make reservations for our seat bc their website says no reservations before 7pm. After an hour wait, finally hostess called us our seat is ready even though lots of seat available from beginning!!(that's the seat it was available whole time when we were waiting ) So we are wondering Maybe not enough staff?? hostess wasn't clear about anything. And top of that, customer service wasn't so great. We went to get drinks at the bar counter since we were waiting for our seat getting ready. Bartender was ignored us even bc we were there for 10 min. So we just gave up to get our drinks. Pizza was already cold in this picture which is wrong order our server brought us.

Yelp
I didn't eat but looking at the food coming out I'm sure the food was incredible. Service was great she attended to us even if it was a short period of time. Ambiance was the seller for sure. Gorgeous scene I promise, definitely recommend visiting this place.

Anne R.

Yelp
A friend and I were here for lunch in a new place, that had a view of the river. As the reviews were good we chose Bar Julian and we were not disappointed. Food and service were amazing and the view from both sides of the restaurant were stunning. We will return
google avatar

Eddie C.

Yelp
The view was amazing. We had an 8 ppl group for lunch on a Friday. The services were excellent; however, the only thing we didn't like is that the food selection was very limited, mainly flatbreads and etc., with no entrees options, a bit disappointing. 3.5/5 overall
google avatar

Swaz F.

Yelp
What's not to like about Bar Julian? A Rooftop bar 5 mins walk from Marriott Savannah Riverfront with unbelievable Sunset view. There are many places to sit comfortably inside and outside. The drinks were well made. The Staffs were friendly. Bar menu was delicious but could use more items. We will be back here the next time we visit Savannah.

Chris H.

Yelp
Bar Julian is overall quite good. The food tends to lean towards middle eastern. The mezza platter is very good, the whipped feta that comes with it is by far the star of the appetizer. That said the dish is 28 dollars, but you'll notice across the board that the bar-restarunt can be a bit pricey. I would add that the fresh bread they use for quite a number of thier dishes is pretty awesome, but if you're carb conscious your options might be a bit limited. The best part of the place I'd say is the view. I've been to every rooftop bar in the city and Bar Julian beats em all, hands down. Myrtle and Rose is a very close second. I reccomend giving this place a try, I don't think you will be disappointed.

Jack P.

Yelp
Party of 10 enjoyed all that was on the brunch menu. The singer/musician played soft acoustic rock that was not the dominant sound but added to the vibe. Service was sketchy- I think they are struggling with staffing like so many places. They recognized it and apologized. The patio doors were open presenting soft breezes that added to the vibe.

Yelp
While it was early we could only get selected items but these proved taste tempting and satisfying. The pleasant mix of warm olives nestled in olive oil, garlic and lemon with fresh rosemary were a great blend of Greek black, Kalamata, french green and other varieties mixed so that each bite was an invitation to the next. Greeted cheerfully as we exited the elevator, we were offered indoor seating or outdoor. Given the lovely day, and spotting chairs in the sunlight calling us, we headed outside. Our server for the visit approached and introduced himself. Nathan was to be our guide to an enjoyable first visit. After reviewing the brief but varied menu, we chose our drinks (and the craft cocktails are innovative) and placed a liquid order. But...now the food items. While it was early we could only get selected items but these proved taste tempting and satisfying. The pleasant mix of warm olives nestled in olive oil, garlic and lemon with fresh rosemary were a great blend of Greek black, Kalamata, french green and other varieties mixed so that each bite was an invitiation to the next. Another selection available at this time was the very enjoyable bread plate, with fresh, hot bread made in the kitchen, served with Pepperoni Butter (yes, do it!) and warm seasoned EVOO. This is a great way to start your stay, or end your night and the view, like the food and drink items are well worth the visit. You don't need to be a guest to visit Julian, and no special pass is needed to ride the elevator to the top floor to begin your enjoyment. On Sundays Brunch is served in Julian so you can watch the ship movement and tugboats work on the Savannah River below. Great people, incomparable view and delicious food items and libations will round out your search for adventure.

Yelp
The drinks are pricey, but honestly I don't think there's a single rooftop bar you can go to these days where you aren't paying at least $13 a drink. If you can, go here at sunset. It did not disappoint - definitely the loveliest view in Savannah IMO. Ruben (like the sandwich) was the sweetest bartender, and chatted with me as I waited for my company to arrive!
