Rude waitstaff. Sat at a table, the waitress wouldn't even acknowledge we were there, so I went to the bar to get beers. Asked her to keep the tab open as I was going to get another round. She demanded a payment and a tip. Needless to say, there was no tip. They have no clue about customer service. Plenty of other places to get a beer, I'd stay away from this one.

I went on a Monday night and it was really good vibes. I sat in the back patio which is beautiful and covered with art and trees! The beer and cured meats are legit, along with the staff! Go here and enjoy yourself!

Google
Great spot for drinks! We are suckers for back patios and foliage and this place has it! Felt like we transported into a different country. Wish we would have gone back during our time in QC but either way such a good place to visit if you’re in the city.

Google
Fantastic bar to enjoy in the summer as their outdoor space is very quant and cozy. I wish I was able to write this review in French to do it justice but I had an excellent time during my visit. The staff is friendly and bilingual. They make a genuine effort to make you feel welcomed and attended to. Beer selection is great and I wish they had more food options.parking is very difficult as it's located on a very busy street. You may have to park a few blocks away.

Google
Decent beer, decent price, nice ambiance. OK for a pint!

Google
I love this bar. A favourite when visiting Quebec City. Great selection of local beer and cool atmosphere. Casual scene during the day and bumping more youthful scene in the evening. Recommended.

Google
The bar has good draft beer at a good price. The atmosphere is very pleasant with plenty of space to meet up with friends. And the music that was playing could be my playlist! The service was very polite. I would go back many times if I lived in Quebec City. In addition to being in a great location, the street has several cool spaces nearby to explore. I had so much fun that I even forgot to take pictures. Sorry guys.

Google
Great place for a quick pint! Love the decor! Super nice staff and great service! The old pews and such are neat!

Yelp
Great place to get yourself a midday beer or wine. I really liked the thoughtful beer selection and their wine selection was also very good. Plenty of seating in the back but also a few comfy tables looking out towards the street makes for a perfect midday drinking spot. Would return.

Yelp
Well I created a review but I guess I didn't post it. Really enjoyed our visit there. This is the beer but don't think about asking for a mixed drink. Great music, very bohemian Hi w key place Great server Annie, really made us picket and loud Americans feel comfortable We may head back tonight

Yelp
Very relaxed spot. Loved the back patio!! The interior is eclectic but charming. Would love to come back in the winter time to experience this place in a different vibe.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this while visiting Quebec and so glad that we did. The waitstaff was fantastic and knowledgable. The beer selection was great. And the back patio is some sort of magical oasis. We will be back!

Yelp
Awesome local bar, playing great music. Good selection of beer. Might be hard to find a place to sit down, it gets really packed!

Yelp
Beautiful place and such a friendly bartender. He really brightened our day after an empty restaurant refused to seat us.

Yelp
Very cool neighborhood bar. We came on a weekday night, and surprisingly there was also a live radio station broadcast from the bar (Wednesday afternoons at I think 5 - 7 p.m.? After the radio broadcast, they included a buffet dinner! Of course, no vegetarian options, but I didn't complain - the price was right, and I had plenty of beer/wine to tide me over. Great beers, great service, and a cool location right in the heart of Quebec City. I will definitely be back next time I am in Quebec City.

Yelp
We ducked into this place while waiting for a table around the corner. We had 30 mins to kill so we decided to grab a drink. Very cool, unassuming neighborhood bar. With the help of it's dark, rich interior and very nice bartender, one was made to feel welcome and cozy here. The bartender asked what kind of drinks we liked and did his best to accommodate. No fu-fu fancy drinks here. Only "real" drinks, mostly made with good whiskeys. That being said, he did make us his version of a fancy Martini. Heads up if you're hungry. There is no food served here. These folks are serious about their drinks.

Yelp
This was our favorite bar in Quebec! The bartenders were phenomenal! The drinks are some of the cheaper drinks in town. Most all bars in Quebec use a Spotify account to play music and the bartenders would let us request songs and play them for us. It was our friend's birthday so people at the bar were buying us shots. We danced and sang all night and ended up closing the bar down! It was such a fun night! Moreover, all of the locals always recommended it and say they go there often.

Yelp
Stopped here for a couple pints after walking around QC. Sat in the courtyard, which is a must. Place was lively for a Wednesday afternoon. Extensive beer list and friendly wait staff. A microbrew pint was $4.50 Canadien. Sparse food menu, but they do offer a 15% discount off your pints if you bring in food from neighboring quick service restaurants.

Yelp
Super cool patio in the back. Art, trees, great vibe, friendly waiter and great beer-we had the Le Cheval blanc. If you bring in Poutine from down the street you get 15% off beer. You need to be a day drinker like me because it gets really busy at 5pm

Yelp
After ordering a pitcher on the patio the waiter required payment right away. We figured we would be staying a while since it was a nice afternoon and would tip upon leaving. He explained what tipping was to us (which was a bit awkward) and we said we understood and would tip upon leaving. He ignored us the rest of the time there, keeping his back to us and did not check in after we were finished so we had to leave instead of ordering more. One of the other waiters took his tip off the table so who even knows if he got it. Has a nice back patio but was a very unwelcoming experience.

Yelp
I love this bar, it has all the charm you expect from Quebec including stone walls, cozy booths and great beer. I even saw some people playing board games. Went on a Sunday night and there was a pretty good crowd. I can't wait to come back in warmer weather because the patio in the back looks very cute.

Yelp
Nice place with a cute terrasse.. good place to chill while drinking good beers.. staff very friendly

Yelp
Good spot for beers from Quebec. The vibe is low key and friendly. We tried a lovely craft beer made from tea!

Yelp
Magnifique. Great time with family. Drink variety is good and so is the service. Would go back. I suggest you look at the cocktail menu

Yelp
Awesome beer bar in the heart of Quebec City! The ambiance is great: dark lighting, open air patio out back, and funky wall art. The vibe is laid back and relaxed. The crowd was eclectic and everyone looked to be having a great time. The beer selection is lovely and they have St-Ambroise stout on draft---which is absolutely amazing!! The prices are reasonable and the service was friendly. Our server suggested some great local (more from Montreal) beers that were lovely. Overall our favorite beer spot in the city. I will be back for more!!

Yelp
I was glad that I found this place on Yelp. It's a straightforward beer bar that has nice selections, some outdoor seating, and pretty decent decor. I greatly enjoyed the St. Ambroise stout that they had on draft there. It's an unbelievable beer, and having it fresh from the tap was awesome. It's the best stout I've ever had. Not touristy. As a tourist, I liked that.

Yelp
One of my favorite local bars in the quartier Saint Jean Baptiste for great beer from Quebec. Sitting out on the beautiful terrace is a must if you can find a spot. Mostly locals come here. It can get smoky on the terrace but this is a bar.

Yelp
Fantastic dive bar. They have a great beer selection and an amazing patio in the middle of the building with art work and tables. We loved this place.
google avatar

Austin G.

Yelp
Decent bar in a cool part of town. They have cider on tap so I am always a fan. We didn't get food since we just stopped in to watch the World Cup at noon, but the service was good too!

Susan G.

Yelp
Absolutely the best place we have been to in years. It was the start and finish of each day while we were visiting. Highly recommend this place. Great selection of drinks and the bartenders are very friendly.

Yelp
This was the first bar I went to in Quebec. The bartender asked us to go to the other side of the bar but didn't show up for 20 minutes, forcing us to move again to the stools. My friend got an in house 'red' beer and I got shots. He shouted at my friend for not tipping. I went to get a second order and waited at the bar for 30 minutes before asking my friend to go somewhere else and thats when the bartender stopped us at the door with my order and then chided me for not tipping 'enough'. I then took money out that was the order+ 20% tip and he said it wasn't enough and returned the tip back. Overall, a very unpleasant experience but it just says a lot more about the capitalist owner who doesn't pay his worker fairly than it does about the bartender who, also the only worker at a really busy bar with outdoor seating, resorted to verbally harassing customers for tips.

Yelp
If you're looking for a real low key kind of funky brew pub, this is a great place. We sat at the bar and had a great time with our really friendly bartender. He was very engaging and answered lots of our questions since it was our first time to Quebec. Not much on the food options but they didn't advertise that so I won't hold it against them. That said, their Jerky and Charcuterie options were very tasty. Good selection of local Craft beers.

Yelp
This bar is incredible. We saw it written up in the NYT article "36 hours in Quebec City" and decided to stop by for some beer. It was perfect, dark, but not too dark, artistic but not blatantly so and with a great beer selection. We stayed for a couple of hours tasting the fruits of Canadian brewers labors are were not disappointed. Bartenders were helpful and fun, patrons were there to chat and enjoy the drinks. Great place that would do well anywhere but seems so perfectly in place in Quebec.

Yelp
Great little locals bar, huge array of beers on tap for a decent price, nice outdoor courtyard out the back. I come here often. They have free popcorn which is a nice touch if you're planning on having a few beers. Also you can bring in outside food which is cool.

Yelp
This bar is just lovely. I tucked in on a snowy frigid evening to find welcoming barkeeps and staff, cheap beers and a good selection and a great little open mic/radio interview situation (lacking any proficiency in French the radio interview bit was a little lost on me but the music was wonderful.) Having been staying and touring about the Old City, the stop at Sacrilege was especially nice for its authenticity and the sense that its a regular local place.
google avatar

Yelp
They dont have menu, you have to be a regular customer to figure out what is going on. Drink are reasonably priced and the atmosphere is good. A bit noisy but cozy

Yelp
Great bar! We loved the selection of beer on tap! And our server was really friendly. Enjoyed the atmosphere with the locals! The pub is in a great location! Walking distance to downtown, which was great! And they had free wifi which was great since we are not from Canada. We sat down on their terrace and relaxed. Its a treasure to find this kind of places...

Yelp
off of the touristy path, but not too far of a walk from it, this dimly lit, cavernous bar has character. We spent three days in Quebec and this was our favorite place (apart from the the National Assembly tour).
google avatar

John F.

Yelp
If I am ever back in Quebec, for sure I will be seen at this spot. The outdoor seating is amazing, the crowd is a great mix of people, the music was really good, and the service was just about perfect. I love places that have a "dark alley" sort of enterance and that is how we found it. Sure you can use the street door entrance, but that shit is for suckers. Lots of local beers too. Good prices and good times.
google avatar

Yelp
I really liked this place a lot! Excellent beers and a cool atmosphere with church pews and mosaic tables. I could see a patio out back that I'm sure is awesome in the summer. And the locals were an interesting group for people watching. Definitely stop by or make it part of a pub crawl with the other bars on rue St. Jean.
google avatar

Yelp
Great neighborhood bar that gets pretty busy on weekend nights. Excellent beer and liquor selection, good prices, good service, and great taste in music. A nice patio in the back. If we lived here, we'd be regulars for sure!

Allie T.

Yelp
Pros: Great beer selection, solid specials, free popcorn! Cons: The beautiful outdoor patio = haven for smokers. Would recommend this bar - just be strategic with where you sit.
google avatar

Bettina W.

Yelp
Great beer & great ambience. Sat outside in enclosed garden. Perfect....only drawback is the cigarette smoke

M G.

Yelp
Great bar/pub. Great ambience. Great service! We went on a special night- I believe the staff were all wearing pyjamas. It was a great night! :) We went back a couple of days later during the day. We loved it!
